Koud. Kleine blazer van 10 cm2 in de winter pm een kamer van 4 pers te verwarmen.maakt ook hels lawaai. Dit geboekt ala uitvalsbasis naar tugela. Maar ontbij wordt pas geserveerd om 8u. Dit betekent dqt de haard aangaat om 8.15. Koffie start met doorlopen om 8.15. Bestelling wordt opgenomen tegen 8.30 en eten kpmt tegen 9u hoewel er slechts 7 gasten zijn. Heel krap om de dqn naar tugela te gaqn en vpor donker afgedaald te zijn. Personeel op 11 juli heel onvriendelijk. Dame op 12 juli was dan wel heel.lief.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026I had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. They made me feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. I truly appreciate their hospitality and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for excellent service and a warm, relaxing atmosphere.
The only downside was that the shower and basin drains seemed to be partially blocked, causing the water to drain quite slowly. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Everything was good. I would have preferred more towel hooks in the room since the one in the bathroom was quite flimsy.

The host was very friendly and explained everything to us, including the arrangements for breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent, and we would definitely recommend it. The room was spacious and included tea and coffee-making facilities. There was also plenty of parking available.
The only minor downside was that the room was lit with energy-saving bulbs, so the lighting felt a bit dim. Other than that, everything was perfectly fine.

Although the immediate surrounding is absolutely pleasant, clean and tidy, you do need to take a 2min walk for a good view.

La amabilidad y simpatía de los trabajadores tanto del jefe que es una persona entrańable como las camareras que son bellísimas personas. La limpieza te limpian la habitación todos los días. Ambiente hogareńo con las chimeneas encendidas calorcito en toda la estancia. El entorno es precioso con un lago y zonas verdes.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026I was given a room without shower even though it said on booking.com the room would have a private walk-in shower - all it had was a bathtub without showerhead. All you could take was a bath. How useless is that? Never seen something like that in a hotel before... When I asked for a workaround (change of room or possibility to take a shower in another room), the owner wasn't able to provide any solution. When I pointed out that the room didn't match the online description and that I wished to cancel the booking, he didn't show any understanding and refused to give me a refund (or a discount). Ended up driving to another hotel way after dark. Can't recommend staying at this place.

Unser Zimmer hatte leider keine Duschmöglichkeit sondern nur eine Badewanne ohne Brause. Das Abendessen (nicht im Buchungspreis enthalten), war köstlich und günstig.
Als Durchreiseunterkunft zu empfehlen.

Reviewed Mar 9, 2026Everything here exudes peace and tranquility! Perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle, escape from reality and unwind. Real VALUE for MONEY. From friendly and accommodating staff to helpful and very accommodating host Paul. Really enjoyed my stay here, more like a home away from home and would definitely do it again! You are literally on the border of The Free State and close to the heart of the Drakensburg.
Nothing really that I can think of. Just keep in mind it is not self-catering room, so you would not have access to a fridge in your room. However the kitchen was right next door, and was well prepared and accommodating. Also breakfast was included in the price! Talk about value for money!

Reviewed Jan 30, 2026Heel authentieke B&B met grote tuin, zeer gezellig binnen en buiten, mooie ligging in het Drakensgebergte. Zeer praktisch gelegen en toch rustig om te slapen. Kamer kan goed verduisterd worden. Uitstekend ontbijt met keuzemogelijkheid. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Paul maakt heerlijke gerechten, we hebben er twee avonden gedineerd en het was lekker en niet duur.

The woodendoor to my room was very hard to close. No reaction from the owner. And on the second day from my stay, was the second single bed from my room not more inside. They brought it to another place. I got neither information about this transfer nor a question if this is possible. So I booked a room with two single beds in it. This is not the way how guests feel comfortable.

Pobyt w jego domu wspominać będę długo. Spokojne miejsce, blisko wejść na Drakensberg. Kuchnia bardzo dobra. Tanio. Pokoje czyste i zadbane. Wokół domu zielono. Polecam!
