Bella Nilaveli Beach

Short walk to the beach and the hotel organised the pigeon island snorkelling. Great to grab dinner and drinks a short walk away on the beach. Pool was lovely and the breakfast was nice.

Amjee and Dashun and team looked after us really well. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The bungalow was very comfortable and we enjoyed the patio in front of the bungalow by the pool. Breakfast was included and was very tasty and dinner was avaliable if required.Ingredients were fresh and some of them were sourced from Bella Nilavli's garden. The beach was a two minute walk away.

We had a really great stay at Bella Nilaveli Hotel! The location is great, the price-performance ratio is super fair, and the overall vibe of the place is just super chill and relaxed. Also, the resident cats and dogs definitely added to the atmosphere ​The team there is exceptionally nice and helpful. They organized our activities around the hotel, and the snorkeling trip they set up for us was honestly fantastic! Also, big shoutout to the kitchen: the food is great, both the breakfast and everything we ordered off the à la carte menu. We also really dug the open-roof bathroom setup. Sure, an open bathroom comes with its natural disadvantages (you'll probably share it with a spider or insect here and there 😉), but we actually really liked the outdoor vibe. ​As for the room and amenities, they are fairly basic/serviceable and not necessarily luxury or outstanding, but they do the job just fine for a relaxed stay. ​Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a friendly, easygoing spot in Nilaveli!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr neu mit tollen Bungalows, sehr schön eingerichtet sowie mit Wasserkocher, Kaffee- und Teebeutel ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns hat die Unterkunft, der Pool und die gesamte Anlage mit dem Restaurant sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren dort 2 Übernachtungen vor unserem Rückflug nach Deutschland.

This was our favourite accommodation during our Sri Lanka trip - it is just lovely. Great location, beautiful beach, lovely pool. Loved our room with the spacious open air bathroom. Very comfortable. Amazing veggie garden and the most delicious food direct from the veggie garden - very impressive basil plants. We just loved it. Lovely staff and animals.

Lo mejor es que está a pie de playa, está limpio y las instalaciones son cómodas. La comida del restaurante está muy buena. El aire acondicionado funciona perfectamente y la mosquitera está en perfecto estado (importante en la zona ya que hace mucho calor y hay muchos bichos). Tienen varios perros y gatos a los que cuidan y son muy simpáticos.

Si tienes algún tipo de alergia alimentaria tienes que estar muy atento. Pese a que se lo dijimos en varias ocasiones continuaron poniéndome piña en las comidas (fruta, mermelada y zumos del desayuno, ensaladas, etc). El baño de nuestra habitación (Coconut) necesita una renovación.

La piscina e il giardino sono molto belli. La spiaggia da sogno di Nilaveli è brevissima distanza. La colazione è stata buona.

Purtroppo la camera dove noi abbiamo alloggiato ha avuto qualche aspetto negativa, soprattutto il bagno che richiede decisamente una sistemata. Trasaliva un forte odore di umido dal lavandino e dal wc che non rendeva piacevole l'accesso e costringeva a tenere chiusa la porta, aprendo la finestra del bagno (che non risolve di molto la situazione però) entrano insetti e zanzare. Non ci sono prodotti di base per la pulizia se no un sapone mani. No phone. La cena consumata nel ristorante è buona ma bisogna prenotarla già nel pomeriggio e durante la cena stessa se si vuole aggiungere qualcos'altro è difficile. Anna durante il nostro soggiorno non l'abbiamo incontrata.

Stanza tutto sommato pulita con aria condizionata e vicinissima alla spiaggia.

Ha bisogno di manutenzione, sopratutto il bagno dove c’era odore di fogna. C’erano anche molte mosche. Non hanno accesso diretto alla spiaggia, quindi non forniscono lettini.

Le cadre, le personnel très sympathique, la piscine, la nourriture. La chambre était propre.

