Riad Fez Mahal

Nos encantó todo sobre este Riad, al entrar es como encontrarse con un palacio. La atención de Omar fue increíble, incluso nos empacó el desayuno el último día ya que nos teníamos que ir muy temprano. Nos dio a escoger nuestra habitación ya que tenía varias disponibles y eso nos sorprendió mucho. Nos encantó la decoración y el techo de la habitación que escogimos y el baño era muy grande. El desayuno estuvo muy rico y la señora que nos atendió fue muy gentil. Omar nos dio una lista de qué hacer y ver en Fes y la seguimos al pie de la letra, no nos decepcionó.

Como cualquier Riad en la Medina, fue un poco complicado de conseguir, aún así Omar estuvo siempre en contacto con nosotros para ayudarnos a llegar.

This is a beautiful old Riad with plenty of character. Omar is always on hand to help with anything guests need. Location can initially feel a bit daunting being in the old medina but it is actually very easy to come and go, as it is just a couple of simple streets.

Thank you Omar for a lovely stay! This is a quiet haven in the bustling heart of Fes and I would definitely stay here again. Omar went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and enjoyed my stay.

Das Riad mit dem Innenhof und auch der Dachterasse ist einfach wunderschön. Sowohl der Vermieter als auch die Haushälterin waren extremst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück war äußerst lecker (frisch von der Haushälterin zubereitet).

Der Kühlschrank war nicht ein und wir haben es nicht mitbekommen somit ist uns leider etwas Essen schlecht geworden (aber vielleicht hätten wir ihn nur einstecken müssen 😅 oder er war kaputt, wissen wir jetzt nicht). Das Kinderbett war an einer Seite bisschen kaputt, war für uns überhaupt kein Problem, bei etwas älteren Kindern eventuell relevant. Aber alles in allem ist dieses Riad äußerst empfehlenswert und das ist wirklich Mangeln auf hohem Niveau.

Riad très bien placé, et très joli. La chambre était confortable et la literie était bonne. Le petit déjeuner était varié et copieux.

Foi muito difícil escolher uma acomodação em Fez, pois as opções são inúmeras. Mas não nos arrependemos. O Riad Fez Mahal é muito bonito, com capricho nos detalhes da decoração. Nosso quarto era amplo e confortável. Omar nos ajudou com várias dicas sobre pontos turísticos e restaurantes. Jantamos uma das noites no riad e estava tudo muito gostoso e farto. A localização é ótima, pois está dentro da medina, mas muito próximo da saída.

Nuestra estancia en el riad fue excelente. Desde el primer momento nos sentimos muy bien recibidos y cuidados. El desayuno estaba delicioso, preparado cada mañana por la trabajadora del riad con mucho esmero, y fue sin duda uno de los momentos más agradables del día. Queremos destacar especialmente la amabilidad y la atención del anfitrión Omar. Estuvo siempre pendiente de que todo fuera perfecto durante nuestra estancia. Nos dio muy buena información sobre Fez y se preocupó de ayudarnos con todo lo que necesitábamos. Además, coordinó tanto nuestra recogida como el traslado al aeropuerto, incluso teniendo que salir a las 4 de la madrugada, lo cual agradecimos muchísimo. Ese tipo de detalles marcan la diferencia. Sin duda, recomendamos este riad a cualquiera que visite Fez.

A wonderful two nights in Fes hosted by the kind and gentle Omar. The Riad is on a quiet side of the Medina with a beautiful outlook. We ate supper there both evenings - outstanding meals.

Wonderfully restored riad Modern facilities combined with traditional decorative elements. Tasteful breakfast served in a beautiful patio by an attentive diligent lady We were a family of two, staying in two different rooms. The suite on the first floor is spacious, and features an incredible ceiling Our cornered double room was airy with two windows facing a garden, the medina and the mountains. Small rooftop with interesting views. Easy to find in a residential area of the medina (with google map) but steps from a couple of top restaurants Omar, the property manager was discreet and really helpful .

We liked every bit of Riad Fez Mahal. Highly recommended Only be aware of a wrong location indicated by Apple Map.

Great location with everything within walking distance. The riad is calm, quiet and serene - with a beautiful courtyard. Omar is a great, helpful, friendly and generous host who supported us with e.g. local recommendations and airport transfer. Breakfast is amazing - offering everything you would need. The rooftop offers a spectacular view over the Medina. The room was spacious with a beautifully decorated ceiling. Thank you so much for a great stay!

