Right on the beach, easy to book extra nights. Provided free drinking water. Good jumping off point to explore the rest of the island. Gave good recommendations. Helped us book our ferry back to mainland.

The room wasn’t all that clean or comfortable,…but I guess it is a chill and inexpensive beach bungalow… You can definitely stay in nicer places on the island, but you’ll pay more for them. Got kinda weird vibes from the owners like they were charging different people different prices and stuff. But they were nice to us.

The the beach is clean and the location is nice, just right next to the pier so after boarding on/off the boat I can get there easily, and i like the view from the pier. Further more, it close to the trail to Lazy beach which is on the other side of the island, just about 30 minutes walk, the sunset there is beautiful.

There's nothing i really don't like, just that there's no food serve at my stay, but that's not a problem as i can walk a littl e and find some restarants and a mini-mart which i can buy food and drinks.

We had a great time at Sunny Bungalows. It’s super affordable considering the location and compared to other hotels nearby. The bungalows are like 30 m from the beach. The property is in a great spot close enough to restaurants and bars, but away from the busy tourist areas. We practically had the beach to ourselves around the bungalows, which felt incredible. The beach itself is absolutely stunning. The bungalow was basic but comfortable. Since you are surrounded by nature, you should expect to hear animals during the night, but we didn’t have any issues inside apart from a harmless gecko. They provide plenty of drinking water and a kettle, which we really appreciated. The lady at reception was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. There is also a diving shop on-site, so it’s a great place if you want to try diving. The property is also on the path to Sunset Beach, which makes for a lovely short walk. One thing to be aware of: there are sandflies on the beach, and their bites can be a nightmare, so bring repellent if you can.

Located a 1 minute walk from the beach front so was nice a peaceful and surrounded by lovely plants. Room was provided with a mosquito net and a large blue contained full of drinking water.

There is no air conditioning but the fan conveniently is placed right above the bed so you are kept very cool during the nights.

Un gros avantage de cet établissement, c'est qu'il se situe à proximité immédiate du débarcadère, ce qui est un gros atout quand on arrive par bateau avec des bagages volumineux, car les déplacements sur l'île sont compliqués. Le lieux lui même est sympas, avec un petit bar et quelques bungalows derrière, jolis, agréables et propres, où nous avons passé de bonnes nuits. Et puis nous étions pratiquement les pieds dans l'eau :-) Le propriétaire, Dimanche (c'est son prénom), est très très gentil et toujours prêt aider. Nous avons apprécié les moments passés avec lui.

Located near the pier so you can carry suitcase easily to/from hotel. Great bar at the front. Mosquito nets worked, except first nigh I slept my my finger under/against it and got lots of bites. Other nights I positioned myself more center. Fan was enough to cool down during night time, but at the day time the room, especially bathroom was hot. Big jug of water on the balcony to fill up the bottles. No restaurant at the hotel but there is one next to it. Bed was comfortable, but the bed sheets didn't want to stay in form.

The floor had cracks and there was "soft" spots, sometimes I was afraid that it can break totally when I stepped on. Wifi didn't work in bungalow, but neighbor hotel wifi worked on the balcony. There is a heater for shower, but powers were cut of when you took shower. There was heavy rain(not their fault) and roof leaked at couple of spots.

The bungalow was right next to the beach & bars/restaurants. A 20litre bottle of water is provided.

The staff were not particularly engaging. At breakfast they had no coffee or cold water. The bungalow was very basic with gaps in the floor. Also holes in the mosquito net which meant we got bitten quite a lot.

In der Dusche fehlt eine Entlüftung. Die ganze Feuchtigkeit bleibt bei geschlossener Türe im Badezimmer oder zieht in den Schlafraum, was diesen zu einer Sauna macht da der Raum ja auch keine Klimaanlage hat (was korrekterweise angegeben ist)

Le bungalow était vétuste et pas propre tapis et lavabo sale robinet rouillé. Les bungalows ont beaucoup vieilli par rapport au photo ce n est pas du tout ce que l on voit sur les photos environnement pas du tout attirant et accueillant , pas de transat rien n est comme sur les photos. Les photos datent et j ai remarqué que les commentaires datent aussi sur certains sites de 2023. .??? Les serviettes de douche ne sentaient pas très bon . De plus des la première nuit nous nous sommes réveillés avec des boutons dans le dos . Tous les matins nous avions de nouvelles piqûres sur tout le corps dos et jambes ,qui grattaient . On nous a dit que cela pouvait être des puces de sables ... Mais c est étonnant nous avons pensé à des punaises de lits mais sans voir des punaises...nous avons regardé !Sur le matelas... Mystère punaises de lit ou puces de sables, car les bungalows sont implantés directement dans le sable et le plancher est ajoure on voit le jour les bêtes peuvent rentrer donc direct avec l extérieur.

