Lovely staff. Super warm and welcoming. Room was big, spotless and with sea view and balcony. Perfect location to both beaches and a short walk to town.

Les hôtes sont très gentilles et chaleureuses et la chambre est tres bien équipée et confortable ! Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la Kolition Villa !

De kamer was prachtig en groot, flexibel met handdoeken en ze hebben mijn was gedaan. Heel dichtbij beide stranden, mooi in het midden. Lief personeel.

De airco stond gericht op het bed dus dat was het enige jammere, die constante luchtstroom was soms vervelend.

AC worked great. The staff were very lovely; when I wanted to have a look at another room with a balcony, they gave me the room for the same price.

Sometimes the water pump for the shower kept turning off so there was no pressure or hot water. But when i asked about it, they fixed it asap

We have been to this area before and a place between the 2 beaches is the only way to go and Kolition Villa is perfect! The extra bonus is the SurfNSpice restaurant across the road which is excellent..

Everything was amazing! Room was clean, spacious, bright and comfy. Out my balcony I could see monkies :) staff so helpful and location perfect, quiet but only afew minutes walk to both beaches, as well as restaurants right beside!

Suri and his family are the best hosts. Really kind, nice vibe, so friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the Kings suite which was absolutely lovely, with an ocean view, a private balcony and monkeys in all the trees around. The room is beautiful. Good beds. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the Dickwella beach, which is the best beach when you are travelling with children. No big waves and a paradise beach. Highly recommendable.

Beautiful old house with interesting architecture. Perfectly located between the two beaches in Dikwella. Super friendly host, who helped us with tips for the area, a medical issue and organizing a driver!

The hotel is perfect location between two of the best beaches. The hosts keep to themselves but give you a message to check if you need anything. Room is spotless and bed is beautiful.

Locatie is top! Precies tussen de stranden van Dikwella en Hiriketiya in. Binnen 5 min lopen ben je op het strand van Hiriketiya. Kamer was schoon en het bed was groot en comfortabel.

Klein minpuntje was dat de eigenaressen geen Engels spreken. Met Google translate kom je gelukkig een heel eind. Ondanks dat zijn ze ontzettend lief en behulpzaam!

The shower was hot

When we arrived we were given a room at the back of the property we were given a piece of card with the WiFi code but not told the WiFi name and that was the last we saw of anyone ,there was a fridge in the room but no kettle and a couple of big ants in the bed,when we were ready to leave we had to go looking for someone to pay. I found the stay a bit strange as I don’t think more than three words were said to us.

Heel schoon en fijn hostel van zeer hulpvaardige familie. Ze doen alles om je het naar het zin te maken. Wij hadden een kamer boven genomen, die zijn ietsje duurder maar elke euro waard. Die van beneden zagen er zoals in andere reviews beschreven benauwd uit. De kamer was zeer ruim, groot bed met klamboe, openslaande deuren naar klein balkonnetje met zeezicht. Prima badkamer met koude douche, maar dat vonden wij niet erg. Het lag op de ‘bult’ precies tussen Hireketya en Dickwella in. Dickwella was uitgestorven, Hireketya is onze favoriet! Heerlijk zwemmen in golven, leuk strandje (gezellige tentjes en surflessen) en een relaxt- yoga - vibe straatje met gezellige eettentjes. Dit hostel is lekker dichtbij en daardoor rustig. Wij hebben er zo lekker in alle rust geslapen. Het is goed te lopen maar wij namen meestal een tuk tuk: 2 minuutjes. De eigenaar regelde de eerste avond zijn zwager als tuk tuk driver. Ook een heel fijn rustige man die wij daarna telkens appten als we een tuk tuk nodig hadden. Met hem hebben we ook een toer gemaakt. Wij zijn een moeder en dochter en hebben ons altijd veilig gevoeld. Het enige wat wij misten was een kluisje. Maar ik denk dat het absoluut niet nodig is. Het is meer het gevoel en dat wij kluisjes gewend zijn van andere reizen.

Suri and his mother are just the sweetest people. We booked 3 nights and ended up staying for 5. They made us feel very welcome and always made sure we had everything we needed. Suri also helped us with the scooter rental and gave us good recommendations on what to do in and around Hiriketiya. The room had everything we needed. It was a big plus to have a fridge in the room. From the balcony you could see monkeys and peacocks. The location is perfect - it’s right between busy Hiriketiya beach and quiet Dickwella beach. Thank you for a lovely stay, Suri - it was wonderful! 😊

The road between the 2 beaches is quite a steep hill so for those less mobile better to use a tuk tuk.

I booked a room at Kolition at short notice as I wanted to extended my stay in Hiriketiya. The room was perfect for my purpose as a solo traveller who simply needed a place to sleep. The room was spacious enough for me and had big windows for letting in light. The bed was large and comfortable. Lots of storage space in the room, including a wardrobe and dressing table. Bathroom was next door to the room but solely for my use. I think the advert stated that the hotel had hot water but I didn’t have any hot water in the shower, unless I was doing something wrong. Super friendly and kind owner.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kolition Villa—it was honestly one of our favorite places in Sri Lanka! From the moment we got there, Suri, the owner, made us feel so welcome. He’s just lovely, always with a smile on his face, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was perfect—super spacious, really clean, and so peaceful (well, apart from the peacocks, but we actually loved waking up to them!). Plus, the view of the ocean from the balcony was absolutely beautiful—it felt like the perfect spot to relax and take it all in. The location was spot on too. It’s just a short walk to Dickwella Beach, and Hiriketiya is only about 10 minutes away. We personally loved being in a quieter village area, surrounded by local families—it felt really peaceful and gave us a nice break from busier touristy spots. If you’re heading to Dickwella, we’d 100% recommend staying here. Kolition Villa was such a special place, and we’d go back in a heartbeat!

