Owner was lovely and greeted us straight away... loved the smelled of turf .. lovely experience staying there
We had the best stay here. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly throughout our 3 night stay, particularly Dave and Voytec, and our room was very spacious with a well equipped dining table and condiments and a separate sofa. The shared kitchen has everything you need to make drinks and breakfast. You don’t need to take anything with you. We were welcome to wander round and help ourselves to the bounty of fruit and vegetables that are grown on this organic farm but it also had a public shed at the end of the driveway to purchase their produce. The farm was a great place to explore the surrounding areas and Dave was very helpful in directing us to places.
This is a shared house and long term home to people who live there. I was originally apprehensive about the shared bathroom but it worked well and we were never waiting to go in. We were made very welcome and I think they enjoyed having new people to talk to. So overall not a problem for my husband and I. If you’re looking for contemporary this place is not for you. It’s wonderfully traditional and homely. Everything I would expect from a trip to the Irish countryside and more!
It is in a beautiful location
Bathroom and toilets were not very clean
Friendly dogs greet you when you pull in. Desy is friendly in showing you round the guest house. Good room for the price and handy location for Kells. Would recommend
Very accessable for work and lovely size room
Dessie and Bridget were extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely from Dessie, Bridget was busy bee-keeping. Have stayed at the farm before. It's 'budget' style, but really clean and very friendly. Would highly recommend! Great price for very good quality. Beautiful surrounding countryside - lots of wildlife.
Nothing!
Lovely place and people. Very well run
Nothing
Hearty welcome by Dessie for an overnight stay, peaceful working farm. Lovely comfy bed, friendly chats with workers and other guests sharing the communal space, early sunny cuppa with the farm dog outside, fresh eggs, bread etc supplied for breakfast, home from home. May not be for everyone but definitely for me!.

I had a wonderful stay, so peaceful and relaxing. Bridget and Des were so friendly and helpful. I really loved my time here and will definitely be back for another visit.
Everything. Simple is best.
Can't think of anything.
Nice serenity

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Hidden Gem I recently stayed at this beautiful farmhouse and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. From the moment I arrived, the welcome I received felt like coming home — warm, genuine, and so comforting. The setting is simple but perfect. Fresh organic greens and eggs, homemade brown bread, and a real sense of care in everything. It’s not about luxury here — it’s about authenticity, and that’s what makes it so special. The farmhouse itself has a lovely old charm. There’s a turf fire that guests help tend to, which creates such a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. It naturally brings people together to sit, chat, and unwind. The animals were an added joy — dogs, cats, goats, and of course hens — all adding to that peaceful, back-to-basics feeling. It really felt like stepping back in time, in the best possible way. If you’re looking for somewhere to switch off, breathe, and just be, this is the place. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and very grateful for the experience.
All was just perfect for me..
Cows and Steer need a barn Unless you like waking up very early.
Cold in the place
Otthonos és kényelmes.
Beautiful country house in middle of country side .To recharge batterys in country side .Bridget owner lovely welcoming host and goats in garden delightful to watch so friendly. And dogs so lovely. As couple we really enjoyed our stay and would be back again. Thank you 😊
Nothing not to like h
Gościnność właścicieli, położenie z dala od miasta w irlandzkiej wsi 🙂
I was very disappointed. The property was not suitable for single females. I felt uncomfortable, vulnerable, on edge and was left stressed by my experience. The property was unclean, unsafe (main doors left unlocked through the night) The property should not be listed as a B&B as it is only suitable for WWOOFERS and then only if they know what to expect. I felt soo uncomfortable that I could not say in the accommodation, and had to be housed in the main building which was also unclean and unsuitable. I did not sleep and when leaving Bridget was very aggressive towards me, asking me why I stayed in her home. When I explained that one of the WWOOFERS was an alcoholic and and that one of the other lodgers woke one night recently to this other lodger trying to gain access to their room - she just laughed in my face. I had a bottle of wine which I offered to share, the alcoholic took a pint glass and drank in one go - Bridget actually said - what do you expect with drinking wine - unbelievable. I would like a full refund and my cost for a B&B that I had to use at the last minute as I could not stay a further night at such unsuitable accommodation. The full refund and the cost of other accommodation at the cost of £127 I will never forget the trauma that this place has caused me. I would like a full refund and investigations into this unsafe place
As above
Hosts were absolutely lovely. The property is old but charming for that. And clean throughout, For the price. it was great

Lovely farm stay with lovely people, dogs, goats, cows, and chickens. Would stay again!
Super friendly host!!

