It was booked online from Scotland and it's location suited my need for the weekend.

As with many hotel ads online, the true story is never clear. This property may be classed as a hotel for business reasons but it is a lodging house. A single contact on arrival to be given keys, that you leave in a box on departure. No reception area. Every available space is a room. Very narrow staircase. Roadside motels have a more welcoming feel.

To.small mattress.was comfy but the bed.frame was very uncomfortable if you want to.sit in bed.and watch TV. We also couldn't get TV to.work. mirror wasnt adequate as.to high for.anyone who isn't very tall the.other mirror.was a shaving mirror so unsuitable for a dressing table only 1.pack of 2 biscuits for 2 people .again not what I would expect for £20 ,more iv had some really lovely hotels.i wont visit this place again

The location was great

You aren’t greeted at the door you’ve to phone a number to get someone to let you in. There was a bloody tampon in the toilet (i’ve got photos but I won’t attach them as you can imagine it’s disgusting. stains all up the walls, the carpet was filthy I couldn’t go bare feet. The toilet roll was hard and brown and didn’t flush. The bed sheets were dirty and the bed was uncomfortable. Don’t normally leave bad feedback but if I can advise anyone to not book this I would strongly suggest DONT. It’s the worst hotel room i’ve ever stayed in. I’m all for cheap and cheerful but this was dirty and disgusting.

Booked this last minute for work and was great. Staff really friendly, bed really comfortable, room was nice and clean. Fridge in room which was a nice bonus and really close to convention centre. Overall really impressed

The 'Wardrobe'!!, Hospital have a compact wardrobe and drawer unit, which would take up about the same space. One question who are Simon and Beverley?

Clean. Pleasant staff. Close to centre. Easy to check in and out. NO NOISE poicy was a bonus. Meaning a good night's sleep. Always stayed in major hotels, but staying at the lodge was the same if not better.

The property was clean with excellent facilities. It was ideally situated to the centre of Harrogate and the staff were very helpful

The only very slight downside was that you could sometimes hear the plumbing if other guests were flushing the toilet or running water but it would in no way hinder me from staying again.

My friends were very happy and comfortable with their rooms , but mine was too small and cramped, and had no bedside lamp.

Excellent location opposite the Convention Centre. Very central. Clean with compact, modern toilet and shower facility. Coffee and tea (Yorkshire!). TV. Parking (at additional charge)

Good location, everything works - decent price compared to other options in Harrogate

The double bed was 2 singles pushed together, the blinds let all the light in and the heating was on in the room (weird for August). We stayed 3 nights and although it was a good base, had assumed someone would clean the room.

Central location. Just a few minutes walk from all the popular landmarks in Harrogate. Clean room, quiet, good WiFi.

Tiny shower cubicle. 2nd floor room and no elevator. I have a bad knee and back and should have checked in advance, so not really the proprietors fault.

A wonderful stay in a very central location. The room was tastefully designed and comfortable. Above all, the host was exceptional, extremely courteous, warm, and helpful throughout my stay. Her hospitality truly made the experience special and would definitely make me want to stay here again.

Just a few minutes walk into the centre of Harrogate. Cafes,bars,shops close by. Parking on site. Rooms were lovely and clean. Tea n coffee, toiletries,fans,fridge,iron plus ironing board, hair dryer all included.

I was in room 16 and the bed was too low for me. We were in the attic so lots of stairs to climb. Despite having 2 fans in the room it was too hot, but that was probably due to the extreme warm weather. Had to stand on the bed to open the window. Low beams, watch your head....

The shower was good albeit small and the location was central and easy.

The hostess was rude on arrival. Just gave us a key without showing us the room. Suggested it was the law ‘ in this country “ that the door shuts in a certain way, twice! Implying since I have a long name, I should know UK law! I am a UK lawyer!! Also , the bedroom was small and too hot with no AC and no fan! Parking was very tight!

Lovely period building and a very clean, tastefully decorated room which had everything I needed. Excellent value for money- I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in Harrogate.

Good location, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and good value for money.

