Dinner in the restaurant was surprisingly very good. The staff were lovely and the room very comfortable and spacious

In room 113 there was some very strange electrical noises until late into the early hours. The view from the window was a roof.

Extremely friendly staff and the room was top notch.

All staff were so friendly & professional.Loved the room, so spacious and clean . The TV was a great size & tea& coffee facility, was excellent. Breakfasts were superb & lunch & dinners in the bar were first class. An absolutely fabulous Hotel, I would highly recommend it to anyone & have told everybody about how great the Downings Bay Hotel is.Congratulations to the owner & staff on a first class, fabulous Hotel.

The staff were incredible. From the moment we stepped through the front door, they were hospitable, accommodating and made us feel like we were in our own home. The facilities are fantastic with a well run bar, restaurants and loads of amenities all within walking distance of the hotel.

We stay there every year at the same time and we love it, the staff couldn’t be nicer and they make an effort to meet every request. We stay with our small child and the hotel makes an effort to put us at the back of the hotel to limit noise. The rooms are huge and always very clean, would highly recommend.

Aufgefallen ist uns, dass das gesamte Personal sowohl am Empfang als auch im Frühstücksraum oder Restaurant nicht nur besonders freundlich ist, sondern das wir als Gast auf ein toll eingespieltes sehr gut organisiertes Team getroffen sind. Dadurch fühlten wir uns willkommen und unser Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und entspannt. Im Restaurant ist sofort jemand erschienen um unsere Bestellung entgegenzunehmen. Meist hat uns schon der nächste Mitarbeiter gefragt, ob wir noch Wünsche haben, während sich bereits jemand um unsere Bestellung gekümmert hat. Das war sehr aufmerksam, vielen Dank. Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung des Hotels haben uns auch sehr gut gefallen.

Great location beside the beach and within walking distance of the grub and pubs. Good breakfast with very friendly staff. Very good value for money.

We stayed on a Friday and there is alot of noise from younger people enjoying the nightlife..however not a deal breaker if you remember you were once that age.

Online it looks as though the pool is in the hotel, it’s actually about 15/20 mins walk away up a hill

Breakfast was average but more than adequate and coffee good. We ate every evening in the bar and although the menu remained constant, with one day of "supper Club", the food was excellent. Lively atmosphere in the bar (noisy!)

We stayed in the Downings bay hotel for a weekend. We were doing an event in the area and the hotel was great value for money and in a great location. It's also less than a 5 minute walk to the beach

Very courteous staff. Breakfast had everything I wanted and more. It was delicious. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful. Reception staff were very helpful. The cleaners were thorough in their housekeeping. The bedrooms were very clean and every little task was done to perfection. The beds were very comfortable. The only drawback was the hot weather which left nights very sticky which the hotel had no control over however a electric fan was provided on the second morning.

I took very ill on the second day, had to leave, spent plenty of money on the first day un the hotel, did offer my any sort of reimbursement all all. Very disappointing.

Beautiful location. Local staff provided great recommendations for places to go and places to eat and things to see. Wonderfully accommodating. Truly kind people in a busy busy environment.

Really nothing I didn’t give it a 10 because the mattress was a little soft, but I’m a light female. There was wonderful parking. The staff was truly incredible and the location, exceptional.
