Room was beautiful, modern and felt like a lovely guest room in someone’s home…loved it. Perfect location for visiting nearby wineries! Pool, breakfast, outdoor sitting areas and the resident animals were all wonderful!!!

I was there with my sister, so the open bathroom concept required some minor logistics, but otherwise perfect!

Un peu de variété au niveau du petit déjeuner aurait été apprécié, par contre un membre du personnel était disponible pour cuisiner les œufs selon nos préférences.

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegen, schöne Zimmer, tolles Frühstück, perfekt für die Erholung.

Unser Zimmer hatte keine Abstellfläche, um wenigstens ein paar Kleider zu deponieren, nur gerade eine Garderobenstange. Wenigstens ein Brett unterhalb der Garderobe hätte geholfen.

The establishment is very much a B&B style. It set in a wonderful environment, great views across the winery, private pool, lovely cat and wonderful staff providing the breakfast and looking after the rooms.

There really needs to be a fridge in the rooms and more storage space. Breakfast at 8.30 is a bit late and the food options other than breakfast were a little pricey however given the location of the establishment it may be offset by not going into the local town

Our stay at Quinta da Salada was amazing. From the moment we arrived, the views were breathtaking. Check in was easy and the owner gave us an overview of the property and amenities as well as plenty of recommendations for the area! The breakfast was fantastic each morning on the terrace - a lot of options to choose from and made to order scrambled eggs! The wine was fantastic and we loved the ease of the wine fridge to enjoy a glass whenever we liked. Snacks and lunch are available to order throughout the day, we had a delicious cheese board. There are so many fantastic areas to relax and take in the scenery! We really enjoyed our stay and are already talking about returning!

The location is easy to access from the main road, but you definitely need a car to explore the area or get to restaurants for dinner!

La Quinta a été un réel charme! Dès votre arrivée sur les lieux avec l’entrée, c’était tout à fait magnifique! La décoration des lieux étaient magnifiques et un beau style rustic-chic, la vue sur le vignoble était spectaculaire, la vue de notre chambre aussi était belle et l’emplacement était idéal pour nous! Le petit déjeuner était vraiment complet et dans une salle bien décorée! Tous les petits détails étaient là:) Aussi, merci au propriétaire qui nous a faite pleins de suggestions dès notre check-in. Un plus si vous aimez les animaux, il y avait deux ânes un peu plus loin sur leur terrains. Ils étaient adorables!

Honnêtement, nous sommes tombés sous le charme de l’endroit! J’aurais peut-être un meilleur wifi, mais c’est tout.

The women who was there for the guests was so welcoming and just wonderful! The location of course amazing. The view the set up, there is so much love into detail there.

The only disadvantage was the open bathroom. We thought we would be fine with it but we werent. Hope they plan to build some rooms or houses without an open bathroom concept.

The pool was lovely and relaxing. The grounds were groomed nicely. The head house staff was so kind and welcoming.

As a traveler without a vehicle, I would never of booked this property. It is very far away from the train station, and quite remote. Walking the grounds isn’t really possible as it has a private entry up a steep road so there was no value in leaving the property without a taxi. The bed was not comfortable, and it smelled like damp mildew in the room. As a traveler who has stayed in vineyards and farm stays, more value could have been added to the trip by providing free bottle water and a bottle of wine for the stay. Instead, everything was à la cart. The concept behind the stay is there, but the small details surrounding it are not, a free transfer, wine, and snack service 24/7 (at least packaged snacks) would have made this feel more like a farm stay and homey.

Unser Zimmer hatte eine "Garagen-Anordnung". Nur eine Fensterfront, gleichzeitig Eingang. Alle Gäste haben bei geöffneten Vorhängen Einblick ins Zimmer.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Le calme, la nature la zénitude et les paysages exceptionnels ainsi que les commodités et la gentillesse des gens.

À refaire nous serions là pour au moins 2 nuits.

