Green Park and Eco Tree House

This place was amazing and so unique. We stayed in the tree house which was magical. The pool was refreshing for a swim and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We had dinner and breakfast there which was delicious and they helped organise our safari and drivers to and from each destination. Great value for money and would highly recommend to anyone

Wat word je hier goed verzorgd! Wij sliepen in de boomhut wat een ontzettend leuke ervaring is. Heerlijk gegeten en een fijn zwembad.

Vriendelijk ontvangst, goede kamer en leuke boomhut. Heerlijk gegeten en eigenaars heel erg behulpzaam. Echt een aanrader.

Very thoughtful staff and an imaginative compound design - we loved the tree house. The owner arranged a safari with an excellent guide - we highly reckoned him: speaks very good English, committed, history of involvement in wildlife. Loads of elephants and crocodiles. We saw a leopard - the first he’d seen in six months.

It was clean and comfy. Host were nice, food very good (especially the curry). Perfect for going to the Udawalawa safari

Eine der Besten Unterkünfte, welche wir in ganz Sri Lanka gebucht hatten. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat sich liebevoll um alles gekümmert. Das Zimmer/Baumhaus war sehr schön. Der Pool war auch sehr angenehm. Vom Baumhaus und Pool aus konnte man lauter tolle Pflanzen und Tiere beobachten. Ein richtiger Ort zum Entspannen. Das Frühstück war unbeschreiblich lecker.

Super mooie en rustige locatie. Zwembad is schoon en het personeel is super aardig en behulpzaam. Eten was ook erg lekker voor een normale prijs.

Great location near the park. Spacious room. Easy to keep bugs out of the room. AC working and cold water available. I could let my stuff in the room during the safari, helpfull staff I didn't use their safari tour so I don't know about that. I didn't use restaurant and pool so can't evaluate that

Les repas et les petits déjeuners fabuleux et très copieux, le meilleur Rice and curry que j'ai mangé... La tranquilité, l'environnement, la piscine ainsi que le safari avec un super guide qui nous a montré beaucoup d'animaux et donné des explications.

L'odeur dans la cabane dans les arbres et l'espace douche collé aux toilettes est vraiment très petit.

The host and the staff were the nicest people on earth. They helped us with organizing taxis at very fair prices, they organized a safari with the best guide (we saw elephants, buffalos, deer, several birds, crocodiles, ...) and the food was extremely good. The location was also nice, with a pool, volleyball area, and hammocks - on top It was clean. It had a great atmosphere and the Sri Lankan squirrels visited us. 100% recommendation.

Das Schlafen im Baumhaus war außergewöhnlich! Das Bett war sehr gut. Der Ausblick war toll, Abendessen und Frühstück ebenfalls. Alle Mahlzeiten wurden frisch für und zubereitet, waren sehr schmackhaft und hatten ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir konnten nach unserer Safari entspannt frühstücken und danach packen und abreisen. So viel Flexibilität trifft man selten. 🙂

Room large and comfortable, host amazing very friendly and very helpful, breakfast was traditional but was very nice, real good value for money

They organized our return journey from Unawatuna to the hotel seamlessly. They also arranged both the driver and Jeep for our safari, making the experience hassle-free. Lunch was a delicious serving of chicken noodles, ready for us as soon as we returned from the safari. Dinner featured a generous spread of authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry—plentiful and full of flavor. Unfortunately, we had to leave too early to enjoy breakfast, but they thoughtfully had coffee and tea ready for us before our safari. Great attention to detail and hospitality!

Good location for safari which was all organised by the staff at the property for us.

We had a very nice stay at this tree house. The owners were kind and welcoming, and they prepared good food for us. The house was clean, comfortable, and gave us a real chance to experience nature—we enjoyed watching animals from the balcony. They also organized a well-arranged safari with Janith, which was a great experience. We saw a lot of wildlife. Janith was an excellent driver and guide—he was very skilled at spotting animals and made sure we had the best possible sightings.

Host and food absolutely excellent, some of the best we experiencedin Sri Lanka. However, some rooms very dark as under the shade of all the trees, and small windows. Showers mostly cold as solar powered but barely any sunshine during our 2 night stay

Awesome tree house 🥰 Beautiful experience watching and listening to nature ! Ajith , Anil and Annul were lovely. Was a short walk to the Elephant transit - which was brilliant- what a great job they are doing ! 💪 Ajith arranged our safari, which we really loved, and our driver and guide Janeck ( sorry for spelling) was so respectful of the wildlife, and the surroundings. He constantly pointed out species of birds, reptiles , monkeys and of course elephants - giving space and respect to them . Thank you. Tennison , our taxi driver onwards, was a joy to spend time with.

Maybe keep drinking straws away from moth balls please!!!

They arranged a great safari tour for us. The driver were very knowledgeable and acted as guide as well. We realized too late that we should have tipped him directly, and not when paying the final bill.

This was the most unique stay ever! The treehouse is amazing! Sitting on the balcony watching the birds was so relaxing. The staff are so friendly and helpful, arranging us our safari and onward taxi. The Sri Lankan curry and breakfast were the best we had!

