Ajith war ein toller Host, der uns bereits bei der Hinfahrt zu seinem Haus eine tolle Sightseeing Route mit interessanten Stops gezeigt hat und uns dabei viele Erklärungen gegeben hat. Später hat er uns dann Tipps gegeben, was wir in Nuwara Eliya machen könnten, zB den Pekoe Trail. Die Kommunikation war super einfach, da Ajith sehr gut Englisch spricht. Jeden Morgen haben wir ein tolles, frisches und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück gehabt. Das Haus ist ein bisschen außerhalb des Stadtzentrums aber mit dem Tuk Tuk und der pickMe App ganz einfach zu erreichen. Wenn man ein authentisches Erlebnis haben will und Gastfreundschaft schätzt, dann ist das AGP Home genau richtig für einen :)

Todo el alojamiento era muy acogedor, desde la planta baja donde se disfruta del desayuno que preparan allí mismo, hasta la habitación perfectamente aclimatada y preparada con todo detalle. La familia es muy hospitalaria y a la hora de asesorarte para hacer planes por la zona se preocupan de verdad de que disfrutes de tu estancia allí. Mi pareja y yo pasamos solo una noche, pero sin duda volveremos para poder disfrutar más a fondo en este precioso lugar.

The owners is so welcoming, sweet and easy to talk to. They will try their best to make sure that you are happy. The room was good and we liked the shared kitchen facilities.

There is no heat in the house, which unfortunately made all our clothes and the bedding damp. They provide blankets, but even with four of them and sleeping with trousers and jacket, we were still freezing. Also, the toilet has a window, which cannot close. This is something you should know before going

Zeer gastvrije ontvangst door de host en zijn familie. Lieve behulpzame mensen, ook om goede dagplanning voor activiteiten af te stemmen. Host haalde ons op van de trein en heeft ons als gids een middag lang rond geleid langs theeplantages en een theefabriek voor een zeer schappelijke (lage) prijs. In de avond bracht hij ons met de auto naar het stadje (10 min met auto) en haalde ons later ook weer op. Ook regelde hij vervoer naar Horton Plains. Host neemt de tijd voor een praatje en wil het je echt naar de zin maken. We bevelen deze homestay zeker aan.

De las mejores experiencias que nos llevamos del viaje ha sido conocer a Ajith y a su familia. Desde el primer momento que contactamos con él nos hizo todo muy fácil, nos vino a buscar a nuestro anterior alojamiento y nos hizo una ruta explicándonos información muy interesante sobre Sri Lanka. El alojamiento estaba perfecto, nos proporcionaron todo lo que necesitábamos y nos prepararon un desayuno delicioso. En resumen, nos hizo vivir una experiencia muy auténtica y especial. No dudaría en ningún momento en volver a alojarme en AGP home!!!

Camere silenziose, pulite e colazione tradizionale. L’host e la moglie sono molto disponibili e aiutano non solo per indicazioni sul luogo, ma avendo avuto un piccolo problema di salute, si sono prodigati nell’aiutare.

We voelden ons gelijk welkom geheten met een kopje thee/koffie en gemberkoekjes. De eigenaren zijn heel gastvrij. Bovendien was geen vraag ze teveel: ze waren ongelooflijk behulpzaam en hielpen ons zelfs met het regelen van de treinreis naar Ella. Ook gaven ze veel tips voor activiteiten die we konden gaan doen en gaven ze verschillende ideeën afhankelijk van hoe het weer zou zijn. Heel persoonlijk allemaal. Een dikke 10, nogmaals bedankt.

De eigenaren kunnen hier natuurlijk niets aan doen haha maar houd rekening met klimaat als je naar Nuwara Eliya komt en neem een extra trui/jas mee. Het is echt een stuk kouder dan in de rest van het land. Gelukkig hebben ze extra dekens in de homestay!

Sobretodo la amabilidad de los propietarios. Son encantadores y muy serviciales. Estuvimos en la planta baja con un salon y dos habitaciones muy amplias. Los lavabos muy amplios y todo muy limpio. El desayuno muy completo y recien hecho.

Por comentar algo que queda muy retirado del centro, pero si vais con conductor esto no es ningún problema. Ademas puedes coger un tuk tuk. Pero vale la pena salir del centro de la ciudad.

Persone eccezionali. Ho avuto un problema dal punto di vista medico, si sono offerti di accompagnarmi gratuitamente ad un ospedale per fare degli esami, massima disponibilità. Inoltre colazione e cena top, ma quello che ci è piaciuto è stata la gentilezza e la qualità umana dei gestori. GRAZIE DI CUORE

De eigenaar en zijn gezin zijn super gastvrij. En de bedden met dubbeldikke dekbedden daardoor heerlijk geslapen in een rustige omgeving.

