Équipe très souriante et très pro, très bon petit déjeuner, possibilité de louer un scooter sur place, de réserver le taxi et en plus le ferry vous dépose au pied de l’hôtel…que demander de plus!!je recommande fortement

I booked a traditional batak style house. The room was huge and cosy. I slept very well the first night. The ferry from Parapat stopped just right in front off the Guesthouse.

Breakfast should be included with the room. It would be appreciated if there were a mirror also in the room. Be careful of karaoke nights at the accommodation next door at the weekend. It's very loud from 7 am to midnight. But this is not the guesthouse's fault...

El acceso al lago es increible, alquilamos una tabla de paddle surf y lo disfrutamos mucho.

Me devolvieron la ropa de la lavandería un poco sucia. Si tienes cariño a alguna prenda recomiendo lavarla a mano. El transporte de coche compartido que ofrecen para ir a Medan es terrible. Nos pusieron a 6 personas en un coche que no ofrecía suficiente espacio para viajar comodo durante tanto rato.

The male receptionist is really helpful, always smiling and putting in extra effort. Great value for money, very good location, clean rooms.

The female receptionist is not very helpful, tends to say no without explanation, sometimes unsure if she speaks sufficiently English for the job. The kitchen can be below expectations, when they ran out of vegetables the vegetable omelet is made without vegetables, would be nice to be informed instead of noticing when getting the food. This example was not a one off.

Romlan was great. They have a nice bakery with bagels and cookies on site, had plenty of options to eat. Nice staff, nice rooms, really beautiful spot too. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and we were even picked up from the hotel's dock. We also liked sitting in the cabana watching the moonrise. The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

El bungalow és just davant del llac. És gran, net i espaiós i amb un balcó amb vistes precioses al llac. El personal és molt amable i resolutiu. El millor, sens dubte, el menjar. Iogurt i pa casolà, i plats amb aliments de bona qualitat.

Établissement très chouette avec un staff sympa. La nourriture est variée et de bonne qualité. Top.

Le bruit des jet skis

Romlan Guesthouse is a lovely little place, overlooking Lake Toba, with its own public boat landing stage. Here you can hire scooters, book excursions or arrange tickets for private transport. Excellent restaurant – I’d say it has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended

One of the staff members was absolutely lovely and even greeted me while walking around the town. Location is awesome next to the water and getting off the boat into the hotel is great. Kayaks were a nice touch too.

We had breakfast once and decided not to go back. There were bugs in both the drink and food. On telling staff, they seemed unsurprised and still charged us. The room was full of bugs too, of various different sizes. If you can’t deal with that, don’t stay here.

Emplacement idéal, reposant et calme. Vous pouvez organiser toutes vos activités au lac Toba avec grande facilité grâce à l’équipe adorable de Romlan Gustehouse : location de scooter, carving class, canoë, taxi, etc. Le restaurant est très bon (un peu cher mais ça reste raisonnable).

Friendly staff. Great food with many options, a lot of western food available for a good price, which is a nice change after traveling and eating rice everyday. The property has an excellent location and its easy to swim in the lake right from the property. Overall very relaxing stay.

Wir sind uns hier vorgekommen wie im Paradies. Nein, die Zimmer und die Anlage sind nicht perfekt, aber durch die wunderbare Stimmung im Romlan fühlt man sich ab der ersten Sekunde wie Zuhause. Die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich, das Restaurant sehr lecker und das Personal kann alles für einen erledigen. Ausserdem war das Internet schnell und Dusche heiss.

Um die Anlage zu verlassen muss man hinter der Küche durchlaufen wo der ganze Müll gelagert wird. Da dieser nicht täglich entsorgt wird, kann es dort ganz schön unangenehm riechen. Da es in unserem Zimmer öffnungen ohne Glas und nur mit Moskitoschutz gab, roch unser Zimmer oft nach Rauch und Essen.

El lloc és preciós i tranquil. Les habitacions i els espais comuns són nets i ben cuidats. El menjar és deliciós amb productes de qualitat. Fan el seu propi pa i el seu propi iogurt. El bungalow és gran i còmode, amb unes vistes espectaculars al llac. Ens ho vam estar cinc nits molt a gust.

