Reviewed Feb 11, 2026Arnold und Anna-Lise sind die herzlichsten und wärmsten Gastgeber, die man sich vorstellen kann. Das Ah Guesthouse ist eines der ungewöhnlichsten und tollsten, die ich bisher erlebt habe und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und bleiben länger. Das Frühstück ist grandios. Die Lage perfekt, in wenigen Laufminuten am Strand aber sehr ruhig, um nachts wie Steine zu schlafen.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2026I absolutely loved the location of the guest house, Seaview and the easy access to the beach. The property itself was so beautiful, tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The hosts Arnold and Annalise were extremely pleasant and friendly. They were knowledge about the amenities in Paternoster. The breakfast was delicious, like a 5 star hotel. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

From the start the host is welcoming and so helpful; not to mention has a wealth of knowledge on top of being an excellent cook!! Breakfast was served in three courses family style with the other guests. What a lovely way to meet others and learn about everyone’s travels, lives, experiences! The location is relaxing yet close to it one of the best restaurants: Leetos. Safe to say we would make a return trip without hesitation.

A special highlight of our stay was Arnold’s thoughtful gesture on Saturday night. After we returned from dinner elsewhere, he surprised us with the most delectable chocolate dessert. Reviewed May 6, 2025A quiet property, and the husband was kind and helpful. A nice discussion with other guests at the shared breakfast table. The breakfast was excellent. The room was okay as it suited my basic needs.
The wife; she was unfortunately a bit of a grouch and not hospitable. She offended me three times (no big deal), but I kept quiet. Breakfast was a bit late since I needed to get going for my work. The rate was reasonable but high for the South African market based on experience. I would not return for these solid reasons

The owners, Annalise and Arnold, took so good care of us. The rooms were great and so nice decorated. Next to the beach and 1 minute walk to the nice restaurant, Leeto. We will definitely come back!

Reviewed Dec 13, 2024This is the second time that we have stayed with Arnold and Anelise and we once again had a fantastic time. Their B&B is very comfortable and the location is perfect, adjacent to the beach and only a short walk into town. The most fabulous thing about staying here though is the unbelievable food! A 3 course breakfast, different every day, and a wonderful dinner a couple of times a week.

Guest house is very well located for both beach and restuarants. Our breakfast was FANTASTIC and so unusual. We also enjoyed engaging with the other guests. The house and rooms are well appointed and the experience of Arnold's breakfast is not to be missed. He also cooked dinner on one of the nights and this is a real fine dining experience to be enjoyed if you can. Otherwise his recommendations for restaurants are to be followed.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2024Fantastic welcome from Arnold Hoon. We were given a lovely bedroom upstairs with great facilities facing the veld. It had all the amenities needed from gorgeous fragrant toiletries to coffee and tea-making facilities; all well-spaced and compact. On the same level, we shared a charming terrace with other guests to have sundowners enjoying a view of the sea and beach. The ah! Guest Lodge is only about 150 metres from the sea. Safe parking outside and is within walking distance of restaurants and some shops. We had great assistance with our flat car battery. Although we had to leave very early the next day, we delved into a fabulous fresh fruit breakfast and coffee. Good value. What a charming arty guest house. Loved it! We would certainly stay here again and stay longer.