It is close to the pier and walking distance to other restaurants and bars.

The bungalow was old and needed repairing. We had an ant nest under the tile next to the sink and ants were all over the sink ( they did send the cleaning lady with a spray but it did not help). There is a fan and mosquito net but no blankets and I think the sheets were not changed for a while. It was a very disappointing stay and luckily we only stayed one night

We liked the location, being super close to the beach The chalet was fairly comfortable and included a 20L bottle of drinking water on the balcony There's a (quiet) bar on the property & plenty of restaurants around Good value for money

The towels & sheets & pillows smelled old & musty. I don't think they put fresh ones before our arrival. Part of the reason was that they didn't seem to be expecting us so hadn't aired the room in advance. Guests should check this on arrival & ask for new towels & bed linens if needed.

Sunny bungalows are comfortable and have everything you need. It's very close to the beach at prime location. I got great help from them assisting me on buying ferry and minivan tickets. Friendly nice people. Great restaurants just steps away.

Nothing to complain

Simple bungalow with basic amenities but very comfortable. Looked exactly like the pictures. Staff was exceptionally helpful. An authentic stay. Book a ferry that stops at Eden Pier to avoid a 30 min walk along the beach with your luggage.

Bungalows have a good location, a lot of space and a terrace to relax. The breakfast is really good. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

Can't recommend this place enough, especially for travellers who want to support local Khimer families.👏 The best stay I had in all the Cambodian islands! Situated right next to the peer where the boats come in, yet very tranquil. Bungalows are huge and have verandas, hidden away on a quiet strip of sandy road. They are Impeccably decorated - the little details of love, everywhere. Tea kettle - complimentary coffee, excellent shower, mosaic stones in the bathroom, bedside tables for charging, good wifi - excellent lighting. I can go on.😄 It's next to the diveshop, and those guys are very cool. Lastly, this family is open, funny, wise, and patient - not to mention effortlessly helpful, kind, and generous. Thank you!

Amazing location. Cool thatched rooms with a veranda. Comfortable with mozzie net, kettle and drinking water. Attentive stay, very friendly. Cool bar with friendly guy. Loved it. The beach is unspoiled long may it stay, please please.

The location is perfect, just steps away from an amazing white sand beach with beautiful clear shallow water. Very relaxed vibe, quiet and peaceful with a small bar for a cold beer. A good number of great reasonably priced restaurants just a few metres up the beach. Plenty of water activities to do if you want or just lie on the beach under the shade of trees. All staff were really friendly, helpful and available at all times of the day. Excellent value for money, basic bungalow but everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Amazing little stay right on Saracen Bay beachfront!! Owners are so happy and caring, will assist with any of your needs. Food and drink available all day, breakfast included is a great start to the day.

Nothing!! Those moaning about lack of power/power cuts/low water pressure need to realise they’re staying on an island!!

We stayed here for seven nights and it was a great place to stay for a low price on Saracen Beach. The bungalows are your classic basic bungalow, no air con or other extras, but you have a fan and a mosquito net over the bed. We were asked every two days if we wanted the bungalow cleaned and the sheets/ towels changed, so no problems there. The two fellows that run the place are super friendly and helpful. The fellow that runs the bar is also a nice friendly guy and pours a good beer for a good price. Wifi is available in the restaurant and most of the time available in the bungalow. I hadn’t read anything about the food before I got there, but the lunch sandwiches were huge and tasty and in the evening, the Kymer dishes were delicious! The bungalow is located right by the Eden Pier so you don’t have far to walk if you get off the boat at that pier.

Fabulous location. We stayed in the bungalow right above the bar that overlooks the beach. It's a fantastic location. We spent hours just sitting watching the sea and the world go by.

Some of the facilities were a bit intermitent. The power kept going off, the shower wasn't hot sometimes. The bathroom needs a bit of a refurbishment.

Close to the beach and friendly hosts. The towels and toiletries were a nice touch.

