Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Excellent guest house with hosts Darius & Vincent. Beautiful large room with a super luxurious mattress & pillows. The bathroom is spacious with double basins and a large shower. Like the furniture. Complimentary coffee, tea & biscotti a bonus. Welcome note with chocolates a special personal touch. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed meeting Jasper, the French Poodle and Jasmyn tge Labradoodle. Beautiful garden.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Battiss House is our Pretoria home away from home for the past six years. Vincent and Darius are amazing hosts. Interior of the rooms and the surrounding garden is beautiful and their breakfasts are the best! The location is very central in Pretoria East, well connected to Lynnwood, Brooklyn and Waterkloof - close to The Village with excellent restaurants, coffee shops and interesting artisan shops. Highly recommended accomodation.

Be patient when you want hot water in the basin or shower, as it takes very long to heat up. I think an indicator on the taps would help, as I started to wonder if the hot water was the other way around.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Battisse Guesthouse is five star luxury at a three star price. The setting and decor is a feast to the eye and heart. The amount of luxury detail in the room the just blow your mind. When last did you stay at a guesthouse where you get a handwritten personal note with a chocolate EVERY time you stay there! Good coffee and tea, fresh milk, biscotti, bar fridge, luxury soap, shampoo etc in the bathroom, a good hairdryer near the mirror.... every little thing you would love to have to feel at home.
Absolute nothing. This place is perfection and its staff too.

The owners of the hotel made us feel welcome since the first second and cooked a delicious breakfast. The area is quite small, which makes it intimate and nice. Stylish rooms that have everything one might need.
