We had a wonderful three night stay here along with my parents. It's a peaceful spot just outside of Ella and the staff will book you a tuktuk if needed. Highlights were two friendly mongoose on the terrace one morning and watching fireflies by night. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and even got us some avocado for breakfast when requested. The rooms were a good size, always had hot water and were lovely and clean.

Our driver struggled to get the van down the road as locals have built a recycling point and made the road tight at one point. This meant we preferred to use a tuktuk in the evening instead of navigating it in the dark.

We stayed at Wild Resort Ella for 3 days and it could not have been better! Close to the center but still slightly outside, we enjoyed incredible balcony views, silence and so much green while still being in buzzing Ella in no time! Kumara and the hotel staff are so lovely and helpful - they were always just a Whats App message away to help out with tips, organising rides or taking care of anything else needed. The hotel itself is lovely, clean and the pool is amazing - also the breakfast offered was delicious. Upon our leave (at 3 am), we even received a little food care package to take on the way! Thank you for everything, we would love to return!

Awesome service and super friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Fabulous peaceful location. Perfect contrast to hustle & bustle of Ella. But resort tuk tuk available any time to drop you in. Great size rooms. Extra duvets were a bonus. Super clean. Superb value as well.

Sehr idyllisch gelegen, etwas außerhalb des Trubels von Ella. Wir hatten die Häuser direkt am Pool, sehr gemütlich 😊. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr nett und hat für uns Fahrten zu einem fairen Preis organisiert.

Nichts, alles bestens! Ella selbst ist schon überlaufen, daher waren wir froh, etwas außerhalb zu sein.

We loved the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The chef Koumera was very good at his job and to this date, made the best hoppers we’ve tried in SL. The tuk tuk driver Menaka was awesome too where ever we wanted to go, he’d take us.

Firstly - the pool is tiny ( it’s clean though) and the pool area needs to be maintained. The hotel itself is very tired with areas not in use, making it feel like a bit abandoned. The rooms don’t get serviced- bins not emptied and no fresh towels. They could do better !

Fabulous wild location. View is lovely. Breakfast really good. Nice to be close to Ella but in a peaceful location. House Tuk Tuk which charged fair prices. Staff really lovely.

Heerlijk! Super mooie en comfortabele kamer die heel schoon was. We hadden een heerlijk groot bed! Begreep dat je ook wat oudere kamers had in het complex. Met de tuktuk was je in 5 minuten in het dorpje. De jongens willen je met alle liefde brengen en halen. Het zwembadje was klein maar fijn. Personeel was fantastisch!! Zo lief en behulpzaam!

In ons appartement op de bovenste verdieping had de douche niet zoveel druk.

La tranquilidad del entorno y la habitación estaba bien, amplia.

El acceso en coche complicado, demasiado alejado del centro (500 Rupias en tuktuk cada vez que quieras ir), la piscina pequeña y no tenías donde dejar las cosas o tumbarte (literal estabas pisando el porche de otra habitación para tener algo de espacio), el desayuno correcto pero simple para un hotel de este precio (que te pongan zumo de naranja de bote en un desayuno aquí me parece demencial), la ducha nada que ver con las fotos (un calentador simple que tampoco echaba agua muy caliente), sin secador, toallas de mano, sitio para dejar los cepillos de dientes… pues eso, está correcto pero nos tendría que haber costado la mitad… la verdad que un poco desencantada en general. Por ese mismo precio tienes sitios mucho mejores.

Prachtig uitzicht, zeer lieve mensen, mooie en schone kamers, erg leuke kookworkshop. Locatie is net wat onhandig qua lopen naar centrum maar ze willen je de hele tijd met de tuk-tuk brengen en halen en dan is het nog geen 5 min 😊

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber sauber und bietet alles, was man für ein paar Tage benötigt. Ella Town ist mit dem Tuk-Tuk oder Roller in etwa fünf Minuten bequem zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war sauber und auf Anfrage wurde uns ein Föhn zur Verfügung gestellt. Den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt, daher können wir ihn nicht bewerten. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Alle waren sehr bemüht, sodass wir uns während unseres Aufenthalts jederzeit wohlgefühlt haben. Wer eine einfache, saubere Unterkunft in guter Lage sucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Een fantastische plek! We verbleven in een gloednieuwe vierpersoonskamer met een prachtig uitzicht. De accommodatie ligt net buiten het drukke centrum, waardoor je kunt genieten van de rust, maar toch dichtbij alle voorzieningen bent. Het personeel was buitengewoon vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze stonden altijd klaar om ons met de tuktuk van en naar het centrum te brengen. Het zwembad is niet groot, maar ideaal om even af te koelen na een warme dag.

