Das Zimmer ist gross und sauber und verfügt über ein gutes Mückennetz, Klimaanlage sowie Deckenvenitilator. Ebenefalls kann eine kleine Küche mit Kühlschrank benutzt werden. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation war sehr schnell und hilfreich. Ich konnte 10 Minuten nach der Buchung einchecken. Die Lage ist super, da es ruhig ist.

Etwas feuchter Geruch im Zimmer. Jedoch nach kurzem Lüften nicht mehr bemerkbar.

Struttura vicino al centro, nonostante la bassa stagione, è stato tutto perfetto. C’è la zanzariera per il letto, acqua calda ed è vicinissimo sia alla spiaggia sia ai ristoranti. Per qualsiasi problema i ragazzi sono super disponibili e rispondono subito…ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

메인 비치에서 가까운편이고 무엇보다 가격대비 훌륭했습니다. 에어컨 있는 방으로 했으며 에어컨 전기 와이파이 충분했어요. 모기나 다른 벌레는 없었는데 개미는 좀 있어요. 그리고 사장님이 굉장히 친절하고 요청사항을 바로바로 들어주었습니다. 아쉬운 건 근처에 식당이 별로없어서 메인로드로 나가야합니다

What a lovely stay! It was so close to the main town only 10 minute walk! The room was very clean and spacious with a spacious balcony also! The family were so kind and friendly!

I had a wonderful two-week stay at il mio mirissa. The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and the property's vibe was peaceful. The homestay is a short walk from the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants.

This is not the first time I've returned to this villa. The hosts are wonderful and accommodating. The location is perfect, close to the beach and the main street, but away from the noise. The rooms are clean and have fans or air conditioning, and there is a small kitchen on the first floor where you can prepare your breakfast. I feel right at home here.

Nous avions initialement réservé 7 nuits dans cet hôtel et nous nous y sommes sentis tellement bien que nous avons finalement prolongé notre séjour pour rester 11 jours. La chambre était très propre et confortable. L’emplacement est également un vrai plus, car l’hébergement se trouve près de la plage, ce qui est très agréable. Nous avons aussi pu louer des vélos sur place pour nous déplacer, ce qui est très pratique pour découvrir les environs. Il y a également une cuisine partagée avec les autres locataires, très fonctionnelle et bien équipée. Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour et nous recommandons cet hébergement sans hésiter.

Room was clean and comfortable....only 10 min walk to the beach. Room owner, Heshan was one of the most wonderful people we met in SriLanka. He arranged for whale watching at a very competitive price almost 20-30% lower than the price quoted by other boatsmen and he himself dropped us to the boat on his tuktuk. The room also comes with a shared kitchen with a refrigerator, cooking stove etc.,

Eine schöne preiswerte Unterkunft. Es war alles sauber und das Bett war sehr gemütlich. In der Küche kann man sein eigenes Essen zubereiten und auf der Terrasse, die Affen und Streifenhörnchen beobachten. Heshan war bei Fragen jederzeit erreichbar und hat für mich Touren organisiert. Es ist eine wirklich nette Familie und ich freue mich auf das nächste Mal.

Schöne einheimische Unterkunft. Ein sehr bequemes großes Bett. Zimmer war mit Ventilator ausgestattet und alles war sauber. In der Gemeinschaftsküche gibts alles was man braucht. Kühlschrank, Mixer, Wasserkocher, man kann kochen etc. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und waren jederzeit erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden wiederkommen 😃

Best room I had in my whole trip.

Stayed here while working remotely from Mirissa, and I must say, I made the right choice! The guesthouse has super reliable and fast internet, perfect for Google/Zoom calls, meetings, and all my work tasks—never had an issue even once. This spot is great for anyone looking to balance work and leisure. The neighbourhood is calm and quiet, so no noisy parties at night to disrupt sleep or productivity. Plus, the beach is just a short stroll away, with plenty of nice cafes nearby for a kopi break or tasty local dishes—definitely a bonus for me! A big shout-out to the host, Heshan—he’s an amazing guy, always helpful, full of good recommendations, and genuinely friendly. He made my stay feel relaxed and welcoming. If I plan another remote-work trip to Sri Lanka, I’ll definitely come back here, and I'm already recommending this guesthouse to my friends!

I was only there for one night. The room was very clean. Very friendly people there. I did not cook in the kitchen, but as I saw it, everything was sufficiently available. Very good value for money. I will definitely come back again.

