The ambience is good

My experience with the host, Rajeewa, was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I have had during my long years of travelling. After booking the property online, Rajeewa contacted me on WhatsApp. I had a few questions regarding my stay and the facilities, but despite seeing my messages, he did not respond until after I had checked in. When I arrived at the property, he asked whether I had arranged a jungle safari. I told him that since he had not responded to my WhatsApp messages, I had already made the booking online. He then asked how much I had paid and said that he could arrange it at a lower price. I politely told him that my safari was already booked. I also asked him about dinner. He said that there was no staff available that night and that perhaps he could arrange dinner the following night. Therefore, I went out for dinner. When I returned, I met him at the reception, where he also resides. During our brief conversation, I clearly told him that I would have dinner at his property the following evening. He then asked about my breakfast and lunch, and I explained that both were already included in my safari arrangements. My safari was scheduled to start at 6:00 AM the next morning. About 20 minutes before departure, Rajeewa came to me and said that my safari vehicle had arrived. I was completely surprised because I had already arranged and paid for my safari independently. When my own booked safari driver arrived around 10 minutes before 6:00 AM, I discovered that Rajeewa had also independently booked another safari for me without my confirmation or consent. I questioned him as to why he had done this. He replied that because he had offered me a competitive rate, he assumed that I had cancelled my original booking. I clearly explained that I had never confirmed his safari booking, nor had I told him that I wanted him to arrange one.

Sehr netter Besitzer, der sehr hilfsbereit ist. Es können Safaris organisiert werden (Udawalawe Nationalpark, sehr empfehlenswert, weil nicht so überlaufen wie Yala). Das Quartier liegt traumhaft als einzelne Appartmenthäuser in einem Palmengarten mit direktem Seezugang. Im See kann man baden (sehr erfrischend, keine Krokodile) oder mit einem Paddelboot fahren). Das Frühstück wird traditionell Sri-Lanka-Style serviert und in großer Menge. Das Quartier liegt schön ruhig, man kann aber trotzdem mit wenigen Schritten ins Zentrum gehen (z.B zur Elefanten Sanctuary)

Really nice owner

If I could’ve stayed here for weeks I would have! It doesn’t get much better! Perfect location, gorgeous views, incredible dinners/breakfasts with generous portions. The owner organised a safari for me, offered fishing for free including use of his boat, did laundry for free as well. There are only 3 huts so it’s incredibly secluded and a real escape.

Die Unterkunft / Anlage ist fantastisch -> liegt direkt am See, schwimmen im See ist möglich, dort gibt es keine Krokodile ;-) Auch ein Kanu ist vor Ort und kann ausgeliehen werden. Der Besitzer ist sehr sehr freundlich, hat auch eine Safari für uns organisiert, diese war wirklich super! Das Abendessen war mit das beste was wir auf Sri Lanka gegessen haben, die Köchin ist großartig. Es wird einem jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Gerne wieder, vielen Dank!

Prachtige locatie heerlijk bij een meertje ,heerlijk rustig de eigenaar was super aardig heeft me gelijk bij aankomt met ze motor naar een winkel gebracht om daar wat inkopen te doen ,hij regelde voor ons safari ,taxi en tuc tuc . En zijn zus heeft voor ons geweldige avond eten gemaakt en heerlijk ontbijt we waren met ze tweeën maar daar kon makkelijk vier man van eten ❤️. Wij waren zeer tevreden zeker voor de prijs die je betaald als we nu achteraf over nadenken hadden we daar makkelijk een week langer kunnen verblijven 😁

Vrij weinig eigenlijk, misschien zou makkelijker zijn als ze ook drinken zelf zouden verkopen omdat de winkel toch lastig te lopen is maar ja dat is misschien meer een idee dan een klacht 😉

We went to Udawalle for a safari. The owner organised it and it was fab. The owner/staff could not have been more helpful.. The setting was very idyllic.

it's much better than on photos. Spacious place to stay, air conditioned big family room, very very tasty breakfasts and dinner. I was sceptical to get a good service for this price, but it was exceeding my expectations - clean, AC, good wifi, very peaceful view, free kayaking, bikes. I wish to stay more! The owner organised safari for us for a very reasonable price (12K for a jeep of 4 people+tickets), helped to choose the right time to go - we went from 12 to 4 when it's not crowdy with jeeps and saw A LOT of elephants (40+ some in big groups) bathing, eating, mudding. Then 8+ crocodiles, then deers, mangooses, buffalos, wild pig, lots of birds. It was so good that we decided not to go to Yala safari in our trip later)) Highly recommend to everyone! thank you Rajeeva for your hospitality!