Super vriendelijke familie, heerlijk ontbijt, en ze doen alles voor je hoor om je verblijf zo fijn mogelijk te maken. Heel veel goeie tips gekregen: Pekoe trail, thee plantage bezoek. De gastheer spreekt heel erg goed Engels.

Een beetje ver van het centrum, we hadden helaas pech met het weer. Heel veel regen gehad. Daardoor werd alles klammig, maar ook daar hebben ze ons mee geholpen.

Fantastische familie die je echt laten voelen dat je welkom bent. Goede tips ontvangen voor in de omgeving. We hebben een stukje van de pekoe trail gelopen, echt gaaf.

Tout était parfait, la gentillesse des propriétaires, merci pour cet accueil chaleureux. De même pour le repas et le petit déjeuner, nous avons parfaitement bien mangé. Très belle vue du haut de l'appartement, belle vue, chambre très confortable un peu cocoon. L'étage privatif est très apprécié. C'etait top, merci.

Bellissima struttura a conduzione familiare, abbiamo anche cenato li ed la cena era vasta, economica e molto buona. Gli host sono stati carinissimi e abbiamo avuto una bellissima conversazione che ci ha fatto capire di più sulla societá srilankese. L'unico consiglio che do è di preparasi perché in quella zona fa freddo la notte, io ero un po' impreparata, magari per stare comodi un pantalone lungo un pochino pesante potrebbe essere utile.

Lo staff è molto gentile e cordiale, ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. La camera è modesta di dimensioni ed il bagno pulito. Avevamo a disposizione un intero soggiorno e cucina (un microonde, un lavandino e qualche piatto) comune con l'altra camera (in questa occasione vuota quindi gli spazi comuni erano solo nostri). Date le temperature fredde ci hanno fornito coperte extra per scaldarci il letto. Avevamo un pranzo da cucinarci e si sono offerti di farlo per noi in assenza di fornelli nella nostra zona.

La posizione è spostata dal centro ma facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. Nonostante fossimo in Sri Lanka abbiamo avuto veramente freddo la sera (12 gradi a metà luglio) ma dovevamo aspettarcelo a 1800m.

Unique hospitality. The owner picked us up at the railway station and served the most delicious dinner when we arrived. The day after he took us to a spectacular waterfall where we could swim. The house has everything you need and Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful town to cool down and go for small hikes.

Ajith ve eşi çok yardım severdi. Tesise uygulamadan tuc tuc gelmeyince kendimi aracı ile bize yardımcı oldu. Dönüşte de sorun yaşarsak aramamızı söyledi. Oda tamamen rustik bir şekilde dekore edilmişti. Bölge adanın en soğuk yeri olduğundan yatakta battaniye vardı ayrıca da yorgan bırakmışlardı. Sabah yerel kahvaltı denemek istediğimizi söyledik ve daha önce kaldığımız yerlere göre çok daha fazla çeşit vardı ve çok da lezzetliydi.Ellerinize sağlık. Bizi çok güzel ve çok sıcak ağırladılar.

Sadece banyo kapısını kapatmak biraz güçtü ve duş yaparken durduğunuz yerde degil diğer tarafta cam olduğundan banyonun içi maalesef ıslanıyor. Bizim kaldığımız odaya mı has bir durum bilemiyorum. Basit bir şekilde çözüleceğine eminim.

We had the best sleep ever at this property. Very comfortable beds with a clean and fresh cozy duvet. Bathroom was meticulously clean and the water was hot. String wifi and a spacious room with lovely furniture and a balcony. We also enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast! What made this property our favourite was the family and their generosity and kindness. You immediately feel at home from the moment you are welcomed at the gate and offered tea and ginger cookies. They went over and above to make our stay memorable.

Large, well-equipped and very comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Comfortable bed and nice hot shower. There is also a convenient communal area with chairs and a large table. Two very good restaurants within easy walking distance. The hostess prepared a wonderful breakfast and even cooked two excellent dinners for us. Our hosts were very incredibly friendly and attentive, helped us organize our tours (they even found us a Tuk-Tuk driver for our Horton Plains outing who had an outstanding knowledge of birds) and our host personally drove us to our next destination.

The balcony is large. A small table to complement the two chairs would have been a nice touch.

Notre hôte était incroyable. Il est venu nous chercher à notre précédent logement. Sur la route, il a pris le temps de nous expliquer plein de choses sur le Sri lanka et sur la culture du thé. Nous avons adoré ces échanges. Toujours disponible et aux petits soins, comme le reste de sa famille. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux.

