A friend had recommended Dar Zemora to us, and now we know why. A small but beautiful hotel with truly personal service. A special mention for Youssef and all the staff who were all genuinely attentive and caring. Their pride in the hotel shone through. The whole property is so well looked after, especially the beautiful gardens.

Dar zemora is a beautiful hotel with incredible staff - Youssef and his team are all excellent, and Latifah is amazing at hammam and massage. This is our second time visiting and it was very relaxing and nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff.

I love everything about this very special home - elegant & private and a perfect contrast to the busy Medina which is easily accessible via taxi for eating out & exploring. The staff are incredibly attentive yet discrete, helping when necessary, in just the right friendly way at the right time. The grounds are beautiful with vegetable/fruit and a variety of areas to read, play games (boules/croquet) eat or relax, we especially enjoyed the clean & uncluttered swimming pool - just the right temperature.

It is difficult to find an area for improvement but perhaps some more locally sourced options for breakfast such as savoury things like 'Moroccan eggs" and roasted veg, but I felt that if I had wanted something it was just a question of asking!

Beautiful building and setting, an oasis of calm after a day at the medina. Wonderful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous pool.

Everything!!! The staff will go the extra mile for you, the property is absolutely beautiful and serene, our room (Perla suite) was super comfortable and had a huge terrace. Loved the stay!

Veldig hyggelig lite hotell med veldig fin have. Betjeningen var veldig service innstilt og hyggelig. Vi følte oss "hjemme" og ble veldig godt tatt vare på. Kan absolutt anbefales, kort vei til Marrakech Medina. Vi hadde rom med stor deilig terrasse. Oppvarmet og veldig fint svømmebasseng. Fantastisk sted, vi kommer gjerne tilbake. Hotellet serverte deilig middag om kvelden så det var ikke noe behov for å spise noe annet sted.

Savnet kaffemaskin på rommet. hadde vært deilig med en kaffe på den fine terrassen før frokost og i fred å ro på ettermiddagen før middag.

Last year, we said that we would come back, and recently we did. Youssef and his team provided everything to make it again a memorable and relaxing stay. We liked the various rooms and terraces, the pool and the garden and enjoyed the breakfast and outstanding dinners provided by an excellent service team with whom we had good conversations, for instance, Yessine and Ayyoub, be it English, French or even German. All in all outstanding.

Staff could not have been more attentive and thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble - from arranging taxis to and from the centre to finding a yoga mat when I had left mine at home my mistake. Gardens were gorgeous and it was such a delight to relax by the (heated) pool one afternoon.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans ce superbe hôtel isolé et intimiste. Le personnel est aux petits soins et à l'écoute de tous nos besoins. Le restaurant est excellent également. Un havre de paix loin du tumulte de la médina qui nous a ravi et permis de nous ressourcer durant quelques jours. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe ! Une adresse coup de cœur où nous aurons grand plaisir à revenir.

Un peu éloigné de la Médina, et la proposition de taxi van un peu cher.

Situé dans la Palmeraie, cette localisation en dehors du centre est appréciable pour son calme (15 mn en taxi). Cette maison d'hôtes (7 chambres) est un vrai ravissement avec des extérieurs magnifiques et en intérieur une décoration soignée que complète un confort permanent. Le tout est impeccablement propre et très bien entretenu. Notre chambre Mecina était de très belle taille, avec une salle de bain vraiment top et des wc séparés (rare et appréciable) La grande force de Dar Zemora réside dans l'accueil de Youssef et des personnes qui l'entourent ; le service est parfait, discret et vigilant au moindre de nos besoins. Les petits thés à la menthe autour de la piscine, le gouter avec toujours ce merveilleux gâteau ( j'ai bien essayé d'avoir la recette mais je n'y suis pas arrivée, quel dommage tellement ils étaient bons)... Besoin d'aide ou de conseil, Youssef est toujours présent, ce qui est rassurant et efficace. La belle piscine chauffée est grande, des transats l'entourent et le staff est toujours là pour vous trouver la place qu'il vous faut avec votre serviette et un rafraichissement. Pas loin il y a un terrain de croquet et de pétanque. A l'entrée un très beau potager et un spa (non testé) mais l'endroit est à la hauteur du reste. Les petits déjeuners sont complets et copieux, possibilité d'avoir un snack ou un petit menu le midi, le soir le diner est plus conséquent en 3 services et petites surprises. En ce qui nous concerne un séjour mémorable, nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce calme et cette élégance. Merci à tous

Het is  heerlijk vertoeven in dit prachtige kleinschalige boutique hotel. Bij aankomst word je hartelijk verwelkomd door de manager Youssef en zijn team waardoor je je dadelijk thuis voelt. Het hotel is prachtig gedecoreerd, de kamers zijn voorzien van alle comfort met bedden van goede kwaliteit. De tuin met het heerlijk zwembad is een oase van rust . Het ontbijt is voortreffelijk. Maar ook de lunch en het diner zijn aan te bevelen: smaakvol bereid en opgediend door de allervriendelijkste staf! Kortom, alles straalt luxe en geraffineerde klasse uit. Een echte aanrader !

