The Loft at Te Kumi Tirohanga

Modern meets quaint comfortable accommodation. Everything from the accommodation to the farm animals were squeaky clean and well- maintained. Lovely walk to the top of the hill to see the sunset. Beautifully views, friendly informative farmer. Even provided us with some baked brownies.

We had a very comfortable stay at The Loft. Phillip and Karen are wonderful hosts, thank you for the lovely brownies. The view around the property is amazing.

A stunning, peaceful location with warm, welcoming hosts.

The beds are doubles, so a little smaller than we would have liked but we were still comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the elevated, farm location provided a nice, quiet, open, and scenic place for our children and us. The accommodation was well-equipped, which made our stay very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful leading up to our arrival, including information regarding our accommodation and things to do and see in the area. We would love to come back again.

The Loft is very comfortable and very well equipped. Philip and Karen were most welcoming and helpful, leaving us sweet treats. They encouraged us to wander the property and enjoy the surroundings. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Beautiful position, high on a hill with wonderful farm views. Lovely spot out the front to sit in the afternoon sun (we did wine and cheese!) Super quiet - peaceful sleep. Karen made some lovely baked goods to welcome us. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming but otherwise we felt we were left to ourselves which was lovely.

The location is perfect - 5 mins drive to Te Kuiti, 15 mins to Waitomo, on a lovely farm with great views of the region. Very cute pet Sheep out the back of the Loft who were always happy for a pat. The layout of the loft is great - with the beds upstairs, a huge bathroom and sundries including a washing machine and microwave. Karen and Phillip were great hosts.

It was a pleasure to stay at The Loft! The stars, the sunsets, the quiet, the location to town, the place itself - all 10/10! The place had everything we needed, and the brownies and fresh milk were a lovely homely touch! Thankyou Karen & Phillip for having hosting us, we hope to be back!

Lovely bnb, the setting on the farm was fantastic- the kids loved going to see the sheep and the cows. Great base to explore waitomo and nearby sights.

loved how large it was and how it had everything we needed-love that they left us brownies

only thing I didn’t like was having to go down the stairs to the bathroom cause I’m old and have to pee all night long lol

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. Really well stocked kitchen, etc. The kids loved seeing the sheep. Great for accessing the caves and other walks around Waitomo

Very nice, bucolic setting. Liked seeing the sheep graze outside the window. The unit is well equipped and has lots of space.

Would have preferred a toaster oven or an air fryer over the microwave.

Great location in beautiful countryside near the Waitomo Caves tours and Te Kuiti township. Lovely accommodation... Beautifully appointed, spacious, warm and welcoming. The hosts also were warm and welcoming. We had a memorable and lovely stay...longer would have been great.

The attention to detail in this place is amazing! So comfy and peaceful.

Lovely friendly hosts that communicated well and provided us with excellent driving instructions to find the location. We loved that the Loft was warm and cozy and had all the comforts we needed while away from home. We were touched by the home made brownie snack left in the kitchen for us. We felt very welcomed on the farm and enjoyed our short stay very much.

The only thing we would have loved is a clothes dryer. It was great to see a washing machine as we really needed this on our journey, but a dryer would have made the experience that much easier!

Beautiful environs in the middle of nowhere! Lovely house. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Terrific shower pressure! Friendly hosts.

Check in was a little unclear so we had to find the hosts! Not much to do in the evening so bring a book.

This farm stay was Excellent in every way possible! Funtastic air bnb with all the facilities you need. Upstairs the beds were so comfy & warm. Even has a little ‘Harry Potter’ room, which was also utilised to the max! The breathtaking rural farm views as well as over into Te Kuiti township were just second to none. We had the pleasure of mingling with farm dogs, helping ourselves to the Delicious Feijoa trees, sampling the awesome Host Karen’s Brownies.. yummy yummy! Was so Awesome to meet Karen & Phillip they are good old fashioned hosts with plenty of smiles & friendly conversations, very helpful with lots of local recommendations for local outings of all kinds. Their dedication to their farm stay & their farm lifestyle shines through beautifully every day! The exquisite views of the pretty stars & milky-way to name one - at night is just Devine as well.. We will be back again, sooner rather than later we can guarantee it! Thank you Karen & Phillip again for having us, this is The Best Air BnB we have stayed at yet & we have tried out a lot. See you both again soon xx

Loved everything about the loft. Cosy, but plenty of space. Such a beautiful property and view, enjoyed greeting the cows in the morning. Was like a home away from home.

Beautiful property on a hill, away from traffic. Spacious two-storey apartment with a terrace in a green surrounding. Ground floor with kitchen / living room, first floor with sleeping room (up to 5). Good base to explore the Waitomo Caves etc.

The location was beautiful, the premises had more than you could ever need, and the warm welcome and helpful tips (online) were spot on.

Great retreat. I’d been staying in Te Kuiti with trains, trucks and noise. This was just outside town and a huge bit better.

Utterly gorgeous setting! Communicative and friendly host, easy check in, and lovely space with delicious homemade brownies, breakfast cereals, and comfortable beds for our family.

The views were amazing (even despite the near persistent rain). Kitchen was well equipped with a plug in induction stovetop and plethora of utensils. Rooms were cozy and the shower was great. Living Room was super comfy. Bonus points for bonus doggo, Dudley who was super friendly (owners were quite lovely too but dog wins).

Beds are doubles and the place would be perfect with a queen. This is clear on the booking and that's great. My only issue with this is the beds have a wooden foot on them and so tall people like myself can't let our feet hang off the end and really get comfy. I ended up having to sleep diagonal in the second bed. Very minor gripe hence the near perfect score anyway. Just might help a fellow tall person.

Great spot to relax. Loved the sheep, cows and dags. Hosts were fantastic and a great spot to stay to base yourself for the caves and walks. Fully functional loft.

This place was our favourite of our entire trip... We all made memories feeding the sheep, hanging with the dogs, and hiking up the ridge to see the incredible views. The hosts are amazing! Kind and informative, she even baked us brownies 💚. Our only regret was not staying longer..... Recommend making time for this stay, it will not disappoint.

Beautiful setting among rolling hills. Low lights along stair wall provided low safe lighting to loft where beds are. Host provide fresh baked brownies and milk. The little garden adjacent to house was nicely designed and encouraged a nice space for contemplation.

Beware that bathroom is on first floor.

Location was stunning and the property was picture perfect. It was well supplied and I loved the use of classic NZ Temuka crockery. Great to have a washing machine use.