Fantastisk værelse med fantastisk udsigt. Fin service med hotellets egen tuktuk. Muligt at betale med kreditkort.

Wow. This was amazing. Location was perfect. Being in nature was so peaceful. The staff care so much as well. We were so blown away. Highly recommend staying here. It ticks all the boxes. We were in Sri Lanka for our honeymoon and they made so much effort. We were so grateful. Such a wonderful place to stay

De mensen waren zo lief voor ons en voor onze dochters. Ze brengen je overal heen en maken heerlijk eten. Verder was de accommodatie zelf erg nieuw, schoon en netjes. Tot nu toe de mooiste accommodatie waar wij zijn geweest in Sri Lanka.

Stunning hotel tucked away just outside of Ella centre, we had a chalet rooms stunning cosy elegant room perfect for a romantic couple, 1 family room in the main building, total contrast modern, large room stunning bathroom, amazing views. The beds are so comfy with beautiful crisp white cotton sheets The food was the best we had in 14 days travelling, this has been the standout hotel of ten trip, I will be returning for a longer stay

Prachtige plek vol in de natuur, op zeer korte afstand van de drukte van Ella. Onze kamer was gloednieuw, super groot (ook super grote badkamer). Balkon keek uit op theevelden en natuur, we hebben papegaaien, eekhoorns en aapjes gezien! Ontbijt was ruim, veel keuze en lekker. Hotell heeft eigen tuktuk (tegen kleine vergoeding) dus makkelijk naar de hoofdstraat te komen of excursies te doen (en als hij bezet is regelen ze een andere) taxi voor een verdere rit ook top geregeld. Zwembad is mooi en schoon alleen niet super groot en ligt dicht bij kamers van andere bewoners, wat het met een peuter wat lawaaierig maakte voor ander mensen.

Good value, great spot for nature lovers too

Very pleasant quiet stay in the jungle just a few minutes of the center. I would stay there again, if in Ella. Very good breakfast, nice swimming pool and nature everywhere around you. Hotel has a tuk-tuk for rides to the center. Excellent staff.

Very nice spot, 5min Tuktuk ride away from hectic Ella in the middle of lush green hills. Staff organizes transport to/from Ella for a very reasonable price! They are very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty. Room was small but clean. Highlight is definitely the pool overlooking the tea fields.

Staff were wonderful . Plunge pool overlooking rice pads and mountaintop monastery. The food was chef quality.

Heel fijn en mooi hotel met infinity pool. Je kijkt uit op de rijstvelden. Ontbijt erg lekker en mensen heel aardig en behulpzaam. De kamer was perfect. Airco en klamboe aanwezig. Ruime badkamer en een mooi groot balkon waar je heerlijk in de schaduw kan zitten en uitkijkt over de rijstvelden.

Het hotel ligt een stukje van het centrum af, waardoor je een tuktuk nodig hebt om er te komen. Je kan er ook naartoe lopen, maar dat vond ik zelf met een baby niet fijn.

Het was een heerlijk zwembad en het personeel was behulpzaam en vriendenlijk. Zij hebben ons ook voor een mooie prijs naar ons volgende hotel gebracht.

Ik vond de locatie helaas net te ver. Je bent een beetje verplicht alles met de tuktuk te doen. En helaas vond ik de kamer en bed vrij klein.

Brilliant stay at wild resort Ella! Kumara and Manera was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room and pool were lovely, the breakfast was delicious and the view and surrounding area is beautiful. We didn’t walk into town as it was quite far but the hotel has its own tuk tuk which we used numerous times across our stay, and was never a problem. Would definitely recommend and would come back if we are ever in Ella again!

Le rapport qualité prix n’est vraiment pas adapté pour le Sri Lanka 182e des deux nuits, petit-déjeuner non inclus, manque vraiment d’équipement : pas de shampooing ni de gel douche dans la douche, pas de serviette pour les mains… Tuk tuk 600 roupies pour aller dans le centre qui est à 5 minutes…. Nous avons déjà fait beaucoup d’hôtels au Sri Lanka, et c’est le premier aussi cher, et finalement celui avec le moins bon standing…

The peacefulness of the property. The views. The food. The staff. We enjoyed the fact it was slightly out of town because it was much quieter and way less hectic. We never had an issue with transport. The staff we super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely nothing!

