Wir haben während unserer Südafrika‑Rundreise drei Nächte auf der Farm verbracht und uns dort rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft liegt etwa 6,5 Kilometer abseits der Hauptstraße und bietet eine wunderbar ruhige, entspannte Atmosphäre. Auf dem Gelände leben viele Katzen und mehrere Hunde – alle zutraulich, freundlich und oft in Begleitung der Gäste unterwegs. Spaziergänge mit Wilson außerhalb der Farm war ein echtes Highlight. Wir wohnten im Cottage The Orchard, das sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Besonders gefallen haben uns die große Terrasse mit Grill sowie die moderne, vollständig eingerichtete Küche. Für Ausflüge und Wanderungen in den Drakensbergen ist die Farm ein idealer Ausgangspunkt: Sowohl der Royal Natal National Park als auch der Maloti Drakensberg Park sind in etwa einer Stunde erreichbar. Im Haupthaus gibt es eine kleine Bar, an der man Getränke gegen Gebühr entnehmen kann. Außerdem werden dort Frühstück und Abendessen angeboten – eine schöne Gelegenheit, andere Reisende kennenzulernen und sich auszutauschen. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Eine perfekte Mischung aus Ruhe, Natur, herzlicher Atmosphäre und guter Lage für Unternehmungen.

WLAN funktioniert nur im Haupthaus, was für uns aber keine Relevanz hatte.

Pas de contact avec les propriétaires pour pouvoir échanger sur leur vie de fermier et avoir des conseils.

We arrived late due to a hold up at the Lesotho border but the pre-booked meal was ready when we arrived and we were quickly allocated our accommodation by the very helpful manageress. Meals are eaten in a large communal dining room with an open fire. Next to this is a small bar where drinks are available by serving yourself and listing it in a book. The breakfast was freshly cooked and served quickly once you had ordered and the evening meals were tailored to your taste. The whole farm is very peaceful and accommodation is well spaced which gives a sense of privacy. Both of the lodges were warm, beautifully furnished with very well stocked kitchens and comfortable beds. Self catering would be very easy. There is a swimming pool( too cold at that time of the year!) and a children's playground. and plenty of space to roam freely for the children.

It would be good to have a washing machine in the larger 3 bedroomed lodges although I appreciate that a paid laundry service is offered.

Staff was great especially Delice(Hope i am spelling that right). Responded immediately to any issues. Breakfast was good and dinner very good. It was like having dinner with family. The rental was super clean and spacious, comfy beds We are very much looking to return.

No washcloths , towels not exchanged when rental was cleaned. Far from the main road ( i think about 5-6 km ) when it rained we got stuck twice in the muck would very strongly suggest a 4x4 during winter

Ruime huisjes, goed eten en de honden en katten op het terrein waren voor de kinderen echt leuk. Fijn dat er elektrische dekens zijn want het wordt in de winter snachts echt koud

Ligt wel afgelegen, onverharde weg ernaartoe wn weinig restaurants in de omgeving.

Het eten was zeer goed en de dames hebben heerlijk gekookt. Locatie is wel achteraf maar was ook mooi.

Het was jammer dat wij slecht weer hadden dan ziet het er toch altijd anders uit.

So relaxing and peaceful.

We zijn hartelijk ontvangen, wij hadden een prachtige cottage , met grote veranda waar je heerlijk kunt vertoeven met uitzicht op de bergen en landerijen. Sfeervol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het ontbijt en diner worden geserveerd in een gezellige ruimte en smaakte heerlijk. Ook is er een gezellige bar aanwezig en mooie ruimte bij het zwembad om te verblijven.

De ligging is uniek, mooie volledig ingerichte bungalows in een prachtig decor, met zicht op de Drakensbergen. Leuke honden en poezen aanwezig op het domein. Hadden graag langer gebleven.

The cottage was modern and clean and had incredible views over the dam and farm. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and the little bar to watch rugby was cosy and lovely! All the staff were wonderful and I cannot wait to go back for a longer stay!

