The Lawrance Luxury Aparthotel - Harrogate

This is a beautiful property done to a high end spec. The building looks and is amazing.

Pillows on the bed but this is personal preference. They are high end but not for me.

Lovely apartment 3 bed apartment; we were upgraded due to an issue with the studio we had booked and the apartment to the two of us. The rooms were airy with high ceilings, the bed was comfortable with good sheets and it was on a quiet up-market road just a short distance walk into town.

Considering that it was a self-catering apartment we felt that a few more niceties would have been in order. There was not much crockery or many utensils. The store cupboard which housed the washing machine had loud, instrusive humming noise coming from it - even with the doors closed. It did not disturb us unduly as we were able to take a room further away from it but the room opposite would have been uncomfortable.

The location was excellent for our stay in Harrogate. Easy walking distance to town. The apartment has been decorated to a modern and high standard. Staff commination was easy, polite and efficient. Everywhere was immaculate.

We found the equipment offered was minimalistic. We were staying for 3 days and so did cooking ourselves. The two small saucepans and frying pan were just about adequate. Extra glasses and crockery would have helped.

As in title, luxury but without being too precious. You could relax without fear of touching anything. Beautifully renovated substantial property. Layout worked so well for 2 couples.

Liked everything. Just a suggestion, a microwave would have been useful.

Excellent location within a short walking distance of Harrogate Town Centre. Well appointed and stylishly decorated. Good wifi. Clear and friendly communications including check in arrangements.

Being charged £10 per night in advance to park the car in a large, almost empty car park with no functioning security gate... when there is free on street car parking. Shower thermostat not working properly... loads of very hot water at the property, but not in the shower. Ill-fitting shower door enclosure. Bedroom lighting very limited. Inadequate for reading in bed. A pleasant stay for one night. Resolving a few points of detail and this would be an easy 10 out of 10 place for a longer trip.

The apartment was beautiful. The bed in the Master bedroom was very comfortable and we had the best night's sleep. Our 2 girls had no complaints about their bed either. It was a total home from home and we found everything we needed in the apartment.

The water was quite cold on a morning for the shower. This was the only thing we found the slightest issue with. We still showered so it wasn't unbearably cold. Maybe just our personal preference.

The apartment was stunning, very modern, well equipped in both the bedrooms, shower rooms and lounge/dining/kitchen. Beds were extremely comfortable and a great spacious size. The apartment's location to Harrogate town centre was perfect. Excellent price. We will definitely be booking again and for a longer stay. We loved all the little touches that made it very homely.

Was not informed before booking the the apartment was up a steep flight of stairs. Bed were so uncomfortable could feel every ridge and bump As we were in Flat D on the second night all you could hear were the other guest above us. Did not get to sleep till after 4.30 am. Very poor lighting all over the apartment. Bedside lamps are useless almost zero light due.to.the type of lampshade. If you want.to read in bed you do not have a hope od using the bedside lamps. I was so disappointed that I have already cancelled another stay I had booked for this property. Also I have never had to pay a deposit months before the stay when booking through booking.com. I sincerely hope I get the huge booking fee back for the booking I made in October.

Extractor fan in bathroom not working therefore steamed up for long periods. Light in living area not working. Blind on front door not closeable & kitchen visible to passers by when lights on. I did as prior to arrival if was a fan in property & said there was. I looked & couldn’t find one on arrival. I was told that had been put to back of cupboard but I did check said cupboard & did not locate it.

Perfect location to shops and restaurants. Very comfortable and a great size. Would recommend.

Would have been nice to have a pint of milk in the fridge as we had had a four hour journey so a milky hot drink would have been appreciated rather than having to have to go out as soon as we arrived.

We liked the location.

We didn't like the fact you charge for parking when there is free parking on the road - it felt a bit unnecessary. We didn't like the hairs in the bath or the broken toilet seat. We didn't like the fact that the mattress was so u comfortable (we could feel the springs) that we have to sleep on the quilt. We didn't like the grounds unkempt feel and the lack of attention to detail outside the room. It needed a good clean with a powerhouse tbh.

Every Thing Stunning Property

Not enough out door seating when next door flat is occupied.