Ajith et sa femme nous ont très bien accueillies dans leur maison qui était agréable et confortable. Ajith nous a proposé un tour jusqu'à une plantation de thé et, en chemin, nous a parfaitement décrit l'histoire de la ville ainsi que les pratiques locales (c'était extrêmement intéressant !). Un grand merci à Ajith et à sa famille !

Simply the best stay in Nuwara Eliya. We lived in a ground floor apartment with two bedrooms and a very comfortable shared space with tables and sofas. The kitchen was well equipped with microwave, toaster, kettle and other essentials. Starlink internet made this place truly special for remote work, very fast and reliable. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming. Honestly, I was impressed and very happy with everything. The only real regret that we only stayed for one day, because we would have gladly stayed longer.

The host family at AGP Home is truly incredible! We have never experienced such friendly, attentive, and kind hosts before. They provided us with countless tips about Nuwara Eliya, and on the day of our departure, the host even helped us at the train station to secure the correct tickets and seats—what amazing service! The accommodation is located a bit outside of town, but the bus only costs 60 rupees per person, and a tuk-tuk is also inexpensive. The deluxe double room was slightly smaller than expected and felt a bit old-fashioned, but it was absolutely sufficient. The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. The water in the shower could have been a bit warmer, but all in all, it was a very enjoyable stay—many thanks again!

Our experience at AGP Home (Nuwara Eliya) was excellent. Although we only stayed one night, it was more than enough to realize how incredible the service is. The host was incredibly helpful from the very beginning: he picked us up in Sigiriya in the morning, and we spent the whole day with him on the journey to Nuwara Eliya, passing through Kandy and making several stops to visit places and enjoy the scenery along the way. It was much more than just a transfer; it was practically a private tour. Once at the house, he, his wife, and their daughter were all lovely and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was comfortable and pleasant, perfect for relaxing. In short, a 10/10 experience for the hospitality, kindness, and service. Without a doubt, highly recommended.

Très agréable séjour, chambre confortable et propre. La salle de bain est propre également. Il fait plus frais dans cette région montagneuse, des couvertures sont à disposition. Très bon petit-déjeuner. Le propriétaire nous a conduit jusqu’à la gare et accompagné pour prendre nos billets de train. Ils sont tellement gentils et attentionnés. Nous sommes allés jusqu’à la cascade à pieds ce qui nous a permis de voir de magnifiques paysages et rejoindre ensuite le lac. (10kms en tout)

Nice room, clean and great bed. Super kind and helpful hosts too, a very enjoyable one night stay. We left early to catch train in Ambewela and the lovely Priya packed us a takeaway breakfast.

Location is a bit out of town so having your own transport is vital. Location is rural and charming.

Our stay at AGP Homestay in Nuwara Eliya was absolutely wonderful. The room was very clean, spacious, with a beautiful terrace and a brand-new modern bathroom. The property is located on a hill, offering stunning views of the town and the surrounding green hills that are so typical for this region. What truly makes this place exceptional are the hosts. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and take care of you almost like family. They happily recommended activities in the area, helped us plan trips, and even arranged transportation when needed. Breakfasts were simply royal – delicious, generous, and prepared with great care. On one occasion, when we had to leave early for a trip, the hosts even prepared a breakfast box for us to take along, which was such a thoughtful surprise. There is also filtered water and black tea available, which perfectly suits the cooler climate of Nuwara Eliya. The hosts are well prepared for the chilly evenings – the rooms have warm duvets, and they are always ready to provide extra blankets to make sure you feel comfortable. The whole place has a warm, homely atmosphere, and our stay here was one of those experiences we will remember for a long time. If you are looking for accommodation with breathtaking views, outstanding hospitality, and an authentic Sri Lankan touch, AGP Homestay is a place we can wholeheartedly recommend. 🌿✨

Wir kamen Nachmattags in der Unterkunft an und wurden mit Tee, Kaffee und Keksen begrüßt. Die Familie war super nett und zuvorkommend. Der Vermieter erklärte uns was wir alles in der Umgebung machen können und welche Wanderungen man kostenlos machen kann. Am ersten morgen sind wir zu Horton Plain gefahren, sodass es zu früh fürs Frühstück war. Als wir zurückkamen machen sie uns einen Brunch mit Hoppers, Naan Brot, Toast Marmelade, frischen Früchten und anderen Spezialitäten aus Sri Lanka. Das zweite Frühstück war genau so gut mit bisschen Variation. Wenn man eine Frage hatte oder Hilfe brauchte waren sie immer da und hilfsbereit. Es war der beste Aufenthalt den wir in Sri Lanka hatten.