Very minor, but the pillows were very hard - that’s totally a preference issue - not a game changer!

We didn't have breakfast, but prebooked dinner and it was a tasty 3-course offering using local produce. Good wine by the glass available at reasonable price. Loved the company of Wilson the labrador, on our walk. Also enjoyed the company of the cats that came to visit us in our cottage. It was a delight dealing with Delyse, who was so helpful and accommodating. We stayed in cottage 2, which hasn't been renovated, but we would happily stay in it again. Liked its privacy, and it had ample hot water in the shower. The temperature dropped to freezing overnight, but the electric blankets on the bed were effective in keeping the cold at bay.

Great meals. Been before and will always go back, great place! Kids absolutely love the place and is utterly charming.

In de logementen zelf best weel koud maar werd goed gemaakt door gasvuur, elektrisch deken en warmwaterkruik

Beautiful, remote, quiet

It was perfect in almost every way. My only complaint is that the cookware and furnishings are a little bit tired. Couches could do with some reupholstering. And the cookware could do with an upgrade (hint: professional cookware lasts long, is designed to be abused in industrial kitchens, and actually gets better with age & use which makes it perfect for guests stays. Invest now and basically never again)

Wow, ein Highlight unserer Reise! Eine Farm mit sehr authentisch eingerichteten Zimmer. Das Essen, ein Hit! Die Gastfreundschaft liess keine Wünsche übrig, auch nicht jene der süssen Vierbeiner :-) Wir haben uns sehr wohl und wie zu Hause gefühlt! Gerne wieder…

Leider konnten die Zimmer nicht beheizt werden, aber die wärmenden Betten haben ihren Dienst getan und wir uns schnell dran gewöhnt.

The property is amazing. The staff is super kind, especially Denise. The cottages are comfortable and clean. Very good beds and sheets. The food is awesome !!!

La tenuta è meravigliosa, rasenta la perfezione. Immersa in ettari di terre coltivate e con pascoli. La casa in cui abbiamo alloggiato era elegante, curata e molto ampia. Ci sono diversi cani dei proprietari che girano per la tenuta e sono dolcissimi ed affettuosi. Deliziosa anche la cena.

Abbiamo avuto un problema con la doccia che prontamente hanno cercato di risolvere e ci è stata offerta la colazione per tale disguido.

Dalmore Guest Farm exceeded expectations. We wanted somewhere calm and quiet, close to Cathedral Peak and Champagne Castle - and it was calm peaceful and beautiful with lots to do near by. Thanks, Delys

Wifiが私たちが宿泊したコテージではほとんど繋がりませんでした。使用するためには共用ラウンジまで行く必要があります。 少し周りのコテージの声が気になりました。

Etwas abseits, aber wunderbar gelegene Farm mit sehr hübsch eingerichteten Häuschen , die alle über eine gemütliche Terrasse verfügen. Sehr freundliches Personal ! Das Abendessen ist besonders hervorzuheben - leckere lokale Produkte und köstliches Fleisch von der Farm! Im stilvoll eingerichteten Essens-Saal mit offenem Kamin kommt man gut mit den anderen Gästen ins Gespräch. Für Kinder gibt es einen großen Spielplatz mit vielen Spielgeräten, die allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind. Liebe Hunde und verspielte Katzen runden die Idylle ab! Bei kälteren Temperaturen könnte es schwierig werden, die Häuser adäquat zu beheizen.Es gibt zwar einen Kaminofen, aber die Frage ist, wie es mit der Rauchentwicklung und der Geruchsbelästigung aussieht.

Die wifi-Abdeckung ist sehr schwach, in den Häusern gleich null, man muss für's w-LAN in den Speisesaal oder die Bar gehen, was ziemlich lästig ist.