Absolutely nothing. The only suggestion I could make would be adding a hammock onto the balcony, that would be great!

Our favourite stay during our whole month in Sri Lanka! The owners are lovely. Showed us around there garden which was beautiful. Organised a brilliant safari. Food was super delicious. Super clean. Great Wi-Fi. Welcome drinks, tea in the morning. Couldn’t have asked for more

Shower didn't produce warm water.

we arrived on Christmas Day and the team had gone to the trouble of making a Happy Christmas sign out of wood and plant stems. It was such a touching thoughtful gesture and we were so grateful. We also loved our tree house room which literally was up in a tree. It was amazing.

Our stay in the tree house felt special and was one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka. The location was perfect to visit the elephant orphanage and the staff was lovely and helpful. The safari we booked with them was amazing. We loved the food aswell and would highly recommend this place!

The staff is incredibly friendly and do their best to make your stay exceptional. The treehouse is really special and especially the outside seating area is amazing! The food is amazing and definitely worth the price. We also did a safari with them and had a nice time. If you have time, also visit the elephant rehabilitation center, it's very close and a nice experience as well.

Not negative but a warning: You will be in nature, so expect insects, mosquitos etc in the tree house. There is a mosquito net but it doesn't fit on the bed properly, so prepare to bring repellent spray with you.

Amazing tree house surrounded by the nature - variety of monkeys, squirrels and birds. Tasty lunch (very good kari, not very spicy) and breakfasts. No need of searching for the safari tours - just ask the owner and he will arragne the safari tour or the taxi transfers for a reasonable price. He is a very nice and friendy guy!

We stayed in the tree house and it was fabulous, best accommodation in srilanka, excellent host who went out of his way to arrange a brilliant cooking lesson and made our stay wonderful. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was the best curry and rice I had during my stay. Bron Australia

the owners were so lovely and accomodating! the accomodation was excellent and a once in a lifetime opportunity! the owner arranged everything we needed and met all our requests! the food was amazing! cannot fault! highly recommend!

Such a cute little accommodation and amazing hosts! Made me tea in the morning and offered breakfast as an option. Its a unique stay and they even set up a Safari for me the next day and met and dropped me off right at the accommodation :) Great balcony - i hung my hammock and hung out there a lot. It was a fabulous 2 night stay! Thank you!

The inside of the treehouse is a bit dark - could use another window... but they had efficient lighting to suffice. Not a big deal! :)

Staying at Green park tree house was a one-of-a-kind experience and sleeping on a Mango tree house was just magical! The tree house was very cosy and super clean. Before getting there, we were afraid that mosquitos or little animals could be a bit of an issue while staying in a tree house in the jungle - yet we slept beautifully and did not experience any issues at all. Ajith was the best host! He welcomed us with a nice cup of Sri Lankan tea and spent time with us, answering all our questions and chatting about life in Sri Lanka! Ajith also organised for us an amazing Safari experience at Udawalawe National Park with a very experienced and super friendly local guide - highly recommend!!! Food was also delicious: home made Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast! if you are visiting Udawalawe you have to come here!

The tree house is so unique. I feel living inside a tree! The host is friendly and helpful. the Safari tour arranged by the host was also great. Loved the breakfast too.

Staying the night in the treehouse was an incredible experience. In the morning you could hear many birds and also monks singing. The personnel was fabulously kind and helpful. The owner arranged for me a taxi to take me from Tangalle, and also arranged for me a safari trip which was really incredible! The food is also amazing and traditional with a huge choice. I received vegan breakfast as I requested, and definitely didn’t leave hungry, it was really tasty. As I was really interested in the elephants, the personnel provided me a very interesting research to read about the release of elephant orphans into the wild.

The shower in the bathroom was extremely uncomfortable and the water was freezing - I was not able to take a shower there, although I can understand that as it’s a treehouse, I didn’t expect bathroom there at all :) The Wifi is very weak (in the treehouse non existing), in the restaurant I had it only on one day, next day I didn’t.

The tree house in Green Park is really beautiful and built with lots of lovely details. We felt like in the middle of the jungle - a real nature experience which no one should miss. The service was also exceptional! We were warmly welcomed and everything we asked for was immediately organized for us. We had an amazing Safari and a great taxi drive to Ella. You should definitely try the rice and curry dish as it was one of the best we had so far in Sri Lanka! Overall a wonderful stay which we won‘t forget!

Suck a cool experience getting to stay in the Treehouse with an actual mango tree growing thru it! Prepared a great supper and breakfast for me and help with organizing a safari in udawalawe, would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 2 nights in the tree house and enjoyed it so much. It cant be better for this price. The host and his family werde super nice and friendly. He also gave us a little present after Our stay. Brekfast and dinner also were excellent and we ate the best dahl on Our Trip. ONE poor thing is that Udawalawe national Park raised their prices a lot.

Even if we stayed just one night in the treehouse, we had a really relaxing time there. Both the Elephant Transit Home (20 Minutes by foot) and the Udawalawe Nationalpark (half an hour by car) are easy to reach. We enjoyed a jummy breakfast and dinner at the Green Park Safari House. The host talked a lot with us in the evening and was super friendly. Warmly recommend the treehouse!