Der Gastgeber war sehr sehr freundlich und organisiert auf Anfrage auch die Safari. Das Essen (Frühstück + Abendessen) war super lecker, das beste das wir in Sri Lanka gegessen haben! Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

FANTASTYCZNY nocleg. Domki proste, czyste i wygodne. Właściciele przemili, a lokalizacja obiektu - idealna. Woda, leżaczki, kajak i rowery do dyspozycji gości i pyszne śniadania. Dodatkowo wykupione safari - świetne. Gospodarz polecał popołudniowe safari i to był strzał w 10. Kierowca jeździł bezpiecznie, nie pędził, opowiadał ciekawostki, ale nie przesadzał. Jeździł tylko po wyznaczonej drodze, wiedział gdzie się zatrzymywać i jak stanąć aby być w bezpiecznej odległości od słoni, ale mieć idealny widok na nie. Widzieliśmy 26 słoni (a tego samego dnia na porannym widziano zaledwie 2 dlatego faktycznie polecam godziny popołudniowe. Poza tym widzieliśmy dzikie bawoły, kilkaset sarenek i dzików, pawie, krokodyle, lisy, króliki... Dodatkowo jeepów nie było bardzo dużo. Większość czasu byliśmy sami, 10% czasu z jednym/dwoma innymi jeepami i dosłownie raz "w korku" przy małym, 6-miesięcznym słoniku. Bardzo polecam zarówno nocleg jak I Safari!

Lovely People. Best Value for Money. They arranged a nice safari for our family with kids. Owner was very nice, also showing the fruits in the garden to our kids and getting playing equipment for them. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it. Authentic dinner - very good!

Hosts very welcoming and available to help for anything needed. Free bikes and canoe available, big vegetarian breakfast. We came a little sick from our stomach and the host went to buy us some ginger beer, thank you 🙏🏼

Wspaniały pobyt w relaksującej okolicy. Bardzo zadbany obiekt, serdeczny gospodarz. Pomocny i pomagający zorganizować wszystko. Do tego genialna Kuchnia Nirosy i to połączenie uczyniło pobyt doskonałym!serdecznie polecam!

Wunderbarer Ort, ruhig und in paradiesischer Natur direkt am See. Für insgesamt 4000 LKR ein ausgiebiges Abendessen für zwei erhalten und Frühstück ohne Aufpreis. Wir hatten zudem eine tolle Safari Tour, bei der wir unvergessliche Momente erlebt haben. Wir haben zudem eine kleine private Führung durch den Garten bekommen, bei der wir Pfeffer, Banane, Jackfruit, Ananas, Kaffee und anderes bestaunen konnten. Wir würden den Aufenthalt in jedem Fall empfehlen!!

L'emplacement au bord du lac est exceptionnel, calme. L'accueil chaleureux des hôtes et leurs conseils. La nourriture copieuse et excellente : bravo à la cuisinière qui a toujours le sourire et aime faire plaisir. L'organisation du safari qui s'est très bien déroulé avec un super chauffeur-guide.

La disponibilité du personnel, le lac très agréable pour se baigner, le petit déjeuner et le dîner (à payer en plus), et la gentillesse de l'hôte (j'avais oublié un casque audio, il s'est démené pour me le faire parvenir via l'hôte de notre nouvel hôtel. Je recommande !

Coup de coeur de notre voyage, Yonan a organisé nos deux jours à Uda Walawe : safari, transferts, visite de temple… Bravo à sa femme qui nous a préparé le meilleur rice and curry du voyage ! L’endroit est magnifique, tres soigné et bien entretenu. Vélos et canoë à disposition sans frais. Incontournable si vous venez à Uda Walawe !!

Cet endroit est merveilleux pour le repos. Malgré l'absence d'eau, le lieu est magnifique et propice au calme.