A genuine bijoux hotel with delightful grounds and a spotlessly clean very good sized swimming pool and an exceptional spa. The service levels provided were personal, friendly and exceptional from every employee with whom we came into contact. They seemed to anticipate any possible need.

Breakfast was very good but we would have enjoyed the option of a cereal. Can't think of anything else.

Very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean. The staff were very attentive and very nice. . Sometimes we felt like we were the only ones there which was lovely.

This small boutique hotel is stunning and if you take the time to read about its relatively short history and ethos, you’ll understand why. The owners have gone to great lengths to create a haven of tranquillity and beauty, matched by the kindness and graciousness of its staff. It’s a 15 min taxi ride into town so easy to dip in and out of the city for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. There’s no menu as such for breakfast, lunch or dinner but you served with fresh and tasty food. No bar but you just need to ask the staff for a drink if you want one. So peaceful, would go back in a heartbeat.

We had the most wonderful stay at Dar Zemora. The property is absolutely stunning, it’s intimate and peaceful and the staff are outstanding - so attentive and keen to provide for every wish and whim.

Voyageant régulièrement au Maroc et connaissant bien le monde du tourisme et de la restauration, je peux dire que ce séjour a été l’un des plus marquants que j’ai vécus. Un lieu magique, une connexion à la nature, une architecture magnifique et le tout encadré par des personnes juste exceptionnelles. Un immense merci à Youssef, un professionnel passionné, discret, profondément humain, qui a su créer une équipe à son image : attentive, généreuse, souriante. Mention spéciale à Ayoub, un jeune homme d’un raffinement et d’une délicatesse rares, avec un vrai sens du détail. Et bien sûr, merci à toute l’équipe : Younes, Mahdi , Hannes ainsi qu’à tous ceux que nous n’avons pas forcément vus, mais dont le travail a rendu ce séjour parfait, du petits déjeuners au dîner à la propreté de notre chambre. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we felt like being in paradise. It is a beautiful house on immaculate grounds, both being extremely well equipped and maintained. But the best of it all was the superb yet discreet service by Youssef and his team…always extremely friendly. Food was very good, breakfast, lunch and dinner - but also the „little extras“ such as water and mint tea&cake at the pool. We also enjoyed the opportunity of a private transport to the medina, coordinated by Youssef. Fixed price, excellent A/C vans and extremely friendly, English speaking drivers…this way you can easily combine the exciting hustle and bustle of the Medina with a relaxed stay at the quiet extended grounds at the Palmeraie.

Beautiful rooms, a stunning pool area, croquet lawn, boule area and spa treatments all in an oasis of peace and quiet outside the centre of Marrakesh. The staff were all charming and so attentive and go out of their way to look after you or help you. The food was interesting and delicious. I highly recommend staying here if you love bird life beautiful immaculate gardens and peace. I shall definitely be returning as do many other guests. I took my 87 yr old mother and she has asked to go back already!! Thank you

Heaven. So peaceful and beautiful. The grounds are wonderful and it was a delight to see baby tortoises, tiny kittens and a huge array of birds. The staff have the great combination of being attentive but relaxed and the food was excellent. The interiors are gorgeous -the perfect balance of traditional Moroccan with a sort of mid century glamour -the place feels like it’s been there for well over its 20 years. Authentic and beautiful -no gimmicks or novelty value (or any sort of ‘instagram’ feeling, thank God!). In short, a very special place with integrity. 10/10. Oh! And the Hammam and massage were incredible!

It was my second time in Dar Zemora. I love everything about it- location, wonderful rooms, hanmam, swimming pool. But above all- truly special staff! Every single person working there is wonderful- always smiling, available and ready to make all your wishes come true.

It’s a beautiful and quiet hotel. The staff is amazing, food is delicious and our room was very spacious and beautiful. It’s located 20 min from the city but if you want to be away from the city and enjoy the nature and peace, this is the right place for you.

Amazing gem in a middle of a beautiful garden. Boutique hotel with just 7 rooms suites, which makes you feel like you are at home away from home. All staff very friendly and attentive, yet fully respecting your privacy. We hope to visit again.

It would have been nice to have a fridge and a kettle in the room. The bed in our room is quite high making it quite cumbersome to get in.

We loved everything about the property. The decoration was authentically Moroccan and there were nice touches everywhere such as our room having an open fire which was lit on a cold afternoon.

