L'hôtel est génial, les chambres sont confortables, le rooftop a probablement la meilleure vue de toute ́a ville, la cuisine est très bonne notamment les breakfast et le propriétaire est adorable. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Amazing view, great sense of privacy and intimacy with the waterfront. The family who runs the guest house really treated me with such hospitality, teaching me al about the history of udaipur and India. It was a lovely experience

The room was comfortable (for Indian standards), the location is far from the main road, do away from the bikes noise. The best part is the rooftop view and the food they offer.

The owner is building a new room on the ground floor, so during the day there's a lot of noise and it's impossible to rest. I had to ask them to stop working around 5 pm so I could take a nap.

При заселении в номер постельное белье было с пятнами и требовало замены, а подушки внутри наволочки были просто черные, как будто им 100 лет или ими мыли полы. Я показал подушки хозяину и спросил, нормально ли это, на что он ответил, что это ненормально. Непонятно только как он допустил, что гостям предложили такие ужасные подушки. Потом нам заменили подушки и постельное белье, но остались очень неприятные эмоции. Полотенца серые от старости и неправильной стирки. Еда на крыше дорогая и не очень вкусная.

Os pontos positivos desta hospedagem foram: a localização (muito próxima ao City Palace por exemplo. É possível ir caminhando); a vista que há do quarto e do terraço, onde há um café/restaurante; e a cordialidade do proprietário, Sir Muna (me recebeu às 22h30 no check in). Além disso, a cama do quarto era bastante grande.

O custo benefício desta acomodação foi muito ruim. Como pontos negativos, destaco: a falta de limpeza de alguns itens do dormitório (havia muita poeira e até teia de aranha nas cadeiras da sacada); a localização do dormitório em que fiquei, quarto 105 (era necessário subir diversos lances de escadas íngremes); a falta de box no chuveiro do banheiro; o tamanho bem pequeno e a falta de estantes para colocar nossos objetos pessoais no banheiro. Além disso, o dormitório não possuía frigobar/refrigerador como dizia o anúncio. O proprietário disse que eu poderia utilizar o refrigerador do restaurante, localizado um andar acima do quarto, o que era bastante inconveniente. Aconselho fortemente a retirar este item do anúncio do dormitório. Isso é frustrante. Havia também uma obra no prédio vizinho ao quarto 105, com barulho no domingo o dia inteiro. Por fim, o dormitório 105 é absurdamente barulhento devido ao bar/restaurante que há bem acima dele. Eu reclamei com o proprietário durante duas noites em que me hospedei. O barulho do bar era desrespeitoso, até de madrugada. Ainda por cima, os frequentadores do bar são obrigados a passar em frente à porta do quarto, o que torna o incômodo ainda maior. NÃO recomendo ficar no quarto 105. Por todos os motivos acima, não me hospedaria novamente nesta Guesthouse, mesmo com a cordialidade do proprietário em todas as comunicações trocadas.

Brilliant location overlooking the lake and close to the City Palace. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and comfortable and we loved having a balcony to watch the sunset from.

Allt! Utsikten från rummet och från takterrassen var vidunderlig, rummet var fint, bekvämt och rent med en stor privat balkong med fantastisk utsikt. Munna och Roshi var fantastiska värdar som gjorde allt för att man skulle känna sig som hemma. Detta är ett av de allra trevligaste ställen jag bott på i Indien.

Peacock hotel is een fantastische keuze als je prachtig uitzicht wilt hebben over het meer van Udaipur voor een hele goede prijs. De kamers zijn prima en fijn om te zijn. Ook heb je een ruim balkon dat uitkijkt over het meer. De locatie kan niet beter, in de oude stad ben je overal dichtbij, veel op loopafstand. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk!

The view was exceptional, staff were very accommodating and friendly. Location is perfect, very central, easy to get everywhere on foot.

The rooms did not feel very clean, but after mentioning it to the staff they immediately responded.

Die Eigentümer Familie war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank an den Eigentümer, der sogar um 1 Uhr nachts für uns die Lieferung des Schneiders entgegen genommen hat und uns für die Abreise ein pünktliches Tuk-Tuk organisiert hat. Unser Zimmer war im oberen Stockwerk mit einer traumhaften Aussicht (allerdings waren 68 Stufen zu erklimmen). Die Unterkunft ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Palast entfernt.

Die oberen Zimmer mit toller Aussicht sind nur für fitte Menschen geeignet, da viele enge Stiegen zu bewältigen sind. Taxis können nicht in diesen Teil der Altstadt fahren. Man muss also in ein Tuk-Tuk wechseln. Wirklich schrecklich war der penetrante Kanalgeruch aus dem Badezimmer, der uns phasenweise wach gehalten hat.