Was von einer Reise noch lange bleibt, sind Erinnerungen an Begegnungen mit tollen Menschen, die hatten wir im Yonan River face. Wir haben uns komplett wohlgefühlt, der Ort ist ein kleines Paradies der Ruhe direkt am Fluss mit Möglichkeit zum paddeln, schwimmen, relaxen. Der Gastgeber und sein Team (Ehepaar) sind ganz tolle Menschen, die alles tun, dass es einem gut geht, und alles absolut unaufdringlich. Und was soll ich sagen das Essen ist fantastisch lecker, abwechslungsreich, üppig. Für uns bislang das beste Essen in Sri Lanka. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

Ein einzigartiger Ort, wunderschöner Garten mit verschiedenen Obstbäumen und Blick auf das Wasser. Absolut ein Ort zum Abschalten. Das Frühstück war reichlich und abwechslungsreich, Kaffee gab es zwischendurch gratis. Der Eigentümer war mit allem sehr hilfsbereit (Ausflüge, Tuktuk mieten, Internet ). Eine Safari haben wir auch über ihn gebucht, was ein wundervolles Erlebnis war! Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Good locations and views. Very good breakfast.

Highly recommended for a peaceful stay after back to back visit of the regions from Sigiri to Udalwalwe. The place is like dreamy. As we entered, we were so astonished by the beauty of the place. There are houses to stay surrounded by the lake. The owner and the workers were so friendly. The greeted us very warmly and prepared the dinner for us. The maid explained the dishes and its preparations while making the food. They made the Srilankan pancake for us. they made us the black tea and provided some biscuits. The property owner took us for a boat ride in the evening. The place were so safe. It was the off season we visited, hence only we were at the property. But still we feel safe and sound there. We enjoyed an amazing time near to the lake. It was raining too. During night, it looks so amazing with the lights all around. The were swings to rest and the beauty of the nature was so blended with it. They had a pet called Ruby for all the pet lovers. We truly felt like home and didnt feel like to leave the place. I think everyone should take a stay here during your Srilanka visit.

Beautiful, great value, nice staff, great safari

The bed was a bit stiff

I loved the location. Also, there is flowing clean water which is connected to a river. I got opportunity to swim there. The whole area was away from all the chaos, connected to nature. I loved my stay over there and happily extended one nore day to enjoy the scenic beauty. Also, the owner is quite friendly. It's a safe, and tranquil space for female solo travellers.

The service can be improved more.

We had a wonderful stay just minutes from Udawalawe National Park. The property has an incredible garden with unbeatable views of the river—truly a special place to relax and enjoy nature. The hospitality was outstanding. The hosts were warm and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Dinner was absolutely delicious—generous portions, maybe even too much food! The rooms are basic but more than sufficient, with hot water and good pressure. What really stands out are the common areas—beautifully designed and perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We were lucky enough to catch a stunning sunset, and with some luck, you can even spot wild elephants nearby. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The rooms were generally clean, though they could use a bit more attention to detail—just a little extra effort would make a big difference. We booked the safari through the property. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, which we really appreciated. However, the vehicle used for the safari was quite uncomfortable, especially considering the bumpy roads inside the national park. We saw other jeeps along the way that looked much more comfortable.

Yohan River is an oasis, beautiful cottages facing a beautiful little lake, with the sounds of dirds and peackoks, food is very good and plentiful, Yohan is an amazing host.

Really friendly hosts who helped to organise the safari, transport, recommended nearby sights to see (Sri Sankapala Rajamaha Viharaya) and served tasty food!

The property is near the lake in a quiet rural area. We have been travelling as a family and there is a lot of space for children to play. The owner is one of the friendliest persons we have meet on any of our travel’s. He helped us with safari organisation, gave us advices for sightseeing and helped us with further trip organisation.

The river is beautiful and the accommodation very clean and well equipt.

The place is a real paradise. Right along the water with a spacious outdoor area, a perfect place to relax and enjoy. The homemade food was really good and the owner did everything to make us comfortable and help. We could use the bicycles to ride to town, which was a real asset. The kayak was also there to use and it was beautiful to paddle around the lake. The cottages are equipped with air condition and spotless clean. It was the best accomodation I had in Sri Lanka. There was this sense of tranquility and archaic beauty about it, that made it really unique. We also booked the Safari with the owner and had a great time in the Udawalawe National Park with a very knowledgeable and helpful driver.

