Villa Gamini

Unser Zimmer im 2. OG war groß, hatte ein super bequemes Bett und wir hatten einen großen Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne . Im Ergeschoss war eine große Küche und auch ein Kühlschrank welcher genutzt werden konnte . Es stand sogar Kaffee , eine Kaffeemaschine und Zubehör zur Verfügung . Wir hatten 3 Tage gebucht , aber dann noch für weitere 2 Tage verlängert . Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war alles perfekt und total sauber.

Отличное расположение виллы до плажа и кафешек/ресторанов не далеко. Очень светлый номер, чисто, с горячей водой проблем не было, Доброжелательные хозяева.

Прекрасное месторасположение, всегда везде чисто и аккуратно. Тихо. Вечером и ночью вилла под охраной. На 1 этаже есть кухня и холодильник, где можно приготовить себе еду.

We spent 9 nights at Villa Gamini. It was great! Big room with a sea view. You can observe birds, bats, monkeys and squirrels from the balcony. Not far from the beach and quite. Big thanks to owners for helping with our trip. I highly recommend Villa Gamini. We are already ready to come again next year)))

Really clean property with exceptional staff! Location near beach and you can reach other two with walking or on Tuk-tuk. Wonderful views from windows.

We really liked the stay. It was end of season and not busy. The room (No. 12) was clean, power outlets near the beds. Even the switch for the fan. Mosquito net in front of the bathroom window. Nice balcony. Very friendly and welcoming host. Offered us a different room, due to a loud party in the neighbourhood. Can't tell about breakfast, since it was not included. Best stay so far in Sri Lanka.

Location was quite good, room and the whole place was extremely clean and tidy. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

No toiletries. Would have been good have had a bar of soap and some shampoo.

Villa Gamini was one of the best places we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The owners were very welcoming, the rooms were big and clean, beds very comfortable and the location was only a 5 minute walk from the main street. Would 100% recommend this place!

The first room did have noise from the AC. They offered a new one.

Exceptionally tranquil with a luscious garden and amazing hospitality from Gamini and his wife. The communal well organised kitchen area was an added bonus. Our room was super comfy and clean, overlooking the garden waking to the sound of the birds.

It is a lovely hotel set amongst greenery. I was given the room as requested. It was nice to have many windows and to listen to birds singing in the morning. The hotel is well organised like apartments with the kitchen and dedicated boxes for guests to store their items on the shelves and in the refrigerators. There’s a big dining area. Otherwise, it’s a 5 minutes walk to the Beach Road with lots of eateries.

Perfect Stay! The hotel was in an amazing location, just a 2-minute walk from the beach and city center. The host and staff were so kind and welcoming. Our room was big, with a large balcony, and the hotel was the cleanest we experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend!

We had a great room where we really felt like home. The staff, specifically the man, was lovely! Even drove us for free to the train-station the day we left.

Best stay in Sri Lanka! We really enjoyed our week with them. Perfect location - very quiet and easily walkable, but also quick tuk ride if needed. Kitchen is a big bonus and very well organized and maintained. Makes you feel safe and feel like home.

We stayed for 2 nights the room was spacious and had good air conditioning with a big balcony and lovely view. The owner was welcoming and informative, also gave us a lift back to the train station.

This is a lovely, peaceful accommodation with lovely garden. We loved the garden view from our room balcony. There is a big kitchen with all facilities you need to make food or tea/coffee. The host was very helpful and responsive. We had a great stay in this place and celebrate 2025 New Year’s Eve in Unawatuna. The place is a short lovely walk to beach and shops.

A little bit out of the way (maybe 15-20 minute walk to the beaches) but for this you get peace and quiet at night. Would be nice to have things like body wash etc provided in the room but not essential.

We have had a lovely stay at Gamini. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with lots of natural light, they bring you fresh towels and clean the room. The facilities are great, the communal kitchen is very useful. The owners have a lovely garden, the view from our balcony is beautiful and green, we’ve even seen humming birds feeding from the tree. The rooms are very modern and clean, there is a beautiful garden and the surroundings of the villa. The access to the common kitchen and fridge was a great bonus. The place is managed by a German lady, and one can immediately feel the western way of management of the property, this including the furnishings of the rooms and provided amenities (for example sufficient space to store or hang your clothes and towels, socket adapter, etc).

We are a big family with 3 kids. We loved the kitchen, it was great, fully equipped. Helped a lot to organize mornings and evenings with the kids. Quiet location, good walking distance to the turtle beach. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms. Overall the best and cleanest place during our full month of backpacking in Sri Lanka.

Definitely the best accommodation in Hikkaduwa. spacious and clean rooms flooded with natural light, kitchen with all facilities and cool lobby. The owners are very attentive, friendly, helpful and professional. Perfect.