Hele fijn tijd gehad! Het personeel is super vriendelijk en de kamer was netjes en ruim. Super mooi uitzicht over het meer. Ook het eten is super lekker! Dikke aanrader!

We were in a room closest to the restaurant so it was a bit noisy sometimes but it usually got quiet by 11 so it was okay.

1. 員工好像很忙每次問他們東西都好像打擾了他們，態度有一些冷漠。 2. 入口有點難找，但按照Google map 還是找得到 3. 隔音有一點點不好，聽得到樓下的聲音，但木造房子都這樣，我個人覺得還好

The food was fantastic, I met many new people. A family run business is very professional. On the waters edge, I could swim in the morning. Organised my guides . I felt very relaxed. Wasn't very expensive I loved it.

The all-night party the nearby neighbours had on Saturday.

Chambre et lit confortable. Nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur, le ventilateur n'était pas indispensable. Contrairement aux avis précédents, nous n'avons pas été réveillé par les chiens. La vue depuis le balcon était superbe. Mention spéciale pour la nourriture au restaurant avec beaucoup de choix et c'était toujours savoureux.

Nous avons connu un accueil plus chaleureux ailleurs en Indonésie. Service aimable mais sans fioritures. Le bruit des jetskis dès 7h30 jusqu'à la tombée du jour.

Great location, great room and at a reasonable price. Staff were helpful and even assisted woth some cloths I left behind. Food was delicious and they cater to different dietary needs. I would highly recommend.

Super mooi uitzicht op het meer. Vanuit onze kamer hadden wij ook super mooi uitzicht. Wakker worden en daar rustig opstarten is echt een genot. Verder is alles goed geregeld via het hotel. Het was schoon en netjes. De service is top. Iets wat ik persoonlijk fijn vind is dat de bedden zacht zijn en het een knus verblijf is dus niet een groot hotel.

Cudowne położenie nad samym jeziorem z pięknym widokiem. Czyste, wygodne pokoje. Miła atmosfera, dobra restauracja. Prom zatrzymuje się przy samym pensjonacie, nie trzeba szukać dodatkowego transportu.

Brak plaży i bardzo głośne skutery wodne i motorówki jeżdżące już od 7 rano, co zakłócało sen.

Wir haben im Batak Haus übernachtet. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Essen war super gut. Wir haben uns sehr über die vegetarischen und westlichen Gerichte auf der Karte gefreut. Wir können das Hotel sehr weiterempfehlen. Es ist auch möglich hier direkt Roller zu mieten. Eine Insel-Umrundung ist eine tolle Tagesaktivität.

Am Morgen hört man die Katzen, Vögel, Hunde und einige Frühstückende. Aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Zudem wurde im Voraus kommuniziert, dass unser Zimmer etwas lauter sein könnte. Falls wir mit dem nicht zufrieden gewesen wären, wäre uns eine Alternative angeboten worden.

The staff are so friendly! And because of this the place has a charming, relaxed vibe where fellow travellers feel comfortable to sit and chat with each other or not. It speaks volumes that most people are there for breakfast and dinner rather than go out to other places most days - the food is good and they will make you a takeaway for when you leave and face a day of long travel rather than having to eat something decidedly sub-par at a roadside restaurant. Get a massage!!! Their masseuses (I didn’t try the masseur so I can’t speak for him) are excellent. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The view is stunning, the proximity to other places (restaurants, views) is pretty central for both directions. Romlan, unlike other places in the island keeps the property spotless. There is no litter. They provide free water refills so that you don’t have to buy single use plastic. Please bring a refillable water bottle with you.

This is NOT a criticism of Romlan, it’s about Samosir. The litter is terrible. It’s a small island with a huge tourist trade. Do better. To walk to the other places in the village or island, you have to walk past Sumber Pulomas and the shared path is disgusting. They throw and sweep the litter, including used nappies, onto the shared path. The place on the other side of Romlan has a big dumping ground for their litter and rotting food and it smells with the stench seeping into my room in the mornings. Romlan, I hope that you might be able to use this review to help change your neighbours’ behaviour. The one thing to be aware of is that the walls are so thin they might as well be curtains. Romlan has the ought of this and provides free earplugs in a jar at reception. Again, NOT a criticism, just be aware: the guest house is basics. It has all you need and more but it isn’t fancy. Also, I forgot to mention when I left that the mattress in room 12 needs turning as it’s sagging a little on the one side.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, weil das Personal so nett war und man im Restaurant sehr gut sitzen und auch Karten spielen konnte! Die Lage ist zudem sehr gut und wir haben die kostenlosen Kajaks und SUPs gerne genutzt. Die Sicht auf den See ist wunderschön.