Bridget is a wonderful host, she made sure we were properly settled and provided us with everything we needed and asked for. Besides providing some organic produce for the visitors, Bridget brought delicious home-made bread. Much appreciated! Thank you for your hospitality!
Wonderful host.Bridgit made sure we settled in well. Beautiful blazing stove and every essential amenitie Other guests were equally impressed and relaxed. Room.was spotless and bed was so comfortable. Bridget supplied homemade organic bread and organic eggs as extras. Highly recommend.
The warm and welcoming staff the laid backness is a great plus would highly recommend
Very nice hosts, very easy-going place, with hosts in another house on site, and good instructions for any problems! Tea, coffee, bread, fruit, fresh organic eggs all provided. Excellent location for my work. Great heating with the big fire!
A bit noisy with all the hard surfaces.
Room was very clean
Posto immerso nella natura per vivere proprio una tipica fattoria Irlandese .
Un po’ più pulizia nel bagno
Cisza, spokój... Jeśli będzie okazja zjawić się w okolicy na pewno rozważę jeszcze raz to miejsce.
Brigid and Dessie and their daughters were an absolute delight! So helpful and kind. Sweethearts! The farm is beautifully located and I wish I hadn’t missed the herbal medicine workshop day! I’m sure it would’ve been great as Brigid is very knowledgeable. We were in the en suite property recently renovated. I understand a family member is going to be living in this property. Self catering was and everything you need in clean and modern kitchen. There is also another property which may be less modernised. Brigid and Dessie said we were welcome to organic produce from their polytunnels. The farm is very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend! Kate.
Loved all of it.
Sehr freundlich, schöne Zimmer, schöner Allgemeinbereich!
Da fällt mir nichts ein!
Very basic
Shower took ages for hot water to come through. Admittedly the owner did say this would happen Other residents brought food back and ate in the dining room next to my bedroom, talking loudly for an hour I had to tell them to be quiet as it was 11.30 n I was trying to get to sleep Breakfast not provided, the guest had to make his own from provisions supplied
Quite and nice place for relaxing 😎
Peaceful and quiet farm and location. Kind hosts. The shared kitchen is very appreciated and well stocked with all essentials including free breakfast items (which I didn't use but is a generous touch). Loved being able to enjoy the garden and picnic table in gorgeous weather. Fully renovated building so very clean.
The single bed mattress is not super comfortable (I could feel the springs / wiring structure under my body and I'm not heavy). An inexpensive mattress topper could fix this. An extra pillow for comfortable reading would be appreciated, as well as a few more hangers. An extra frying pan would be great as there was only one to share for 4 bedrooms. Very poor sound proofing unfortunately so the experience can vary tremendously depending on the other guests. Last, it was a bit sad for a permaculture farm to only provide conventional cleaning products and toiletries. I understand that providing eco-products would require to slightly increase the price of the accommodation, which would be okay as would remain affordable and great value for money.
Bed very comfortable Hosts were very friendly Fresh fruit provides every day Thanks guys
I had a lovely stay. very welcoming host. lovely kitchen area with supplies laid on for breakfast. Very close to kells where I was traveling to for an event. Lovely peaceful and quiet location in the countryside. excellent value for money.
Basically it was self- catering. The facilities are brand new, only open 3 weeks ago, very high standard of build, and very clean.
The Location is not sign posted so could be hard to find without Google Maps.
Staff was extremely kind and helpful
Brilliant stay will be coming back.

