I had a very relaxing stay. The room is great and there is a beautiful garden. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They helped me book a safari and cooked a delicious dinner

Es un apartamento que lo lleva una familia y son muy agradables. La habitacion y el baño era grandes y muy nuevo todo.

Al no poder abrir las puertas ni las ventanas al ducharse se queda la humedad en la habitacion y puede hacer calor. La ubicacion no es tan mala, caminando a 5 minutos por carretera llegas al pueblo para poder comer.

Una experiencia de 10 de principio a fin. Todo estaba perfecto, limpio, cuidado y con muchísimo encanto. Pero, sin duda, lo mejor fue la familia que lleva el alojamiento. Desde el primer momento nos hicieron sentir como en casa, con un trato cercano, súper amable y siempre pendientes de que no nos faltara nada. Nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos y fueron encantadores con nosotros durante toda la estancia. De esos sitios que te da pena dejar. 100% recomendable. Si volvemos a Yala, repetiremos sin ninguna duda.

Everything about the property is fantastic and exceeded my expectations! The host family is extremely welcoming and generous, my room was huge with a good fan and mosquito net, the bathroom modern with a nice shower…great lighting even, which was honestly so nice after a week of flouro lighting in all my accommodation…. Breakfast was gigantic, I couldn’t eat it all but a nice opportunity to try different Sri Lankan foods. I was especially grateful when their son explained how to eat certain things, which made for a nicer experience. The location was stunning- on the rice fields surrounded by tried and native plants. Easy walk to town.

Ho prenotato una camera e mi è stata data un’altra molto diversa e non troppo carina. Il Safari prenotato da loro sarebbe dovuto finire alle 12 (o quanto meno così mi era stato detto) ma è terminato alle 10.30. Non siamo riusciti ad usufruire della colazione (causa Safari) e a differenza di altre strutture non ci hanno nemmeno proposto di portarcela via. Il posto è carino ma speravo di meglio.

We couldn't enjoy Yala Safari without our brilliant guide and driver, Kasun. His exceptional knowledge of the park and animals brought us to see countless animals include leopard, alligator, elephants, monkey, national birds etc. Even other drivers stopby and ask his advice during the tour, we fully enjoyed our time thanks to Kasun.

Todo! La habitación espectacular, baño limpio, cama comodísima y en general todo muy limpio. El personal ha sido súper amable con nosotros y nos organizó el safari con un guía excepcional. El desayuno y la cena muy rica, cocina ceilandesa casera. Recomiendo mucho este sitio!

Nuestra estancia, considerando calidad/precio fue de 10. La familia nos organizó el safari de Yala y fueron muy hospitalarios en todo momento. Las vistas al campo son espectaculares.

Lo único que podría resaltar es que si quieres aire acondicionado debes pagar un plus, que tampoco me parece raro considerando el precio que pagas por la estancia y que la habitación dispone ya de ventilador de techo.

La habitación estaba limpia y además fresca porque ya nos recibieron con el aire encendido, lo cual agradecimos mucho. Nos organizaron el safari ellos mismos y incluso nos permitieron cambiarlo de la tarde a la mañana siguiente porque llegamos un poco más tarde de lo previsto. ¡Nos encantó! Además nos recomendaron sitios a los que ir (como ver el vuelo de murciélagos al atardecer) y lo disfrutamos muchísimo. El servicio fue excelente.

We had the most lovely stay at V Cabanas. Beautiful property, spacious room and beautiful surroundings! View on the beautiful ricefields. It was ideal. Very warm, kind and helpful hosts. We had also a great experience with the safari booked via the host. Highly recommend this place!

La struttura è meravigliosa, inserita in un contesto verde che dà su un campo di riso. La stanza molto grande così come il bagno. Finalmente una doccia calda senza il riscaldatore esterno e con una buona pressione dell'acqua. Il phon ci è stato fornito sotto richiesta. Per il prezzo pagato è super consigliato!