Everything! From arrival and having ample space to park and entering to a beautifully decorated and well equipped apartment. Beds were comfy, showers were powerful, plenty of space and it was so clean. The outdoor terrace was perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks.

The location is fantastic we have stayed in apartment E before which we loved, unfortunately apartment B was not to the same standard, very dark, not a great feel about it, shower no place to put soap, shampoo ect, bedroom has roller blind which had to be down when in bedroom, it felt like a basement

Well appointed, clean and central

Absolutely spotless and spacious everything you could need was there very luxurious bath tub I loved the outside space also was so private and peaceful

The apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated with high end fixtures. Huge bed which was really comfortable, massive living room with wonderful comfy sofas, efficient washing machine. Fabulous location in smart residential street a short walk from the town centre.

£10 a night for off street parking seemed a bit steep although it did then feel secure.

The building was closed when we arrived. Nobody answered our phone calls or our messages. We never received any information how to gain entry until the day after and no explanation was given about why our money was taken but no accommodation provided.

Only thing that was annoying was the rest of the property was let out to a large party of people on a hen night. So it was rather noisy still at 11pm

The only thing I think they could consider is the communal space outside the two apartments It only accommodates 4 people when potentially you could have 8 staying in the two apartments I think there is enough space for additional chairs and tables especially with this good weather

Location was ideal for getting into Harrogate. The place was super clean. The parking although a little expensive was great. The extensive gardens are beautifully kept, we were lucky enough to have good weather and sat out on the terrace which was lovely.

Fantastic apartment which was clean and comfortable and in a perfect location for an event I was attending in Harrogate. Also close to the town centre. I left an item in my room and the staff went out or their way to get it back to me before I left the town which I really appreciated.

This is a gorgeous apartment in a beautiful building on a leafy street walkable to Harrogate town centre. We loved the decor, all finishes and furniture was done to a very high standard, spotlessly clean too.

We stayed at Duchy A for the weekends. It is a beautiful apartment and immaculately clean. The whole apartment is very well appointed. The location is very near to city centre and valley garden. Parking on site is also very useful. The communication and service from the Lawrence team is praise worthy. Highly recommended

Excellent location, the apartment was a comfortable home from home, very well equipped and maintained. A great base to explore Harrogate and the surrounding areas.

The Duchy A apartment is accesed down a flight of flagstone steps not suitable for those with mobility issues but was perfect for us as the quietness of the property was perfect.

The decor of the apartment was outstanding and we immediately felt comfortable in the spacious living area. The bedrooms, both large and en-suite were equally beautiful. Despite the fact that it was so peaceful and quiet, we were only a few minutes walk from the centre of Harrogate. All communication beforehand was dealt with quickly and smoothly and we even had a message to wish us a lovely stay once we had arrived at the apartment. Highly recommended- we will definitely return when we are back in the area.

We often stay at the Lawrance and try to book the same apartment which we love.. prior to our stay we received an email stating that there was maintenance happening in the apartment we booked and the Lawrance upgraded us to the most fabulous 3 bedroom deluxe at no extra cost. What a treat!! The upgrade was absolutely fantastic!!

Apartment D was very comfortable. Great facilities and furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The staff were helpful and friendly when I needed help.

The lighting in the smaller bedroom was not sufficient and seemed very low

The apartment felt like home. It was clean, tidy and welcoming. The rooms were well laid out and spacious. Everything we needed for our stay. Definitely stay again.

The apartment had lots of steps, not just on the entrance outside but then more on the inside as we were in the loft area. While I appreciate it states no lift the apartment we stayed in (E) had many steps to climb. My parents are elderly and while they can manage steps, there were so many. So my fault for not double checking.

The apartment was beautiful; well appointed, modern, and overall the fixtures and fittings were of a great standard. Huge comfy beds with good quality linen. It was also bright and airy with views over the garden at the back. Great location, 10 mins walk to the town.

The second bedroom was cold as there were no radiators and the quilt was really thin with no spare blankets or quilt and thin/poor quality pillows. I noticed in the morning as i was leaving that there was a plug in heater but it had not been obvious and spare blankets would have sorted the issue anyway. There was broken glass on the floor by the kitchen bin which i only mention as another review also mentioned broken glass so the cleaners need to be aware.
