The location and friendly atmosphere, comfy and clean rooms, with an excellent shower. The host, Wally was extremely helpful and made our stay relaxing and stress free

I stayed here for five nights, and by the end of my stay it genuinely felt a little like home. The owner was very kind, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. He helped me plan my routes around Zhangjiajie, explained how to get to different scenic areas, and made travelling alone much easier and less stressful. I especially appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. After long days of exploring, it was always nice to come back here. The location is also very convenient for visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

A 5min de la puerta del parque, muy limpio y el personal súper agradable y dispuestos a ayudar con todo! Nos dejaron poner una lavadora con la ropa sucia y que nos pudiésemos hacer cafés en la cafetera de cápsulas. Proporcionan agua y las explicaciones necesarias para el parque. Muy atentos antes de la llegada también. Además nos cambiaron la habitación al llegar a una más grande sin pedirlo. Estancia de 10!

Debe ser mejorada la direccion social y sobre todo la razon social del negocio. A la hora de solicitar un didi, transporte, la direccion es confusa y el nombre del establecimiento no aparece.lo cual genera problemas.

It is located really close from Zhiangjiajie forest park entry, in a really charming street of Wulingyuan. Wally's place is truly charming, confortable and convenient. Wally is also very helpful, helping us planning our itinerary through the national park. Which helped us a lot. It is a nice place to stay, don't hesitate ! Ps : the dog there seems like he likes to be petted

Everything we could ask for in a hotel was here! The air conditioning, shower, hot water, towels, and especially the beds---they were so comfortable! We travelled to Zhangjiajie on a DIY trip and honestly had no idea how to plan our visit or what to do. We are so grateful to our host for taking the time to help us and explain everything we needed to know about visiting the park. The host even provided us with maps and clear guidance, which made our trip so much easier and less stressful. The room was comfortable, the facilities were great (we were even able to do our laundry!), and the hospitality was exceptional. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended! We would definitely stay here again. ❤️

WOW!!! My husband and I have been traveling for a year and this is by far one of the best stays we have had! From bag drop to check in, park planning with Wally and just the overall atmosphere of Wally’s House Hostel we can’t recommend it enough!!! The rooms were spacious and comfortable! Very clean and a/c worked great after long hikes in the park! This stay will be one we talk about forever! Thank you so much Wally!

Una de las mejores experiencias en alojamientos en China. Nos ofreció una habitación más grande que la que habíamos reservado. Nos ayudó a comprar las entradas para el parque de Avatar, nos explicó el recorrido que mejor se adaptaba a nuestro horario y nos facilitó el mapa con las indicaciones. Wally house is a 5 minute walk from the national park entrance. Wally the owner was amazing and mapped out our two day plan for us (we would’ve been lost without him!). We were also able to do washing there which was a massive win.

L’emplacement était parfait, à quelques minutes de la East Gate, et proche de plusieurs petites rues avec plein de restaurants. Le rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Et enfin, le propriétaire nous a fait de super recommandations pour l’organisation de notre voyage. Nous avions prévu en amont des circuits qui ne correspondaient pas à la réalité sur le terrain, et n’étaient pas optimales au vu de la météo, et avons pu ajuster notre programme avec lui grâce à ses conseils. Il était également très sympathique et attentif au bon déroulement de notre séjour et nous a fait goûter un aliment typique du Dragon Festival qui avait eu lieu quelques jours avant.

Wally, the host, is the bomb. We had 2 full days there & he patiently stepped us through 2 days of age appropriate activities (we're oldies). It made our time there so much more pleasurable because we knew what we were doing & where we were going. At one stage, we sat behind a group of young European men on the bus & twice, when asked where they were going, or what they were looking for, their response was 'we don't know'.... Wally's kindness in sharing his knowledge & experience made our stay. Our room was large & comfortable.

El hostel está a 5 minutos caminando de la entrada del parque zhangjiajie. Si quieres llegar temprano a la entrada al parque este es un buen lugar para dormir. Cerca del hostel hay muchos restaurantes y supermercados. Lo mejor fue Wally que nos ayudó en todo, nos indicó las rutas que debemos seguir en el parque zhangjiajie, el gran cañón y puente de cristal. Hizo todo más fácil, tiene mucha voluntad por ayudar, incluso nos llevó las maletas hasta el Didi Wally junto a su perrito hacen que la estadía sea como estar en casa

We had a fantastic stay at Wally’s - the hotel is lovely and our room was large and really comfortable. Wally helped us so much with our route planning for the national park and it really is a 5 min walk to the east gate. The location is perfect with lots to see nearby as well as the park. We also used the laundry which was a great bonus.

If you want to visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - the filming location of the movie "Avatar", this is an excellent choice for you. It offers great value for money. If you prefer small hotels rather than large hotels, Wally is a local who knows the park well. So he will guide you on how to enjoy your visit.

