Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos en Casa Coral, la verdad nos gusta mucho la ubicación, el lugar es muy familiar, los anfitriones son excelentes, muy amables, todo estaba listo cuando llegamos, siempre muy limpio y muy cómodo, además es muy seguro, muy tranquilo, se duerme muy a gusto, y nos gusta mucho usar de la cocina compartida, así como el estacionamiento fuera de las instalaciones. Amo sus plantas y sus tortugas! 🥰 es sin duda nuestro lugar favorito para pernoctar en Bacalar!

Todo nos gustó, sin embargo en la habitación que nos tocó (en la 1) no había hamaqueros como en la habitación que nos tocó la vez pasada (en el 4), nos hubiera encantado, pero no hay problema por ello, aún así todo fue excelente! 10/10

La maison est un peu éloigné a pied du centre-ville… mais elle reste très accessible en voiture ou taxi (quelques minutes seulement).

Los anfitriones son buenas personas y muy amables. Muy serviciales. Había buen wifi. Las mesitas con sillas fuera de la recámara y la hamaca fueron muy acogedoras. El espacio se ve aseado y limpio. Se ofrecieron a llevarme a la terminal de autobuses como cortesía al terminar mi estancia. Hay refrigerador en la cocina para guardar alimentos. Ellos viven al lado, y el patio se comparte con ellos, entonces, es una experiencia inmersiva muy linda especialmente para extranjeros si quieren vivir una experiencia más auténtica y conocer un poco de la cultura local. Además te hace sentir seguro en el lugar. Hay aire acondicionado, aunque no se necesitó usar por la época.

En la habitación había luz blanca, lo que es un poco incómodo para la vista, y como mi habitación no tenía mucha luz natural porque la ventana era pequeña y la cortina era oscura y no se abría bien, había necesidad de prender esa luz blanca cada que entraba al cuarto, aunque fuera de día. La ubicación es algo lejos del centro, hay que tomar taxi para ir. Entonces hay que calcular el taxi de ida y de regreso cada vez. Las calles de alrededor son oscuras por las noches. En la cuadra siguiente hay unos perros que ladran a la gente, y supe que en alguna ocasión mordieron a alguien.

We received a very warm welcome, and check-in was flexible. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean, as is the entire property. Our room was spacious, and the shower had warm water. Drinking water is provided in the kitchen, and the WiFi is very fast. The neighborhood was the quietest we experienced during our trip through Mexico. All family members are incredibly kind and welcoming — we felt at home from the very first minute. During our stay, we were even offered juice, fresh vegetables, and lemons. Needless to say, we ended up staying much longer than originally planned.

Excelente alojamiento. La cocina compartida es muy completa. El personal muy dispuesto y la habitación excelente.

Los dueños son muy amables y serviciales. La habitación cuenta con los necesario, además se tiene una cocina compartida

La pression dans la douche très faible et pas d’eau chaude. De plus le matelas est très dur

Merci beaucoup à Casa Coral. Tout était parfait. La famille qui vous accueille est au petit soin du début jusqu’à la fin. L’établissement est peut être un peu éloigné du centre mais cela se fait très bien à pied ou en taxi (pas cher). La chambre fut très calme, spacieuse avec une belle salle de bain muni de ses serviettes. Encore MERCI à Casa Coral !

Nous avons aimé le fait que ce soit tenu par une famille mexicaine qui travaille fort pour maintenir l’endroit propre. Bien que la chambre soit très sobre, c’était très propre et le lit confortable.

Petit soucis d’eau chaude dans notre chambre, par contre aucun problème chez nos amis.

Cest plus que Casa Coral mais Casa Corazon car les propriétaires nous les portes de chez eux et sont au petit soin. Si vous recherchez un séjour chez l'habitant en couple ou en famille surtout allez-y. Une rencontre inoubliable. Merci à Carlos et sa famille

This was an excellent stay! The room was clean, it had AC, every room had its own wifi, secure parking, and a kitchenette location so we could keep cold drinks. Our hosts were incredible...we had an issue with our rental car and Carlos helped with communication to a mechanic and even drove us into town while we waited. I could not recommend Casa Coral more while visiting Bacalar.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Coral! The owners are absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. There’s a great kitchen and the room had everything we needed. We can really recommend staying here! The only thing to note is the distance to the lagoon, but taxis are widely available or you can rent bicycles.

Loved our stay here. The compex is beautiful and well kept. Everything seems new and clean. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home! It's out of town but a short walk to the ADO bus terminal and also an area on the lagoon where you can swim and do a great boat trip.

Just a few more pans/lids in the kitchen and a bigger surface to prepare food would be good.

Friendly owner. He offered us limes and salt to complete our tequila ritual. Clean and cozy.

Everything is very efficient, very nice owners. You can book a trip on the Bacalar lagoon, which lasted 5 hours. I highly recommend it.

Super friendly owners who helped with everything! They even drove us to the bus terminal. The house is at the edge of town, but with bicycles available everything is within reach.