Lovely peaceful spot right on the water. We took the kayak out for a cruise in the morning and it was perfect. Great breakfast, friendly staff and a pretty comfy bed.

Stop searching and book this accommodation immediately!!!!!!!!!! Booking doesn't offer such a high rating as I would like to give for this accommodation. The owner gave us a presentation of everything he cultivates, and we had the opportunity to taste it. He allowed us to use the kayak, bicycles, and helped with renting scooter. Also he arranged safari tour for a good price. We stayed one night longer than planned because we didn't want to leave this magical place. Location, host, dinner, breakfast, everything was PERFECT.

Photos don’t lie! The best value ever. The place is just so beautiful, calm and relaxing. Lush green garden and private access to the lake. I would advise eating all your meals at this place, the food is different every time, you get sooo much food served and it tastes amazing! The host arranged a safari for us, he even gave us water, biscuits and bananas for the way. He is very kind and his sister is the best cook!

Dinner and breakfast were the best we had in Sri Lanka, the place is beautiful and peaceful, the owner was nice to us in every moment and the safari they organized was a great experience.

Lovely quiet location (apart form screaming peacocks but that’s magic! ) recently refurbished, with a great, helpful manager Rajeev. You can use the bikes and kayaks, so you have some options after the safari or if you arrive earlier in the day.

All was great really.

We were the first to stay after 4 months of maintenance, upkeep etc. which meant the site was in fantastic condition. Yonan exceeded every expectation of ours. Our chalet was large and well-maintained with a lovely little terrace overlooking the most spectacular setting. The river is lovely to paddle on using the free kayak, there are free bicycles to cycle into the local village and the breakfast is incredible. The host is one of the most generous and kind-hearted people we’ve met in Sri Lanka and could tell that he pours his heart and soul into his business. With only 3 chalets, there is a tranquil and intimate vibe - photos don’t do it justice! Such fantastic value for money

We had such a lovely stay at Yonan River Resort. Rajiva was so kind and helpful and the dinner and breakfast were both delicious. He also helped to organise a safari trip for us. Our room was comfortable with A/C, nice beds and hot showers and the location by the river was really beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

What a wonderful location! Such a beautiful scenery in between nature, so quiet and relaxing. The host is absolutely great, making both a delicious dinner and breakfast. Organised the safari and jeep for us and helped arranging a taxi to get to the accommodation. Spacious, modern room with great air-conditioning. We wish we could have stayed longer than one night!

Decent rooms and close to udawalawe.

Decent cabins and location close to udawalawe, but embarrassing treatment from the manager. I stayed for one night and joined another group who chose to book their safari through the recommendation of a friend (not with the hotel’s safari booking service). At first the manager said it was ok, but he was clearly annoyed, and then brutally kicked a dog. After the safari, he confronted us in a passive aggressive and angry manner, though it was very confusing with his broken english. He claimed to booking.com that we didn’t show up for the reservation, and refused to accept payment for our 1 night stay and dinner. We kept offering to pay but he refused, but then ridiculed us for “using his electricity” and insinuated that we were bad and cheap people. It was deeply uncomfortable and it was never communicated before that we were expected to use his safari; in all of my past hotels in Sri Lanka the proprietors offer you experiences but are respectful of you decline. I hope this man changes how he approaches this business because it is a shame. Good luck sir. Update: now that I have posted this review, he has tried to call and harass me, and has now sent me a message accusing me of not paying and calling me an “ugly woman.” Charming!

This Guesthouse took our breath away. Next to the river surrounded by beautiful nature we had the best two days here. You heare and see all kinds of animals passing by and can borrow one of the two boats for free to paddle over the River. When we arrived the host made us a delicious welcome fruit juice or on the other day got a fresh coconut for us from the tree. The huts you stay in are immaculate with everything you need and also a hot shower. The food we were lucky to enjoy in the evening was delicious and more then plenty the same applies for the breakfast. We had some great accommodations during our stay in Sri Lanka but this one really sticks out. It is just over all perfect. So don't look further and come here.

Bicycle use, good suggestions - very helpful host! Organised us a safari with Ruan which was great! Good meals, free water bottles - water filter setup would be better for less plastic waste.