We stayed just for one night - our last night on the Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloen islands - before catching a ferry back to Sihanoukville and train to Kampot. The location is super convenient for both coming here from the Sunset beach (where we stayed the night before (getting there by $5 pp boat from the MPai Bay village) and catching the Buva Sea ferry to the mainland, as the pier is right outside. The beach outside the Sunny Bungalows is beautiful and clean, with transparent water and white sand (while some parts of the Saracen Bay have some rubbish sadly). The use of paddle boards was free which was great (and I certainly took advantage of that, as the sea was calm as a lake - perfect for paddle boarding). The breakfast was delicious and included in the accommodation price, as was the unlimited water refill. Both the owner/ manager and his family and all staff were super friendly, kind and generous. The bungalows were better than the pictures I thought, and were surprisingly spacious. Overall, it was great to stay here for a night, and we enjoyed watching the sunrise and wondering up and down the beach even though I would recommend staying also at other places on both islands.

There could be some noise depending on who else is staying there (we could hear people talking in the bungalow next to ours and a family with a crying baby further down...)

Our 2 bungalows were next to the very loud generator so that you cannot sleep. There is no wifi. The ”Garden view” is a fence and the backside of Eden’s bungalows. The bungalows are very simple. This would have been ok for half of what they charged (in comparison to other places we stayed at).

We only stayed for one night but glad we did. Very friendly owners and there was a book in the room to give info about the property and activities in the area. Clean, with a mosquito net and we were cool in the night despite no air con. Great place to stay for our last night on the islands.

No wifi password in the room and we couldn’t get it to work at reception but it was fine for us!

I can’t recommend this place enough! They welcomed us with a big smile and helped us in any way they could throughout our stay. The bungalows really cute and perfect to relax. The food is great too. Thanks a lot for everything!

Really lovely staff, they were amazing and they helped organise a fruit tower cake for my boyfriend’s birthday! Really chilled out place, next to Eden pier so easy to get to. We bought the sea view room and had an amazing few, the room is above the bar so it can get a little noisy at times but we really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have a foot tap outside the room to prevent sand everywhere in the room! An added bonus is that they have a very cute puppy staying around the area :)

Location a few meters from the pier but you are on the quieter side of the beach. Not a lot going on.

On first glance the bungalow was okay but this all changed when we returned from dinner to find a huge cockroach in our room. Due to the large gaps in between the wooden floor boards the cockroaches have free roam to come and go as they please. We also had multiple geckos crawling about and were badly bitten by mosquitoes on the first night due to holes in the mosquitoes net. After the first night I was not prepared to sleep another night in that cockroach infested bungalow so we asked if we could move into a different room which was fully inclosed. After arguing with the employees after they wanted to charge us more money they agreed to move us for one night but informed us that it had been booked for the following night. This was a lie as after check out they offered us another night stay as we had requested a refund. We checked out the following day and requested a refund for the one night stay which was refused due to this being a tropical island and multiple cockroaches were ‘normal’. Well the new accommodation we booked definitely didn’t have any cockroaches or insects crawling around👍🏻. I must also mention that we accidentally left a laptop behind in the room and did not realise until the evening. They did not inform us it had been found even though they had our contact details. My assumption is that they hoped we wouldn’t have realised until we left the island… Overall a terrible experience that ruined our first few nights on the island. Do not stay here!

Nasty nylon sheets. Smelly bathroom. Needs updating especially for the price. Some staff not especially bothered. Don’t accept garden room 5 or 6, the generator is next to them and it’s deafening!

According to description is should be a luxurious bungalow, instead it was a very simple cottage. It should also have a view to a garden but the view was to a walking path.

Staff are amazing, location right at the beach and the small port but it's not like boats are coming in every 2 minutes, peaceful. Good food. Nice rustic bungalows. Fan and Mosquito net did their jobs. Thank you guys.

No WiFi in the room, can get from next door but never went. Some people won't care but if you have an early night and need the internet ,tough. Not being able to pick my phone up every 5 minutes actually meant that I slept great for once!

The beach is quiet in the evening, but the generator makes noise all night at the bungalow (No. 5 and 6). The smell of diesel and exhaust fumes. The cottage sometimes smells of waste. There is no fridge, not even a shared one. Power goes out often. Because of the noise, I will not return here and I will not recommend the accommodation to other travelers.

The staffs are super helpful and friendly. They helped us everything we request. The location is at ơn Eden ferry around many nice restaurant and very nice beach. The room is clean and lovely bungalow.

