The room was spacious, the owners were very friendly and responsive, and the hotel was directly across the street from the beach. Additionally, the morning breakfast was a great time to meet the other guests.

La stanza era molto ampia e lo staff molto disponibile. La zona è veramente tranquilla e poco turistica. Per raggiungere la spiaggia occorre solo attraversare la strada e con pochi minuti di macchina si raggiungono le attrazioni principali della zona. Colazione semplice ma molto buona.

Super emplacement, l'appartement est cosy et très confortable. Le petit déjeuner était fantastique et un bon moment pour discuter avec nos hôtes et les autres voyageurs.

Arrivando stanchi all'aeroporto è comodo trovare questo alloggio a 10 minuti di auto, con il parcheggio lungo strada. La stanza è molto grande, e il letto è comodo. E' a due passi dal mare, per quanto la spiaggia di Pointe d'Esny non sia tra le migliori di Mauritius. E' anche a due passi dal molo per l'ile des Aigrettes e dalla spiaggia di Blue Bay, da cui partono le barche per un tuffo vicino alla barriera corallina

La struttura e i mobili sono vecchi, direi fatiscenti, e la pulizia approssimativa. Il corrimano delle scale esterne ci è rimasto letteralmente in mano, esponendo chiodi arrugginiti. Lo abbiamo appoggiato sul pianerottolo e lì è rimasto...e forse c'è ancora! La doccia non ha uno scaldabagno, ma un marchingegno ormai in disuso per motivi di sicurezza, costituito da una serpentina che dovrebbe scaldare l'acqua man mano che scorre. Ne scalderà forse mezzo litro, poi l'acqua scende sicuramente più fredda del mare sottostante... La Coastal Road, sulla quale si trova la struttura, come molte altre a Mauritius non è dotata di marciapiedi, ed è poco illuminata. E' un peccato perchè spostarsi a piedi è scomodo e un tantino pericoloso

They are very kind and welcoming, and I truly enjoyed my time in these apartments. 🍽 Breakfast: The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. 📍 Location: The location is very good, close to the beautiful Blue Bay beach, which is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the ocean. 🌴 Views: The views from the apartment are amazing — on one side you can see a lovely palm field, and on the other side the ocean. The only small thing is that it would be nice to have a few more shops nearby, but overall I was very happy with my stay. Thank you again to the hosts for such a pleasant experience. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for a wonderful stay!

La chambre est très spacieuse, agréable, traversante avec brasseur d’air et climatisation. Tous les équipements utiles sont présents. La maison est à 3min en voiture d’une baie avec départ de sortie bateau ainsi que de bons restaurants. Henri et sa femme sont adorables en plus d’être disponibles pour des conseils de tourisme. Rapport qualité/prix imbattable je recommande !

Route assez passante pour les plus sensibles au bruit prévoir boules quies, les mauriciens aiment la musique forte en voiture!

Gute Lage in der Nähe zu einem der beiden Zugänge zum Traumstrand. Der Strand ist perfekt für Schwimmer und Schnorchler. Sauberes Meer, Baden unabhängig von Ebbe und Flug möglich. Keine Verschmutzung bei Regenfällen. Strömung spürbar, aber ungefährlich, da nur seitwärts zum Strand. Busverbindung nach Mahébourg. Relativ nah zum Flughafen. Nette freundliche Gasgeber. Geräumiges sauberes Zimmer. Gutes Bett. Bad mit Dusche okay.

Balkon sehr klein und durch die Wärmestrahlung des heißen Blechdachs am Nachmittag/Abend fast nicht nutzbar. Minimale Ausstattung der Küche. Langweiliges Frühstück mit homöopathischen Mengen, vor allem an Obst, so dass man hungrig bleibt. Aufgrund des schwachen Frühstücks zu teuer.

Vétusté de la salle de bains et cuisine. Circulation assez importante et pas de double vitrage, donc bruyant. Piscine inutilisable à moitié vide, mais la plage a proximité compense et de très beaux poissons à voir en snorkelling. le prix compense ces lacunes.

Une heure avant notre arrivée à Maurice, Henri nous à laconiquement informé par mail qu’il ne pouvait pas nous recevoir pour les deux nuits à venir que nous avions réservées il y a quelques mois. Il ne nous à pas proposé de nous aider à trouver un hébergement de substitution. Motif: erreur de planning.... qui ne semble pas être un première...

Accueil et discussions agréables avec Henri, qui a vécu mille vies. Bien pratique comme base d’exploration de la côte sud (pont naturel, gris gris et surtout la plage de st Félix et du Morne.

Small B&B, one of the owners told us it has just three rooms for guests. Our room was huge and beautiful and had two balconies - we liked to call it the Val Kilmer room because of a painting on the wall… Lots of interesting woodworking and cool features all over the property. Bed was comfortable. Shower not the hottest or best, but it was fine. Great breakfast and convenient location close to the airport and walking distance to the public beach, on a quiet part of the island. Overall we really loved our stay at Chez Henri and would happily stay there again, highly recommend.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Man kommt schnell zum Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe. Wir können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Good location, clean room and the host really friendly

Le logement est bien placé près de la pointe d'Esny, de blue bay, de Mahébourg et de l'aéroport. Le logement est situé en partie supérieure de la maison. Belle architecture et beau jardin. La voiture ne peut pas rentrer dans la propriété et doit rester en bordure de route. Le logement est plutôt grand et sympa mais la salle de bain mérite des travaux de rafraîchissement. La propriétaire est très accueillante. Ce fut un plaisir d'échanger avec elle en dégustant un bon petit déjeuner.