Great, hard working couple. Generous and thoughtful. Nice location within easy reach of Kells. Transport no problem. Lots of friendly animals on the farm, great produce and knowledge of herbs. Good phone signal. Well water to drink. Quiet and comfortable with turf fires and lots of country atmosphere. A great spot.
Bridgit was lovely and helpful.Tenants were friendly and great for a chat .
This is an attractive area where gently rolling hills (with tree and hedge-lined roads) meet an expanse of ancient bog land. I particularly liked the quiet (because I live in a small village) and the low level of light pollution at night. Although I didn't use the cooking facilities, the kitchen for guests to use seemed to have everything for those who did. Basics for breakfast (milk, cereal, bread and butter, fruit) were provided. Although the weather was cold (below freezing on some nights), the lounge was ultra-cosy with a log-burner fuelled with local peat (a radiator in the bedroom came on as well). The bathroom had a modern shower installed giving excellent hot water and had an effective heater unit for those cold mornings. The location offers a great base for touring (nearby are Kells, Trim Castle, the Hill of Tara, the hilltop neolithic tombs of Loughcrew and Louth historic village, as well as the Boyne Drive locations).
It is not a criticism but this accommodation is not feasible without your own transport to reach it. It has bicycles for use by guests but unfortunately my programme did not allow me to take advantage of this option.
Bridget is a lovely woman and she went above and beyond to make our welcome and stay perfect - there was a beautiful roaring fire in the woodstove in the common kitchen - I would go again any time
The clear directions received in advance made it easy and simple to get to the property. Bridget and Des were very kind. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. The kitchen had everything you'd need for self-catering and I had what were possibly the best eggs ever for breakfast.
The room was a tad cold on arrival but warmed up with a bit of time.
It was remote
The room was cold. Although it was very big. Should really put an ensuite into it, and a Tv
Everybody was lovely, we had a great and relaxing time. They were so helpful. We had eggs and bread for breakfast, it was amazing!
It's 40 euros. Wasn't expecting much. It was dry and warm.
It's a poorly maintained property and it's substandard in every department. Stained toilet and bath. No effort to make place pleasant and it's not pleasant. Bit like miss Havershams house from Great Expectations. Don't have any great expectation when you stay here.
This was the perfect place to spend a night while doing the Boyne Valley Drive over the weekend. It was excellent value for money. Bridget was lovely, even had fresh bread for us on arrival.
Facilities are basic, but that was to be expected for the price. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and there was a hot shower and facilities to cook food. What more could you want? Great value.
The owners kindly accommodated a late check in for me.
Sugar and coffee would have been nice as I don't drink tea.
Bedroom was excellent, large and spacious, bigger than expected. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen facilities are excellent, always very clean and constantly monitored by staff. Comfortable living room/relax area for the guests and usually a stove fire burning there. Hosts Bridget and Dessie are always available and are very helpful. Guest accommodation is separate from the host family house. Friendly goats, dogs and cat, on this organic farm, which can be explored freely.
I have a car but if you don't, it may be too remote.
Bridget the host is very helpful.
Ambiance food quiet
All good
We were greeted right away by lovely, helpful, and forgiving people. Made a booking mistake about our party number and instead of bringing frustration, they accommodated our third person by a room with an extra bed and immediately went into the cold night to collect fresh tomatoes, onions, eggs, and milk for our meals. It was an old, comfortable house with character and rural charm. They showed us around the peat fueled stove, the stocked kitchen, and the clean bathroom with an abundance of towels and the most lovely hot shower. Our room had plenty of blankets to keep us warm in the cold autumn, and there was a table with dishes, coffee, tea, and a kettle. The conversation with our hosts was refreshing, heartwarming, and welcoming which we needed dearly. The kitchen worked great and the common space felt like home, with cereal, bread, butter, and fruit we could help ourselves to. We were so sad to leave the next day without proper time to explore the property including a polytunnel, farm birds, and sweet kitties and dogs. Great 1hr proximity to Dublin airport and a nice countryside experience, especially for the price.
The smoke when changing the fire peat slowly could be an intense lingering smell for some, but for people used to the old school stoves we didn’t mind at all! It’s definitely old and quaint so don’t go expecting the ritz.
The location and farm were excellent I would go back in a flash
The tranquility
answering this question
It was exactly what I expected and everyone I met there was considerate and friendly.
Nothing.
Great place to stay. Old fashioned country house. Super comfy beds. In the country side - so really quiet. Full use of kitchen. Shared bathroom facilities. We were driving - not sure that you could get here on public transport !
Excellent welcome from Bridget and Des. Pleasant atmosphere. It was great to stay in the countryside in this lovely farm.
Very easy to find, only a 15 minute journey from Meath. Staff were ever friendly always saying hello. The room was bigger than expected lots of space. Staff constantly cleaning the guest house interior and exterior. Very much recommended. :)