Erg leuke locatie dicht bij het strand. Personeel is niet heel enthousiast, maar helpt wel gewoon heel goed, dus dat is prima.

Friendly staff who were extremely helpful with sorting snorkelling tours and taxis. Lovely place metres from the beach! We loved it here and would love to come back again soon!

El bungalow donde yo me alojé “coconut” el baño muy rústico pero muy limpio. Habitación muy espaciosa , cama muy cómoda. Todo el recinto está muy bien cuidado con un jardín muy agradable y encantador. Excelente y limpia piscina. Desayuno correcto y hecho al momento. Se respira buen ambiente y tranquilidad. A 50 metros de una playa magnífica dónde hay restaurantes, es una playa todavía bastante virgen . Este pequeño complejo tiene un aire rústico y sencillo pero con todas las comodidades. Personal muy amable y dispuesto a ayudarte en todo. No limpiaron la habitación en los 3 días que estuve aunque no sé si lo hacen bajo petición. Se puede comer y cenar a precios muy correctos. Lugar perfecto para pasar unos días de tranquilidad , sin bullicios.

Por decir algo, tal vez modernizar el baño del coconut 😊

Muy buen ambiente, la piscina y las instalaciones súper limpia, nuestra cabaña (coco) fue maravillosa, amplia con neverita para dejar el agua y frutas y una mosquitera en la cama. Ideal, a 2 minutos andando de la playa. Tomamos el tour a Pigion island con el hotel y lo recomiendo. El personal súper top, muy atentos.

Beautiful swimming pool and gardens. Comfortable room and bed. Not too far from the stunning beach. Helpful staff. Good Air Con. Hot water. Loved our outside bathroom showering under the palm trees.

The hotel is not as shown on the map. It is not immediately on the beach and there is another resort in front of it, this meant we arrived disappointed. The breakfast was ok but no choice. The evening meals very limited and not much else available in the area, remote location.

The staff were so friendly, rooms spacious and homely, pool area was perfect and the breakfast was tasty and filling. The nearby beach area was beautiful too, we loved our stay. Thank you❤️

Eine absolute Perle. Schöne Anlage mit vielen Blumen und Planzen und einem schönem Pool. Kurzer Weg zum traumhaften Strand. Sehr gutes Essen. Das Personal und der Chef sind authentisch und sehr hilfsbereit. Ich hoffe, dass es so bleibt wie es ist, weil es einen ganz besonderen Vibe hat! ❤️❤️ Dabei nicht klassisch touristisch.

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Nilaveli and can highly recommend it for families traveling in Sri Lanka. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and perfectly suited for families with children. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden area and the lovely pool, which was ideal for relaxing after our daily activities. The beach was only a short walk away and perfect for enjoying the calm atmosphere of Nilaveli. Breakfast every morning was excellent, fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the property was very welcoming and family-friendly. A fantastic place for families looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay near the beach.

Amazing location, great rooms, great food, staff were outstanding, a really great team. So close to a stunning beach as well. A real slice of paradise! Couldn't recommend enough to anyone visiting that area.

The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The location offered easy access to Nilaveli beach. The guesthouse itself felt very quiet and tranquil and the attention to detail in the design of the property made it feel very homely and beautiful. The breakfast was also delicious! The mixture of guests made it very family friendly, and also great for couples and solo travellers. The pool and other communal spaces lend themselves to meeting other people. We will definitely come again. 😊

I had a wonderful stay at Bella and it was made possible because of the amazing staff (especially Dasun), the beautiful environment and cozy room. I travelled as a female solo traveller and felt very safe and welcomed.

Overall we were disappointed. Property felt a bit run down, not very clean in the room and the bathroom had a broken tap and very poor shower pressure. The place is not as close to beachfront as we had thought - a walk down the lane to reach the beach and no sunbeds. Luckily the friendly hotel on the beach let us use theirs.