Only one thing spoilt an otherwise great 2 night stay the size of the bathroom. Smallest bathroom ever less than 1m wide could not get past the wash basin without opening the door and had to walk backwards into the shower. I am not massively overweight just tall and of a stocky build so I struggled in the confined space. Might have been an issue if we had stayed longer than 2 nights. Shame because otherwise it was fine.

We stayed in room 3. As soon as I opened the bedroom door it was certainly a wow factor! A reclaimed wooden 4 poster he’d, beautiful reclaimed wooden furniture and a modern gorgeous bathroom. The staff we spoke to throughout our stay were polite and friendly.

The location was superb, just over the road from the convention centre. Check in and out was simple and quick. It was really useful to have a wardrobe with hangers and an iron if required. It was quiet for sleeping. The shower was a good size and the water pressure was good. The curtains were thick and blocked out the light. The window allowed a lot of natural light into the room

A hook in the bathroom for towels would be useful. The post of the bed gets in the way of the TV screen. The basin tap pressure was sometimes a little much so the water would splash out of the bowl. I got quite hot in the bed during the night with the quilt on and the quilted mattress cover. I can't sleep without a cover so having an option of a sheet in the room would have been good.

The room was very small, there was no bar, restaurant or lounge to relax in . Very clean

It seemed as the staff were very busy and didn't have any time to welcome you! The parking seemed to be a problem even though it cost £15 to park.

This place is excellent value for money, the bed was comfy, the shower worked well, there was tea and coffee in the room, everything you need.

This is highly critical but the bed could be a little more comfy - but that is because i prefer a firm mattress - if you like them a little softer then you will be absolutely fine. I still slept well overall though so this is a small point.

The Lodge was located directly opposite the Harrogate Convention Centre which made accessing the conference I'd travelled for a breeze! I also thought the facilities were amazing - a very comfy bed with super squishy pillows, optional extra drinks provisions in the lobby, and the shower was brilliant!

I wasn't able to open the windows - couldn't see how to release the catches for a bit of fresh air in the room - but that may be because I didn't try hard enough and I didn't bother going to find anyone to ask as it wasn't that big an issue. And whilst the shower was great, the ensuite was a little tight on space and a small hook or ring to hold the hand towel near the sink and a hook for the larger towel (perhaps on the door) could have been helpful.

Liked the position, the price, the lounge area downstairs and provision of tea making facilities . Shower excellent. (Biscuits provided in one room but not the other!)

The lighting very poor in bedroom on 3rd floor in Camberley. Didn’t like strange 4 poster bed. Toilet very cramped, no room for legs. Bumped knees on wall!

The location is perfect for Harrogate . Every part of the town seemed to be within 10 mins walking distance.

As always, the staff were very helpful and friendly, everything was as described and we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Weather wasn't too good but can't blame Simon and Kim for that😂 We love the character of the rooms at the Camberly/ Lodge, it always makes us smile.

We stayed at The Camberley next door a year or so ago and really enjoyed how close we was to the center of Harrogate so this time we decided to stay at The Lodge, this also did not disappoint. Comfortable bed, beautiful Disney theme room and clean and cosy. This hotel is also very quiet I would stay at ether hotel again when visiting :)

The Lodge is centrally located, close to the Convention Centre and all the amenities. The room was well laid out with everything you needed.

There were two flights of stairs to my room. Not a problem for me but they might be for some. So check.

5 mins from station and town centre. Very clean and a comfortable bed.

WiFi signal was weak.

I absolutely loved this room as soon as I saw it. It was spacious. Very comfortable and the TV worked! Kim was very nice and friendly. This was much cheaper than Scotia House and shouldn't have been. I will definitely stay here again. Wonderful!

No negatives at all. I wish I'd known how good it was as I could've spent my whole three nights here. At least now I know and I will be back. Oh yes!

Clean and tidy . Very quiet and the house is near the centre and very close to restaurants . The Radiator in the room is fantastic was it an original feature

The bathroom is too small . If l was larger l wouldn’t be able to to use the toilet. I couldn’t use the shower had to leave the door open to use . The firdge not cold enough .