Werkelijk een prachtige locatie. De cottage was prachtig en heel comfortabel. We kregen een gratis upgrade, wat erg gewaardeerd werd. De hosts zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en het ontbijt en 3-gangendiner zijn super goed! We hebben enorm genoten hier!

Beautiful relaxing farm accesible for walks and exploring, with amazing kids facilities and activities. Well equipped, clean, comfy and luxurious house. Loved the little soaps and pizza oven.

Ants in the kitchen, outside furniture and cushioning needs replacing, a suitcase rack may be helpful for unpacking and for shorter stays

Wat een bijzonder en fantastisch verblijf! Super aardige mensen, ze helpen je met alles en zijn erg attent. We hebben hier 2 avonden gegeten, en het was zeker het beste eten tijdens onze reis. Ze houden ook rekening met vegetarisch eten etc. Locatie is rustig maar wel wat verder weg van het dorp Bergville (ca 20 min met de auto). Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Je kunt goed wandelen in de omgeving. We zouden zeker terug komen.

A perfect location to exploring the Drakensberg mountains. My husband and I enjoyed the rondavals and the meals provided were nice, there's not much else to find around. All people we get to meet there were super friendly and so were the adorable pets. If we ever come back to south Africa we'd come back to this lovely place.

Pleasantly surprised about the cottage, great location and dinner with all products from the own farm is offered at a small fee. Great place to unwind with the kids (playground included)

Lovely location surrounded by the mountains and farmland. Service and attention to detail was excellent. Meals were high quality and delicious. The cottage deco was well thought through: eclectic and stylish. Very personal approach to guests from the owner Andrew and Delyse the manageress. We loved the dogs and cats visitting our cottage and spending time with us, special shout out to Wilson the golden lab for the walks and cuddles.

We were looking for an overnight spot to stay on our travels North. This fitted the bill perfectly. It was easy to find, the Accomodation was comfortable, and the linen on the bed crisp, and luxurious. It was a self catering cottage, but we didn’t use these facililties, instead we had a delicious dinner in the dinning room, well worth the price they charge.

Feel they could upgrade some of the furniture, it was looking a bit weathered beaten.

We loved the cottage, so clean and the decor is beautiful!

Everything was outstanding!

A special mention for our hostess Delyse, she was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond at every turn to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Her warmth and dedication made all the difference, and because of her, this is a place we and the kids will remember fondly!

Dit is echt een fantastische plek om naartoe te gaan. Zowel als stel of met je gezin. Je komt er echt even tot rust. Alles is klassiek ingericht en je voelt je direct welkom. Er is enorm veel ruimte en als je kinderen hebt zijn ze direct zoet met alles wat er te beleven is. Aanrader

Het warme water werkte een aantal keer niet, hier hebben ze alles aan gedaan om te verhelpen. Bleek een kleine storing en kan gebeuren.

It’s beautiful and well managed

The location of the farm is wonderful with spectacular views. The food was excellent, and that they can provide dinner as well was fantastic.

早餐和晚餐都是农场现做的，很美味。农场有一些孩子们爱玩的游乐设施。有一个户外泳池，可惜我们忘了带泳衣。店主十分热情，总是问我们的需求。房间很干净。我们度过了愉快的三天。

房间里没有Wifi。 户外的淋浴，热水似乎不是很充足。

It’s the most peaceful, magical spot. Really wonderful for kiddos too. Sad we only stayed one night!

Delyse und ihr Team sind die besten Gastgeber, die man sich vorstellen kann. Da unser Flug verschoben worden war, kamen wir erst spät abends auf der Farm an. Delyse war vorab immer erreichbar und hatte uns Essen in unser Cottage gestellt. Wir wären sehr gerne noch länger in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung geblieben und werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

De manager was super super vriendelijk! We vonden het jammer dat we er maar 1 nacht verbleven op doorreis naar Johannesburg. Er is genoeg te doen en zien in de omgeving.