Great value for money and the family who run this guesthouse are so accommodating. Heshan is such a lovely guy and he's so helpful and welcoming. They work very hard to ensure you have a good stay. He even brought me a king coconut and a bunch of bananas from the tree in his garden. On my last evening there I misplaced the key to my room and Heshan was so kind and even though it was late he went by scooter back to his home to get the spare key for me and the next day he allowed me to store my luggage in the room while it was cleaned for the next guests. The room is very large and had all you need, it's clean, comfortable and you have your own table and area on the outside terrace. The price is very reasonable for a nice budget stay in a good area which has lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and is off the busy main road. I fully recommend a stay at Il MiO.

Not a problem for me but the ceiling fan was a little noisy. However there is a separate plug in fan which is much quieter so you can position this at the bottom of the bed, to be on whilst you are in bed. And this one is much quieter. So as I said this didn't affect me at all.

Good budget hotel but the weather was so hot having fans and not air conditioning was a big downfall on my part. For the money u can't fault it if yr on a budget. Location excellent and they washed and dried our laundry

Perfect location, nearby many good restaurants and cafes. The room is clean and spacious. There is an additional table and chairs outside where you can chill out and e.g. observe monkeys. There is also a shared kitchen available. Guys from the hotel are really helpful and reply quickly to any request.

In the room with a window on the road there is quite noisy in the night.

Lovely location right next to the most amazing spa and 5 mins from Marisa beach and loads of lovely Restuarant’s. Room was big and spacious with mosquito nets over a canopy bed, I had two double beds in my room which was lovely. Water was hot which was needed as we got drenched by torrential rain a couple of times during our stay, only place I’ve managed to find hot water in all my stays in Sri LankaProperty felt secure and safe and was exceptionally clean.

All was great. There’s no food at the property so bit stuck for breakfast if getting up early for tours, not really necessary though if you can plan ahead and there is food prep area. No bins in room or toilet so nowhere to chuck rubbish but outside, may be deliberate to avoid bugs in rooms.

This was our second stay at this guesthouse, and we couldn’t be happier! The location is peaceful and quiet, yet everything you need is just a short walk away — small grocery stores, cafes, and a supermarket. The beach is only about a 10-minute walk, which makes it super convenient. What really stands out is the host - Heshan. He is incredibly attentive and kind. This time, our luggage was lost during the flight, and he went above and beyond to help us. He personally called the airport staff to sort everything out and even arranged a taxi for us to pick up the luggage when it was found. Such amazing hospitality is hard to come by! We also booked some tours through him, and they were fantastic. We went on a crocodile safari, snorkeling with turtles, and visited a spice garden. Everything was well-organized, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. If we ever return to Mirissa, there’s no question — we’ll definitely stay here again!

There was nothing bad

they tried to downgrade me to an inferior room than what I booked the first night and then they forced me to move to a dingy, dark room with dirty, stinking towels and linen the 2nd day. Then the owner with other people kept me up with loud talk up to 4am. I canceled the 30+ remaining days of my reservations. Stay away from this place.

The host was really helpful. I had a leg injury and he did everything to make our life easier. Nice big rooms and far from the noisy streets in Mirissa.

A great guesthouse in the middle of the jungle. You wake up to the singing of peacocks. Great location. Near the main road, cafes and shops. The central beach is 10 minutes away at a leisurely pace. The room was not very big, but there is everything you need, on the ground floor there is a kitchen where you can cook yourself. It's cozy at home. Thanks to the caring hosts.

I stayed at Il-Mio for a week and ended up extending my stay. For most of the time, I had the house to myself, and it was a peaceful experience. The host and his family were very polite and attentive. They don’t live in the house but visit daily to check in and make sure everything is taken care of. Anytime I had a request, the host responded quickly and was always helpful. The room on the first floor was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The ceiling fan and WiFi worked well, and there were no power outages during my stay. I was able to use the well-equipped kitchen and refrigerator downstairs. The house is located a bit away from the main road, which I appreciated for the tranquility. It’s surrounded by nature, so there are plenty of insects, frogs, and monkeys. It took a little time to adjust, but it became part of the experience. For those who love nature and more quiet, Il-Mio is a great place to stay at a very good price. I’d definitely consider coming back.

Location very central,the room and the bathroom was spacious.

I had booked a twin bedroom but when we got there,the owner told us he made a mistake in the bookings and he put us in a double bed room. It seemed like he didn't know we were coming. He put sheets and cleaned in 5 minutes while we were waiting. Also we had made arrangements with him about a driver,but it seemed like he was making the arrangements at the time we reminded him about our previous communication. The price went up and we ended up hiring another driver . The owner tried to fix the problem made, but the whole situation frustrated us.