L'emplacement central très facile pour découvrir la médina

Des bruits continuels d'aboiement de chien toute la nuit... Problème d'odeur très nauséabonde dans la salle de bain. Il y avait aussi une prise derrière le robinet de l'évier de la salle de bain que je trouve très dangereux. Pas de rangement dans la salle de bain pour poser les trousses de toilette et autres...

Very spacious rooms with extremely nice wooden ceilings and furniture. Great view of the city Medina from the upper floors. Rooms were clean and good breakfast served.

One of our rooms bathroom was smelling quite bad and the door was broken, could only be opened from outside. It was not fixed despite us reporting the issue and asking for it. We had to pay the trolley service (needed) extra, which we were expecting to be included given the price tag of this riad. Area is a bit shady, I am not sure if safe to walk in the dark.

A small alleyway in the middle of the Fes Medina leads to this stunningly beautiful riad. It feels like you have entered a palace. The woodwork and the zellige tile are genuine Moroccan craftwork. The breakfast served at 8:00 a.m. is great. Omar is always present and very helpful. He arranged for a small bag of laundry to be taken and returned on the same day which cost only MAD 40. Breakfast is served on the ground level and there is a beautiful, very spacious room also on the ground level if you don't like stairs. There is also a rooftop patio for the view. A kettle and small fridge is provided. Great shower. Complimentary tea on arrival.

Many hotels and riads have big quilts on the bed and even in cool weather, they're too hot. Thankfully there are blankets as well so we just removed the quilt. The downstairs room opens onto the courtyard so the windows are open to that noise but at night everything was quiet. It's quite easy to get lost in the Medina since it has a million alleyways. We had to use two map apps simultaneously to get around because they couldn't always pick up our position with high walls all around.

Staff e personale super disponibile e accogliente. Siamo arrivati la sera tardi e ci hanno spostato in una camera di livello superiore molto bella e spaziosa, davvero curata. La colazione è stata molto abbondante ed ottima, davvero varia. Raccomandiamo questo posto e le persone super gentili, disponibili ed accoglienti che hanno fatto del nostro soggiorno una favola!

Bagno purtroppo senza finestra, ma ci è piaciuto tutto, non ci sono altri aspetti negativi da segnalare per questa struttura!

Il nostro soggiorno è iniziato con una piacevole sorpresa: arrivati nel Riad, il proprietario della struttura ci ha proposto un upgrade della stanza gratuitamente in quanto aveva una stanza più grande libera e ci teneva che stessimo il più comodi possibile. Il personale è sempre venuto incontro alle nostre esigenze, come ad esempio la colazione da poter portare via avendo escursioni che richiedevano la partenza molto presto. Inoltre si sono resi anche disponibili per allungare il nostro check-out e permetterci di visitare la città in tranquillità anche l’ultimo giorno. Cene e colazioni di ottima qualità e abbondanti. Posizione comoda per visitare la Medina della città. Inoltre il proprietario del Riad ci ha suggerito una guida per la città che si è rivelata eccellente per vivere e conoscere al meglio ogni angolo della città. Consigliatissimo per chi volesse soggiornare a Fes!

The riad is such an oasis of quiet on the edge of the medina. The staff were super friendly, catering for my dietary needs (lactose intolerance) at breakfast. It's a lovely place to hang out in the middle of the day during the July heat. Close to nice restaurants and cafes. The roof terrace is a lovely space to relax!

Breakfast was great and accommodating of the time on our last day when we had to leave early. Very friendly and responsive staff (Omar) with great recommendation for a tour guide.

A beautiful calm little oasis in the Medina of Fes and just so thoughtfully laid out. The rooms are large and cool and a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Medina! Breakfasts lovely and the dinner was fabulous! Thank you to Omar and his team for a fabulous couple of days!

Like most places in Morocco there are many stairs, this is not a negative but advice to pack light luggage.

Peaceful, with a wonderful host and fantastic view over the Medina. This is our second time here and I will hopefully be coming back for a third.

Gorgeous place. Beds are super comfortable and it is centrally located to the Madina and nearby restaurants. Staff is SO nice and helpful. Great view from the bedroom. The AC/ heat worked amazing.

Shower didn’t drain well, not much common space. Didn’t feel like you could go relax at end of the day other than in your room unlike other Riad’s I have stayed in

Traditionally decorated hotel with comfortable bed, excellent shower, hairdryer and a good sized room. Breakfast was ok and the transfer service offered was very smooth and stress free. They kindly printed our boarding passes for us as well, which was appreciated.

Everything was perfect! The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and very well equipped with everything that we needed. The breakfast was very delicious!