La salle de bain et sa poubelle qui n'avait pas été vidée des précédents locataires. Sinon c'était une très bonne expérience.

I stayed only one night because of a long layover at the airport. This was the reason for choosing the location. Close enough to the airport, at the same time you can enjoy the wonderful smell and sound of the sea. The hosts are very friendly and sociable people. The breakfast is very modest, but acceptable for this money. There is a path nearby with access to the sea. A taxi from the airport cost 900 MUR and back 700 MUR. The atmosphere is very homely. The owner agreed to a later check-out for an additional fee.

The nearest cafe is two kilometers from the guest house, and it was completely occupied. It was not possible to have a dinner. I only managed to take pizza to go. The pizza is delicious, but the price is above average. Even the cafe at the airport is much cheaper. There was no bottle with drinking water in the room

We booked our accom via booking.com in January for April stay. I messaged the staff on the day via booking.com messaging to let them know we would be arriving about 5 pm. They replied saying they were booked out and there were no rooms. Asking us when we booked despite us communicating via the booking within booking.com. We had to find alternative accommodation after 5pm on the day.

Chez Henri was a great find! We booked last minute and they kindly were able to get a room made up for us. The photos don't really do it justice; it's a lovely unique home with beautiful features. The room is on the top floor and is light, airy and spacious, with a sofa and a little kitchen area so you don't have to drive somewhere for dinner. It's a nice area and the beach was blessedly quiet. In the morning I was able to walk there in a couple of minutes and have a lovely sunrise swim. Henri and his wife are very welcoming with a nice energy, and made us a perfect breakfast to enjoy on the terrace of their beautiful front garden. Max (lovely big hairy cuddly dog) was a highlight for me too 🥰

Location is great, only 3 minutes by foot to the beach where you can snorkel. Bus stoo Mahebourg/Blue Bay just in front of the house. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the room was nicely furnished and clean. The kitchenette was very basic but good to have. Balcony was very small but we liked the view to the fields. A/C worked well and the shower was hot and had good pressure.

Owned by a lovely couple, who make you feel at home and have lots of tips for things to do. The room was big and also had a small kitchenette, and a balcony with a view of the countryside. Breakfast was good and served looking over the garden. The beach is just over the road. Easier to stay here if you have a car but there are buses to Blue Bay and Mahébourg during the daytime. About 15 mins from the airport by car/taxi.

I don't write bad reviews, but I want to warn others. On the day of arrival, the host told me to cancel the reservation because there are no available rooms. Without any apology or attempt to help. We came to Mauritius without accommodation. Very bad experience. Reading the reviews now, I see that this has happened before. Watch out because it was a stressful experience!

Breakfast was good. The host was very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious. The roofing made too much noise when it rained. The shower drained too slow and the water wasn't always hot enough.

I dreaded walking up the stairs to the room. The stairs are too steep.

Great location in between the local charm of Mahebourg and the more touristique -- but still very charming -- blue bay. Easy access to the beach, beautiful water. Suit someone prepared to walk - or take a bus - or rent a car if you must!

Beautiful and clean room with view to the fields and close to the beach.

We felt very well welcomed and enjoyed our stay at Chez Henri. Room is great and has everything you need, breakfast is good, and the access to the beach is very easy and nearby. So definitely a recommendation to stay here some days to explore Point d'Esny and Blue Bay.

Supermarket and restaurants can be accessed by foot but we would recommend to rent a car to make your stay a bit more convenient (also for doing day-trips of course).

Henri and Majo are incredible and experienced hosts. They gave us many useful tipps and good advice. The room was big and very comfortable. The cooking area was small but had everything necessary to prepare easy meals. The bed was comfortable.

We were in the room with just one window (plus a smaller one with in the bathroom) and it did get really hot sometimes. Keeping the window open was not an option because of the mosquitos. Of course, the room had a functioning and new AC system, but I prefer always „natural air flow“, which was not always possible.

The room was so spacious and pretty with nice views , big mirrors and a mini balcony . The bed was really big and comfortable and the shower pressure was excellent . A stunning beach was 3 minutes walk away . The owner was very kind to accommodate me with late check out before my flight .

There were too many wasps around! which the owner can’t control but was impossible for me to cope with. The owner gave me insect spray right away to try and help .

Lovely b&b with the most helpful hosts. Quiet and beautiful surroundings, and a long beach just around the corner.

There are no restaurants nearby, so a car would be good. We didn't have a car, so we used the bus going from the front door to Blue Bay and Mahebourg every 15-30 minutes, but at night is stopped around 6pm.

I had a great welcome, the owner hosts we really lovely. Breakfast was just delicious.

The bed creaked and was very hard

We enjoyed every moment staying in Chez Henri. Both Henri and Majo are very happy, enthousiastic people and we felt very welcome and flexible from the moment we arrived. We could do what we wanted and Henri and Majo were always available to help and give recommendations. It's a simple and easy location which has everything you need and even though it's not located on the beach front, it's directly accessible to the beach. The Booking description is not completely up to date, there is WiFi and a little electric stove.

That we didn't book longer. The kitchenette facilities were good but basic, so for example we didn't have a kettle, but that's really it.

Great big room with a great location with friendly hosts . Thankyou Maya and Henri. You were very kind and helpful especially accommodating our late checkout. We will be sure to visit again and recommend to our friends. The beach is only a short walk and it was fabulous. Blue bay, we walked in 25 mins but there are regular buses and taxis. Having a small kitchenette was very useful also.

Not having more personal space. The balcony was very small but this is reflected in the price. We had no complaints at all.