Breakfast was lovely, as mixture of Sri lankan and European. Rooms comfy, bed comfy with mozzie nets. Pool nice, but only able use it once because of renovations. Lovely staff. Lovely area. Laid back. Near beach. Gorgeous garden. Nice friendly pets as well.

Because of low numbers, the restaurant was not really able to offer much in the evening, but there was a nice restaurant 5 mins away on the beach. Renovating the pool, the other guests were Aussies and could swim like fish in the sea, but I could really have done with the pool, as I am less confident swimming in the sea these days.

Location, staff & food. Angi, Dasun & Shah ( apologies for any misspelling ) were wonderfully helpful & friendly. A great garden to supplement the food provided. Being a yoga teacher, their shala was fabulous for my morning practice 🪷🧘‍♀️

Un petit sachet de thé dans la chambre aurait été bienvenu comme dans beaucoup d’autres hôtel. La chambre sentait un peu le moisi surtout au début du séjour ( tout début de saison explique peut être cela)

The staff are wonderful! A huge thank you to the manager, Dasun (apologies if I've mistaken your name!), was incredible. We lost our car's smart key, and he spent the day helping us and organizing a solution- a million thank yous! Everyone working at Bella was friendly and working non-stop to keep the property clean. The food was great- particularly the breakfasts. Each morning brought a variation of a Sri Lankan-Western hybrid breakfast. The fresh juices, dal curry, and dosas were delicious! The location is fantastic- just a 1 minute walk to the beach. Although south of the main town, there were multiple restaurants/bars to choose from in the immediate area. The A/C in the room worked well and we always had hot water in the shower.

The wifi wasn't consistent in our cabin (we were in the Banana cabin).

Eine hübsche kleine Anlage mit schönen Garten und sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer sind groß mit Terrasse und Liegen. Der Pool ist das Herzstück, supersauber und groß genug, um schwimmen zu können. Das tolle Frühstück, bestehend aus landestypischen Angeboten, Obstplatte, Smoothie, Toast mit Marmelade und gutem Kaffee oder Tee, war sehr gut. Auch die Gerichte abends sind alle sehr lecker, hervorragend die "devilled" Gerichte! Das Team ist sehr freundlich. Zum fast menschenleeren Strand spaziert man in 1 Minute. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Het personeel denkt met je mee en regelt voor je als je wat wilt, het zwembad is fijn, de yoga is top en t bed ligt goed! En t is naast de zee! De curry is heerlijk!

Le patron est un peu bizarre mais heureusement il a une équipe en or ! C’était la basse saison donc la mer n’était pas praticable et la plage recouverte de plastique.

Ein kleines Juwel! Nur 8 separate Bungalows mit einer wunderschönen Außenanlage inkl. Großem Pool. Schön ruhig und nur 40m vom Strand entfernt. Unterkunft sehr sauber, AC leise und Service freundlich. Frühstück ebenfalls sehr gut.

Jammern auf extrem hohem Niveau: Kissen etwas hart und das Mückennetz wäre effektiver sofern es bis zum Boden reicht. Ansonsten sollte man sich informieren was die beste Reisezeit für die Ostküste ist, abhängig was man machen möchte.

Alt, vi boede 4 nætter i virkelig skøn, ren og rummelig 2 værelses lejlighed (ikke køkken men køleskab og spisestue) og stor balkon. Dejligt poolområde og kort afstand til den skønne strand. Placeret i roligt lokal samfund og tæt på krokodille søen. God morgenmad. Personalet var fantastisk og var med til at gøre opholdet specielt.

Der Strand ist fußläufig in 2 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war lecker! Frisches Obst, frischer Saft, Tee/Kaffee, etc.

Das wlan ist nicht immer so gut, hat uns persönlich nicht gestört.

Lo cerca que estaba de la playa, sus instalaciones con tanto jardín y piscina además de la posibilidad de reservar ciertas actividades con ellos mismos. Una de la actividades que más nos gustó fue el snorkel y sobre todo la persona que la impartía que fue genial , súper profesional y simpático.

