The hospitality was excellent. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We were also kindly upgraded to one of the property’s top rooms when our original room wasn’t available. The facilities were amazing and there was plenty to enjoy during our stay.

The property is quite dated and could benefit from some modernisation, but this didn’t take away too much from our overall experience.

A wonderful location, situated in a very nice area. The staff was kind and attentive. If I return to Jamaica, I’ll already know where to stay...

Didn't end up staying more then 5 minutes. The smell was awful. The bathroom wasn't clean, there was hair on the floor. The shower was stained and brown. The bath tub didn't work. The description of what you get for the property is not accurate. Unfortunately it was nonrefundable and I wasn't able to stay. I would not recommend this property.

Top Lage, tolle Aussicht, schöne Anlage, gut gepflegt. Sehr schöne Terrasse. Großzügige Wohnzimmer. Perfekt, um sich zu erholen. Gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche, jeder hate sein Fach im Kühlschrank, Küche auch mit Essplatz.

Ein Tisch auf der Terrasse mit 4 Stühlen und einer Bank für 4 Zimmer ist wenig. Wir hatten Glück, dass wir die einzigen waren, die dort sitzen wollten. Im Kühlschrank waren vergammelte Lebensmittel. Die staff, die dort auch ihr Fach hat, könnte ein wenig darauf achten.

Schönes, grosses Resort. Ruhige Gegend. Pool und andere Bereiche gepflegt. Freundliche, hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Grosses Zimmer und Bad. Günstige Lage. Gutes Essen.

Betten waren durchgelegen und unbequem.

The location is good. Adequate facilities, secure parking.

Room and furniture a bit outdated and could do with some sprucing up or maintenance. The no shoes policy is off putting, to traverse around the common areas on cold tile is very uncomfortable. The breakfast was not good.

Lovely breakfasts and dinners, very kind and helpful staff who assisted in booking travel and excursions. Hotel is clean and in a very beautiful bit of Portland, close to Frenchman’s cove and blue lagoon.

The location and staff were great. The chef prepared really good jamaican breakfast in additionally to more American cuisine options available.

The rooms/bathrooms were a bit dated and need some maintenance and updating. In the bathrooms there were signs of mold or old caulking that needs to be addressed. The towels were shedding and coarse/rough. Need to throw out all those towels and buy new and use the right detergent to keep them soft and fluffy. The locks on the doors needs to be replaced. They are old and dated, loose etc. The wood flooring while still solid needs to be restained/painted, as well as the stairways. This is a nice overall place that needs to be maintained and updated if thy want to stay competitive.

Nicht weitersuchen! Wenn ihr eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit super gepflegtem  Garten inmitten herrlicher tropischer Landschaft sucht, Meerblick inbegriffen, seid Ihr richtig. Wenn Ihr dann noch Wert auf unglaublich herzliches und immer um das Wohl der Gäste bemühtes Personal legt - perfekt! Das findet Ihr hier. Solltet Ihr dann noch hervorragendenes authentisches Essen genießen wollen, egal ob Frühstück, Mittag- oder Abendessen, umso besser! Auch da werdet ihr hier nicht enttäuscht. Durch die überschaubare Zimmeranzahl hatten wir in den 10 Nächten hier oft das Gefühl, wir sind alleine in dieser wunderschönen Villa. Der Pool kann gar nicht überfüllt sein. Wir genossen das super leckere Frühstück,  das keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat! Und wenn wir mal ein tolles Abendessen genießen wollten - besser als hier haben wir auch außerhalb nicht wirklich gegessen. Um ehrlich zu sein, wir haben uns in noch keiner Unterkunft so wohlgefühlt wie hier. Und wir sind schon etwas in der Welt rumgekommen. Der Manager Stefano war in seiner professionellen und gleichzeitig herzlichen Art sensationell.  Wenn es doch nur mehr Menschen wie ihn geben würde, deren Beruf fühlbar auch eine Berufung ist! Wendet Euch an ihn, wenn Ihr Wünsche und Fragen habt. Er hatte tolle Insider-Tipps, hat für uns bei Ausflügen super Preise verhandelt und sogar einen Kochkurs bei einer einheimischen Gastronomin  ermöglicht.  Einen Aufenthalt hier werdet Ihr definitiv nicht bereuen, Versprochen! Und wir werden beim nächsten Jamaika-Urlaub auch wieder hier einchecken. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon darauf!

The location, the grounds were beautiful. Bountiful fruits on the trees, especially Julie mangoes. Steve and Stefano that manage the property were excellent and made us feel welcome and attentive to our needs. Our family of five loved them both. AC was perfect. In the Gondwana room the AC was perfect but I like fresh air coming in through the windows so I turned it off after awhile. The house has a wonderful breeze to it. The hospitality was excellent

Really good value for money. Breakfast was delicious and a good price. We loved having our meals on the back terrace!