Very nice bungalows. We got beneficial information from the owner on how to get to the island. The accommodation is about 70 m from the fast boat dock on a beautiful beach with white sand and beautifully azure water. There are a large number of excellent seafood restaurants in the area. The bungalow accommodation was in a quiet lane. The bungalow was clean, and it was quiet and peaceful all around. The cottage was immaculate, and all the staff was amiable.

I didn't find any faults.

We had the best time at sunny bungalow. The staff was super friendly and helpful and even sent my powerbank through cambodia after i forgot it in the bungalow. We did not have a big problem with mosquitos or bugs, the mosquito net helped a lot. The beach outside is beautiful and other beaches are reachable by foot. I would definitely come back!

Great location close to the Buva sea / Eden pier. Really friendly staff make you feel part of the family! Short walk to the main cluster of Restaurants. Sun beds, beach towels and coffee & water provided.

Water pressure low for the shower.

Before my arrival, Sunnys organised my boat for me to Eden Pier which was literally a minute walk from the bungalows. From the moment I arrived the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The bungalows are spacious, clean and there is outside furniture to chill with your morning coffee (kettle provided in the rooms) The mosquito net was a great addition and there is 5L of drinking water provided free which gets replaced when empty. The offer food at the bar which was lovely and great value. Also has the cheapest beer on the island and the best people to enjoy it with. They hosted a family BBQ one night and it was the best seafood I’ve ever had. Sunnys offer tours and paddle board rentals so you can find everything you need here. They also organised my return ferry and booked my bus going to Phnom Penh when I was leaving. They are constantly improving and upgrading the place, for example, they were installing solar panels when I was there. So don’t pay much attention to older reviews as it has likely been upgraded. I extended my stay here because I felt so welcomed and had such a great time. Would highly recommend.

Standard in this price level compared to other locations in Cambodia. But the whole island seems to be expensive.

Our Sunny Bungalow was exactly as we had hoped: a simple wooden hut, with a relaxing veranda, hidden among lush vegetation. We certainly weren't expecting luxury and that's probably why we found our bungalow surprisingly comfortable. Bedroom was very spacious and clean, having al the essential basics we needed for our budget beach holiday. Yes, all what’s written in other reviews about the room’s not completely closed is true, but that's what characterizes (and what we like so much about) this type of accommodation. Just don’t keep food in your bungalow and you’ll have absolutely no problem with the local wildlife. Bathroom was huge and very clean as well. Ánd made of stone, so more privacy (noise) and no walk-in/fly-in insects. It was very windy on Saracen Beach when we were there, but since the bungalows were in the backyard of the beachside café we were able to enjoy our veranda without wind. That was really nice. Service was super friendly and attentive. Dimang and his staff were always available for information and help. We were 100% happy that we chose to stay at Sunny Bungalows and would definitely book this place again on a future visit.

Beautiful location with really lovely staff. They organised a taxi boat to drop us at the pier when we were leaving as it was at the other end of the beach. Next door has a really good restaurant with lots of nice food. Drinks at the bar are a good price too, and the beach is literally 5 minutes from your door. We loved our time and wish we could have stayed longer.

Location was fantastic staff were all lovely and very welcoming and so helpful, they were setting up the bar and food as we were leaving and what I saw it looked so good.

Affordable, simple island style.

The staff was pleasant but did not really help solving problems with the ferries as the winds were strong. In other lodgins guests got help and tips. Also we were told that a tractor would pick us up for the morning ferry after asking (this was not offered automatically). They forgot. The morning got very hectic after that.

I stayed at Sunny Bungalows for a week in a rustic bungalow and loved it. The bed was comfortable, the mosquito net did it's job perfectly and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The garden bungalow was perfect, peaceful and also surprisingly quiet! The walk to the sea was 1min and there were loungers there to sit on overlooking the sea. There is a path to Sunset Beach right behind the bungalows and I loved that it was far enough away from all the hostels/restaurants in the middle of the bay, but also only a short walk to reach them. The info they provide in each bungalow on the whole island and restaurants etc is very helpful. As is the owner! He was super friendly and could assist with many things. I had already bought my ferry ticket to the island before booking the bungalows so didn't realise that Island Speed Ferry is the only one that doesn't stop at Eden Pier - next door to these bungalows :( I was delighted to avoid a 30min beach walk with my bags as Sunnys sent the little speed boat to collect me from Paradise Pier! They also took me back there when I was leaving. I highly recommend staying here. It is great value for money.
