Reviewed Mar 25, 2026I absolutely loved my stay at Guangzhou City Station Hotel Apartment (Changgang Branch)! The location is fantastic—super convenient and easy to get around the city. The room was cozy, stylish, and clean, with a lovely city view from the window. The amenities were well-prepared, and the whole space felt like a home away from home. The 8.4 rating is totally deserved, and I’ll definitely recommend it to friends traveling to Guangzhou!

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026It was confusing finding the “right hotel” because there were several hotels renting that office building to operate "hotels". We booked Vertical City Hotel with Booking.com but it turned out to be other names upon arrival and checking-ins were located on 3 different floors o operating in net different "hotel" names. That really worried us even though one of them located our reservation, staff running the "front desk" didn't really look professional and common areas were so dark that one would concern to step out to find your room. All 8 lifts didn't operate at all times and some would took you to exit the other side of that same office building which turn out to be Echarm Hotel's lobby. Confusion everyday when coming in and out. One thing concerned me the most was, if anything serious like fire or the sort, who should one go after or claim against? The place is kind of run down anyway. Booking.com should reconsider contacting work such so called hotels which provided not much service like hotels. No phone in-room and if you need amenities, you need to take certain elevator(s) to visit 6th or 9th floor for it. It was such a hassle and they should called themselves accomdations better than hostels or Inn type of facilities, to be accurate.

I didn’t like that the photos on booking are not the same in reality, the room service used to come to the room each day to clean but the only thing she does is throwing the blanket on the bed not even putting it in a good way. The room itself has a lot of problems and it’s not as it looks in the pictures. The sink cabinet was broken leaving water all over the bathroom. The walls of the room has something like yellow glue, the cabinet next to the bed was about to fall. A lot of holes in the walls, the door lock was broken. And so much more.

Reviewed Nov 7, 2025There was a very creative decoration on the walls of the room.
The hotel address was wrong, so I was lost for an hour at night. I arrived outside a tall building, but there was nothing on the floor where the address was given to me. If they had written the floor correctly, there would have been no way to get lost. There was no one to ask at night. The room I was given had a large mirror, and when I reached up to the mirror to check, it was a mirror that could be seen from the other side. It was impossible to change my clothes, so it was a terrible two nights for a woman traveling alone. I slept in my clothes and left.
