DiNi Galle

Anfitriones agradables.

Taking more money

Spacious rooms. Incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts. Made us feel like we were at home. Not a far tuktuk ride to town and a 15 minute walking distance to a beautiful beach

Not applicable - we loved it!

Super amables! Las habitaciones correctas! Camas amplias.

Attento a tutto. Colazione perfetta.

Bon petit dejeunzr Accueil sympathique

On recommande !

Skvělý majitel, se vším nám pomohl a poradil. Hotel je mimo centrum, v klidné části. Snídaně byla perfektní.

The hospitality was warm and genuine, and the hosts went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The food was excellent with generous portions.

The water pressure could be improved

I had a great stay at DiNi Galle. Exceptional breakfast, lovely room, beautiful surroundings and the kindest owners. Thank you so much 🙏 Highly recommend 😌

Exceptional breakfasts and kind caring hosts.

All was good 👍

The DiNi Galle homestay deserves a 10 star rating, the stay was exceptional! We were greeted warmly by Diloshi who gave us a cold freshly squeezed orange juice drink and a cold bottle of water. The home and our bedroom/bathroom was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully done in the dining area. An information file was provided with very useful information on Galle, local bus connections, express bus to Colombo airport, places of interest etc. They also provide an extensive menu which we wish we had tried. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed two nights and would definitely go back again. We highly recommend this home stay! Thank you Diloshi and Prasad for your awesome hospitality and kindness.

All good 😊

Room clean. Great room + bathroom. Super friendly people. Really feels like home. You can also eat there if you want. Breakfast was amazing.

Nothing

The property is located in a lovely and calm district outside but really close (with tuktuk, bus) to the fort area. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. If you like relaxation and you prefer calmness over crowded turistic places, this place is what you need.

This is a lovely place to stay. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable, with an attractive balcony, in a peaceful area. It was a bus ride away from Galle Fort , it’s a short walk to the bus stop and buses come frequently . The couple who run it were kind and very helpful. Breakfasts were good and ample. Good price for the laundry too.

Nothing, I liked all of it.

What can I say, amazing stay amazing and totally friendly and kind hosts Very clean good WiFi and above all a great cook Totally recommended to try anything from the à la carte menu ( ate there 4 times) I forgot to mention the incredible breakfast

Very helpful owner. Breakfast was great. It was clean and functional

Location was further away from Galle than I realised

Très bon hébergement, hôte très gentil. Bon repas et petit déjeuner.

A big house run by a nice couple. The room is clean, with hot shower, fan, hair dryer, balcony. You can have fresh juices, beer, diner at the homestay for a reasonnable price. You have to walk 5mn to the main street, then catch a bus for a 10mn ride to reach the main bus station (fare is 40 rps). The beach is 5mn of walk from the hotel but don't expect a nice.spot to swin.

You have to pay 3$ for a/c. Breakfast is just ok. Nothing amazing compared with the other homestay we've stayed in. They invoice the daily bottle of water given for free eveywhere else....

Very good location. Calm and very clean. Staff was very good. Nice place

Chętny do rozmowy. Przygotowuje pyszne posiłki i koktajle. Gdy córka zapomniała łańcuszka przywiózł jej skuterem! Polecamy pobyt

Niektóre sprzęty czekają na odświeżenie

Upon check-in, the host welcomed me with a fresh fruit juice and a large bottle of cold drinking water, which was very thoughtful. The guesthouse is located in a village, surrounded by a peaceful and pleasant environment. It is very quiet, and I could see many small squirrels on the tree branches, which was lovely. The bus stop on the main road is about a 600-meter walk away, with frequent buses — it only costs 40 LKR to reach Galle bus station and Galle Fort. The breakfast was delicious. I stayed for two nights and also had dinner here twice, and both meals were excellent. I really enjoyed my stay.

Établissement à proximité de Galle. Accueil très chaleureux : jus de bienvenue offert. Propriétaires adorables, bienveillants et de bons conseils. Toujours disponible. Établissement de très bonne qualité, propre, lumineux. Au calme. Petit déjeuner délicieux : ananas, pastèque, papaye, pain, beurre, confiture, café ! Nous nous sommes régalés. Nous recommandons à 100% les yeux fermés !!!

RAS

Location was perfect for us. Approximately 3 km from Galle City/Fort. Breakfast was sensational as Prasad was a chef and will cook you anything you’d like for dinner

Very welcoming non-pushy hosts who gave us lots of information about how to get around the area (what bus to catch to get to the fort and back, and how much it would cost - very helpful!). Excellent breakfast in a nice dining area that opened out to a nice deck with views of trees and monkeys. House is very easy to find. We ate dinner here two nights as well, an extra charge but not expensive and amazing food. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked well (a small extra charge for the air conditioning but we were happy to pay it to be able to sleep well.) The house was nice and quiet. We would stay here again if holidaying in the area.

