Reviewed Sep 13, 2026הדירה הייתה נקייה, קרובה למרכז והצ'ק-אין היה קל ונוח. המטבח היה מאובזר היטב, והופתענו לטובה לגלות שיש גם מכונת כביסה וגם מייבש. יש מאוורר אך אין מזגן, מה שהיה בסדר מבחינתנו, אם כי בקיץ עלול להיות די חם, במיוחד מכיוון שפתיחת החלונות עלולה להכניס זבובים. הדירה שלנו הייתה בקומה השלישית, והמדרגות, במיוחד אלו שבתוך הדירה מיד לאחר הכניסה, היו די תלולות ועלולות להיות בעייתיות עבור אנשים מסוימים. היה גם אזור גלריה שנראה מתאים יותר לילדים. לצערנו, המזרן והמיטות בסלון לא היו נוחים במיוחד. The apartment was clean, close to the center, and check-in was easy. The kitchen was well equipped, and we were pleasantly surprised to find both a washing machine and a dryer. There was a fan but no air conditioning, which was fine for us, although it might get quite hot during the summer, especially as opening the windows could let flies in. Our apartment was on the third floor, and the stairs, especially the ones after entering the apartment, were quite steep and could be problematic for some people. There was also a loft area that seemed more suitable for children. Unfortunately, the mattress and the beds in the living room were quite uncomfortable.

The photos were deceiving. It was not a loft but rather a repurposed attic. Literally the steps into the place were crazy tight. The bed in loft was hard as a rock and meant for children. The pullout was only comfortable bed. The twin was hard as a rock . Pillows horrible. Description should include amount of flights of steps you have to take plus attic steps. Price was way too high for what it should be.

Reviewed Aug 29, 2026What a lovely apartment! Located just 5 minutes from the center of Appenzell, it was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and had a fully equipped kitchen. Irene was a wonderful host who arranged the local Holiday Card for us, which was super handy for exploring nearby highlights like the Appenzeller Cheese Factory and Ebenalp Mountain. Pro tip: grab lunch from the local bakeries in town, they are amazing! We had a wonderful trip and would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026مكان اكثر من رائع. ثلاث غرف ممتازه جدا مع غرفة جلوس وغرفة طعام وبلكونة خارجية. المطبخ كامل بكل ماتحتاجة. مع حمام مستقل وحمام للشور. السنتر قريب جداً حيث المطاعم والمحلات التجارية. سوبرماركت كوب قريب جداً. الشقة توفر بطاقة ابنزل للفعاليات. واستفدنا منها كثير. موظفون متعاونون عن طريق المحادثات. سنعود لها اذا سكنا في ابنزل.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Dokonalý pobyt! Určitě se rádi vrátíme S ubytováním jsme byli maximálně spokojeni a naše očekávání byla dokonce překonána. Nadchnul nás vřelý a lidský přístup majitelů, kteří byli neuvěřitelně milí, ochotní a velmi komunikativní. Samotný apartmán zářil čistotou, vše bylo perfektně připravené. Vybavení je velmi moderní, vkusné a najdete zde absolutně vše, co pro pohodlný pobyt potřebujete, od plně vybavené kuchyně až po velmi pohodlné postele. Velkým plusem je také výborná lokalita a skvělá dostupnost, díky které jsme měli vše podstatné na dosah ruky. Pobyt jsme si nesmírně užili a toto ubytování můžeme s čistým svědomím doporučit všem, kteří hledají komfort, klid a poctivou pohostinnost. Ještě jednou moc děkujeme!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Central location on a main road but mostly quiet. Close to supermarkets and the centre of town. Fully equipped kitchen including fondue set and raclette maker. Surprisingly cool without air conditioning on very hot days. Plenty of windows can be left open for a cross breeze and there were 4 personal fans, 1 for every bedroom and another for the lounge. Rear balcony looked out over the garages and industrial site next door, but also the distant hills and farms so it was quite pleasant to sit out there. Host was very flexible with requests. Good bicycle storage and e-bike charging points in the garage/basement.
Other guests can be noisy coming and going. The host sometimes took a while to reply to messages, but on the day before and of arrival she was very responsive and very helpful. No power points near the bed. Decor was a bit old fashioned.