The room and the bed were comfortable. The view was great from the balcony. Could be a chill stay for couples and groups of friends.

The washroom was very small and congested. The see-through doors could be a privacy issue for some. The food at the hotel did not match the expectations, it was below average. No lift, you have to climb up the narrow stairs to your rooms which are mostly on the 3rd and 4th floor.

Wunderbar gelegenes Guest House inklusive Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse. Es liegt ideal in der Altstadt dadurch kann es ist in der Nacht schon einmal laut sein (Musik von anderen guest Houses).

This family run homestay is brilluant, the father and son team, plus their colleagues were absolutely amazing, and went out of their way to name sure we had everything we needed. The balcony area and views from the roof top cafe were out of this world!

A hotel run by an incredibly friendly family. The best view of any udaipur rooftop, and I visited quite a few. No other place beat this hotels roof top. Amazing location 5 minutes away from city palace, bangore ki haveli and can walk to anywhere you need to visit in the old city and across the bridge. Clean room. Good value for money

We liked the closeness to the city palace and the views on Pichola Lake from the balcony.

We didn't like the noise at night from the restaurant upstairs and many surrounding bars and party places. Our rooms were much too high : 70 steps to climb to get there! Difficult, though the staff helped us with our luggage. Bad smell coming from the bathroom too. The doors with padlocks, not very convenient.

What a great location with a top view over the lake. Roshi met us on arrival and he was an excellent host. Thankfully, his boys were there to carry our bags to our rooms. We were up about 4 flights. We were 1 floor from rooftop and despite the cold, we enjoyed our evenings playing cards, a few drinks , and admiring the scenery. The rooms were comfortable, smallish but not an issue. We wanted 1 room with twin beds which they organised in a flash. No problem. In fact any request they were so helpful. The location was good with lake nearby and plenty of interesting shops. Depending on your mode of transport you may need a Tuktuk to get close to the hotel but not an issue. Roshi mentioned that they should have a lift installed later in the year.

Maybe the bathroom needed a bit of improvement but they were clean and just fine for use

L’emplacement est parfait. On peut aller à pied partout. Le personnel, particulièrement le propriétaire, est très à l’écoute et fait tout pour aider. La terrasse est sympathique avec une vue splendide sur l’eau

Les chambres ne sont pas bien équipées. Nous en avons vues trois et il manquait toujours quelque chose: des cintres, une chaise, le placard était fermé à clé… La salle de bain a besoin de rénovation.

門外有點吵，浴室會滲水，要爬樓梯很久而且樓梯宅帶大行李來會奔潰，轎車進不來旅館

La posizione è impagabile. Avevamo prenotato una camera vista lago e siamo stati felici di averlo fatto. Anche dal letto è possibile ammirare il lago! La camera era pulita ed il letto molto comodo. Essendoci temperature esterne piuttosto basse abbiamo chiesto di poter avere una stufetta elettrica e siamo stati accontentati. Il personale è molto disponibile, in particolare il proprietario ed il giovane Vikash che conoscono bene l'inglese e ci hanno aiutato in tutte le richieste. Anche la colazione, non inclusa nel costo della camera, è buona e servita sul rooftop vista lago. L'acqua della doccia è calda.

Il primo giorno non sapevamo che per attivare l'acqua calda occorreste premere un interruttore specifico. Dopo che si è presentato il problema, ce lo hanno spiegato e la doccia è stata molto soddisfacente.

It was a great location and the views were lovely from the rooms and from the terrace upstairs.

Unfortunately it was wedding season when we visited so it was quite loud at night but that wasn’t the fault of the guesthouse. It would probably have been quiet further away from town but we loved being so close to everything. The hosts were lovely and helpful.

Some ongoing building is causing a bit of chaos. The breakfast area on the rooftop opened 45 minutes later than advised; luckily, I wasn't in a hurry.

A perfect guesthouse, run by a very kind family. From an unexpected early check-in to the second we left, we loved everything about The Peacock Guesthouse. The view from our room (4th floor) was spectacular, with a big, private, balcony, and nothing was too much trouble for either the owners or their staff. The location is incredible, next to the City Palace, with fantastic views over Lake Pichola, the Taj Lake Palace and Jagmandir, and within walking distance of so many interesting places. The food in the in-house restaurant was so good that we chose to eat there every evening, watching the beautiful sunsets over the lake. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but they are definitely worth the climb and a lift is planned for the future too. Plus we got to know a number of people living and working locally too. Udaipur is a very friendly city! Thank you to everyone at The Peacock, you all made our stay perfect.

