The Grassington House was such a treat! The location, the staff, the lovely room and the delicious breakfast all contributed to a memorable visit

The staff and owners were friendly and helpful. The dinner in the hotel was outstanding and featured local ingredients. Parking was ample and easy. The location on the main square in town was perfect.

A mix up upon arrival, which was solved.

A bit small

Comfy, clean and welcoming . Having the balcony off the back was a bonus for late cup of tea and morning coffee. Hostess was on hand and most kind to give us a fan. Breakfast was made to order and perfect for us. Later check out was appreciated. Location was perfect for a stopover to see "All Creatures Great and Small" film locations. Dinner at the Devorshire was excellent and worth it. Defiantly stay here a little longer than we did . It would be worth it.

Rm is tight for our larger suit cases since we are travelling for a month. Otherwise perfect

There was thankfully a balcony door that we felt safe enough to leave open all night as there was no aircon in the room. The downside of this was that the room was a bit noisy with the hum of an aircon unit or similar from downstairs. (It was very hot during our stay). Luckily I had earplugs !

The location is fantastic - right in the middle of a picture perfect village with parking. The hotel itself is lovely. The room we had was wonderful and really comfortable and clean. Best towels I had in a hotel and I have stayed in loads all over the world. The breakfast had an extensive menu and was very good. We booked the restaurant for our evening meal - the food was exceptional.

Really disappointed with our room - Room 8 It was a birthday present for my partner and we felt really let down and deflated with the room. The furniture is old and worn and does not give a true reflection compared to the rest of the hotel. The carpet needs changing, there are scratch marks on the door lock from the bulky key, paint work desperately needs a touch up. Overall the room just felt tired and in need of a ‘facelift’ Such a very small attention to detail could change that room dramatically!

Varied breakfast items. Very accommodating server with a polite and gracious manner. Gorgeous town with so many charming establishments! We totally loved the Yorkshire people and area!

She was a wonderful host. Her attention to detail was very evident and she engages with all her customers. The food is exceptional and with eat there both nights of our stay. Best food in Grassington!

Great central location, room superb with lots of little extras

We loved the location in the centre of Grassington. The bed and pillows, the blackout curtains and quietness at night meant we slept well. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and breakfast. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The carpark was full on arrival with people having lunch. We did eventually get a space.

This was our second stay . The hotel is excellent , the location couldn’t be better and the restaurant was too notch. The staff weee friendly , welcoming and helpful

Our room on this second stay was very small indeed and although we will definitely return , I would be careful about the room choice

A very good Sunday Dinner and breakfast.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Grassington, making it extremely convenient for catching buses, setting off on hikes, or simply taking a leisurely walk in the morning or evening.​ Although the room was small, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well designed. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and very practical. We booked dinner in advance, and it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Breakfast was excellent as well—the homemade granola with yoghurt was especially tasty.​ All of the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, everything was perfect.

The location is great and the parking seems ample. Room 8 was small but obviously done to a high standard plus it was also spotless. Nice buzz about the place.

We came at the tail end of the heatwave, so the room was really hot during the night as it was very high up with no breeze, there was a fan but I think it would benefit from a cooling fan.

No fan in the room and as we were upstairs the heat was horrible, we did not manage to sleep . We also heard others request fans and none available.

The location, friendly staff and our room situation all gelled to make our short break most enjoyable.

We found the 8.30am earliest breakfast time made an early start for our walk was difficult and also made onward bus travel complicated..we would have been happy with a non-cooked breakfast if the cooked alternative was a problem. This was only a small problem because service and breakfast itself was excellent.

The food was excellent and the team working there were very friendly and efficient - I liked this very much. The homemade options were very good also.

Th bed was very uncomfortable in the red room, this gave me a very bad back in 2 days of the stay until i switched sides which hurt it less. The bed was in very poor condition, I did not complain straight away as to not spoil our honeymoon experience with my Wife. The red room has clearly had water damage from above over the years this looked quite bad and brought the quality of the room down considerably as did the blocked sink that would not drain properly so I could not shave or rinse toothpaste down.

Beautiful property, in a picturesque village. We had a lovely room that was immaculate. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It also has a very nice outdoor area.

The venue was impressive. It was in the middle of the town surrounded by local shops and cafes.

Lovely period hotel in the heart of the gorgeous village of Grassington. The rooms are immaculate and to a very high standard. There is a great bar and the food in the restaurant is excellent! Top quality! A lovely touch that the owner took us to our room to welcome us too!

I liked everything about Grassington House and cannot wait to return. The staff were really lovely, the room was spotless & really cosy and the food was Michelin star quality without a doubt. We ate at the restaurant the night of our stay and would highly recommend it. Also, give the scrambled eggs a try on your breakfast, nicest I've ever eaten. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you arrive to the moment you leave. Overall our stay was more than perfect, we only wish we had been staying for longer than one night

From arriving we were given the warmest welcome by the owner Sue - We had arrived early but were given a tour of some of the other bedrooms before they became occupied and each one was furnished and decorated beautifully - the location is superb with free parking - the lunch and breakfast were excellent - there is something special about this hotel and we can't wait to visit again

Room way too warm. Forced to open window and balcony door. Bathroom too warm. Shower power pathetic. No shower door. Sink dangerous. Reception staff could be more welcoming.

Room and bathroom very well renovated. There was no elevator available and that was a little of a problem. They helped us with our suitcases when we got in the room, but leaving the room we did not call them to help and tried our selves. Breakfast very good. Rich and tasty. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed very much.

The location is lovely. A cute little village with a few nice little shops. people int he area were lovely and friendly. The hotel was clean and had a lovely sent thru it. My bed was really comfortable, I slept well, the towels were also lovely and soft.

I get the building is very old, so I can excuse the uneven floors and doors , but the room was not what I was expecting. It was on par with an inn collection which we love, but usually pay the same rate for the room and evening meal to what we paid for just the room. Breakfast wasn't the best however I did only have scrambled egg on toast , never tried the full English.

Lovely old characterful building in a good location

Disappointing and overpriced. We were given the Red Room which smelt of food in the evening and early morning from the kitchen, had basic furniture and a very small bathroom, albeit with a bath in the bedroom. Very loud persistent noise from plumbing in the next room whenever they used their taps through the evening and early morning. Complete refund as a result but it was disappointing that we had to ask for it in the morning after complaining about the noise the night before

Situated in the village centre. Superbly maintained, very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and dinner options. Mentioning the exceptional and standout staff member Molly who covered breakfast, so professional, polite and helpful.

The room was lovely but the double bed was up against a wall. Getting in and out was a bit of a challenge in the middle of the night.
