Meilleure expérience de guest house pendant notre voyage au Sri Lanka. En plus d'avoir une très belle maison décorée avec soin et très confortable, nos hôtes ont été plus qu'accueillants : visites, snorkeling et déplacements en tuk tuk... nous regrettons juste de ne pas avoir pu rester longtemps

Nearby Galle is very quiet in the evening. I was with a teenager for whom nearby Unawatuna was more suited - we would base ourselves closer to that location in future.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend. Man konnte sich Tipps für seinen Aufenthalt in Galle holen. Die Lage in der Nähe des Strandes war auch sehr gut. Nach Galle hinein waren es ca. 10 min mit dem Tuk tuk (Parkplätze vorhanden). Ich kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würde wieder hier übernachten. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und das Bett bietet einen guten Schlafcomfort.

Emplacement un peu excentré donc au calme, proche de la mer et accès rapide à Galle en tuktuk. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et serviables, nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Very kind host family! Excellent breakfast, the host drove us to Fort Galle and the train station. He was super helpful in many things. The place is close to a beach about 100 meters. Part of it is a bit rocky, but if you walk along, it is more swimmable.

Nothing really negative, but they are in the process of renovating some things, so there might be some noise from workers, but they are adding more improvements to the place, like a pool and such, so in a couple of months it will be even better.

Felt like part of the family. The wonderful owner gave me a ride into town, I left me luggage there after checkout and when I retired to collect, his wife made me tea and cookies even when I checked out. Very clean rooms, beautiful balcony.

I did get locked out one night and had to burn the rope that was locking the gate to get in haha so just make sure to let the owner know if you will be late.

Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. On nous a proposé de laver notre linge gratuitement. On a pu louer un scooter en très bon état qu'on nous a apporté à l'hôtel. La chambre est grande et très propre, avec une bouilloire. Eau chaude qui fonctionne très bien. Petit déjeuner : 2 œufs, toasts, et une belle assiette de fruits, thé, café. La situation nous allait bien car nous circulions en scooter. Il y a un supermarché typiquement local à 500 m qui vaut vraiment le détour 👍: idéal pour acheter des épices pas chers.

Le grand lit était constitué de 2 matelas de 90 cm, et pas tellement confortables (on sentait les ressorts...).

It’s a lovely private accommodation, close by the beach. Owner’s family is so friendly, talkative & anytime available to help with food, laundry, transportation, travel tips…

It’s not really within walking distance from the city fortress but the owner was happy to get us there in his tuk-tuk.

Nos gustó mucho la estancia porque también nos gusta el trato con el ambiente y las personas locales. La familia ha sido muy amable con nosotros, hemos desayunado y cenado en el alojamiento también. La habitación estaba limpia, ordenada y con lo necesario. El alojamiento no está en el centro, pero da a la carretera general y hay mucho transporte que te lleva tanto a las playas del norte como hacia la zona del Forte.

A very nice village style two storied home stay with lots of tress inside the premises. Hosts (uncle-aunty) were very nice, served us with English breakfast with fruits and was reasonably charged.

We spent 3 nights at Lahiru Villa and it was magnificent. The homestay is managed by a family, who are genuinely good people - they care of all of your needs and are very friendly and approachable. They also cooked delicious food for us. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location is also easily accessible to all parts of Galle and nearby areas.

La camera è spaziosa, pulita e con aria condizionata. Colazione abbondante fatta sul terrazzo vista mare. La famiglia che ci ha ospitato è molto gentile e carina. In pochi minuti di tuk tuk si può raggiungere il forte di Galle

Ottima struttura con camere molto grandi a qualche minuto di tuk tuk dal forte di Galle ma a 200m da una bella spiaggia. Personale disponibile e accogliente. Camera senza fronzoli ma pulita. Colazione nella media, niente di eccezionale ma buona, servita su un balconcino vista mare. Molto apprezzato il fatto che ci abbia lasciato la camera un paio di ore oltre l'orario di check out su nostra richiesta. Rapporto qualità prezzo in zona credo imbattibile

Lamento leer tantos comentarios buenos de este sitio cuando mi experiencia no ha sido la adecuada. Todos los sitios donde nos hemos alojado durante estos 21 días en Sri Lanka es en el único donde no hemos estado a gusto, no por el lugar ni por la limpieza porque era correcto y estaba todo bien sino por el trato recibido de la mujer del hotel. Primero preguntamos si tenía un spray ya que nos encontramos por la noche cucarachas en la habitación (cosa normal por el país que es) a lo que la propietaria subió a darnos esprai picando varias veces a la puerta cuando le estábamos diciendo que esperara un momento ya que estábamos en la cama, yo intenté explicarle que ya las habíamos matado a lo que ella me comentó que mi inglés era malo y no lo entendía. Después de todo comentamos que queríamos desayuno (éramos 2) y ella procede a preguntarnos que a qué hora le comentamos que a las 10am y a las 9:40 ya estaba picando de malas maneras a la puerta para despertarnos y que desayunáramos. Al salir a desayunar solo había un plato una taza y unos cubiertos para una sola persona siendo dos. Mi pareja tuvo que decirle que faltaba un desayuno… a la hora de despedirnos no nos ha dicho ni adiós. Salimos muy decepcionados.