The location was perfect. Everything was 2 minutes walk away. The room was very aesthetic. The host was very polite. The staff was very helpful. There was no unnecessary noise of traffic. Will surely book again with them

The owner of the property is welcoming and made us feel at home. The property is neat and tidy. Rooms are hygienic with a beautiful view of the pake pichola. You get a shared balcony. There's also a rooftop to get a large view of the lake with a restaurant. Owners and staff also asked us in person for feedback and scope of improvement. 10/10 for hospitality Note : All the buildings in the city are quite old so the steps might be narrow. I'd also like to add a point where the gates were locked after 12 AM. We reached the property post 1230 and the owner was attentive to the phone call and kind enough to open the main gates of the building.

I liked everything, it was just perfect! Perfect location, amazing view, very kind staff ...and delicious food! The owners always had time for my questions and helped me to organize my transfers and sightseeing outside the city. Very nice people! I can only highly recommend this structure! If I come back to Udaipur I will stay here for sure! : )

The location, view of the lake, and the balconies were good. Food is good and is prepared after ordering. The view of the lake is pretty in the night..

Though the location is great the approach is a bit congested. We had to get out of the cab and take an auto. The hotel itself is tight and has narrow steps and no elevator. It's not convenient for elderly people. Bathrooms are small though they serve the purpose.

notre chambre au 5e étage ce qui n'est absolument pas commode , l'info n'apparait jamais sur la présentation,concernant le restaurant pas de petit dejeuner prévu mais simplement à la carte et et n'est pas bon march2 avec des horaires fantaisiste et improbable; 3.5 % majoration car paiement CB ce qui n'était pas indiqué non plus. L'équipe est très sympa. Les photos présentées ne refletent pas la réalité.

Rohit e i suoi adorabili genitori gestiscono un hotel che sembra fluttuare sulle sponde del lago Pichola. La mia camera, splendida, comoda - arredata con molto gusto, cosi' come il bagno - aveva un balconcino privato con vista sulla citta', sulle isole e i loro palazzi. Il ristorante sul terrazzo dell'ultimo piano ha un menu molto ricco e tutto e' cucinato fresco e con cura. Al mattino, se vi alzate presto, c'e' una piccola comunita' di pappagallini colorati che viene a mangiarvi le molliche sul tavolino mentre il sole accende le facciate delle case intorno, del tempio e del Palazzo Reale. Si sta davvero bene in questo piccolo albergo, e se qualcosa extra dovesse servirvi potete stare tranquilli che si faranno in 4 per voi.

Holes in the sheets , grey old towels, messy noisy building works, water cut, very poor electric wiring secured with sellotape.

We booked this place for the view and it didn’t disappoint, the balcony was brilliant and the view at sunset was better than any of the ‘sunset spots’ we went to around Udaipur. Location was fantastic right in the old town, though that meant it was quite noisy at night! Roshi was a great host, really friendly and helpful.

The room itself was quite small, and the bathroom was a wet room which wasn’t ideal. A basic housekeeping service would have been good as we could have done with new towels/amenities/bins emptying during the stay. The balcony needs a clean as there was a lot of bird poo

Terrazza con vista lago incredibile per passare serate e momenti di relax, come il rooftop in cui poter anche assaporare la loro ottima cucina e un buon Chai! I booked a King Room with Lake View for three nights. The room was simple but comfortable and clean. Nice Balcony , and the bed was very comfortable. It was exactly like the photos online. The owner and all staff were very friendly and polite, and took great care of us. The rooftop restaurant had a stunning view and great place for a drink with beautiful sunset, and the food was delicious. The location is also great, within walking distance of all attractions. 我訂了3晚King Room with Lake View，房間簡約，但很舒服及乾淨。露台很大，床舖很舒適。跟網絡上所展示的照片一模一樣。老闆跟員工們都很親切及有禮，很照顧我們。頂樓的餐廳，風景超美又很舒服，食物還很好吃呢。位置也很好，所有景點都可以步行到達。

A hotel right in the heart of Udaipur. We took the option with a terrace and view on lake and it was totally worth it. The view was absolutely breathtaking. On the top of that Nice host, ready to help with anything. Food in the restaurant on the rooftop tasty. Rooms simply but sufficiently equipped, airconditioning working well. Clean room and bed, bottles of water prepared for you.

The bathroom was not very spacy and a bit old, but ok. We can recommend the hotel!
