割と最悪。宿代の支払いは自分でお釣りを作りに街まで出ないといけないし、オーナー不親切。テント泊を部屋に変えたいと申し出ても高いよと貧乏人扱い。ベタベタするし謎にバスルームも鍵閉められていてお風呂使えなかった。

Beautiful environment, super clean, comfortable, and safe. Carla is warm and helpful and so interesting and her family too. Everyone in her team were kind and welcoming. Close to local beach, shops, route taxis stop just outside her gate, So the whole of Portland's beautiful places are right on the doorstep too. We were able to do our own cooking in the guest kitchen. Carla gave us fabulous recommendations of places to go. It was great to learn about her social action work. I would love to go back. Highly recommended

Host Carla was very nice and the water pressure was high.

Beds in the triple were not comfortable, bathroom was tiny with a faulty basin pipe which sprouted water and wet the floor and your clothing. The toilet seat was coming off. The accommodations in which we stayed, a party of 5, would benefit from a renovation. I read the reviews and made my choice based on the reviews to stay for one night but unfortunately I cannot comment positively as I did not experience what other people wrote. There were other rooms on the property, so the comments were made probably from staying in those rooms. Electrical outlets needs to be checked. Parking is a challenge.

I chose to stay here because of its convenient proximity to the town and nearby attractions, which made getting around very easy. It’s a good option if you’re on a budget and looking for value for the price. The area is quiet, and the sound of birds chirping adds a serene touch, truly lovely music to the ears.

The Wi-Fi doesn’t work most of the time or struggles to connect, which can be frustrating. Parking is limited if you’re driving, and the rooms and guest areas could be cleaner and better maintained.

From the veranda at Drapers Guesthouse you can see the sea and listen to its music day and night. The staff are exceptional. The owner has an excellent chef who welcomes your choices from the menu with individualized options. The room staff instill trust and clean regularity— and do the extra job if you ask. Drapers Guesthouse is ideally located right next to beautiful Sancho Beach, which is a non-populous public beach where you can find privacy and tranquility. A few hundred yards from Drapers’ front gate is the lovely Frenchman’s Cove, which has an approximate $20 entrance fee, and not 3 KM away is the exquisite Blue Lagoon, which is virtually free. The Lagoon offers some of the best swimming in the world. Carla Bulotta, the owner of Drapers, is an excellent host who knows the area like the back of her hand and who is generous with her time and offer of suggestions. Carla is also very dedicated to Jamaican communities and does human rights work in Port Antonio, Kingston, and in other areas of the island. There is no better place to stay on the north coast.

The owner greeted us and we were able to chat and connect because we do similar activism and I've been to Italy before. I was given a choice as to where we could stay and invited to the local evening entertainment which i wouldn't have known about if the owner hadn't told me. There is a beach near by and it is lovely. its unassuming from the outside but once you enter the gate it is very peaceful and has a lovely vibe to it.

There was nothing that i didn't like. It is great value for money and good location to stay when in Portland.

The location is quite good if you have your own wheels; otherwise, the guesthouse will provide a relieable taxi for you; there are many beautiful beaches nearby. Both the room and the common areas are clean and cutely decorated. Both the room and the bathroom were large enough and well lit, allowing to read in bed. Breackfast was tasty and dinner was always excellent. All the staff members are efficient and kind. Last but not least, the owner is an extraordinary Italian lady who will provide lots of information about the area and also about Jamaica: she has been living in the country for more than 30 years and works there as a Human Rights activist.

The guesthouse is on a steep slope, therefore it is necessary to climb lots of steps in order to reach the different areas; moreover, these steps are uneven and are to be found even in unsuspected places, such as one inside the room I had. There are no thick curtains to prevent the bright morning light to fall very early on your eyes. There is a roaster who starts making a very lond noise at around 06.00 AM, preventing you from sleeping a little longer. It is not possible to pay with a credit card.

Perfect location for nearby birdwatching places for me. Lovely garden..Carla was really accommodating and promptly replied to messages.