-la clim est un peu bruyante mais avec des boules quies ça passe -difficulté à trouver un tuktuk ce matin sur PickMe pour aller à la gare, mais j’ai fini par en avoir un au bout de 15min

Die Lage zum Beach war sehr gut. Man geht nur ein paar Meter, dann über die Straße durch eine Hotelanlage und ist an einem sehr schönen und sauberen Strand. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich.

The room was on the top floor with views of the ocean. We really enjoyed being on the terrace and just looking out. The rooms were big and spacious. Great value for money.

There was no fan in the room just the ac. If we wanted to keep the windows open to let in the fresh ocean breeze, that was not possible. Everything else was excellent.

A really nice farm stay experience! The owner is extremely friendly, and chatting with them was so enjoyable—they made us feel right at home. What I loved most was the freedom here. The opening and closing times are very reasonable, which gave us plenty of flexibility to plan our days. Location-wise, it’s a winner: super close to the beach, and just a 7-8 minute drive to the city center. Overall, it’s highly recommended. The value for money is fantastic—definitely worth a stay!

Lahiru Villa is truly a great place to stay! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and his wife, both of whom are incredibly friendly and kind-hearted. The hospitality here is outstanding and genuinely heartfelt. The rooms are cosy, neat, and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning and geyser both work perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay in any weather. One of the highlights was the beautiful sea view from the balcony — you can hear the soothing sound of the waves, which adds a peaceful and relaxing touch to the stay. Breakfasts at Lahiru Villa are exceptional. Everything is homemade and prepared with care by the owner’s wife, and the food is absolutely delicious. We were especially impressed when they went out of their way to prepare an early breakfast for us before 6:00 AM, so we could eat before catching a 6:48 AM train. On top of that, the owner kindly offered us a free tuk-tuk ride to the railway station — such a thoughtful gesture! The villa is conveniently located, with tuk-tuks to Galle city or Galle Fort costing just 250–300 LKR and taking less than 10 minutes. Overall, Lahiru Villa offers an unforgettable experience with warm hospitality, comfort, and excellent value. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Een hele fijne en comfortabele kamer met prachtig uitzicht over de zee. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend aardig en hebben ons heel fijn geholpen om de bus te vinden richting de luchthaven. Hij heeft ons zelf naar het busstation gebracht met z'n tuktuk. Heel fijn verblijf en goede prijs kwaliteitverhouding!

Werkelijk een fantastisch verblijf bij een ontzettende fijne en hartelijke familie. We hadden de kamer met zee uitzicht en het was precies wat we nodig hadden. Je hebt een lekker zitje buiten de kamer waar je prachtig op de zee uitkijkt. Het bed en de badkamer waren fijn en schoon. We hebben omdat we het hier zo naar ons zin hadden zelfs nog een nachtje bijgeboekt. Met onze eigen tuktuk waren we in 5-10 minuten in het fort.

The location, near the beach, was awesome. Also there is a local hypershop called RTS, there you can get very good quality of foods with very cheap prize.

Our room was so beautiful, just 5 minutes with Tuk Tuk from the fort but surrounded by trees and with a nice view of the ocean. The room was one of the most beautiful and comfortable we had in Sri Lanka, better than a 5 star hotel!

Our room was lovely and clean, with a large and very comfortable bed. The air-conditioning worked well, the water was hot, and the wifi worked fine. We had the room on the upper floor where the views of the sea, the palm trees, birds, and bats were amazing. Breakfast of omelette, toast, marmalade plus fresh fruit was great. We also ate dinner (vegetable curry and rice, with side dishes) each night, which was very tasty and good value for money. The location is about 10 mins in a Tuk Tuk from Galle Railway and bus stations. We walked it every day, and it took around 30 mins at a reasonable pace.

Beautiful room, spacious and equipped with air conditioning, a tea kettle, and a large bathroom. For a small additional fee, I was able to have breakfast, which I highly recommend—not only was it delicious, with fresh fruit, but there are no restaurants nearby. On top of that, the kindness of the hosts is truly incredible!

This was one of our favorite stays in Sri Lanka. The hosts were super nice, the room was big and bright and the best part was the view of the sea and the nature around! We saw monkeys, peacocks and a lot of other birds. Breakfast was good as well.

Sauberes kleines Zimmer sehr gepflegt, schöne kleine Anlage im Grünen, sehr ruhig, tolle Gastgeberin , unbedingt abends Cury und Rice dazubuchen, kleiner Strand und Supermarkt in 7 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen, an der Schildkrötenauffangstation Bus nach Galle hält fast vor der Tür, 10-15: Minuten Fahrt, sehr unkompliziert

Chambre confortable et propre avec climatisation et eau chaude. Maison très agréable et un peu à l' écart de la route principale qui mène a Galle mais tout de même très proche. Près des plages. Famille très gentille et à l' écoute. J'ai pu louer un scooter par leur entremise sans complication. Galle a 3km. Restaurants à proximité du logement.