Everything was great.

If you're looking for a quiet location, this is the right place... it' away from the hustle and bustle but it's only a 5 min tuk tuk ride from the town centre. The whole family have been so good to me... and the breakfast is not just generous but also really tasty. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

GOOD CONDITION ROOMS. FRIENDLY STAFF.

So good

Lovely big breakfast in the morning and really friendly staff. Its really easy to get a PickMe tuk tuk into town

Brilliant service. Lovely family. Everything is very professional, clean and very friendly people.

Nothing.

The owner is a very very nice person. Very good energy is there. Amazing local breakfast, very delicious :) thank you for everything.

Some insects in the room, but you can get used to it while in Sri Lanka :D

If you want an authentic Sri Lankan experience, this is the place for you! Hosts are warm and very attractive, ready to share some stories with you! Tasty and abundant breakfast cooked on the spot, with a possibility to have dinner too, which is also very convenient! Room is basic, but has everything you need, there is a shared terrace where you can relax. I highly recommend this place as an alternative to escape Galle noise and crowds. Easy access to Galle Fort by tuktuk or bus.

Excellent wifi; nice balcony. I was impressed with breakfast and dinner made to my taste. The hosts do everything in their power to make their guests happy. They take care of everything. I felt relaxed and happy

Nothing

The hosts at the property were wonderful throughout our stay. They kindly welcomed us with a refreshing drink, which we needed as it was so hot outside. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the host made sure we knew what was in front of us - which was always delicious. The bed was really comfortable, the room was spacious and clean.

The location is a little further out of Galle but we had a tuk tuk so it was not a problem for us.

Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful host. We had a wonderful time at DiNi Galle and can fully recommend this place.

Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast. Very quiet area. Short bus ride into town

No complaints

It was super nice! Perfect stay to relax and not in the croudy tourist places. We loved it and the family was also super nice. A highlight was also the breakfast:)

Host is helpful and very friendly. No problem to stay an extra night. Rooms are nice, clean and breakfast is very good. Loved our stay here!

Very sad to leave this wonderful homestay. I will be back! 😀

Had the most incredible stay ! Food and staff we re the best !

Nothing

The location was amazing !! A little farther away from turisty part but you could easily get a tuk tuk there , the staff was lovely , and the prawn curry was delicious ! You have to stay here if you’re looking for a quieter stay in Galle !

Nothing

Nice local neighborhood, friendly owners, quiet, good breakfast. Also dinner can be had, tasty

Bathroom could do a good clean up

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and the breakfast we were given was amazing! I accidentally left something behind and they were kind enough to drop it to the station. The room was clean and the property was very accessible. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent host! So friendly and made us feel like home. Breakfast and dinner was incredible, so much food for such a good price! Room was comfortable and great WiFi.

Loved everything!

Diloshi was a perfect host - welcoming me warmly on arrival and immediately offering refreshment. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable; always a plus point to be able to switch off the light from the bed. I found the fan to be sufficient but it was good to have the option of aircon for a small extra charge. The location is ideal - quiet but just a cheap tuk tuk ride from Galle center (or an even cheaper bus ride). The surprise was to be able to enjoy delicious food on the premises prepared by Diloshi and her chef husband for a most reasonable price. Breakfast was generous and tasty too. Can't speak highly enough of this friendly, helpful couple and their lovely accommodation.

Nothing to dislike

Diloshi and Prasad are so friendly and welcoming, I felt very comfortable staying in their house. The room was perfect, the breakfast delicious! and I enjoyed sitting on the nice balcony and listening to the jungle sounds around. Prasad even borrowed me his e-bike to get around, which I really enjoyed.

That they work towards sustainable tourism and help those in need Quiet location Great breakfast and dinner Can arrange great tuktuk tour of the area

Great family run homestay. I a quiet part of Galle. Offers separate rooms + a huge indoor sitting area and a balcony. Both owners are super friendly and will do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable and easy. Breakfast is top notch. Fresh, local, tasty. I wish we booked for longer.

There is no fridge in the room, so you have to keep drinks downstairs or drink warm. But that’s a very small „but” comparing to all the +s

Good but not excellent.

Room is small and not well equipped.