Loved the Quinta experience! The beautiful grounds and central location made it the perfect base for exploring the region — just 10 minutes to Régua, 15 minutes to Lamego, and 25 minutes to Pinhão. It truly became our hub for discovering the Douro Valley. The property itself is a charming small Quinta that offers lunch/afternoon meals and dinner by preorder through an easy-to-use online menu. We ended up staying in a couple of evenings because ordering from our phones was so convenient. A wonderful breakfast was also included with our stay — something we somehow didn’t realize at first! 😂 The staff was amazing and took great care of us throughout our visit. The owner was especially helpful, assisting us with restaurant reservations and making us feel very welcome. We would absolutely stay here again.

A piscina poderia ser aquecida. Poderia haver uma porta para dar privacidade em termos de casa de banho. E existir uma basculante no quarto para quando se utilizar o duche, deixar a condensação sair.

The location, fabulous views, excellent accommodation, friendly and very helpful staff made our stay at Quinta da Salade very enjoyable.and relaxing.

The setting in the midst of the Douro Valley vineyards was breathtaking. Rainy weather inhibited us from using most of the resort facilities i.e. pool, terrace, seating amongst the trees

Schöne Lage; schön angelegter Garten mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten! Das Frühstück wird an einem langen Tisch eingenommen - man sitzt also mit anderen Gästen zusammen - das ist Geschmacksache: wir hätten lieber alleine gesessen! Gefehlt hat es beim Frühstück ansonsten an nichts, allerdings wirkte alles etwas abgezählt, was aber im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit vielleicht auch o.k. ist!

Wir haben für 250€ pro Nacht wirklich etwas mehr erwartet! Das Superior-Zimmer (!) hatte den Charme einer „Architekten-Garage“….die Form einer Garage ( schick eingerichtet) mit Nebenraum ( Badezimmer mit WC, nicht abgetrennt/ohne Tür, ohne Handtuchwärmer) Wir waren Anfang Mai dort; die Temperaturen waren noch nicht so hoch, sodass die Handtücher den ganzen Tag über nicht trockneten! Auch die Bettwäsche war etwas „klamm“. Im Zimmer standen künstliche Pflanzen….warum nur??? Entweder gar keine, oder ein paar frische aus dem Garten…alles besser, als diese Staubfänger! Wir wurden zwar vom Besitzer-Ehepaar sehr freundlich begrüßt - echte Gastfreundschaft fühlt sich aber anders an! Auch der Ausblick geht nicht Richtung Weinberge…. Man sitzt also vor seiner „Garage“ mit Blick auf den Garten…. Das mag jetzt alles nach „Jammern auf hohen Niveau“ klingen; aber wir hatten wirklich schon andere Unterkünfte in Portugal, deutlich preiswerter, besser ausgestattet und netter. Wir würden nicht nochmal diese Unterkunft buchen!

It was beautiful, quiet and very comfortable. The outside areas were beautiful, although it was too cold to take advantage of them. Daniela was lovely, helpful and a wonderful hostess. The breakfast was perfect—plentiful and delicious, especially good breads and pastry.

The only thing that was a little uncomfortable and weird was the toilet in the room, with no privacy or isolation. Otherwise the small room was beautifully designed.

Our hosts communication was excellent, we were contacted prior to arrival to make sure someone was there to meet us. Breakfast was excellent, fresh produce fruit and pastries and cooked eggs if we wanted.

A strange arrangement of the bathroom in the room, a certain lack of privacy from one’s partner, although this is easily overcome and made up for by the quality of the room, the linen the towels etc.

We paid for a king room with a queen bed and were placed in a standard double room. While the beds are the same the rooms are a different size. Make sure you are given the room size you have paid for. Even if the rooms are the same price we advise that you check you are given the correct room. Swimming pool was closed on October 15 as per owner and not October 31 as indicated. Owner arises there is no hot tub ad listed. After which owner advised the hot tub needed to be pre booked and at a charge of $90 euros. We have emailed booking.com and they have yet to contact us to review this matter.

offer an early check-in, due to our flight we got in early but not allowed to use the pool whilst we waited. travelling with 2 young kids and it was close to 40 degrees in heat.

