Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Jo and Chantelle had just been here a week and were fabulous. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home. They have us just the right amount of attention. We love the location, the surrounding farm, the fresh eggs for breakfast, the room had everything we needed.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und alles da, was man braucht. Auch fürs Frühstück war alles bereit. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und haben uns wohlgefühlt. Ich wäre gerne länger geblieben als eine Nacht auf der Durchreise.

Reviewed May 19, 2026The sky was so clear that we captured beautiful photos of the Milky Way! The host was incredibly thoughtful and arranged everything perfectly. There was also a guestbook where we could record our thoughts and feelings, which felt so warm and welcoming. Overall, it’s a wonderful and cozy stay!
When we first opened the door at check-in, there was a noticeable odor, though we quickly got used to it. I'd suggest adding a reed diffuser or an odor-eliminating air purifier. Also, the electric blanket wasn't quite warm enough, and the heater could only provide a little bit of warmth. Perhaps because that night was exceptionally cold, our hands and feet were still freezing when we woke up in the morning. Overall, it is still a very cozy and welcoming home stay. Thank you!

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026What an amazing place. Location is perfect, away from the hassle and bustle of the town. You are only a short drive from Town centre to a quiet Farm stay. Our host Andrew welcomed us on arrival and told us about the place. The Bed was so comfy we didn’t want to get up in the mornings. The sheep with lambs were so cute. Moeraki Boulders Beach and Moeraki fishing village and Katiki Point Light house are short drive away and a must see.
Visiting In August we had a few frosty mornings. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Reviewed Jan 6, 2026The cabine was just 5-10 minutes outside of Oamaru and is part of a small farm. We enjoyed the company of the sheeps and highland cows and the silence of the countryside. Jenny provided us with a great breakfast an all the tools needed.

Unit is located beside owners house but feels very private due to the great layout of the gardens. A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the gardens. The highland cattle and Alpacas were an extra special attraction. The lovely owner, Jenny, was super friendly, very helpful and offered lots of suggestions of places to visit and dine.

Reviewed Dec 24, 2025It’s so homely and comfortable! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bed linens are divine. The cabin is really spacious and the care taken to decorate it is evident the moment you walk through the door. It’s so peaceful, yet just minutes from town. Jenny is a lovely host, and made time to walk us around and introduce us to their animals. A beautiful stay, we did not want to leave.

Reviewed Nov 20, 2025+ Everything I needed for a stay on their property outside of central oamaru (10min drive) + Very quiet and comfortable lots of amenities in the cabin (cooking facilities, breakfast jams/condiments/bread/juice + Always nice to see a place offer fresh milk, and a generous 1L bottle (really sets the tone of how likely its put more thought and attention to detail, which this place does!) + Multiple heaters, electric blanket + Fun bathroom (double door, so rare!!! As not to disturb the guests in bed with the light directly shining so you can enter on both (corners). I think from reading reviews this also helps if you are renting the other cabin with no toilet just a stones throw away. The bathroom had all the necessities including shampoo, conditioner, aftershave, and a super warm TIMED fan heater!!! + Hairdryer, cable tv (limited channels), iron, broad games and books. Had everything I needed + Really responsive host, easy to communicate with on the platform , happy to make recommendations and gave thoughtful instructions and information beforehand + Animals on the property (including some cows and alpacas) be careful of electric fence not all were that obvious if you're not familiar with them
Thinking hard to find something picky.... i guess the proximity to the main building. I didnt know theres a possibility the cabin is attached to the main building and if i had known this i might have been even more mindful of noise depending whats on the other side of the bedroom wall. But didn't hear anyone ok the other side thankfully.

We enjoyed strolling around the grounds and seeing the highland cows. The unit itself was very comfortable and spacious. In the morning we also met the very friendly cat which was a surprise bonus! Wish we could have stayed more than one night!

Our accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and our host Jenny was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property was only a short drive to the outskirts of Oamaru township.

Jenny was kind enough to introduce me to her highland cattle, where I got the chance to feed them, and snap pictures from behind the fence. Even got a nighttime visit from the ginger baby Hokey Pokey, it was a great surprise to meet him!

Reviewed Jun 8, 2025It was a lovely little cottage set on a farming property. I loved the privacy and the beautiful rural setting. The cottage had full facilities, a very comfortable bed and was warm and cosy, heated by oil heating. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches of basic food ingredients in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this accommodation and intend coming back again.
There was nothing I didn’t like. We were there in winter when the garden was dormant but in the warm weather the garden would be beautiful.
