The Place Guesthouse Parys

This Guest House had the Best Breakfast I have ever eaten while travelling. The chef gives large portions and variety that is absolutely cooked to perfection. We had Breakfast at a table overlooking the Vaal Dam and it gave a feeling of peace and tranquility, as if in a holiday resort. The Hosts are extremely friendly and kind and made us feel at home.

Perfect 10. But, nothing is ever perfect but The Place Guesthouse comes very close. Daniel and Martin were exceptional hosts, wearing their heart on their sleeves, warm and authentic. Facilities and property beautiful, the art and decor breathtaking. And how can I forget the breakfast , yummy , scrumptious and homely

Loved everything

It's hard to put in words. The Place might be called a guesthouse but this doesn't describe the way you are recieved. This isn't your usual experience! I'd call it staying with friends you never knew you had. Daniel and Martin not only try to make you feel comfortable, they make the experience incredible! Daniel will see to it that your breakfast is taylored to your needs and satisfying. Martin will see to it that you get all the informations you need to explore Parys and the surrounding atractions. Besides the owners care the Place shines with original artwork and every comfort you might want to experience during a romantic getaway or a prolonged stay.

Martin and Daniel were awesome hosts. They have a beautiful spot overlooking the Vaal River.

Fantastic hosts who worked hard to make sure we had all that we wanted for our stay. Breakfast was very impressive. Enjoyed the ambience of the area and noise was kept to a minimum.

There were no notable problems or issues. A small room safe would have been nice for a stay longer than ours but that is just a personal preference.

The personal service was exceptional with a birthday cake even provided for my wife. Martin and Daniel were extremely friendly and made sure that our every need was met. We also had long discussions on many subjects that was great. Felt like we were staying with friends. Bed was one of the comfiest i have every slept in. Breakfasts were also great. Home cooked.

The location is absolutely stunning. Right across the Vaal river in a quiet old neighbourhood.

The Breakfast was amazing!! First delicous flapjacks with chesse and a variety of jams and heny, and then a really stacked omelette with pork bangers, potato rosti and ciabata toast! The room was superb and very tastefully decorated. Excelent linnen and pillows made for a great sleep!

The only thing I didn't like was leaving!

Breakfast was next level - delicious and huge portions! Daniel served us with care and had us full for most of the day. So tasty - really exceeded the standard brekkie.

Potholes in the area - you need to drive carefully. The property also borders the Vaal River, and there are some loiterers there that made us cut our walk short.

Everything was ready and very clean and neat. The hosts were finominal. The breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Only thing that would need attention is the shower head or water pressure. Everything else was great

The ambiance and owners are just 5🌟all the way. The moment the gate opens Daniel and Martin are there to greet you. It doesn’t feel like a guest house, it feels like home.

Great location close to the river. In fact one is able to eat while enjoying the beautiful view of the river. The place is within walking distance to other areas of tourists interest. The hosts Daniel and Martin are very friendly hosts. They are welcoming, caring, and loving people. They go an extra mile to cater to the visitors' needs. By the time we left, they were like our long lost friends with whom we have rekindled.

The Place Guesthouse was a wonderful, surprising gem we found in Parys! The well maintained French country styled house that is filled with beautiful artwork offered excellent accommodation with a spectacular view of the river. We fell in love with the owners' genuine and generous hospitality, which immediately made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The pool and jacuzzi are added benefits, and the breakfast was outstanding! We highly recommend you book 'The Place' as your next safe and worry free accommodation when visiting the charming town of Parys.

The place is clean and breakfast was amazing.

Our stay was wonderful. Daniel and Martin were exceptional hosts. The decor of this establishment is out of this world. They offered recommendations for restaurants and that was very helpful. We went to Parys to relax and we had a splendid time there. We recommend The Place Boutique Guesthouse to everybody. And last but not least, Daniel is a wonderful cook. We enjoyed the breakfasts a lot.

Fantastic guesthouse with very friendly owners (Martin and Daniel). The room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts every morning were fabulous and very generous! Shops and restaurants are nearby (5min walk). They can organise lunch packs if needed and they are amazing and copious! All in all 12 out of 10! Thank you for your great hospitality!

Daniel and Martin are the friendliest hosts you could hope for. Their guesthouse is packed with their own art, cool books, and quirky ornaments — you could explore for hours. Add a stunning Vaal River view and the best breakfast we’ve had in ages, and you’ve got a winner. We travel a lot, and this is honestly one of the most welcoming spots ever. Highly recommended!

Daniel und Martin haben uns mit einer Herzlichkeit empfangen, die einfach gut tut. Das gesamte Haus ist mit viel Geschmack, Liebe zum Detail und wunderbarer Kunst eingerichtet – ein Ort, der Charme und Persönlichkeit ausstrahlt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt, obschon nur eine Nacht, in vollen Zügen genossen und können dieses besondere Guesthouse uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

The location is fantastic, right by the river with stunning views and just steps away from the historic 1919 Parys Bridge. We especially enjoyed the upper room, where you can have breakfast or dinner while overlooking the river. Speaking of breakfast, wow! Daniel is an exceptional chef. Not only is the food delicious, but the presentation is also outstanding. Martin and Daniel are truly amazing hosts. Their warm hospitality makes your stay incredibly comfortable; they go above and beyond to ensure you feel completely at home. Whatever extras you may need, they’re always ready to assist. A true home away from home!
