We had a wonderul stay. We felt so welcome since Brenda and Ron made it feel like coming home to family. The rooms were clean, tidy and modern. Also it has a sweet little pool and the service and care was great.

Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und man fühlt sich von der ersten Sekunde an willkommen und wohl. Die Zimmer haben alles was man braucht und die Umgebung ist ruhig aber auch alles in Fussnähe erreichbar. Der Garten ist wunderschön und auch der Pool ist ein grosses Plus

Super accueil de Ron et Brenda , aux petits soins , très sympathiques et support pour notre logistique pour le trajet vers l aéroport très tôt le matin , Ron s est même levé à 3h15 pour nous saluer en pleine nuit ! Le lieu est au calme , coquet , très propre et proche de l aéroport

Les serviettes de toilettes qui n épongent guère mais c est très personnel et le manque de débit de la douche mais je pense que c est le réseau d eau de la ville …

Comfortable, peaceful slow start to holiday. Just what you need with jet lag. Brenda and Ron are very helpful and ensure everything is perfect. Breakfast amazing.

Nous avons été bien accueillis par Ron et Brenda. Le petit déjeuner sri lankais était très bon et généreux. Chambre confortable et propreté irréprochable. La piscine était propre et nous étions contents de pouvoir en profiter.

C’est une résidence tenue par un couple d’anglais adorables. Le logement est extrêmement propre, les chambres confortables et les petits déjeuner très copieux.

Enorm gastvrij, goede plek om 2 nachten te overnachten na landing op Negombo enorm. Brenda en Ron zijn gezellige eigenaren die je het er erg naar je zin en comfortabel maken

Zeer verzorgde guesthouse, rustgevende tuin met zwembad. Kamers zeer netjes met goed werkende airco. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, je kon kiezen uit verschillende soorten. Ron en Brenda zijn zeer warme, hartelijke mensen. Altijd klaar met tips en hulp. Een absolute aanrader, als we ooit terug komen naar Sri Lanka komen we hier zeker terug!

Hosts were lovely. Ex british pats of some 20 years. Pool was great to have a cool down at the end of a hot day. Breakfast was really good. A big treat. Couldn't do enough to help our one day/one night visit on the way to fly out. Great spot to end our journey on.

Room was a on the smaller size but perfectly formed and very well decorated.

Brenda and Ron were really friendly and helpful hosts. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and the guesthouse was beautiful... we particularly enjoyed spending time in the garden/pool. Thank you so much for having us, and for arranging a driver for our next stop.

Great breakfast with a choice of Sri Lankan or English. Room was fantastic. Pool delightful. Brenda and Ron were accommodating to your needs with lots of information.

A family run guest house with only 4 rooms. The owners and staff were incredible as were the accomodation and the grounds.

Really nothing but if you had to list something it would be that is 450m to the shops, restaurants and beach.

We only stayed 1 night but would have liked to stay longer if our schedule allowed. The room was comfortable and everything provided to make for an enjoyable stay, the garden very tranquil and lovely as photos show with an inviting pool. Brenda and Ron were very helpful and gave us lots of information excellent hosts.

Das Guesthouse von Ron und Brenda ist liebevoll eingerichtet und verfügt über einen sehr schönen Garten. Die beiden sind äußerst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war vielseitig und sehr lecker. Ein perfekter, ruhiger Ort.

We werden heel erg leuk ontvangen door Ron en Brenda. Door hun droge Engelse humor werd de toon gelijk gezet. Wat heb ik daar gelachen! Het plekje niet ver van leuke restaurantjes (o.a. Sea View - zonder zeezicht, en Tusk) en strand is heerlijk rustig. Een prachtige tuin met fijn zwembad en diverse zitjes en ligbedden. Fijn om te relaxen. Wij hadden een ruime kamer op de 1e verdieping en een eigen badkamer op de gang. 's Morgens kon je kiezen uit diverse ontbijtmogelijkheden en wij kozen voor de Engelse versie, erg lekker. We waren daar 2 nachten en vertrokken na de 2e nacht vroeg richting vliegveld. Zij hadden een taxi voor ons geregeld. Ook bij het weggaan weer de nodige grapjes, dus met een grote glimlach de taxi in.