Leggermente spostato dal centro ma proprio per questo un ambiente molto tranquillo.

Amazing owners, they were lovely. The facilities are really good for the price and it’s located near beautiful rice fields. They arranged our Safari tour at Yala with Kasun - who was an incredible guide, his expertise made us see leopards early in the morning! Would recommend this accommodation to anyone interested in doing Yala Safari

The place is beautiful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature. It offers great value for money. The rooms are surrounded by lush green paddy fields and plenty of trees, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The best part was the food. The caretaker's family prepared dinner and breakfast for us (at an additional cost), and it was absolutely worth every penny. The food was delicious and gave us an authentic Sri Lankan dining experience for both dinner and breakfast 😋😋.

Really nice stay, rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean. The outside area was also lovely, overlooking rice fields and was a great place to chill after our safari. The staff were also very kind and helpful.

There is no AC (which we knew upon booking so not the hosts fault) and the fan is powerful but the room got very hot at night.

we loved our stay here for 1 night before doing the yala safari. The family organised everything for us including taxi from hiriketiya and to ella the following day! They can also organise the safari which was great :) the room itself was clean, comfortable and spacious. The family made us a delicious dinner for just 1800 rupees each. We would definitely recommend and wish we could have stayed longer it was so peaceful - thank you for your amazing hospitality!

Could only pay by cash The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, making it difficult and time-consuming to shower. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and did not work properly. Additionally, the room shown in the booking photos included air conditioning, so I did not realize that I had selected a fan-only room. As a result, we were charged extra to use the air conditioning that the room had and when we did, it was very noisy and disruptive. It is the first time I’ve been charged to use the air conditioning

Vi bookede opholdet, da vi skulle på safari i yala national park. Vi bookede safari igennem dem og det var den mest fantastiske tur. Vi så 4 leoparder, utallige elefanter og krokodiller. Vi kunne ikke have en bedre safari. Det var den sødeste familie der ejede stedet. Fantastisk service. Aftensmaden og morgenmaden var fantastisk. Værelset var stort og rummeligt. Klar anbefaling hvis man skal på safari i Yala

Wunderschöne Umgebung mit gepflegtem Garten. Toll zum Draussensitzen. Wir haben sogar Kokosnüsse aus dem Garten bekommen und Fruchsäfte. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Vue sur les rizieres imprenable depuis votre chambre. Ideal pour visiter tissa et faire un safari le lendemain. À 20 min a pied du lac et du temple principal. Personnel tres professionel et disponible.

Staff were lovely and helpful! In a good location and an ATM nearby. Good air conditioning and rooms were spacious with lots of plugs. Did a safari through the hotel- saw a variety of animals.

La camera era stupenda, in generale il posto era bello e pulito. La famiglia ospitante è gentilissima e super disponibile a soddisfare le richieste. Hanno organizzato il safari velocemente con ritiro presso la struttura.

Spectacular location, beautiful hotel and surrounds, and exceptionally lovely, friendly and helpful staff - Adhi and his family. Fantastic room and terrace, awesome breakfasts! 7 hour Safari was very enjoyable coming close up with elephants, monkey, crocodiles and numerous exotic birds.

Las vistas son increíbles, el staff es super atento, Adhi que es el que se encarga de todo es un muy buen chico, super amable simpático y se encarga de que estés cómoda y contenta con todo, me organizo el safari, me ayudo con el ticket de bus hacia Colombo, me llevo a la parada y se espero conmigo a que venga el bus, sinceramente un 15/10!!! Su mamá es muy amable también, sus desayunos son exquisitos y super completos, me enseñó el desayuno de allí y es riquísimo. Sinceramente recomiendo 100% este lugar, las cama son super cómodas y el baño es increíble.

