Convenient for ferry port

We had the family suite. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The space was comfortable. There was a door between the living space with the sofabed and the bedroom. There was even a view of the water through the bedroom window. The host's communication was clear and proactive. It is close to both the railway station and ferry terminal.

We had to find street parking in nearby streets, but that had been communicated beforehand.

Location was great with a view of Oban's ferry harbor, and the Hutchinson Monument. Being on a one way street made it easier for an American to double park on its side to load luggage. Proximity to downtown Oban. Shower knobs easy to control. Plenty of outlets.

Admittedly even the owner knew it was a difficulty, the town failed to properly seal manholes in the road causing a loud metallic popping noise every time a car drove over day and night. Could have known in advance the air purifier was that, and not a space heater. It was hard to get any air circulation in the room without it when the window was closed so the street noise would not bother at night. It could have had a night light in the bathroom, so the whole room didn't have to wake up when someone went into the bathroom at night. Could have had at least access to the refrigerator, but since it did not have that, we had to toss food that needed refrigeration. Most inns at that price range at least have a refrigerator. Lastly the 2nd floor was really the third floor. If booking, verify how many flights you have to go with luggage.

Location was great, great view over the port. Place was clean and comfortable.

I wasn’t told it was 2nd floor. Strong smell of chemical cleaning products in stair well. No tea or coffee provided - I suspect an oversight as there was hot chocolate and bottled water.

The location was very good.

Walls were thin, we could hear everything our neighbors were doing, and light coming around the door lit up the room at night.

Room not very well sound proofed, creaky floor boards, toilets flushing, hearing other guests talking. Manhole cover constantly banging as cars went over it, this is no fault of the killorn but was very annoying

Location was fabulous, rooms were spotless and comfortable and very reasonable priced for Oban area

Nothing except it would help if the directions were more detailed.i.e. The road leading to the property is very long. If you specified that the property was situated 70 metres passed the Library on the left that would help

A little noisy due to the ferry port

Wir waren eine Nacht auf der Durchreise nach Mull im Killorn Guest House. Das erbetene Zimmer wurde für uns vorbereitet. Die Angaben zum (kontaktlosen) Bezug waren vollständig und er war probelmlos vollziehbar. Die Lage ist hervorragend, da nur 5 min vom Ferry-Terminal entfernt. Der Fussweg in die Innenstadt mit Hafen, Restaurants etc. beträgt auch nur 5 min. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter (Chris) abseits der Übernachtung war sehr unkompliziert und genauso in der Abwicklung hervorragend. Wir hatten im Killorn- Guesthouse einen wichtigen Gegenstand vergessen und der wurde uns sofort selbstverständlich gegen Kostenerstattung nachgesendet. Das Bad war neu und in einem einwandfreien sanberen Zustand. Das Beste auf der Reise!

Great location, comfortable bed.

The roof was quite low, my partner hit his head on it as the room we were in had a slope which was quite low. Not sure how this can be rectified though.

Nice modern room, small but was fine for one night. Coffee/tea facilities were great. Nice bathroom towels. Very convenient to the ferry terminal. Locations down to waterfront was easy walking distance. Parking was easy to find and you literally turn right and walk across the road. Didn’t cost a fortune either.

For light sleepers you can hear the people above you and next door. Breakfast as an option would have been great.

I loved how central the Guest House was from the city center. A quick 5 minutes walk. The place was super clean and the host was extremely nice.

Room was clean and tidy.

Room was very small, no wardrobe and not alot of floor space. No curtains on the window, only a blind which did not keep the light out. Location is too close to ferry terminal and you can hear the generators all night, so you cant open window for fresh air. Also there is a loose manhole cover right outside which evry car hits so not great for a good nights sleep. Think its a bit over priced as no breakfast included so would not stay here again.

Location was perfect to catch the early ferry to Tiree also within easy walking distance from the main town and restaurants. Spotlessly clean with lovely soft bedding and an amazing view of the bay.

My husband and I stayed here for one night during a trip to Scotland for his 50th birthday. The staff that helped me reserve Killorn were very responsive, communicative about how to arrive at the guest house and find off-site parking (not included in booking fee), and they were so kind to leave a bottle of Prosecco for the special occasion. Thank you so much for a short but sweet, attentive, and lovely experience!

She lied and hasn't refunded us for our two nights.

Estetyka, czystość, funkcjonalność oraz ogromną przytulność miejsca. Wszystko co potrzebowaliśmy a nawet więcej: miękkie ręczniki, suszarka, ciasteczka, kosmetyki. A najbardziej wyjątkowy jest widok z okna na port i morze i ten parapet :)

Sąsiedzi oglądajacy TV bardzoo głośno po 22.30 - albo to ściany tak cienkie :)

It was on the Loch. Rooms very large.

The place needs updating through out. The grounds were unkept and could be so much more. Somewhat drab and worn.

Really lovely wee guest house, loved the decor. Check in was simple, great location as well by both train and ferry. Really enjoyed our view in bed of the harbor. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if needing accommodation in Oban :)

Sehr gepflegte Unterkunft. Fußläufig zu vielen Restaurants und ganz in der Nähe des Fährhafens.

Das Haus ist insgesamt sehr hellhörig. Uns hat es nicht gestört, aber man sollte es wissen.

Ideal location 5 minutes walk from Oban ferry terminal. Killorn House is very comfortable with a very high standard of furnishings and is always very well maintained. Excellent view over Oban Harbour and out to the islands and mountains beyond. This was very interesting in the evening when we arrived and the following morning when we saw ships leaving and arriving in the harbour. We had a lovely breakfast snack in the Cafe at the Ferry Terminal. Our onward travel to Glasgow was also very convenient with bus and train stations nearby.

We were in a room that had the slanted ceilings by the windows. I bumped my head several times. And you had to park down the street.

Thin walls and creaky floors above. Overall was OK once everyone in the house went to sleep.

Lovely modern comfortable room with en suite. Perfectly located for the island ferries, close to long stay parking and a short walk to town. We had a small issue during our stay (couldn’t find the TV remote )and got an almost instant response even though it was 10pm. Turned out it was stuck behind a bit of furniture so our bad but super impressed by the responsiveness of the owner.

Very nice modern decor - everything was crisp and clean and new, lovely bedding, lovely bathroom and a great living area with sofa bed. The shower was particularly good - very powerful and the perfect temperature - I could have stayed in it all day!