Brenda and Ron were lovely hosts and all the staff were friendly. The location was fabulous, close to cafes and shops and the beach. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The pool and calm garden surroundings were also certainly appreciated in the extreme heat and after an afternoon of exploring. We also appreciated the knowledge and help we got from the hosts when we needed it. A fab place to stay when we first arrived in Sri Lanka.

Lovely relaxing Guesthouse, Brenda & Ron organised transport from Airport. Breakfast was very enjoyable, room spacious & very clean, a tranquil property. The pool and grounds were a great way to relax and recover from long flight.

This is a beautiful place isituated in a quiet side street but just a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. It had lovely garden, pool, outside seating areas. The hosts were very friendly. They arranged a taxi to the airport for the following morning. It was a shame I couldn't stay longer.

We had a lovely stay at Ayubowan Guesthouse. Brenda and Ron were friendly and welcoming,and the room was clean and comfortable throughout our stay. The cold drink on arrival was much needed! The guesthouse has a pool area, although sadly we didn’t make use of this as we arrived early evening and it closes at 6.30pm,and a beautiful garden making it a really relaxing place to chill.It’s also in a great location,a 10-minute stroll to the beach and nearby restaurants which was very convenient. Although we left early for a flight and didn’t have breakfast, tea and coffee are available for guests to help themselves to at any time. One thing to note is that the property is cash only, but this is clearly stated in their policies so there are no surprises. Overall, it’s a peaceful,well-kept place with kind hosts and we’d happily stay again.🌴😊

We only stayed for one night before an early flight the next but felt very pampered. The room was very comfortable and the property is immaculate. Ron and Brenda really looked after us and we were very grateful for their advice on how early to leave for the airport. They organised a car for us and Ron got up early to wave us off. We swam in the pool and it was sparkling. We felt the position, close to the beach and restaurants but only 15-20 minutes from the airport, was perfect for us.

Ron & Brenda were lovely hosts - this was a great spot to start our Sri Lanka holiday. Ron organised a trip around the town and to the lagoon and booked our onward travel, Great breakfast.

Der Aufenthalt bei Brenda und Ron war wirklich sehr schön - wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Anlage ist wirklich besonders hübsch und auch unser Zimmer war gut. Das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend! Danke für die gute Organisation und den Aufenthalt!

Clean, hot showers, communal areas but nothing we hadn’t had at better priced places. Chose as thought paying more would be treat on last night of 21 days. Cannot see what we paid extra for.

Pool closes 18:30 - 08:00 “for chemical treatment and cleaning”. Tea & coffee is shared area, which was fine, but kettle put away from 08:00 - 13:00?! 1st time zero facility to store bags. Owners aware we had nighttime flight. Offered option for $30. Overall not a relaxing or welcoming atmosphere.

Die Inhaber des guesthouse sind so herzlich und hilfsbereit. Ich bin sehr begeistert. Auch die Unterkunft und der Garten sind sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Lage ist perfekt...ich will gerne wieder kommen.

I only stayed one night very briefly on arrival from the airport, leaving the following morning, however, the hosts were friendly and welcoming and recommended a great place for dinner. The Sri Lankan breakfast was enormous but good.

Tea/coffee facilities were on the upstairs landing rather than in your room - I like a cup of tea in bed in the morning before breakfast and it was a bit of a drag to have to get dressed and go upstairs to make it, but that's a minor issue and more to do with my habits...

Ron und Brenda, ein bezauberndes britisches Ehepaar führen mit ihrer fleißigen, freundlichen Staff dieses schöne, sehr gepflegte Guesthouse mit der gehörigen Portion Humor! Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, die Zimmer geräumig und sehr sauber! Auch die Organisation der Ausflüge hat wunderbar geklappt! Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen.

Very clean room. The best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka by far, nothing came close to Ayubowan Guesthouse after that. Probably ruined it for us for the rest of the trip.