You should definitely stock up on cash in Port Antonio. Drapers has a small shop where you can get everything what you neee. The accommodation is located right next to a small park with access to the sea. It's a wonderful place to relax. You have the option of cooking for yourself or ordering breakfast and dinner there. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need; only a few knives were missing during our stay. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It's lovely to sit on the terrace in the evenings and enjoy the garden. Our host was very kind and asked daily if everything was alright, if we needed anything, or if she should bring us anything when she left the house.

Drapers is an amazing, tiny, rustic guest house. Carla and her staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful any moment, for anything. It is located just few minutes away from Port Antonio, but it is a central, perfect location to drive to main beaches and attractions. Drapers also offers many other services that tourists surely would enjoy: paddleboard, tour guide, and so on. There is a free little beach (Sanco beach) just around the corner. The breakfast was great: honestly, Jamaican breakfast was much better and totally overcoming the continental one, but remember to ask for it 1 or 2 days before. The place is silent and surrounded by nature. Here you can feel cultural and natural vibes as in few other places. It needs little, tiny things to fix but I recommend it 100% for a nice, short stop of few days in Portland, to enjoy peace, relax and comfort.

La ubicación es inmejorable: se puede llegar caminando a las mejores playas o, si se prefiere, tomar los route taxis, que son muy económicos. Está cerca de bares y tiendas para abastecerse. El personal es sumamente amable y siempre pendiente de uno. El señor Winston, por ejemplo, me acompañó el primer día a comprar y conocer el lugar, y el último día me despertó y se quedó conmigo en la puerta hasta que llegó el taxi. La habitación es amplia y muy cómoda, y la cocina está súper bien equipada con todo lo necesario para prepararse las comidas. Franchesca y la joven del aseo también fueron muy amables y cariñosas conmigo. Me sentí seguro en todo momento.

Faltó mayor estabilidad en la conexión wifi. El aire acondicionado sería un gran plus considerando lo caluroso que es Jamaica. La ducha necesitaba mantención, ya que estaba rota.

The location was excellent, walking distance to Frenchman’s Cove beach, Blue Lagoon, and many bars. The place was very cozy, and everything was very clean.

Close to many beautiful beaches, could hear and see the sea.

Uneven paths etc not good for anyone if they are suffering with knees,hips problems, to many steps.

Excellent location in between Port Antonio and the beaches, very helpful and friendly owner and staff, clean, cozy and comfortable, delicious meals prepared in the guesthouse restaurant, affordable. It was really nice to sit and look out at the garden and hear the ocean so nearby.

The shared kitchen for guests was very basic with minimal equipment.

Carla was very accommodating. She was so helpful as were everyone in the property. She is a great host and a wonderful human being. .

The house is quite cluttered and the rooms needed a bit of insulation, you can hear everything at 7am when everyone is awake.

The breakfast was delicious: omelette with as much toast as I wanted; tea/ herbal tea and fruits - citrus, papaya, pineapple.

Perhaps freshly prepared Jamaican chocolate tea could be offered or lime leaf tea to showcase the variety of beverages in Jamaica.

Carla and TJ went above and beyond In my situation. I ended up staying in a different room and it really felt like home for the four days that I was there.

There were a few bugs, but that is not in anyone’s control!

Very lovely Garden and wonderful Host. Free Sanco Bay & supermarket just 5 minutes walk away. Stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed every day. Thanks Carla!

Breakfast was excellent. Omelette with chopped banana, pineapple or papaya on the side and generous helpings of toast and tea. The dinners were excellent: a choice of fish, chicken or beef with rice and salad, pasta and vegetables.

Heavier curtains on the front window to shut out the security light at the front gate of the property.

I really enjoyed staying at Drapers San Guesthouse. Carla was super nice and hospitable. The location is really good to visit nice spots in Portland. My favourite was Winnifred beach. i enjoyed my meals at my guesthouse and every bit of my stay.

Carla was a sweetheart of a host. She provided me with assistance before and after I got there and even gave me a sweet upgrade due to the availability at the time.