This is such a special spot and I’ve never stayed anywhere that felt so much like a luxury boutique hotel but also like home. The staff were kind and attentive and gentle. The gardens are stunning. The food was great. From the hand-painted vaulted roof in the bathroom to the fresh flowers in the rooms to the pride with which the dinner is presented, everything was a complete dream and better than we could possibly have expected. We travelled with our 11-month old and everyone was so accommodating. A huge thank you to the staff for making our stay so lovely.

Absolutely amazing. Like no place we have stayed before. The staff were gentle and attentive, the building and gardens were beautiful and immaculate, the food was delicious. It was exactly what we needed and a very special place.

The Riad was beautiful, it literally felt like we had gone back in time. All the staff were excellent and in particular Youssef who took care of absolutely everything including organising a fantastic tagine cooking experience at La Maison Arabe & booking our YSL Museum & Majorelle Garden tickets on his own personal credit card ahead of our arrival as I was struggling to book them from our previous desert stay location. Youssef was a true gentleman, nothing was too much & he made our stay special in every way! Afternoon tea & pastries by the pool were really wonderful!

Everything was 100% wonderful and so this is our only very small negative comment, but we didn´t enjoy the dinner at all. We only had dinner once, so perhaps unfair to judge based on just one meal, however in our opinion too much effort was put into trying to make a fine dining experience & unfortunately the food wasn't really up to a fine dining standard! It would have been better to serve food that was more local & traditional to Morocco at a high standard, rather than trying to create something that probably wasn´t very natural to the chef! Breakfast was lovely, although personally we would have preferred the local yoghurt, rather than flavoured yoghurts, although this is NOT a criticism, the breakfast was delicious & especially the poached eggs!

The grounds are stunning making it the perfect place to relax in, whilst only being a short drive away from the city centre. The staff are so kind and friendly that you're put completely at ease.

Absolute bliss, a paradise literally. The stuff was fantastic , the food was incredible, and the cook catered for our vegan diet beautifully and creatively. The pool was amazing , the whole place is lush, tasteful and incredibly quiet as well. We will definitely go back. Thanks Youssef for your hospitality !

As the building has been constructed in typical Moroccan style everything about this 7 suite boutique Dar oozed class and sophistication. All be it the Dar is out of town, a private taxi ride is only 15 minutes from the center of Marrakesh and is arranged by the management and at a sensible charge. Lunch and or dinner is cooked freshly each day with a lot of the produce coming from the private vegetable/herb garden and is absolutely fabulous.

The only comment that I would make is "keep up the good work and exceptionally high standards".

The team at Dar Zemora are superb and made our stay one to remember. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they made us feel totally at home and at ease. When you go through the doors into the grounds it is like entering an oasis. This may not be for everyone but they go the extra mile to consider the environment by removing plastic where they can and they use as much produce grown on the property as they can (freshly squeezed orange juice was a real hit at breakfast).

Hard to say anything here apart from we weren't that happy when we had to leave.

The property is beautiful, from the comfortable beautifully appointed bedrooms to the different lounges and dining areas. The pool and gardens are also beautiful. All the staff were very warm and friendly but very discreet. Yousef was wonderful and so helpful with booking things to do and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble

Absolutely nothing to dislike

The house and setting is beautiful and so serene! And the staff are absolutely first class. I’ve never felt so relaxed sitting by the pool or on any one of the countless corners of the house to sit peacefully and escape from the world. The gardens are beautiful, carefully maintained by the friendliest gardeners, and I loved trawling the grounds looking for tortoises and all the beautiful flowers, fruit and vegetables growing. From the moment you arrive to the second you leave, you’re looked after constantly where nothing is too much trouble - not that you want for much else when you arrive at Dar Zemora!

Superb service, beautiful property, secluded with large manicured grounds and a lovely pool. Dining was excellent. It’s slightly outside or downtown Marrakech (that’s the point), so great from getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We did both and this was the ‘relaxing’ weekend part of our stay before flying home.

This is a great little hotel. You genuinely get a personal service. Room rate is expensive for Morocco but it's definitely worth it. They do not rip you off for food/drinks like other high end hotels. They will organise taxis and whatever you want for you. Easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at.

Too far from Medina requiring 20 min trip each way. Very late dining hour of 20.30. The decor is dark and gloomy but faithful to Moroccan style, apparently. All chairs are far too low, there is nowhere comfortable to sit, we had to bring chairs in from the terrace to our room in order to sit comfortably. At these prices I would like to sit on a chair that is higher than a cushion on the floor. There is a tipping policy which is ridiculous in this day and age. The staff are charming and helpful, possibly because of this. If you are without transport you are stuck and at the mercy of very high taxi charges- 25 euros aller retour.

I think this was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The garden setting is beautiful, there is a lovely pool and the hotel itself is exceptional. We found the staff to be kind and friendly and nothing was too much. There was a very relaxed serene feel about the hotel but ran with high efficiency. We will definitely be back.