A little oasis in Negombo! Brenda & Ron are the ultimate hosts- welcoming and very helpful with arranging excursions in the area. The property was immaculate and the Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious! Very well located with the beach, restaurants, and shops just a few steps away :-)

Wat een prachtige paradijselijk plekje in een rustig staatje. De tuin is erg mooi en netjes onderhouden en het fijne zwembad is heerlijk. De eigenaars zijn erg aardig en behulpzaam. De bedden zijn goed met een niet te hard matras en goede kussens. Het keuze ontbijt is zalig met goede koffie en vers fruit.

Hosts are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and arranged onward travel.. Close to the airport so was an ideal base to start exploring Sri Lanka. Clean, comfy rooms, great breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Ayubowan Guesthouse. The guesthouse is a small paradise in a quiet area. And ofcourse I have to point out the attentive care of the hosts.

Negombo is a great place to stay once you are off the plane as it is easily accessible and this private property is a gem. Hosts were welcoming and they have a beautiful garden with pool. Breakfast outside was outstanding offering a choice of continental options or local food which was freshly prepared and utterly scrumptious. Highly recommended

I’m happy to confirm other 5- star reviews! Brenda and Ron run a friendly and stylish guesthouse set in a beautiful garden with patios and a pool. Their breakfasts (choose between a European and a Sri Lankan one) are feasts! We wish we’d scheduled a longer stay with them.

What a lovely oasis inside the gate. Gardens are stunning with the pool. Nice covered patio area. Bedroom was small but adequate with air con and ensuite with walk in shower. Nice to offer cold drinks in a fridge for guests to buy. Lovely hosts from the UK originally and they have a lot of knowledge and contacts.

Water pressure a bit low in shower and very hot. No mini fridge in room or place to store own drinks.

Lovely well presented and exceptionally clean guest house . Swimming pool is very well maintained as are the gardens. Beautiful breakfast with lots of choice including Sri Lankan and full English. Delicious string hoppers and fresh fruit The hosts are very welcoming and helpful . They arranged a pick up from the airport and onward travel with a driver to Kandy . Short walk to the beach and town strip with lots of cafes and hotels

Absolutely top-notch: a tasting of Sri Lankan dishes, all full of flavour. A peaceful spot, just 5–10 minutes from the beach and restaurants.

Die Unterkunft war für den ersten Stop in Sri Lanka ideal! Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen von Brenda und Ron, die wirklich tolle Gastgeber sind und gerne etwas plaudern. Wir haben auch sehr tolles Frühstück bekommen und konnten hier aus einer sehr großen Auswahl wählen. Auch die Zimmer waren gemütlich und sehr sauber. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Brenda and Ron's accommodation is probably the cleanest and best maintained property that you'll see in Sri Lanka. It is decorated and set up like someone's home that they care about. You'll enjoy it They are friendly, helpful and available for you. The pool is great, nicest that we had and they had the first reliably hot showers that we found. There's is also an honesty fridge, free tea and coffee and a good breakfast. The rooms are well equipped and if you like a firm bed you'll be happy.

The room was quite close to the kitchen and as I'm a light sleeper I did get woken up very early due to preparation for breakfast. Not a problem for a heavier sleeper, or solved if you used ear plugs.

It's run by an expat English couple Ron and Brenda. The property is spotless and has a lovely garden and pool. Breakfast was top notch. Close to the airport.

This was one of our favourite overnight places to stay in Sri Lanka. It was like being in a perfect oasis of calm with a beautiful garden and pool. Breakfast was amazing and the room had everything we needed. The hosts were most helpful with local advice and bus options and we happily used their tuk tuk driver. We walked to the beach, found the atm and had a good local evening meal out. A really good start to our travels.

Immaculate property in every way. The personal attention and information from Brenda and Ron was first rate. Beautiful garden and pool to relax in. Recommended for an especially pleasant stay to explore sights of local area. Arranging breakfast or local rides Brenda and Ron went the extra to ensure our stay exceeded expectations.