This Riad is located into the Medina and it is furnished with typical Moroccan design allowing the guests to experience authentic traditions and feelings. His manager Omar took care of all of our needs and was highly hospitable with us

We loved this Riad and loved both the rooms we booked. One of them was a 3 person occupancy with a ccrib for child on the ground floor of the riad opening into the brekfast area and view. The other was a room with an attacked balcony and sweeping view of fez. Each room was well stocked with blankets, towels, toiletries etc and was very large for the price paid. We had dinner at the riad and the included breakfast the next day - both very exceptional and the dinner was probably one of the best we had in Morocco. The staff - Omar and the chef were very accommodating and helped with the food requirments and anything we needed for our child as well. The property itself was beautiful and we loved all the decor in the rooms and the courtyard. Perfect for a couple of nights of stay! Would highly recommend this riad in Fez.

Location is a bit hard to navigate and you definitely need porters if you have luggage which adds to cost. Would be great if the property could arrange this as part of stay

It’s a lovely place, beautiful design and comfortable bed. Good room size and good location. Easy to reach to restaurants and markets. Breakfast is lovely and good food. It would be if they can supply some fruits as well.

The shower doesn’t supply enough hot water for two people at the first night. I had a nearly cold shower, somehow the toilet is a bit smelly.

Nice riad in a great location and at a good price. There are many riads in Fes, and we were very happy with our location in comparison. Omar (the host) was very helpful e.g. with our suitcases. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was always friendly, and riad provided laundry service.

Our specific room (Fassia) was a little dark, but we saw that they have rooms that are brighter. Maybe we could have moved but we got used to it. To access the riad, you ring a bell and someone has to open the door - we would have much preferred a key, but there was no problem.

Beautiful traditional riad in a quiet area of old medina. Even if the riad is few minutes walk away from the shops, the area is quiet and feels safe in the evening. Very close to restaurants and you can easily get out of the medina in case you need to grab a taxi, explore the city or get to supermarkets. Large, comfortable and very clean room. Very good breakfast. We had hot water at any time of the day and didn't experience any bad smell from the sewage. The host, Omar, is great.

One of the best to stay in Fes. Well located, clean, comfortable. Rooms have a lovely view of Fes. Terrace also has a full view of Fes and its quite useable. Our host Omar was so very kind, attentive and helpful. Thank to him our stay in Fes got much more better. The kitchen of the hotel was also very delicious. I’d recommend to give it a try.

Quiet with great location

This was an amazing stay. Omar did everything to help us and make it as comfortable as possible. The riad is beautiful and very well located and the breakfast was very nice.

You come to the Riad from a small hallway in the medina and as soon as the door open you are transported into a beautiful building. The room was nice (the bathroom was very smelly though) and the view from our room and the terrace was outstanding. Breakfast was nice.

So many dogs barking. It was hard to sleep because they were going on all night. The bathroom was smelly like sewer and a bit unpleasant. Although plumbing is not the best in Morocco as a whole. Parking was on the street and when you show back up to get your car a local asked for money. A bit unexpected since it is technically free parking.

This Riad is a real gem in Fez. The Riad is beautiful and well taken care of, with an amazing roof-top terrace overlooking the entire city of Fez. The breakfasts were the best we had during our entire trip to Morocco. Most of all, the staff were simply amazing. Omar was very friendly and helpful, always available, even when we arrived late at night or checked-out early in the morning. Would recommend this Riad to everyone.

Omar is a wonderful, calm and helpful host and the staff serve a beautiful breakfast. We also requested a light dinner on the rooftop terrace, which was delicious. He also booked a hammam experience for us. The beds ( and pillows) are very comfortable .

Perfect location in the center of the medina, perfect size (small Riad), tastefully decorated rooms, quiet patio, a gorgeous rooftop terrace that can also be used for dinner (the food provided by the hotel was great) with a gorgeous view! The host Omar is super friendly, extremely competent and very helpful! We felt very comfortable! We would recommend the Riad without hesitation to anyone.

This place is the ultimate quality relatively to other Riads. The staffs are very polite, kind, helpful. They are our superheroes when we been there. Maximum elegance, clean, quality and as a pictures shows beautiful atmosphere. The rooms are full of authentic harmony in every details. Large enough and tidy. Worth of price, absolutely!

The yard is very beautiful and there is also a big and nice terrasse. Everything was clean and the staff was incredibly nice, kind and helpful. The food is great. We had a lovely stay.

The place is even better then in the photos. Riad is absolutely gorgeous, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Omar and his team do amazing job by paying attention to the smallest details of their guest needs. All the little service they do are priceless.

Need to remember to open the window in the bathroom for ventilation and then it's fine.