The STAFF are amazing! My husband and I came with our 5 year old son and had a lovely experience. The staff are so helpful, breakfast was lovely and a great opportunity to try authentic Sri Lankan food. We had dinner here one evening too and that was also amazing. Pool was nice and very refreshing. Very quiet and relaxing.

Rooms are a little dated. Only two plug sockets actually worked in the whole room. Beds could be more comfortable as could pillows.

Het personeel was TOP! Uitzicht vanuit ons hutje was fantastisch en lekker om het zwembadje erbij te hebben. Heerlijk in de natuur en de rust. Ook een groot pluspunt was de tuktuk service van het hotel. Dat was super fijn!

Er worden nieuwe appartementen gebouwd bij het hotel dus dit verstoorde soms de rust. Maar ze waren elke dag op tijd klaar en begonnen ook niet al te vroeg.

Location ment difficulty getting tuk tuks into town by ourselves, but the staff assisted us multiple times which was such a great help.

Les propriétaires sont très sympathique, et la nourriture est bonne. Petit déjeuner copieux mais imposé (vous ne pouvez pas choisir ce que vous manger). Je trouve important de le dire, car lorsqu’on est un peu difficile, le petit déjeuner pourrait ne pas convenir.

Le prix est beaucoup trop élevé. La chambre est très très humide, le linge ne sèche pas, de l’eau coulait du plafond, et la salle de bain est à refaire totalement. Pas d’eau chaude et la pression est inexistante.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Ella, but within a short tuk tuk ride, we felt very relaxed here. The staff were so friendly and kind and the breakfast was incredible!

We loved our stay here. Kumara and the rest of the staff were fabulous. We will miss them. We took a cooking class at the hotel which was fantastic and they helped us organise our onward travels. Breakfast was so good and varied each day. Highly recommend this place.

It is just a few minutes tuk tuk from the main strip of Ella which suited us as less noisy and busy. Just a consideration for others but not a negative.

We had a great time at Wild Resort Ella. Kumara and the other boys were sooo friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the delicious food they made for us and the many conversations we had. We loved the house, pool and nature but the people working at this place are the best part! ❤️

Hele aardige mensen en een prachtig verblijf! Vanuit de infinity pool kijk je uit op een mooi stukje natuur met pauwen, mangoestes en eekhoorntjes. De kamers zijn heel mooi en luxe.

Klidná lokalita uprostřed džungle s výhledem na chrám na kopci. Velmi příjemní pracovníci. Obrovské a velmi chutné snídaně, možné mít evropskou nebo srí lanskou snídani. Hotelový tuk tuk k dispozici. Ubytování 20 min chůze od centra Elly.

Prima uitvalsbasis om Ella en omgeving te verkennen. We boekten een propere familiekamer met airco met uitzicht op het mooie landschap en ‘s avonds zie je de mooi verlichte Stoepa. Ze helpen je met transfers en tuktuk’s. Zo boekten we een uitstap naar de Pallewela waterval (paradijs!) en de tempel op de berg. Ze hielpen ons ook met taxi naar Arugam voor een correcte prijs. Er was een restaurant in aanbouw, dus ook meerwaarde als je ‘s avonds niet meer naar Ella centrum wil voor diner. Aanrader!

Det ligger super godt ift. ro og fred, udsigten er super god. Der er stadig ikke langt til Ella by men det er af små veje, som ligger på bjerg sider, så vi tog tuk-tuk derind, hvilket personalet var meget venlige til at hjælpe med at få bestilt.

Solsengen var meget hårde, og man skal være opmærksom på at busser og mange biler ikke kan komme ud af de små veje, så hvis man skal hentes til en udflugt, skal man nok gå et stykke selv, for at blive hentet.

I can think of nothing. Maybe there’s one thing you should be aware of is that it’s not so easy to get there, but definitely worth it!

Vi älskade lugnet som man på en gång fick här! Utsikten är magisk och alla som arbetade på hotellet var riktigt trevliga. Jag rekommenderar detta boende starkt om ni vill fly det stökiga i Ella Town och hitta lugnet. Frukosten var också riktigt bra!