The pool was great, the A/Cs in the room were very good and the rooms were spacious. Also the service is great the guys at reception were very helpful and kind!

They don't clean the room every day, they only asked us if we want clean towels. The breakfast wasn't as generous as in other places.

Le lieu est très sympa, notamment les extérieurs ou piscine et transat sont très agréables et bien entetenus . La localisation de l’hôtel est bien, malgré le fait qu’il soit légèrement au sud de la plage de Nilaveli, la plage restant accessible à pied en 5 minutes. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment top et change un peu tout les jours. Possibilité de déjeuner et dîner sur place, et la cuisine est vraiment sympa (même si parfois un peu chère) Possibilité de laver des affaires (services payant malgré qu’on ai donné notre propre lessive)

La sympathie du « gérant « sur courant alternatif, comme écrit dans certains avis. La comparaison fais mal quand on compare à l’extrême sympathie des hôtes rencontrés plus tôt dans le voyage, et cela denote beaucoup à notre avis. Paiement par carte annoncé par message sur booking, mais une fois arrivé au moment de payer il serait impossible de le faire. Étant resté 5 nuits, belles liasses de billets à sortir, heuresement anticipée mais pas très arrangeant sur le coup. Les chambres sont des sorte de bungalow. Ce qui peux être sympa sur le papier. Cependant ces derniers mériteraient un vrai rafraîchissement, notamment au niveau de la perméabilité avec les extérieurs. La salle de bain est extérieure (comme prévu certes) mais est assez peu pratique. Pas de lumière donc difficile d’y voir quelque chose après 18h ni de porte serviette. Nous avons demandé 1 jour avant notre départ de nettoyer la chambre et la salle de bain(qui étant extérieure, s’est très très vite salie), ce qui n’a jamais été fait. La chambre n’aura donc pas été lavée pendant 5 nuits.

Wir hatten das Zimmer Mango. Die Außenanlage ist sehr schön mit einem tollen Pool. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ansprechend, und auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Der Koch war freundlich. Die Lage zum Strand ist super, und der Strand selbst ist wunderschön.

Etwas schade war jedoch die Dusche, die dringend renoviert werden sollte, da sie verrostet und verschimmelt war. Außerdem wirkte der Manager eher etwas lustlos und desinteressiert.

Grundsätzlich war das Ressort gut gepflegt und sauber, die Zimmer waren auch sauber. Das Frühstück war gut, auch wenn auf Zusatzwünsche nicht annährend eingegangen wurde. Am Pool konnte man sich auch auf eine Liege legen und entspannen. Das Essen ist sehr gut, großes Lob an den Koch. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr gut, auch gut einstellbar wenn man es nicht so kalt haben möchte. Die schwarze Miez ist ganz toll und hat uns eine große Maus aus unserem Dachzwischenraum gefangen. Beste Katze im Ressort.