The rooms were modest but clean and functional. There were fans in the rooms and the water pressure in the shower was good. The kitchen was fairly well equipped (bring your own coffee-maker though) and there was a dining room that accommodated up to 6 people. Additional seating was available outside. The WiFi worked well in certain areas. Nice and quiet public beach was just five-minutes walk away. The staff was friendly; especially the owner, Carla, who was keen to make sure that we had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay. We were able to park our car inside the gate, but inquire beforehand, as the space is scarce.

Place was passable, I need somewhere to sleep for the night and I got that.... the host was amazing...love love her personally . the security was very helpful. I also love the fact that I was very close to the Beach. :)

I wish my room and bathroom was a little bigger. but I guess it was worth it for the price. Bathroom door needs fixing...I forgot to mention this to my host... the place needs a little renovation...

Carla is an absolute legend and the amazing positive aura she have will let you feel home and in a total relax! The staff with her are also an awesome team.. can’t wait to be back

I loved the charming, homely and authentic feel here. I could hear the gentle sound of waves nearby my room which was so soothing. The host and staff are attentive and friendly and very helpful. There's lots of beautiful beaches to visit and there is a sweet beach within walking distance of the property.

Carla is a wonderful person and together with TJ a great caring host. She has all the knowledge of Portland and beyond and can tell how to find your way. The clean and well equipped guesthouse has a relaxing lush garden with the sound of sea and birds. Beautiful beaches are within walking distance and Port Antonio within minutes by taxi for JMD 150. A lovely place.

It was quiet and peaceful. Home away from home

Carla and her staff TJ and Verona do everything to make your stay at Drapers comfortable and to make you feel looked after. Carla was great with communication before we arrived and during to help us get the most out of our stay. She organised taxis and trips to Reach Falls, Rio Grande River Rafting and a hike with a wonderful guide called Rufus to learn about the local nature. TJ is a wonderful cook, the best we had in Portland and we can highly recommend his meals. Verona cooks up a tasty good value breakfast and keeps your room clean. There is a little beach 5 mins walk away where you can have boat trips and Rafting trips. We saw turtles here and can recommend the boat guide Mario. The locals are friendly (watch out for the hustlers, if you say you are not interested they will quickly leave you alone). We went to Vinyl Sunday at one of the local bars, we can highly recommend for old school reggae and great vibe. Geejam is opposite if you want to go to a nice bar and play pool. Drapers San was easily accessible by getting Knutsford Express to Port Antonio and then getting a taxi to Drapers San Guesthouse. It is also very easy to get route taxis to travel around the area. We felt that we had a great authentic Jamaicam experience at Drapers.

Some of the furnishings could do with updating. Near a busy road that can be noisy at times. This did not disturb our stay though. The green garden backing on to the sea makes up for this.

If you are looking for a place to calm down and enjoy nature, Drappers is the place. Fall asleep while hearing the waves from the Sea and not that far from beautiful beaches like Winifred or Frenchmans Cove. Carlota and her team were really helpful and helped us organise excursion/transportation on short notice. Make sure to have dinner or breakfast while staying there. TJ will make you a wonderful and delicious meal. Big up and blessing to the whole Drappers team. Felt like home and not a guest house.

Carla is a great spirit n I love the conversations and the workers there! Simply friendly hood and everybody is nice out there :)

- wifi was sometimes spotty - the room door with its key - several times the toilet didn't stopped flushing - the kitchen wasn't well equipped

Accommodation and the hosts were superb. Both exceeded our expectations.

The location was a good bit away from everything, however Phil our host was fab and picked us up and dropped us where we wanted to go at no extra charge. He even introduced us to sites n beach we didn't know about.

Carla was charming and helped us with everything we needed. Location is perfect. I strongly recommend it.

Carla and Francesca are so passionate about Portland and preserving its beauty for the community. It was an absolute pleasure to speak with them on these issues and what they've been doing to support. Oh, and the guesthouse is also great! Luscious garden, clean and quiet rooms, delicious homemade breakfast, and a perfect snorkelling beach next door. The room rate is also great value for Portland. Highly recommended, will definitely come again!

Karla, the owner, is the kindest person, super helpful and accommodating. The cottage has a small living room which is very nice to hang out in the evening. The breakfast could be prepared on short notice and was super tasty.