Das Badezimmer war etwas simpel im Vergleich zum Rest, hat aber nicht weiter gestört. Ab 7 Uhr morgens donnern die Jetskis direkt vor der Unterkunft über den See. Im Restaurant ist das Essen sehr lecker, aber der Service kommt nicht ganz hinterher

Shower is like dripping water, there is one day no hot water. The staff are slightly less friendly compared to all other stay. They sort of show displease when asked few times due to language barrier.

Le ferry nous dépose devant l'hôtel et ça vraiment... Incroyable ! Le personnel est adorable, arrangeant, répond rapidement à nos questions et demandes. La chambre avec vue sur le sac était confortable, avec une vue imprenable. Eau chaude, lit douillet. Crêpe au Nutella très bonne

Onze kamer zat naast de receptie/restaurant, en was vrij gehorig. 's nachts was het wel gewoon stil, maar als de eerste gaan ontbijten hoor je dat vaak.

Super, nous recommandons cet établissement. On a passé 3 nuits ici et c’était génial, on se sentait très bien. Les chambres sont propres et salle de bain aussi, il y a de l’eau chaude, le lit est confortable. La vue est également très sympa. La nourriture est bonne et le rapport qualité prix est ok. Le personnel est également sympathique, merci.

Super vriendelijk, lekker restaurant, lekkere plekjes om te ontspannen en kamer met balkon was erg goed! Met uitzicht op het meer en een lekker briesje was het erg fijn. Zeker aan te raden!

Zou fijn zijn als er ook een ‘westerse’ toilet is bij het restaurant.

Surrounding of the Romlan is pretty nice. Rooms with the view on the lake and restaurant has own terrace with beautiful view. Kitchen prepares great meals and stuff is very friendly. You can rent scooter, kayak, paddleboard. There is nothing what we did not like about the place.

Room was very spacious, facing the lake, alongside a balcony to soak in the gorgeous views. There’s only a fan which is enough since there’s a nice chilly breeze. Everything was clean, there was fast running (hot) water for showers. Downstairs you can order food, refill your water bottle for free and buy snacks. Not to mention they have kayaks for the guests to use for free, which is an amazing way to start your morning at Danau Toba! The hospitality of the staff was also amazing, I do recommend as it was good value

The entrance is a bit hard to find, and since its right by the water you can hear everyone that’s on the jetskis etc but I didn’t think this was annoying

J'ai réservé le logement avec vue lac et salle de bain partagée, c'était incroyable! Une terrasse vue lac, avec en prime un hamac! La maison traditionnelle rajoute énormément de charme aussi. On entend un peu le restaurant le soir mais ça ne m'a pas dérangé. Vous pouvez aussi manger au restaurant si vous voulez, le petit déjeuner est très bon.

Le matelas n'est pas très confortable, il y aurait besoin d'un surmalelas

Good location, great atmosphere. Comfortable, excellent value for money. I liked the terrace and the fact that you could rent a scooter and have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the restaurant. Drinking water and laundry service are also available. Tuktuk/Lake Toba exceeded my expectations and I recommend everyone to extend their original plans with extra days. Romlan is a classic place to enjoy this area and I would come back anytime.

Unfortunately, power outages are a regular occurrence. One evening there was no power for 6-8 hours (in the entire town), only aggregators provided minimal power (in bigest resorts), but not in all areas / rooms. The restaurant has a good selection, its prices are not too different from those of restaurants in the area, some of the food is delicious, but there were some things I didn't like... Some of the rooms/bathrooms are not very modern, but everything is usable.