Wir müssen gestehen das wir schon enttäuscht waren von der Unterkunft. Auf den Bilder hier ist nicht ersichtlich das der Familienbungalow nicht einzeln ist, sondern mit einem zweiten Eingang zusammen unter einem Dach hat. Da fehlte es etwas an Privatsphäre. Wir hatten das Zimmer Jackfruit. Zwischen den beiden Eingängen war auch nichts was den Sichtbereich eingeschränkt hat. Der Blick in den Garten war ok, wir haben auf den Weg geschaut und links ein Beet. Im Außenbereich Bad war die blaue "Duschwanne" nicht sauber. Da an Tag 2 gereinigt werden sollte haben wir nichts erwähnt, es wurde aber nur geringfügig besser. Was uns richtig negativ aufgefallen ist und warum wir schon dafür 2 Punkte Abzug geben, ist die Stimmung des Personals, besonders vom Chef. Er hat teilweise "mir doch egal Mentalität" an den Tag gelegt. Seine Mitarbeiter nicht ganz so. Der freundlichste war der Koch. Den teils unfreundlichen Umgang konnten wir auch bei anderen Gästen beobachten die auch abgewunken haben. Die Krönung war dann eine Stunde vor der Abreise wo wir bezahlen wollten. Da hieß es wir sollten Bar bezahlen da das Kartengerät manchmal nicht funktioniert. Zusätzlich sollten wir noch eine Gebühr von 3% bezahlen wenn per Visa gezahlt wird. Das haben wir abgelehnt da es nirgends bei Booking stand. Grundlegend eine schöne Unterkunft. Der Pool war sauber, das Wasser nicht richtig klar. Ein Kabel, vermutlich Licht, an der Treppe hat ins Wasser rausgeragt, eine Hauptsicherung vom Pool ist Wind und Wetter ausgesetzt. Das sieht für mich als Fachmann gefährlich aus. Als ich es angesprochen habe wurde gesagt das das normal sei. Grundsätzlich ein schöner Pool. Wir hätten über viele Dinge hinweggesehen wenn das Personal, so wie wir es im Rest des schönen Landes wahrgenommen haben, auch so freundlich gewesen wäre. So ist die Bewertung noch gut ausgedrückt.

Uns hat der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Es war alles sehr sauber und das Frühstück war enorm lecker. Die Toll ist auch, dass es Moskitonetze über den Betten gibt. Der wunderschöne Strand von Nilaveli liegt nur 1 Minuten zu Fuß.

Aufgrund der Bilder kann der Eindruck entstehen, dass die Unterkunft Liegen am Strand anbietet. Dies ist aber nicht der Fall.

Der Strand ist sehr nahe und sehr schön. Das Frühstück und vor allem auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker! Wir hatten die Zimmer ueber dem Restaurant mit 2 Schlafzimmer und einem wunderschönen Balkonblick auf Palmen und das Meer

Struttura immersa nel verde a due passi dalla spiaggia. Ci siamo innamorati della stupenda piscina e degli animaletti padroni della struttura. È presente anche un orto personale che usano per poi cucinare. Il cibo era molto gustoso. Personale gentile e super disponibile. Consiglio vivamente di passare almeno una notte in questo hotel.

Der Pool und der Garten sind mega! Das Apartment war absolut top! Das Frühstück und das Essen sind sehr gut. Es war ein Traum dort für unsere Kinder (Pool, Poolspielzeug, Katzen, Strandnähe, sehr gute Pommes und sehr gute Shakes...)!

Etwas mehr Lachen der Angestellten und ab und zu eine Nachfrage, ob man noch etwas braucht (z.B. frische Handtücher, geputztes Zimmer).

Tereny zewnętrzne hotelu były bardzo ładne na plus wszechobecna zieleń i basen. W sypialni było czysto, śniadania były obfite, a personel miły. Bardzo blisko do morza, co było ogromnym plusem. Fajnie, że dostępne były kosze plażowe z ręcznikami.

Niestety ale łazienki są do totalnego remontu - prysznic jest w stanie tragicznym. Z kosmetyków dostępny był jedynie kiepskiej jakości płyn i mydło, więc musieliśmy zakupić własne kosmetyki. Brak dostępnej nawet jednej butelki wody pitnej, co powinno być priorytetem w takich miejscach. Mimo wszystko za tą cenę oczekuję troszkę wyższego standardu. Słabe WiFi.

El baño es mejorable tanto la ducha como el vater. Hay un tema de malos olores extraño.

On a adoré. Le jardin très verdoyant, la piscine, le logement plein de charme et sa proximité avec la plage. On remercie encore le Boss pour nous avoir offert son hospitalité et sa gentillesse. Voilà une adresse à garder précieusement dans sa poche pour y revenir. On était tellement tristes de partir !!

I was in the cabana and it was a great stay. Just be mindful that the room here the bed is very dark (even with lights on) and the way to the bathroom is not made for tall people a little bit dark