Il y a un chef cuisinier qui prépare les meilleurs plats jamaïcains et si vous voulez vous cuisiner des plats vous pouvez car il y a une véritable cuisine équipée frigo four gaz machine à café micro onde et une terrasse incroyable avec vue sur la mer….la chambre est tous simplement incroyable avec la climatisation télévision frigidaire serviettes une salle de bains digne d’un hôtel de luxe etc… le personnel ce fera un plaisir de vous rendre votre séjours le plus agréable. De ligging was echt prachtig en toen we aangaven dat we niet te reden waren over de kamer, kregen we een upgrade. Dit werd serieus opgepakt!

This guest house is a really gem nestled in the hills. It's light and airy, the staff and manager were very welcoming.

Well, you have to climb the stairs or pay for taxis to get to the hotel.

Le personnel n etait vraiment pas agréable. On a juste l impression de les déranger. Pas de prise dans la chambre pour brancher son téléphone ou autre Beaucoup de marches pour accéder aux chambres avec les valises.

In addition to the beautiful setting, the staff were very professional, welcoming and accommodating. We'd like to give a special shout out to Shanique and Dichoda for their amazing hospitality. Also, the manager ensured that we had a peaceful and comfortable stay.

Amazing location. great value for money. Run by a friendly Italian manager, the room is spacious,with a big comfortable mattress, good shower pressure and an oasis of tranquility. Good breakfast and had a nice lobster pasta. Recommended

I had breakfast twice it was good. The location was a bit hard to find , I went by the road twice before finding it All the staff where kind and helpful. All of the beached are very close to the guesthouse.

The proximity to the major attractions in Portland and the opportunity to use the refrigerator and cabinet to store my own food and drink. Also, the opportunity to meet guests from other nations was enriching.

My daughter and I loved this place: the location just a few hundred meter away from the Frenchman's Cove, specious rooms, the views, lush greenery and the shared kitchen where all guests can use a fridge, a stove and a microwave.

Very upmarket place to stay—and the price reflects this. Extremely well managed and run with friendly staff. Nice and quiet. Superb location for anyone interested in birdwatching as it is within walking distance of San San police station, so brilliant for spotlighting at night (Jamaican Owl and Northern Potoo) and for the day time birds there (notably both endemic cuckoos). Well signposted although the property also emailed us directions on how to find them.

Only negatives were the kitchen kettle didn't work properly (you had to hold the power button on) and there's not really any other close by meal option other than the relatively expensive (but delicious) in house evening meals. If the hotel invested in setting up hummingbird feeders, I am sure this property could attract more interest from the sizeable birdwatching community given its superb location.

Terrible Smelly bathroom like a sewage No handle on the bathroom door Showerhead did not stay up Terrible shower base - had a leak and was glued back and looked like someone had vomited on the shower base The shower base sunk as you stepped on it. The Jacuzzi in the room was not working and had not been working for some time. Rather than tell us before we came that this was reflected in the price they waited until we arrived!! Finally we did not eat there as there was not really a Jamaican breakfast more like a dinner. Luckily I decided not to get it as later that evening my partner walked in to find a mouse on the cooker!!! The room had a nice view but rubbish thrown on the grass to the right of the balcony. The staff are not very welcoming or very present..No one at the reception after 9pm. This property needs some tlc - dated and needs some maintenance!!!! Plus pest control..

Warm welcome from Stephano. Great room, generous size. Air conditioning. Excellent full kitchen, large shared lounge/dining area. Good bathroom with plenty of space and good hot water. Guests can do a shop in Port Antonio and prepare full meals in the shared kitchen.

The location was great although it was a bit hidden. Place was very clean, I am not against the no shoe policy however would love if they had provided bed slippers to each guest upon arrival. The owner and staff were very welcoming. I don't think I would stay here again though.

Rooms needed freshening up. Towels were worn. The room was very musky. Bathroom vanity showing its age and useful life.Television wasn't working it was fixed.

We had the Kilimanjaro room which was very spacious. Lovely bathroom, walk-in closet and huge bedroom. Had our own private balcony which overlooked the pool & the sea with spectacular views over the bay. Liked the idea of cooking for yourself or ordering from the menu for breakfast & dinner. Usually made our own breakfast & had dinner off the menu 3 times during our weeks stay. The food was excellent - especially the Jamaican options. We liked the no shoe policy indoors, just like at home. Staff were mostly friendly & helpful. We had a hire car but mainly used the Route Taxi's. 150 JMD to Port Antonio and a similar fare to Winifred & Boston beaches which were amazingly chilled. Pool was available 24x7, so after a day of sightseeing you could just chill out with some rum & reggae until you decided to go to bed. Also recommend the Sunday Vinyl evening in Drapers which starts at around 6pm.

We did have a problem with the shower (a cracked shower tray). The owner made another bathroom available to us while the repair was carried out. It was fixed that quickly that we didn't actually use the other bathroom, so a big well done for sorting it so quickly.

Staff were attentive and friendly , room was clean and location was superb.