It was the cleanest place on earth! Bathroom smelled like flowers when I entered! Extremely nice and smiling people who will make you feel welcomed and at home. Also very save for solo female traveller, good lock in the door and even in window. I slept there like a baby, dark, quiet and comfy bed. I loved the decor of this place. I would go back gladly! They had very good Internet too! And coffe maker in the room absolutely awesome, to start making coffee first thing in the morning without having to go in the community kitchen

That I only stayed one night :( Also I came with car so for me it was no problem go to the coast of the lagoon, but honestly I would still go there even if I was on foot because it is so much better to stay with nice Mexican family in clean, beautiful environment than at those loud, dirty places by the "beach"

The owners are so sweet, Antonia brought me fruit and gave me a lift. The room is clean and has everything you need!

An incredibly charming family welcomed us, and we immediately took them to heart... and I believe they did the same with us. Even though we speak only a few words of Spanish and they don't speak English, we got along well. Whenever we needed help or had questions, they were immediately ready and incredibly hospitable. Here, you live together and get to see what the "local life" is like. There's a communal kitchen for guests, a rooftop terrace for relaxing, and even a water refill station. The rooms are simple and functional. Another plus is that in the morning, you can hear a wonderful concert of birds upon waking up; the jungle is right next door. Simply marvelous, we felt very comfortable here and would come back anytime.

The hotel (actully more like the host's home with cortile and many rooms) is located at the edge of Bacalar town in the suburb area. Such loacation might not be preferred by everyone.

The water pressure in the shower is not great. The location is a bit far from the center and you'll need a car to go back and forth, crossing the busy main street/freeway going though the city each time.

It’s a beautiful property and Carlos and his family are lovely, and very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, good A/C and good wifi. The shared kitchen is well stocked and drinking water is provided.

The water pressure in the shower is very low and it takes a very long time for hot water to emerge.

A simple but pleasant and relaxing place run by a welcoming and friendly family. We stayed in the large upstairs room with its own terrace area. Excelkent WiFi, and air-con.The communal kitchen was well-equipped and functional. Overall, a laid back, low key place which we enjoyed. All the usual Bacalar activities are within walking distance (or by the ever-present taxis).

People were very friendly and helpful. Got my laundry done. Room was large and bed comfortable . Good air con and wifi. Area was a little outside town but I enjoyed the walk. Taxi to centro only 50 pesos

Its a bit from the center in a quiet residential area. No issue if you have a car (around 5 min).

The hotel was excellent. The facilities were great (kitchen and courtyard were lovely). The staff were really firendly ans helpful. I would have liked to have given a higher rating but see below..

The hotel is slightly out of the way, which isn't normally a problem for us as we like walking. The major issue is the stray dogs in the vicinity of the hotel. The dogs were aggressive and everytime we left the hotel they would try to attack us. Unless driving or using taxis be cautious..

Very nice people run the place. Rodolfo was always there for us and very friendly. Kitchen was nice, hot water in the shower and even a coffeemaschine. We felt very welcomed and it was always nice to get back from the city center:)

The room is quite basic but more than you can expect for this very low rate. The room has enough space and the beds are comfortable. Good airco and Wifi.

Low water pressure in the shower and no hot water. The location is 15-30 minutes walking from the waterfront and restaurants.

We had such an amazing stay at Casa Coral. The staff(family) were so friendly and hospitable. My two young boys loved it there and didn’t want to leave. The communal kitchen is clean and has everything you need to make your own food. We loved it there so much we booked another night later in our trip.

We had initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 2 extra nights because it was so nice. The vibe was lovely, the hosts were every kind and helpful. It was clean and had both a new looking ceiling fan and A/C that worked perfectly. The bathroom was small but very clean. The shower had hot water. There was also a kitchen that looked well equipped but we didn't use it. The location was good, only a 15 min walk from the ADO bus station and 30 mins to the town. You can also rent bicycles so it's faster! I would definitely recommend staying here 🙂

We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the owners. They welcomed us with a huge smile and gave us a lot of special attention throughout our stay that made our time there feel really special. From gifting us food to giving us a ride at 2am to the bus station, and giving us hammocks to rest in after check out, they were so generous to us. The place is also really cute and cosy, always very clean and comfortable. Love Casa Coral !

Its a little far from the lagoon but nice to be in a more local environment and the owner will gladly give you a ride, even at 2 in the morning to help you catch your bus !

We liked our stay here. The owners are amazing, so caring and ready to help with anything. They even gave us a ride to the city centre and the bus station a few times. the garden/common space is nice

The family who run this place are amazing. Really friendly and helpful with anything we needed. They gave us a lift to Centro twice, and to catch our bus when we left. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet location for a good sleep. Very safe. Communal kitchen. Solid WiFi. Hot shower with great pressure. AC. Would definitely recommend.

The location is a 20 minute walk to the Lake/Centro. But they have bikes to rent at the property and a taxi is only 30/40 pesos depending on the driver. The plus side is it's nice and quiet as its away from the busy streets.

It is in a lovely local area 2 km from the center. The place is super calm and beautiful and with the nicest host who was attentive to our every need. The distance was no problem as taxi cost 30 pesos no matter the distance. And the calmness of the place located right next to a small ‘jungle’ was perfect when coming back from a day in the stressful turist center.

Did a short stay in Bacalar and Casa Coral was just perfect. The hotel is in a quite location and everything is very accessible from there. The room was comfortable. Big thanks to Rudolfo for all the suggestions and for calling the most price-competitive taxis for us !
