Winston Sea Front Villa

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans ce petit lieu paisible sur la place au bord de mer. Notre hôte était charmant et souriant. Nous y avons dîné, c'était fait maison pas très copieux mais fait maison. C'est un endroit très sympa pour se reposer après avoir atterri ou avant de rentrer. A 13min à pieds de la gare.

Leider war es unser letzter Tag in Sri Lanka ! Die Unterkunft ist wie so eine Kleine Oase in Negombo. Die betreibende Familie ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

De locatie van het hotel was mooi, meteen aan het strand! Het was ook dichtbij de vismarkt.

Lekker direct aan het strand. Fijne airconditioning in kamer. Pick up vanaf het vliegveld was makkelijk en snel geregeld. Eten was prima, het is ook een sea food restaurant. Zijn ook andere dingen op menu.

Soms niet altijd iemand aanwezig voor directe vragen of een drankje, maar vrij gemakkelijk en snel te bereiken via whatsapp en dus ook geen probleem.

La playa… muy sucia y llena de basura. Pasear por la playa no era una opción, está rodeado de casas deterioradas y no le da un buen aspecto a la zona.

Struttura fronte mare e a un prezzo basso

Ingresso attraverso un vecchio vicolo buio, stretto e maleodorante. Noi siamo arrivati la domenica pomeriggio e non c’era nessuno alla reception. Sempre di domenica il ristorante è chiuso e il primo ristorante aperto era a 20 minuti a piedi da lì.

The staff are incredibly friendly. The place is small and very simple, but well-kept. The owner keeps the beach clean all the time and is always on hand to help with guests’ requests. We arrived at 3 am and he sorted out a problem with the air conditioning even at that hour. You sleep just a metre from the ocean, what more could you want? :)

Wir waren eine Nacht als Familie dort. Die Lage ist perfekt, um am frühen Morgen den Fischmarkt zu besuchen und für einen wunderbaren Einstieg in den Urlaub unter Palmen am Meer Das Abendessen und Frühstück war sehr gut. Der Gastgeber sehr nett mit guten Tipps für die weitere Reise.

It is beachfront, we really enjoyed being that close to the ocean. Shops very near, you could also walk to the famous Negombo fish market. We enjoyed the many outdoor sitting possibilities/relaxing areas- you can choose between hanging mats in the sun or tables in the shade. I loved the details in the decoration. Le repas du restaurant, les pieds dans l’eau était délicieux ! Nous avons pu arriver et repartir quand nous le voulions, hôte très arrangeant!

L’hôtel fait aussi restaurant, il y a de la musique le soir, si vous êtes jet lagé ça peut vous empêcher de dormir !

Ubytování je poblíž letiště Negombo, s přístupem na pláž.

Okolí nepůsobí bezpečně, je zde hodně divokých psů a je to zjevně chudší čtvrť. K ubytování nevede silnice, je potřeba projít cca 50m dlouhou úzkou uličkou. Pokoj má tenké průhledné dveře, nepůsobí bezpečně. V ubytování je místnost s postelemi, dále pak kuchyň a chodba s dvěma koupelnami a toaletami. V rodinném apartmá není výhled na moře, do zahrady ani na město. Zatímco místnost s postelemi je čistá, tak kuchyň byla hodně zanedbaná a v chodbě u koupelen není udělaná podlaha - jen nasypané kamení a nezaskleným otvorem ve střeše. Koupelny mají stěny z popraskaného betonu a nepůsobí nijak hygienicky, běhaly v nich velcí brouci. Klimatizace je pouze za poplatek (2000 LKR za noc), hostitelem nabízené taxi bylo 5x dražší než jiné nabídky. Přilehlá pláž není moc udržovaná, bylo zde hodně odpadků i psů. Celkově nejhorší ubytování z 5 využitých na Srí Lance. UPDATE: V reakci na vyjádření hostitele přidány fotky, jelikož fotky u rodinného apartmá neodpovídají realitě.

Dobre miejsce na nocleg po przylocie. Pokoje i bar przy plaży. Dobre piwko. Obsługa bardzo miła. Przyjazny właściciel. Spoko cena.

Sie liegt nahme am Flughafen, ist direkt am Strand und es ist ruhiger hier.

Es war extrem heiss. Es hatte nur einen Deckenventilator und dies reichte nicht. Wir haben kein Auge zugemacht.

Nette Personal, alles sauber.

Zimmer Einrichtungen ist nicht ausgelegt für längere Aufenthalte. Es fehlen die Möglichkeiten Wäsche zu sortieren oder aufzuhängen.

Das Abendessen war wirklich sehr sehr lecker - können wir nur empfehlen. Der Besitzer ist super nett, hat uns mit dem Transfer zum Flughafen sehr geholfen, gerne wieder!

No hot water while we were there

The property is simple, clean and located right on the beach, which makes it a very relaxing and pleasant place to stay and there is also an on site restaurant offering a few vegetarian options, which are quite good. The location is also convenient, being quite close to the airport and the fish market, which makes it a practical base for a short stay in Negombo.

I asked for transportation from the airport and also for a transfer to Kandy, and in both cases the prices were significantly higher compared to what you can find on PickMe or other local services. In addition, the food at the restaurant is quite expensive compared to places nearby, but the location is very good.

