If anyone is looking for a place to go and experience nature then this is the place to go. Allison and her husband were very friendly and helpful. The house was lovely and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was great fun and the braai area perfect for evening kuiers. The bed was comfortable and the showers nice and hot. Our dog also enjoyed the farm and exploring it. We also did a tour of the olive making process and it was very informative. The products are fantastic and you can see a lot of care goes into making it. The location is close to so many great places to visit - wine farms, donkey sanctuary, farm stalls. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. A special thank you to Alison, who was absolutely amazing throughout our stay. She was incredibly friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. We accidentally left one of our belongings behind after checking out, and she was so kind and efficient in helping us recover it. Her exceptional hospitality truly made our experience even more memorable. The location, cleanliness, comfort, and overall experience were outstanding. We felt right at home and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Without a doubt, this is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, and we would happily return in the future. 10/10—highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place with exceptional service!

Literally zero complaints.

The setting is exquisite. The privacy of the cottage was wonderful too. You feel completely away from real life.

The bed and bedding could be improved but other than that nothing at all.

The hot bath-tab with view to the mountains was fantastic!

It is better than the photos. We chose this place as it has a wood burning fireplace as well as a hot tub. 2 essentials for South African winter. It is a wooden cabin set in olive groves which further adds to its uniqueness and fun.

We loved how beautifully kept and spotless the accommodation was. The facilities were modern and well thought out, and the views were simply stunning even with the cold, rainy weather, the scenery added a special charm to the experience. As it was self‑catering, we appreciated having everything we needed to prepare our own meals comfortably. The kitchen setup made it easy to enjoy cozy breakfasts indoors while watching the rain outside. The location was excellent peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a relaxing weekend getaway. It offered both tranquility and convenient access to nearby attractions.

There wasn’t much to dislike. The only challenge was the weather, which limited outdoor enjoyment, but the accommodation itself more than made up for it.

Tranquility at its best! Exactly what we needed to recharge, we felt like the only people on earth. Breathtakingly perfect views, lovely boama fire area and a divine hot tub experience. Also a very comfortable + cozy little house with everything you could possibly need, and a very efficient fireplace to keep you nice and toasty. Lovely fishing experience too.

We stayed in Fynbos cottage. It was spacious and very comfortable with great views. It is fitted out with everything needed for self catering and the kol kol is great for hot and cold weather. We enjoyed ravine and mountain walks with our dogs.

Just a personal choice, but I would have preferred glass wine glasses. But it was not a problem as drinking glasses were available.

We spent a great weekend at Riverbend Farm for a birthday celebration with a group of 15. Accommodating six families across multiple cabins and houses is no small feat, but Alison and Francis made it work seamlessly. The setting and location are fantastic—nestled right in the heart of the olive groves with the mountains as a backdrop. The facilities were excellent and provided everything we needed for a large self-catering get-together. It’s the perfect spot to switch off, enjoy the river, and spend quality time together. The farm is also very pet-friendly, which made the weekend even more special as our dog could join the morning walks through the groves. A truly memorable stay—we will definitely be back! * Stunning mountain and river views. * Excellent facilities for large groups. * Friendly and accommodating hosts. * Beautiful walking trails through the olive estate.

Peaceful location, easy to get to from CT. Bungalows are a good distance apart so you aren’t aware of your neighbours. Accommodation was modern and very comfortable.

Not a negative, but it think the last section of the drive (the section in Bon Cap) may require a sub type vehicle during periods of heavy rainfall. My mini cooper navigated it fine with a once of heavy shower.

Lovely place, well equipped and Allison the owner was there to welcome us and ensure we had everything we needed.

This was our second stay here and we will definitely return again. The kitchen is fully kitted out for self-catering; the braai facilities and availability of firewood on site is a great bonus; the honour shop filled with olives, oils and preserves is also a hit; but our absolute favourite is the access to swimming, kayaking, SUP and fishing right on the river... This is a great place to visit with friends and family to have a comfortable, nature stay.

A well equipped cottage in such peace and quiet. Unbelievable owner. Alison was a phone call away.

The location is situated away from the huddle and bustle of life. It is the most peaceful area I have been to. All in the middle of nowhere and nature.

Geweldige plek. Mountainview cottage was te gek. Wat een rust en stilte, prachtige cottage met view over de mountain. Hottub, bbq plaats. Super.

Professionalism. Alison runs an excellent farm, and the accommodation is fantastic. The house had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

Allison was so welcoming when we arrived. The property was clean , beautiful designs and the farm has so many amazing things and activities to offer. We did some canoeing upstream and it was breathtaking. Their olives are AMAZING!! This cabin was located in such a beautiful spot we had full privacy looking at the mountains. This is definitely a place myself and my husband will go back to!!!

Mini cottage bien équipé avec café, lait, biscuits et huile olive. Petit jacuzzi pour se refroidir. Visite et explications sur la façon qu’ils font l’huile d’olive. Vue incroyable sur les montagnes environnantes. Kayak et paddle disponible sur la rivière plus bas.

La route pour s’y rendre mais ça en vaut le coût. Profitez-en pour faire des provisions avant de s’y rendre et de relaxer!

Liebe Allison, lieber Francis, wir haben den warmherzigen Empfang und den Aufenthalt auf Eurer Farm sehr genossen. Die tolle Aussicht, die Ruhe unten am Fluss und hier oben im Rooiberg Cottage mit dem grandiosen Hot Tub auf der Terrasse haben uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Genauso wie Allisons Führung durch Eure Fabrik und die guten Ausflugstipps. Jedem, der etwas über richtig gute Oliven, Öl, Tapenade, Oliven-Seife und all die anderen guten Sachen, die hier gemacht werden, erfahren möchte, werden wir einen Besuch bei Euch empfehlen. Danke für Eure Gastfreundschaft! Obwohl die Unterkunft als Self Catering vermietet ist, hatte uns Allison Wasser, Eis und ein paar Farm-Eier in den Kühlschrank gelegt. Die Produkte der Farm (alles aus Oliven :-)) sind in einem kleinen Einkaufskorb verfügbar und können nach Verbrauch bezahlt werden. Ringsum (Robertson) gibt es neben den Weingütern viele weitere Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Samstags fährt ein Dampfzug mit Weinverkostung. Auf der Farm kann man Kanus mieten.

Great location. Perfect distance from the water. Love that it has two en suites. Perfect for our dogs as well. We managed to catch five fish. The house was well-stocked with everything we could need, even camping chairs and bug spray.

Just be aware of the flies since it’s near the water which is as expected.

Riverbend Farm is a beautiful, well-equipped house with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The location is good, offering lovely river views, and the house is perfectly situated in the middle of an olive farm, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. We loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Allison is a wonderful host, her communication was excellent and she welcomed us so warmly when we arrived.🙂💛 Unfortunately, we only stayed for a night and needed to leave fairly early in the morning as one of the people in our group needed to get back to sort out a problem at work.😕 We would love to have been able to stay longer. I definitely recommend booking in at Riverbend Farm for a quiet getaway. ✨️✨️✨️

The remote location, views and access to the river were amazing. Robertson and many vineyards really aren't far away either once you drive out of the farm.

I loved it all but do be prepared to drive on dirt roads to access the farm.

Amazing view of the mountains and river, the peaceful surroundings, the clear night sky, well kept lawn and river banks. The kitchen had everything we needed … even a dishwasher should we have stayed longer.

The isolation of the Pod, and the Mountain View. The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. The proximity to the River.

The roads, and lack of clear signage and arrows. We took a few bad turns, and had to backtrack.
