This motel is very, very dated. Like stepping into 1983 dated. The beds weren't comfortable (too soft) and the bathroom was dirty.

The bed was so hard we could not sleep during our three night stay. This really let the unit down as really this hardness is not necessary, middle of the road would suit more people than this bed. We would love to come again but not if all the beds are this hard.

Very poor customer service. Had a very bizarre « Faulty Towers »episode. Rang ahead to advise we had a calamity and could potentially be late, no lock box or availability to leave a key out, so we sorted our problem and managed to arrive at 8.00pm in pouring rain, to closed reception and no one answering phone calls or messages. Eventually someone arrived after 8.30pm and blamed us for ruining their night and arriving early. Just couldn’t win! ALSO the pillows are TERRIBLE! Take your own !

Little privacy without closing the curtains right across the front of the room then, unsurprisingly, it was dark inside. Unusual shutters in a window space between the bedroom and the bathroom also gave little privacy.

It was an excellent place to stay to do our washing and get packed up and ready for home. The room was large and furnishing were comfortable. The kitchenette had a cook top, microwave and fridge. The bathroom had a good shower. We had an upstairs room with a pleasant view. The Randolf is withing walking distance to the Merivale Mall, shops and restaurants.
Not much in the way of TV channels. But we managed!