Primeiro, a recepção foi bem desagradável! O proprietário já foi falando que éramos os únicos hóspedes e que ele só não tirou férias porque já tinha a nossa reserva. Depois ficamos nos sentindo abandonados. Não tinha serviço de quarto, não tinha ninguém na recepção, não tinha apoio à noite. Foi uma decepção! A estadia mais cara e menos receptiva de toda nossa viagem. Foram 18 dias por Portugal e definitivamente esse é um lugar que jamais voltaria e não recomendo.

Quinta da Salada is a beautiful property, right in the middle of a vineyard with picturesque view. We were running a bit late but Riu, the owner, took his time to explain everything and give us some good tips. Yes, the room is a bit small and bathroom opened, however, we were aware of this before booking and it didn't bother us. Breakfast was plentiful, and the staff was friendly. The second evening we decided to have dinner there with a baguette and salad and wine, to enjoy on the patio. Daniela was very kind to prepare this for us, even though we were a little late coming back. We wish that we had more time to relax around the property, but we were busy touring around the beautiful Douro Valley.

The items on the menu, sandwich and salads, and wine were a bit pricey. No fridge in the room.

Die Lage ist ein Traum, es ist super idyllisch in den Weinbergen gelegen inmitten der Natur. Wer eine Auszeit und absolute Entspannung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Personal ist immer erreichbar und es sind keine Wünsche offen geblieben. Das Frühstück war toll, die Weinverkostung mit sehr viel Liebe gemacht und auch hilfreiche Tipps zu Ausflügen in der Umgebung haben viel super viele bekommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an Rui und sein Team!

Das Badezimmer (und somit auch die Toilette) sind räumlich nicht vom eigentlichen Zimmer getrennt.

O local é incrível. Tudo muito bem organizado e muito capricho na decoração. Rui, dono da propriedade, é muito atencioso e com boas dicas. Recomendo 100%.

Amazing place that will wow you from the moment that the property gate opens and a beautiful driveway takes you to the property. Peaceful and quiet place, with a lot of areas outside to relax (including bed and hammock). Far from any noise, just perfect! I wish we could stay longer.

This hotel was located in a great area for visiting the surrounding Douro valley. The room was comfortable and nice and the property itself was also very nice. There were several seating areas around the property for relaxing and enjoying the view. Breakfast was also wonderful.

The location is amazing. Although Quinta de Salada has a Lamego address it is actually very close to Peso de Régua which was great for exploring the Douro Valley. The property is situated in the middle of the vineyards; it was beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent. We appreciated eggs cooked to order along with the other offerings. Rui shared excellent recommendations for dinner in Lamego.

The bathroom facilities are within the room but not separated by a door and open to the main living space which limited privacy. I was looking forward to using the wood heated hot tub but found that it is not available until November and actually is needing repair and it is unclear when it will be available.

The property was located in one of the most picturesque places along the entire valley! Very nice room, well decorated! Small, but clean and refreshing pool. The breakfast was exceptional! Served in a beautiful kitchen/dining room.

A localização, a piscina e o facto de estar no meio das vinhas, torna o espaço muito giro.

No quarto, o barulho exterior é audível, além de que entra muita luz. Além disso, é necessário ter algum cuidado com o cão, uma vez que este ataca as pessoas quando está solto. No meu caso, o cão chegou a tentar morder-me sem que tenha existido algum tipo de preocupação pelo dono do espaço.

Absolutely stunning, amazing views. Clean property and staff cleaned outside area to ensure it was clean for daily use around the pool area and sitting areas. Breakfast area was perfect/delicious and staff were always present to serve you and help. Our toddler was with us and the staff made us feel at home. They set up a little bed for a toddler without us even requesting it, it made him feel special and her enjoyed sleeping in his bed. The room was spotless. There was nothing bad about this place, I will absolutely come back here!! It was the nicest place I have ever stayed, not only that, but everyone made it feel like we were family rather than just travelers!

The bathroom is in the room so privacy is an issue. If not for this it would be pretty much perfect.