Our stay here was amazing! It’s my new favorite place to be. The location with the great view over Lake Toba is incredible. Our room was big and clean as well as the bathroom. The restaurant is outstanding, they have so much to offer and everything tastes amazing! You can also rent a scooter or a kayak. We had a scooter for two days and booked the transport here back to Medan and everything went smoothly. You definitely get the most of your money.

De kamer in het houten Batak-huis aan Lake Toba was bijzonder! Toilet en warme douche was gedeeld! En naast de kamer! Voldoende stopcontacten en.. staande bed lamp! Keuken is goed en gevarieerd; westers georiënteerd. Keuze aan bier en wijn etc. is goed. Broodjes worden gebakken en kunnen besteld worden.

De muggen maar die konden door staande ventilator weggehouden worden. Opgang naar Romlan was rommelig met soorten afval en emmers en dozen en zo wat meer.

Sehr schöne Lage am Lake Toba. Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr leckeres Frühstück. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett sehr gemütlich.

Nachts war eine Katze vor meiner Zimmertür und hat sehr laut miaut.

Love the ambience and the lake view from our room. Had a nice walk around the area. The breakfast here is non halal so we had breakfast at another place nearby (Samosir Villa, the third picture). Overall this is the best stay with the best price. Would love to comeback here, will miss all the pretty flowers near our rooms

We verbleven in de kamer boven met prachtig uitzicht op het meer. Ruime, mooie kamer en leuk ingericht. Uitgebreide kaart in het restaurant met lekker eten. Er is alleen een fan in de kamer maar het is heerlijk koel.

Our room was large with a large ensuite wet room and a spacious covered terrace with chairs and a drying rack which looked straight out onto the lake. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and helpful and the restaurant food was very tasty. We hired a scooter from the hotel, had laundry done there (it came back ironed!) and used the hotel's kayaks for free. There were other people in the resort but despite this it was very calm, quiet and peaceful. The hotel was in a great location in the middle of Tuk-Tuk and because it fronted onto the lake the ferry could drop us and pick us up from right there. As with all other lakeside hotels in Tuk-Tuk, there wasn't a beach, but there was a roped off designated swimming area for hotel guests with ladders from a sunbathing platform into the lake. There were also some very friendly hotel dogs and cats to pet. On top of all the above, we paid an extremely reasonable price. This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations!

Everything was fantastic!

Beautiful property on the lake with chairs for sunbathing and umbrellas. The water pressure works very well and the water gets piping hot (be careful lol) we stayed in a room which had a terrace and lake view and ate at the restaurant the whole time we were there. They also arranged a motorbike for rent for us, able to do our laundry, and arranged our shared car transport to the airport. We also loved that they took card! Overall this was great value for what you pay and the WiFi also works very well

It was simply amazing. The staff is super friendly and their English is perfect. The food is good and the room even better! The view and quality of the accommodation was beyond what we've experienced in Asia so far, especially for this price. Thanks for having us!

Meilleur logement depuis 5 mois de voyage. Le rapport qualité prix est parfait. Tout est très propre. Il y a des kayak à disposition gratuitement ainsi que de la eau potable. Le restaurant est très chaleureux et avec des prix raisonnables. La nourriture est excellente ! Nous reviendrons plus vite que prévu 😉

シャワーから温水が出なかったが、インドネシアでは普通みたい。１週間インドネシアを旅している間、ホテルのシャワーから温水が出ることはほとんどなかった。

This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is incredibly welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. Everything is clean and well organized, and the property offers all the services you might need, including help with transportation, scooter rental, kayaks, sun loungers, and more. The food is delicious, and the traditional-style cottages add a special charm to the place. Many of them overlook the lake, where there is also a nice area for swimming and relaxing by the water.

We had a family room right on the water, amazing view of the lake, almost no mosquitoes!!!! We were able to hire a scooter from Romlan and got around most of the island. Food was great.

Beautiful property, peaceful and serene. The staff was very sweet and the restaurant delicious! They make their own bread, yogurts and ice-cream on sight and have a nice selection of meals. Everything is fresh and affordable. We loved that our room looked out onto the lake and the free kayaks to spend time on the water was such a nice bonus. Absolutely recommend!

This is a perfect, out-of-the-way spot for those looking for a clean, quiet place to stay. The service is top-notch. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Absolutely recommendable!