There was so much thought put into using the space well including a second WC is a small triangular corner! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and we used the kitchen to cook a few times. Reviewed May 12, 2026Apartament foarte drăguț, aflat la 2 minute de Landsgemeindeplatz pe o stradă liniștită. Am găsit tot ce ne-a trebuit in apartament. Paturi confortabile. Atmosferă plăcută. La intrare am găsit când am venit o plăcuță pe care era scris"Herzlich willkommen" și numele meu, ceea ce mi s-a părut foarte drăguț. Am primit și Appenzell card de care am beneficiat cât am putut de mult. Pe scurt, a fost un sejur minunat.
Un pic vremea ne-a cam jucat feste.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026Die Lage der Wohnung war sehr zentral. In der ganzen Wohnung funktionierte alles und sie war perfekt sauber geputzt. Wir haben in guten Betten geschlafen und die Wohnung hatte guten WLAN Empfang sowie ein gutes Fernsehabonnement. Die Ferienkarte für Appenzell und Umgebung haben wir jeden Tag benutzt und lernten die Umgebung gut kennen.
Im Haus war es etwas ringhörig.

Das Haus ist hellhörig. Sowohl von der Ferienwohnung darüber wie darunter hörte man in der Nacht Lärm. Die Nachtruhe war über Weihnachten nicht gewährleistet.

Die Küchenmöbel, die dringend erneuert werden müssten. Das Badezimmer ist renovierungsbedürftig. Der Fußboden Belag in Bad, Flur, Küche und Treppenhaus ist unangenehm und nicht schön. Insgesamt war der Preis angesichts der genannten Punkte und insbesondere die Gebühr für die Endreinugung (260 CHF!) deutlich zu hoch. Die Treppe könnte durchaus regelmäßig gereinigt werden bei dem Preis.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025Gut war die zentrale Lage, die Sauberkeit, die Größe der Wohnung, der Parkplatz und die bereit gestellten Ventilatoren bei großer Hitze. Wasserflaschen zur Begrüssung und Kaffee zum Verwenden waren auch gut. Die Lage und der Ort Appenzell sind sehr schön, nicht zu voll von Touristen und die Freundlichkeit der Bewohner hat uns beeindruckt. Bäcker, Coop, Lidl und Spar sind fussläufig erreichbar.
Leider waren die Fenster in unserem obersten Geschoss zm Großteil auf einer Seite mit Brettern der Häuserfassade versehen, so dass wir die Aussicht auf dieser Seite nicht geniessen konnten.

Our family of 4 (2 young adults) stayed two nights at the apartment and everything was great - the rooms and kitchen are spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom was nice with great water pressure, and my wife appreciated the flat iron too! One night we had dinner and played cards outside on the patio set in the front yard. Appenzell is a beautiful, picture perfect town with beautiful, enjoyable hikes nearby. Grocery stores and train stations are all a short walk from the apartment. We would absolutely stay here again if/when we return!
We got hit with an unusual heat wave while we were there so a fan for each room would be good to have for those hot nights.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2025Specific instructions on how to locate the key box and open it. The box was very easy to access. We had our keys in hand in short order and were able to settle in right away. The apartment is nicely laid out with the living room separating the two bedrooms for privacy. Aside from groceries, we didn’t need to buy anything for our stay. More than adequate household and laundry supplies were provided. Our host had thought of everything a visitor might need. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. Loved all of the light streaming in and the views of town, the alps, and the Swiss brown cows. Great windows to either fully open or tilt for a mountain air cross breeze. Nice touches in table linens, board games. We had step-by-step instructions on how to use the tv. Very nice and easy to follow. Our host checked on us via email during our stay, had welcome and parting gifts for us even when a family member was ill. She also arranged the Appenzeller card for us which we used on numerous occasions. For location, it can’t be beat. Easy walk from the train station through the heart of the town. It’s right around the corner from the grocery stores. You do not need a car, but I find that true in all of Switzerland. Close to restaurants and points of interest.

Reviewed May 24, 2025The home was perfect for us. Very spacious and it felt like a home to us. We loved fixing our own meals and sitting on the back deck and listening to the cowbells on the mountains. Perfect! Location was great. Could walk to everything in town. Easy walk from the train station. Very close to grocery store. Biking was awesome!!! Would definitely return to this home. This town is adorable!!!!
Liked everything about this place! We were on the third floor so had to navigate steps which was not a problem for us but may be an issue with a person with mobility issues.

Reviewed Apr 14, 2025The apartment was very quiet, clean, comfortable and in an excellent location to visit the town. The space was wonderful with a large, well-stocked kitchen (including coffee machine and pods). The hosts were incredibly generous and helpful when we left some items behind and made sure that they were forwarded to us. Their efforts were well above and beyond. We highly recommend staying here!

The hosts, Irene and Bernhard are superb in providing a very relaxing holiday experience to their guests in terms of amenities and all needed support in their beautifully decorated Holzhaus. Highly recommended!!!