The owner is very friendly, speaks good english and helped me with the jeep safari. Beautiful view on the lake during breakfast. And a lot of birds. There is bus stop nearby (ask the owner). And also a fun bar close to a small stream.

The place is.really amazing.The room nice and comfortable,.we enjoyed swimming and relaxing beside the river, the breakfast was excellent and the owner so kind and helpful.He arranged a safari for us which was amazing and gave us bicycles to go around..Wish we could stay more.

Everything about this place was fantastic! Very nice owner, who made sure we had a wonderful stay. Free bikes to use. Delicious breakfast! It's an excellent and peaceful location with a beautiful view of the river. The room was spacious and very clean. Would highly recommend staying here if you come to Udawalawe. HOW TO GET THERE: If you're coming by bus from Thanamalwila, insist the busdriver to stop at the busstop of Udawalawe Hydro Power Plant at the mainroad, it's a 30min walk from there. Otherwise the busdriver seems to drop off all tourists at the junction which is 4km away, collaborating with the tuktuks as you have no other option than to take an overpriced tuktuk. If you travel onward to Embilipitiya, the busstop is just a 5 min walk from the mainroad of the accomodation. Turn left and walk to the bridge. It's the starting point of the bus to Embilipitiya, where you can take another bus to the south/Tangalle.

This place is paradise. The host has created an Amazing garden, the „bungalows“ are well furnished and comfortable and the location is perfect for 2-3 nights or even longer. The owner made the most amazing dishes for breakfast and lunch- very delicious local specialties (we had banana flower relish for example as part of the breakfast). He also organised a wonderful tour at Udawalawe and took us to a non touristic mountain temple and the elephant orphanage and gave us fishing gear and Thanks for this memorable stay!

A quiet place away from the crowd, which we were looking for. The caretaker was hospitable and sincere.

Gorgeous location, can't ask more for a peaceful escape. Make use of the traditional kanoe for sunset. Home cooked dinner and breakfast was delicious. Very easy to arrange a safari, we had a great time with Sujee he gave so much information on the safari.

Really beautiful peaceful place directly on a nice lake where we even did a small Kanu Trip. Host was very friendly and helpful. We could wash our laundry and He prepared on our requests a pure vegetarian breakfast for us with a nice View on the Lake and romantic Sri Lankan music.

Everything. Room is super good, comfortable bed, good aircon, hot shower. The lake just in front of the houses, you can borrow the boat and even spot the monitor lizards ! Nothing really, but of course the property is next to lake and national park so there are bugs and mosquitoes around. Just as a tip, the 4h Safari in Udawalala is more than enough, after 10am all animals are gone looking for shade and you cant spot anything.

Everything. This is such amazing value for money. The location is stunning, right on the lakefront. We were able to bird watch via a kayak which you can borrow. The owner, Rajeewa, is such a friendly and kind man. He arranged a safari and a taxi to our next destination at a very fair price. He also gave advice for how to get to the elephant transit centre and even has some bicycles to use to make the short journey to the village centre. The room was perfect with good aircon and a hot shower. He can also cook a delicious dinner for a good price. We would advise everyone to stay if you have the chance.

We only stayed for one night!

The owner is incredibly helpful, kind and goes the extra mile. It's quite remote but he cooked us a lovely meal. Organised out safari and travel to out next location. Super scenic. Really peaceful

Great location directly at a lake where you can swim and close to the national parc. The owner is very nice and helpful in organizing stuff/trips and prepares very delicious breakfast. Best money-value accomodation we had on our trip, can 100% recommend!

If you are looking for a place close to Uda Walawe National Park, this is the place! You definitely should stay here. The place is very lovely and quiet, next to a beautiful lake. But above all the owner is such a nice and kind person. He will make you very comfortable and he will think of everything you need. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners he prepared for us. They were the best we had in Sri Lanka and all with local ingredients and products. So highly recommended!

The host was so kind, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are right by the river and it is quiet and serene. Rooms were clean and host greeted us with a fresh fruit drink and served us a lovely breakfast.

Due to the rooms being close to the river there were ants all over the room. However the host help us get rid of them and kept checking that we were satisfied.

Amazing stay. You have your own bungalow in a nature paradise in front of a beautiful lake. Room very clean, top A/C, hot water and good furnished. Host is the kindest person you will meet. He‘s doing everything for his guest’s, even preparing 2hours for an amazing breakfast. Our stay couldn’t be better. Thank you so much.