Everything is fine

Nothing

I went to the city center, but it is 4 km away from the city center. The room was very old and dirty. It was the dirtiest room I have ever seen in my life. I'm sure it hasn't been cleaned for at least 1 month (except for the bathroom and basic parts) There was a charge to turn on the air conditioner, the air conditioner was so old that when it worked, you could not sleep because of the noise. There were many lizards in the room. So we couldn't sleep for 2 nights, we were paranoid. The ceiling fan was very dirty and when it worked, dust probably came on it. The top of the wardrobe had not been cleaned for at least 1-2 months. It was dirty everywhere. There were many cobwebs on the ceiling and spiders were crawling around the room. When I told the landlord about these problems, he denied it. He said they cleaned every day. He stated that this was the first time they had received such a complaint. When he shared this with his wife, she came to his defense. He raised his voice and said that this was not a 5-star hotel. Just because it is not a 5 star hotel, does that mean that the room is so dirty and animals can walk around? Human health was not very important to them. The landlord and his wife angrily told me that I could not pay for the room if I wanted to, but if I did, there would definitely be a problem. I paid $30 for the room, which was $35.24, and then the landlord said I was $5 short and asked for the money and I laughed and paid another $5. He did not charge me for the air conditioner, which costs 1000LKR per day. I asked for 2 orange juice and he gave them as a gift. It was a hotel I would never recommend again. Who cares about their health should not go to this hotel. There are much better hotels for a little more money.

It is spacious with an outside balcony, you can make atea, the host is phantastic and in a family environment and very green environment, you feel how it is to live there. The breakfast was tasteful!

Nothing

- Nice cozy place - Very delicous breakfest - Clean rooms - Quiet area - Nice and helpful host

Hosts looked after us very well with delicious food (there is a dinner menu) and advice. The location is very convenient, walking distance to the Galle-Colombo road from where you can take a bus to Galle or to Hikkaduwa. It's a quiet neighbourhood. Beds were comfortable, room was clean.

Beautiful house in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. Very high ceilings give the rooms a palatial feeling. Hosts are very supportive in giving advice and helping with taxi bookings. A highlight is definitely the delicious food, prepared by the host, who worked as a professional chef in Europe for many years.

Very close to Fort, hotels , shops, water. The owners are 5 star. Service far superior than any 5 star- $400/ night hotel I’ve stayed in . Food was delicious and on-par to 5 star yet very reasonable. I personally ate all my meals here as nothing in the fancy restaurants compared for value. This accommodation is for travellers who appreciate home-stays with good people.. this place is not for nitpickers who are looking for superficial luxury. You won’t find this here. Owner also has an ebike he will let you ride for a mere 1000 lkr 1/2 day. Awesome as I am an ebike rider!!! I’m going back for a long stay last leg of my stay in Sri Lanka.

There wasn’t anything i didn’t like because if i needed anything the owners always gave it.

Liked the hospitality of the host Prasad. Felt like home. Best homestay we experienced in Sri Lanka.

Nothing

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the best we have had in Sri Lanka. We felt very well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our experience of staying here. The balcony at the front is a fantastic place to sit and read in the evening.

It was all great.

Everything

Nothing to complain

We had a very nice stay for 2 nights at DiNi Galle. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast excellent (we got toast, butter, marmelade, different fruits, 2 eggs, Roti and Dhal). Although it is a little outside the main town, getting to the center is easy by either short walk+bus ride (~15 min total) or Tuktuk. When you walk from the hotel to the main coastal road, there is a nice quiet beach right behind the bus stop/crossing. The owner was very helpful in arranging a scooter and giving tips for our stay.

Great location close to the railway station and fort. Amazing host who helped us with lots of information and provided impeccable service. He helped us to rent a scooter and arranged tuktuk for us early morning to go to the station. He made us feel like family with all the care and guidance. And the breakfast was mouth watering plus they arranged it as per our convenience. Thank you, we had a lovely stay.

Almost everything was great. This is the first time we tried a place like this. Usually we go for a villa but this time we went for a homestay. Both breakfast and dinner were great. The room was clean. This is the first time I saw two pillows per person =D. Really felt like staying at a place that you already know. Also dini galle is placed in a calm area which is great. It's around 4km from galle fort (around 400LKR if you use pickme, around 600-700LKR if you use general tuk tuk)

Obviously water pressure =D. Other than that everything was great.

Clean, had everything we needed. Amazing hosts and fantastic breakfast

Its a bit far from the city but you can always get a tuk tuk for cheap

Accommodation was very clean and finally room with 2 pillows per person 😄 Host is very kind and he was helpful

Overall perfect

Very friendly hosts, lovely breakfast and comfortable room

Nice simple room with beautiful surroundings. Good location. Very nice breakfast and very nice staff. Nice soft bed!

Nothing

Great staff , comfortable bed and clean bathroom . Abit far from Galle town but getting a tuk tuk is no problem

Very nice owner, cooked me delicious meals. Nice balcony to read and relax, they took really good care of me. I can higly recommend this place.