Just spent 3 nights here with a friend. Great budget option, comfy room in a nice neighbourhood for everything in Mirissa but away from the chaos of the main road. Mozzie nets were a bonus and access to the shared kitchen was good too . Recommended.

The owner was helpful and installed an additional router after I said that I need good internet for remote work in my room. The kitchen and fridge was good to store and prepare some food.

The room was small and super hot, also at night. It was clean when I arrived but it was never cleaned within 5 days/4 nights. There were many mosquitos and especially a lot of ants all over the room, even though I made sure that there is no food inside the room. You have no possibility to really unpack because there is no place to put your things besides packing everything on a small table.

Great room. Clean, dry. The ceiling hairdryer worked well and it was not hot. Bed linen and towels are clean. There is a kitchen that you can use freely. We had our own bathroom with hot water. It's an 8-minute walk to the ocean and the supermarket. Kind owner, he helped us find a new taxi at night because our taxi didn't show up.

Overall, I'm happy with the stay. It's a fair trade for its money. The room is clean and comfortable with a big king size bed, the villa is very quiet, the location is great. It might seem a little bit too far to walk to the beach on foot, but if you have a bike, it wouldn't be a problem at all. The host is the best: very helpful and kind, he arranged my transfer to and from the airport and to Ella and back. Also it is possible to rent the bike from the host and the price is good.

From the room description, I got the idea that the kitchen would be inside the apartment, but in the reality, there was only one common kitchen in the building. That wasn't much of a problem as I barely used it; however, the description was unclear. Also, there were no closet and air conditioner in my room. It was fine for me not to have air conditioner (although it makes air much drier so that your clothes and towels can actually get dry), but the lack of a wardrobe was tough. And there were also no washing machine which again was a bit sad as I had stayed for a month. The room was okay for its price, but if I come back to Mirissa, I would stay somewhere else.

Absolutely everything. The room was big, comfy and with very few mosquitoes (and there’s a mosquito net). The fan is working perfectly and there’s hot water in the shower. The wifi is fast and ideal to do a bit of work. There’s a kitchen which is cleaned every morning (and it’s good cause some guests have 0 clue how to live in a community..) It’s away from the main road so super quiet at night, and the host is very nice and accommodating. It’s very close to some restaurants and shops and 8 min from the main road.

The neighbours - putting super loud music all day. But that’s nothing to do with the place, just bad luck 😌

My room was very nice, spacious even for practise yoga. With big window, tabel and the clothes rack. Really clean. Bed was comfortable. I stayed at 1st floor, so fresh air and no mosquitos.In front of my room there is a plant griwing on the balcony, so not direct sun coming in to my room, I slept without fan. There are small kitchen with all you needs. The host are kind and helpful, living nearby. For me very good quality for that price. Close to the restaurants and caffés and short walk to the beach, but away from the hustle. Can recommended.

Great the possibility of using the kitchen

Stayed at this guesthouse several times for a total of 3 months. I think this is one of the best options for comfortable rest and work. The house is located 7 minutes from the beach, close to the very popular turtle beach where you can snorkel and see huge sea turtles. Developed infrastructure, many shops and cafes, ten minutes walk there is a large supermarket. Separately, I note the incredible hospitality and friendliness of the hosts, any question, any difficulties were resolved instantly. When we arrived, the hosts met us and offered us a coconut, which was very useful after the road. Help with transfers, excursions, tips on interesting places and even help with health problems, all this was decided as soon as you write. Since we worked remotely, the Internet was very important to us. Therefore, as soon as there were small problems with the Internet, the owner immediately installed an additional router and everything was decided.

We loved the place and the host was just lovely!! Very clean, comfy beds, good internet connection, wooden tables in the room and on the terrace which suit me very well as a remote worker. Not too close to the beach, quiet neighborhood. We definitely will come again!:)

The property was walking distance from the beach and main road which had tons of cafe and eateries. The owner also helped us rent a scooty at a reasonable price. The property comes with a shared kitchen that you can use to cook your meals or use the cutlery or fridge for snacks.

Good hotel to stay in Mirissa. Comfortable room, big bed with mosquito net, friendly staff, great value for money. There is a well equipped kitchen for everybody. The hotel is closed to the restaurants and to the Mirissa beach. We recommend this hotel.