Owner Wally is very willing to help you solve any problems. He is always very patient and can ensure basic English communication. He planned the route for us to visit the park on the map. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay here.

La guesthouse est située à quelques minutes à pieds de l’entrée du parc, dans une petite rue très calme et est entouré de restaurants. La chambre était très joliment décoré, raffinée et confortable. Tout était très propre. La douche a de l’eau très chaude avec une bonne pression. Les serviettes de toilettes étaient douces et agréables. Il y a une bouillotte pour se faire ses boissons chaudes. La literie est très confortable avec une bonne qualité de linge. De plus, Wally est un hôte adorable et très arrangeant! Il nous a aidé pour beaucoup de choses (organisation du séjour, restaurants, il est venu nous chercher au bus, il nous a aidé pour notre lessive…) Et pour finir, il y a un gros chien adorable !

An excellent location. It only takes about 6 minutes on foot to reach the east entrance of the park. The owner will give you a free park map and he will quickly mark the tour route on it. I'm sure I'll have a wonderful vacation here!

Very good location; 5-10 minutes walk to East Gate entrance to Avatar mountains. Owner is amazing; gave us a map and explained everything step by step for all 3 days of our stay and our visits to National parks (we also visited Tianamen mountains, watched an evening show there and we visited Canyon with zip line and 2 slides. He booked us tickets for a show in Grand Theatre with some discount. Every room has a shower even though it's called hostel. Overall very nice and convenient place to stay.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war einer der besten auf unserer gesamten China-Reise. Die Lage ist perfekt: Das Hotel befindet sich nur etwa 5 Minuten vom Eingang des Zhangjiajie Nationalparks entfernt, was unseren Besuch extrem bequem gemacht hat. Trotz unserer sehr späten Ankunft nahm sich der Gastgeber viel Zeit für uns. Er half uns ausführlich bei der Planung unseres nächsten Tages im Nationalpark und stellte sogar individuelle Routen für uns zusammen. Zusätzlich erhielten wir einen Preisnachlass, und als Abschiedsgeschenk bekamen wir einen regionalen Tee, den es nur in dieser Gegend gibt – eine sehr herzliche Geste. Diese außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft und der großartige Service haben unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Wir können dieses Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen!

Hay una lavadora en la azotea, donde también se puede colgar la ropa. El dueño Wally es muy atento y habla muy bien en inglés, te recomienda que recorrido hacer en el parque dependiendo de tus planes, 1-2-3 días. Hay varios restaurantes y tiendas de comida alrededor del hotel.

La ubicación es perfecta. A 6 minutos a pie de la entrada este del parque. Y el propietario es sencillamente encantador. Para empezar habla un inglés muy decente y no hemos visto eso aún en los 10 días que llevamos en China. En este lugar es especialmente importante poder comunicarse porque el parque forestal es un galimatías importante y que alguien tan amable sea capaz de orientarte y explicarte cómo organizar tus días de visita al parque para no perderte nada no tiene precio. También se ofreció a gestionarnos la compra de la entrada llamando incluso a las oficinas del parque. En fin, una maravilla. En cuanto al hotel, es sencillo pero no le falta nada. Escogimos camas tipo tatami porque nos apetecía y resultaron muy cómodas. El baño también bien con ducha, gel, champú, zapatillas, cepillo de dientes… Agua sin cargo y recomendaciones muy interesantes para cenar por la zona. Definitivamente lo recomiendo y no dudaré en repetir si vuelvo. Ah, su perro es un magnífico animal, tranquilo y pacífico que da aún más la sensación de hogar

The WiFi was ok

Wally was very helpful with providing information about the park and helped us with an itinerary. The location is amazing, just 5 minutes walking from the East Entrance to the park. The bed is comfortable, the wet room is clean and the shower has good pressure. Wally even let us leave our bags in the room and use the shower again after our last day in the park (of course this was conditional on there being no new guests directly after us). Lovely place, fully recommend!

I like dogs but the living room had a dog smell. One of the rooms did not had enough warm water.

Overall, the place is really nice! We liked how close it was to the food street and the park entrance, also pretty close to the bus station. For breakfast we went to next door neighbor for cheap and tasty chinese breakfast to fuel up before mountains, then on the corner there is a good chinese food spot for dinner, and if you go towards the park entrance, the korean place is great too! The owner of the hostel can speak english, he will advise the routes and places for you to visit, according to how many days you have, and he can even get you some local tea, which was delish! The one-bed room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the big window looks pretty nice! The place itself is not new, so it may look a bit old, but i’d say it adds a charm to it.

I wouldn’t say it was bad, but since there is a lovely dog on the first floor, the smell is kinda strong, so make sure you love dogs enough to not be bothered by that. Also, since its close to the main food street, even in the evening and night, it can be a bit loud, but still tolerable.