совсем недалеко от аэропорта, вкусно поужинали, есть ресторан. хорошо при раннем рейсе или наоборот при старте путешествия если поздно прилетели. гулять вокруг не стоит

особенность - рядом рыбный рынок, место вокруг оооочень специфическое по населению и антуражу. нет кондиционера - очень жарко и душно, горячая вода тоже только естественного нагрева

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut. Wir waren hier für eine Nacht nachdem wir angekommen sind und hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Sehr hilfreiches Personal. Eine AC würde natürlich bei dem Wetter alles topen. Lage war top - direkt am Strand

I would have liked a mosquito net so that I could have the window open at night. early evening till maybe 9 pm there was the music box right in front of my room which was way too loud for me. given that I am a very early bedtime person that was not so cool.

Petit établissement de 3 chambres les pieds dans l'eau. Nous avons mangé sur la plage les pieds dans le sable un repas top. personnel très sympathique. Nous y étions notre dernier soir c'était super avec un beau coucher de soleil.

It's a sea facing villa , the rooms are comfortable and cosy, it's very private. 15mins to the airport and sea street is just 1min away, the main Street nearby, can easily walk around. Perfect place to unwind before catching the flight back from Sri Lanka. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset at the beach. There is a restaurant within the property. Good amenities like, transat, chairs , hammocks to relax by the beach .

Super tolle Lage am Meer und ein sehr freundliches Personal! Hat uns sehr gefallen.

Отель чистый и достаточно комфортный, находится прям на пляже. Это место конечно не для специальной поездки, а так до рейса потусить. Так как море не сильно чистое, но спокойное и чище чем вокруг. Если вам нужен отель для переждать, отличный вариант за не большие деньги. Так же тут ресторан, готовят хорошо, персонал хороший, отзывчивый. Ребята прибрежную линию чистят, можно с детками.

Nach dem Flug, erste Unterkunft. Sehr schöne Lage. Alles war perfekt. Leider hatten wir nur eine Übernachtung bevor es weiterging . Nur zu empfehlen.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und es war ein gut eingerichtetes Zimmer. Der direktw Zugang zum Meer war perfekt für die letzten Tage in Sri Lanka.

Perfectly located at the beach.

A simple hotel literally on the beach, very quaint and with an excellent on-site restaurant. The fish was delicious. Local fishermen set out from the beach in front or pull in their nets from the sea, a truly immersive experience in the local culture. We recommend a visit to the nearby fish market.

Die Lage war super! Die Menschen vor Ort waren super zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Es war wirklich ein toller Aufenthalt nach dem Ankommen in Sri Lanka.

We kozen voor winston sea villa voor de eerste twee nachten van ons verblijf op Sri lanka, en dat kunnen we iedereen aanbevelen. Het is een heerlijke plek, eenvoudig maar schoon en recht aan zee. Er zijn hangmatten en ligbedden en er is een heerlijk restaurant bij waar je lekkere verse vis kan eten. Kortom, je bent meteen helemaal op vakantie.

Siamo stati in Sri Lanka per 2 settimane e mezzo e sia la prima notte che l'ultima abbiamo optato per questo alloggio dato che era fronte mare. Purtroppo l'ultima notte la stanza per due persone fronte mare che abbiamo pernottato non era disponibile e ci hanno rifilato, senza alcun sovrapprezzo, la stanza con 4 letti. La stanza ear molto scura e umida e inoltre il letto matrimoniale era piccolo. Abbiamo passato la notte, nonché l'ultima, peggiore di tutte le vacanze.

Il personale molto gentile e cordiale. Il cibo abbastanza buono, soprattutto la cena in spiaggia. Atmosfera fantastica, tipica del luogo Molto vicina alle principali attrazioni del luogo. In generale consiglio questo posto proprio per l’atmosfera e le belle vibe che dona, se ci si sa adattare va più che bene!

Poca pulizia ma nulla di troppo importante In realtà come qualità prezzo va più che bene.

Les vistes espectaculars al mar, el menjar de molt bona qualitat i variat, i sobretot l’atenció del personal, que va ser impecable en tot moment.

L’habitació era una mica calorosa i amb certa humitat, probablement per estar just davant de la platja.

Letto scomodo ma soprattutto piccolo (sono 1.79 e le caviglie mi uscivano dal bordo), zanzariera che copre a fatica il letto, ventola necessaria per le notti più calde molto rumorosa, il rotolo della carta igienica era quello degli ospiti precedenti e quasi terminato, il transfer per l’aeroporto costa quasi 5 volte quello offerto da Pick Me e quasi il doppio delle agenzie che partono dall’aeroporto, decisamente troppo.

The food was a little pricey, but you can pop down the road and pay a lot less so I did that a few times to save money. The room had a fun but air con would have been great. Wasn’t a big issue though.

L'emplacement, et la jeune fille qui y travaille faisait tout pour que notre sejour se passe bien.

Nous avions demandé une navette de l'aéroport qui avait été confirmée (un mois en avance), et 20 min avant l'heure de pick up ils ont annulé malgré mes relances. La salle de bain était en très mauvais état, les draps sales, pas de climatisation, pas d'eau chaude. Vraiment pas du tout au niveau. Il faut absolument qu'ils fassent des travaux où qu'ils soient plus transparent lorsqu'on book une chambre chez eux.

La struttura ha una posizione bellissima, proprio sulla spiaggia e con dei tavolini in legno in cui abbiamo cenato con pesce fresco, e il personale è stato gentilissimo e si vede che tiene bene la struttura.

Avevamo due camere, entrambe molto pulite a parte le lenzuola di una delle due che erano macchiate.