Good walking distance to Dikwella Beach and a tuk tuk drive or hilly walk to Hiriketiya. Was very clean and comfortable with AC. Views of ocean and can watch local monkeys from balcony. I highly recommend a meal at Smoke and Bitters and breakfast at Surf and Spice! The Hoppers down the road are also fresh and tasty!

Great location, just a short walk to the beaches, coffee shops, and restaurants, which made our stay very convenient. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering plenty of comfort for our trip. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor inconveniences.

The ground floor room we stayed in was a bit noisy in the evenings. Additionally, we noticed quite a few large ants in the room during our stay, which was a bit unsettling.

The staff were super helpful and amazing - did our laundry and got us a tuktuk to our next location at fair prices. The location was perfect, right between both beaches, Dikwella (swimming) and Hiriketiya (surfing).

Everything about this property was so good that I came back for a second stay on my trip. The hosts are amazing and make your stay as comfortable as possible

Very comfortable bed, beautiful house, great location in a calmer area between Dickwella beach and Hiri (around 5min to each walking), our room had a big balcony on the garden side, small shared kitchen to use, helpful host

- Private bathroom was in our case separate from the bedroom which was not so convenient - Unwelcome crawly visitors in bedroom & bathroom, host directly offered to clean room again but they returned 🥹 - Quite pricey

Views from room were nice as we were top floor and could see the sea. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and organised laundry for us.

Air con was difficult to control.

The location was very close to both beaches. The air conditioning worked perfectly.

The WiFi wasn't working due to a problem with the cables. There was super bad mobile data reception. The bathroom was small, and after showering, water was everywhere. There was a mosquito net around the bed, but mosquitoes were on it that hadn't been cleaned. The room had a heavy, musty smell of dampness. The curtains were very thin, so at night, when the lights were on, the room was completely visible from the outside.

We had a great stay at Kolition Villa. We planned to stay for 1 night and extended to 7 days. The rooms are clean and the view at the ocean is beautiful, especially when you wake up. It’s very quiet, still you reach good restaurants within a few minutes. The famous Smoke and Bitters is just a 1 min walk. To the beach you need 5 min. WiFi works well and the host is very nice.

I liked being in between Dikwella beach and hiriketiya beach, very close to both. The room AC was good and the room was comfortable. Suri and his family were so kind and helpful. Suri helped us arrange a day trip to Yala and helped us with transport when we needed it.

The wifi didn’t work well the first few days, I don’t think it was the villas fault, even my data plan didn’t work well in the location. It worked much better the last day and a half so it’s probably fine most of the time.

We only spent one night here & were lucky enough to book the last room they had left. It was small & tight for 2 people + luggage, although all we could get so no worries on that front. I’m sure there are bigger rooms. Staff were helpful & fine. The location is perfect !

Nice Villa with Nice Family! Air condition Works and Moskito net is Great. Its perfectly between dikwella Beach and hiriketiya Beach. Surfing in hiri, Swimming and chillig is better in Dickwella. You have a private fridge Thats Great!

I stayed at the property for 3 nights and had everything I needed. The owner is very kind and always available to help. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling with a companion or alone.

It is very well mantained and nice accomodation. We stayed in a room with balcony with sea view and we loved it. The host is very nice and helpful man and you can really rely on him to help ypu with anything. He was the best host we had on whole Sri Lanka trip.

The location was great and the surrounding areas are very calm and beautiful near to two beaches. Suri the owner was very helpful with dinner recommendations, sorting out airport transfers and allowing us to have a shower after the beach before a late flight. The room had a cool view of palm trees from the bed.

The bathroom was smaller than expected and could have done with a more thorough clean.

As soon as I arrived I felt at home. Run by a husband and wife, with Nana too. Luvly balcony.gorgeous old furniture, AC, fan, net. All was good. I think if you are solo female you will feel good here. Very close to the pretty Dikwella beach, and Smoke and Bitters, plus local restaurants.

The bathroom was separate to my room. But it was very clean and only used by me.

The first and second floor of a free standing bungalow have rooms, most rooms are lovely.

There is a room in the middle of the house which feels like living in a thoroughfare. Make sure you don't get this room.

The position of the villa is between two nice beaches. Both can be reached in 5 minutes. The room was big and bright. In the room there is a fridge and I was happy to use the kitchen in the other house to make my own coffee and some meals. Suri is a good host. I would recommend this villa.

Beautiful hotel with quality fittings and fixtures. very clean and neat all around. specially the host Nalani is a charming lady and very helpful. she made me morning coffee everyday even though it is not included in the booking. highly recommend this place for any one want a clean and quite room.

The owners were really nice and helpful. It is well located between Dickwella and Hiriketiya beaches both being a 5 minute walk. It’s nice that there is a little kitchen available to use. There is also a nice sitting area in the garden.