Yonan River Face Safari is one of the most unique places we have ever stayed, and will live a long time in our memories. The property itself is beautifully located next to the river (although as it is a river channel, it appears more like a lake) and amidst the jungle. It is a simple property, with two large cottages for guests and a covered seating/dining area by the water. The facilities are all clean and well-maintained, and Ruby the dog is very friendly and cute. For the scenic location alone, Yonan River Face would be a lovely place to stay whilst visiting Udawalawe for a safari. However, as so many reviews mention, it is the owner and host Rajewa that makes this place so special. He is an incredibly kind man who truly wishes to provide the very best for his guests. He helped us to arrange a safari with an excellent guide; provided us with bicycles to explore the surrounding area; let us pick pineapples from the garden; took us to a local temple site; and even invited us to help prepare and eat a meal with his friends and family to celebrate the New Year! We shared many stories and toasts of arrack, and it was a truly lovely travelling experience that made our holiday so much better. The food was absolutely tremendous. We stayed for 3 nights and ate dinner at the hotel every evening. Each meal was freshly prepared and allowed us to sample a huge range of cuisine, from traditional dishes such as daal, to more unusual ones like June plum in sweet barbecue sauce. Breakfast was similarly varied and excellent. If you are looking for somewhere to stay where you will be treated like an old friend, this is the place! It is also exceptionally good value for money.

There isn't much else around the property aside from a few bars a 10-minute cycle away. This creates a lovely sense of tranquility, but could be somewhat inconvenient. We would suggest stocking up on any essentials before arrival.

Beautiful,spacious property next to a lake with a wonderful host. Loved our cabin and the tasty meals. We organized a private safari to Udawalawe through the property and were extremely happy with our excursion.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yonan River Face Safari Resort, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the resort. Situated right in front of the lake, the views were simply breathtaking, and the peaceful ambiance of the surroundings made my stay all the more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The owner himself prepared breakfast and dinner for me, and it was some of the most delicious food I've ever tasted. He clearly has a talent for cooking, and the attention to detail put into every dish was remarkable. I was particularly impressed by his use of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, which added an extra dimension of flavor to the meals. But what really stood out about my stay was the owner himself. He is an incredibly kind and gracious person, and he went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He took the time to get to know me and my preferences, and he made sure that all my needs were met. His hospitality and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home, and I could tell that he genuinely cared about my well-being. In addition to his hospitality, the owner also organized a safari for me, which was one of the highlights of my trip. The pickup was right at the resort, which made things incredibly convenient, and the safari itself was simply amazing. The guide provided insightful commentary about the animals and their behavior, and I was able to see some truly remarkable sights. Overall, I had an amazing time at Yonan River Face Safari Resort, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The stunning location, delicious food, kind owner, and organized safari make this resort a must-visit destination.

super location! you are in the middle of the jungle, you have your own house, very clean, hot water, a/c and fan, water, fridge. plus there is a lake where we could swim, and you could do fishing. it was like you are in your own village. only 2 houses and huge territory! we liked being alone!!! the owner arranged safary, tgen taxi to Hiriketiya and in the afternoon offered us curd, very delicious. thank you a lot for hospitality! if we go again, sure will stat here. excellent accomidation with best prices!!!

Amazing place to chill and relax by the lake and have the amazing local food. You got a welcome drink and a lot of authentic food. Be aware since there is no network coverage, but the wifi is good. Enjoy chilling at the swing, doing yoga and kayaking in this private lake. The owner is an outstanding man, with a lot of passion and love to nature. Extremely recommended

We realy loved this place/ a thrue paradise I would recommand this place to everyone Perfect getaway... we had a lovely swim in the lake, were allowed to use the canoe We were surrounded by nature in all it's beauty The owner was very kind to us, he showed us around in the garden, helped us wherever he could, was very kind to our kid and arranged a wonderfull safari and trip to the elephant orphanage In total: we had a great time in this quiet peacefull paradise!

It's a very nice place to stay. At the lake, you can take a ride on the canue. The sound at night is priceless.

Food was amazing, best I've eaten out of 10 days in Sri Lanka! Location is right by river that's good for swimming and walking distance to ETH.