Het is handig als je niet allergisch voor honden of katten bent. Er zijn 3 honden en 7 katten op het terrein. Als je niet oplet komen ze ook je huisje binnen. Wij vonden de dieren alleen maar leuk!

Very friendly staff. We got an upgrade and the house was so beautifull and spacious with a lovely porch to sit outside. It was quiet with a lot of privacy. We were there for 3 nights and had dinner there. We are vegetarians and the food was delicious.

The staff went well over and above! We got lost coming in from JHB and driving in the dark. We needed additional accommodation that wasn't booked and they went out of their way to prepare a room. They even saved me dinner - they called to know if I'd make it for dinner and if not - could they keep some aside. That was so unbelievably thoughtful and helpful.

Hardest thing was the 3 k dirt road to access it which for a small hire car was a bit challenging, no probs for medium size car The metal roof of property did make it quite hot at night , no aircon , just fan . It was v hot late Jan , better second night as we asked for an extra fan , and sheet rather than quilt

Eine Idylle wie bei Rosamunde Pilcher. Wunderbar gelegen um zu wandern. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen cottage mit Blick zum See. Morgens hatten wir Besuch auf der Terrasse von den Hunden und Katzen vom Hof. Unbedingt ein dinner mitbuchen. Das Abendessen war der Hammer. Super lecker.

Es war trotz Klimagerät ziemlich warm nachts.

Ons het as groep by die gastehuis gebly en hulle het uit hulle pad gegaan om dit lekker te maak. Wou die aand gaan eet het in die dorp, net om by die restaurant te kom en sien dat dit toe is. Dalmore het dadelik plan gemaak en vir ons ‘n ete, na 7 in die aand bymekaar te sit. Ons het so lekker geëet en gebly op die mooste plaas!

Lovely to return to the farm with the family. The property offers so much for the visitors: rest and a chance to slow down for the parents and fun and playing galore for the young ones. Love the fact the children can run around and they are safe. The beauty of this farm is unique, it keeps on calling you back for more. Loved the outdoor shower concept.

Deze plek was waanzinnig. Hele lieve gastvrouw en de dieren op de boerderij zijn ook fantastisch. We kregen een gratis upgrade, omdat we graag wilden barbecueën. Zo attent! Het eten, zowel ontbijt als diner was echt voortreffelijk. De mensen bij het ontbijt en diner waren super aardig voor alle gasten. Fijn zwembad waar je kunt afkoelen en de omgeving is prachtig.

The room was beautifully decorated, very aligned with the atmosphere. The room was spotless, and the hosts were very accommodating.

For the price (R1900 per night), I felt that I would have expected a fridge and Wi-Fi in the rooms. The breakfast only had pork and no meat alternatives.

Dalmore guestfarm belongs to an operatively working farm and is conveniently located to the northern or middle Drakenstein hiking areas. The houses are beautifully designed and the garden is just wonderful. We had a "private cat" to watch over our terrace. It is a bit off the main road so you have to travel 6km on a gravel street to get there - as a consequence it is super quiet. Delyse was a great host with good tips to explore the area. Breakfast and dinner where both of great quality using products from the farm.

A door between sleeping room and toilet would have been convenient for more privacy.

Pour notre deuxième séjour nous adorons toujours le cadre, la gentillesse du personnel et l accueil de Delyse. Repas excellent. Endroit exceptionnel.

Alles hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten eine Reifenpanne und das Personal war uns sehr behilflich. Sie haben uns auch viele Tips gegeben was man in der Nähe unternehmen kann.

Dinner & breakfast were great. The "room" was a small cottage that was very well appointed. The dog joining us for a brief walk after our arrival was fun. We enjoyed an excellent stay.

An absolutely amazing escape filled with serenity. The staff were wonderful and showed genuine care for us. Our little one especially enjoyed the pool and playground. The breakfast was really good. We would happily return again and again.

The farm road leading to the property is a bit rough, but this was clearly communicated in advance, so it wasn’t an issue — just worth noting.