Air quality was bad due to the wildfires, which was dangerous for our baby. Hotel wouldn't allow us to cancel or provide a voucher for a future stay. Very frustrating

Amazing location. Hotel is beautiful. The view is gorgeous with all the vineyards. Rooms are very big and well maintained, very nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good and varied. Swimming pool was lovely. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. There was a very friendly cat!

I was very excited to stay here but I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility, for example, the staff had very strict rules, check in is at 3pm. I arrived 2 hours early because I took an early train. I asked the staff if I could stay by the pool while I waited for my room to be ready for check in, they said I could wait, sitting down, but not use the pool. By the way, I was the only person in the hotel, so this rule seemed a little too strict in my opinion, as there wasn’t anyone else using the pool at that time, and it was 37 degrees outside, but I was only allowed to look at the pool. I had to wait for 2 hours until I was allowed to check in, even though my room had been ready since the time I arrived. (It’s a small hotel so I could see that my room was ready, they just didn’t allow me to check early). There is a small lunch menu, but it’s limited and pricey for what it is. If you want to eat in Lamego or Regua, you’ll need a car or a taxi, keep this in mind. No dinner served at the hotel. (Taxis are expensive in this area) As others have mentioned, the bedroom and the bathroom are together. I was travelling solo so this wasn’t a problem for me, but might be awkward otherwise as there is no privacy for the toilet or shower. I was woken up every morning by kids running in the terrace above. The ceilings are very thin and you can hear the footsteps above (which is the breakfast place).

The staff and cleanliness of the place are exceptional. Everyone is very agreeable and friendly, chatty and helpful. The rooms and public areas including the swimming pool were spotless. This is a charming place to stay in for a relaxing time away from the madness of city life.

The rooms could benefit from a small fridge and some cutlery for use outside of the breakfast hours. Because the kitchen is not open for guest use, and the nearest supermarket is 15 mins drive away, it would've been helpful to be able to stock the fridge with necessities or have access to the kitchen, especially as we travelled with a child and did not want to eat out the whole time.

The property is so private and quiet—a great place to relax.

The entrance to the property and setting is gorgeous. The rooms are very nicely presented and practical. The breakfast and staff are lovely.

The swimming pool area was a little scruffy and the tiles around the pool in places were wobbly.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen, charmanten Hotel. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön gepflegt und besticht durch ihren traumhaften Blick auf die umliegenden Weinberge – einfach ein Genuss für die Augen. Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen herzlich und freundlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Da wir spät angereist sind, hat uns der Gastgeber im Vorfeld eine sehr hilfreiche und gut erklärte Wegbeschreibung geschickt, wie wir ins Zimmer kommen – das haben wir sehr geschätzt. Das Frühstück war super lecker – nicht riesig, aber alles, was man braucht, in hervorragender Qualität. Die überschaubare Größe des Hotels sorgt für eine sehr persönliche, entspannte Atmosphäre. Alles in allem aber ein toller Aufenthalt, den wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.

Kleiner Kritikpunkt. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank wäre gut gewesen.

L’emplacement au cœur des vignes avec une jolie vue sur le domaine.

Absence totale du propriétaire sensé distiller ses conseils sur la région , les vins et les activités. A part la servante en chef qui s’occupe (très bien) des petits déjeuner, il n’y a personne. À vous de trouver vos activités et les restaurants. Énorme problème : pas de dégustation des vins du domaine. On peut acheter du vin (sans le goûter) qui est déjà préparé dans un frigo avec le numéro de la chambre. Tout est optimisé mais il n’y a pas d’échange humain. On ne s’attendait pas du tout à cela compte tenu de la description du lieu et de certains commentaires.

The location and view from the Quinta are exceptionally beautiful. The grounds and rooms are spotlessly clean.

Reception staff were rarely present. Order for small snacks was not delivered. On the last morning, the breakfast buffet was not ready until 08:30 am instead of 08:00 am. The sleeping room with bath was not cleaned once (during a 6-day stay). The cleaning & breakfast staff could speak Portuguese and poor English. The price-performance ratio is not right.