Me gustó todo pero lo único a tener en cuenta es que vienen con ventilador solo, si quieres aire es extra pero es barato así que bien

The host family was amazing, kind and beyond accommodating even with our special requests. We had one dinner and one breakfast there and the food was delicious for a reasonable fee. We booked a safari and for this purpose the location was good, and there are some restaurants in walking distance. The entire grounds are beautifully decorated and it feels a bit like staying in a treehouse. There also is an instagram, if you would like to see pictures of the place (vcabanas.yala). Would love to come back here sometime!

As the place is located in the nature, there is some wildlife to be expected. We had an occassional gecko in our room, but the rooms were spatious enough to share ;) Otherwise the facilities have some signs of usage, for example some holes in our mosquito nets. But as the family is currently trying to expand the stay, they will surely fix it in the future.

Beautiful location. Right beside the rice fields. Owner was very welcoming and organized a great safari for us. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Owner recommended an excellent restaurant to us: Smokey Kitchen. You can walk there from the guesthouse along the river.

A really pleasant stay in a unique and charming style. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view over the rice fields, which made the atmosphere very peaceful and relaxing. The setting feels calm and authentic, and it’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

My favourite homestay! The family were SO welcoming from start to finish, cooking an amazing selection of curries, avocado juice, water, bananas etc. and they even dropped me off at the bus station. The place itself is in a great location with beautiful fields surrounding. The room was decent with a desk & mirror, mosquito net, nice shower, and the fan above the bed was sufficient so that I didn’t need to pay for AC. I would have stayed another night if I had time just for the tranquility.

Extrem gute Unterkunft, wahrscheinlich eine der besten die wir in Sri Lanka hatten, obwohl sie recht günstig war. Die Eigentümerfamilie ist super nett und der Sohn kann recht gut englisch und hat uns sogar angeboten uns zum Busbahnhof zu fahren (wir sind aber mit dem Taxi weitergefahren) und hat uns einen tollen Tipp gegeben: zwischen 18 Uhr und 18:30 gibt es in der Nähe einen Ort an dem wirklich hunderte fruit bats (Fledermäuse) schlafen und zu der Zeit aufwachen und ausschwärmen. Ein wahnsinnig tolles Erlebnis. Man findet den Ort auch auf Google Maps. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber und generell ist die Unterkunft sehr schön und liebevoll gestaltet. Bloß die Safari haben wir separat bei einem Unternehmen gebucht, weil es günstiger war, aber man hätte auch einfach eine Safari in den Yala-Nationalpark mit der Unterkunft buchen können.

Incredible. The best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. The rooms are great. The location is exceptional, very close to the city but quiet in nature with a great view. The hosts are really great, so kind. It's like being at home with your family. The breakfast is very good. The rice and curry for dinner is one of the best we've eat, so don't bother looking for a restaurant, you'll eat better here. The host offers half-day and full-day safaris in Yala Park. We took the full day and we are very happy to choice this, the guide was very good and really patient to find animals. We were able to see many animals (birds, crocodiles, elephants, deer, mongoose, lizards, etc.) and even a leopard up close (10 meters) at the end of the day. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka, we'll definitely stay at this Guesthouse again. Thank you for all

Unser Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft nahe des Yala-Nationalparks war einfach großartig. Es handelt sich um eine familiengeführte Unterkunft, und man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Herz die Familie dabei ist. Wir haben uns von Anfang an unglaublich gut aufgehoben gefühlt – immer wieder wurde nachgefragt, ob es uns gut geht oder ob wir etwas brauchen. Die gesamte Anlage ist liebevoll gestaltet, und es herrscht eine warme, einladende Atmosphäre. Besonders praktisch war, dass wir direkt über die Familie eine Safari buchen konnten. Alles hat perfekt funktioniert, von der Abholung bis zur Tour selbst. Da es uns gesundheitlich kurzfristig nicht gut ging, mussten wir die Safari um einen Tag verschieben – auch das haben sie ohne Probleme und mit viel Verständnis für uns organisiert. Wir haben uns selten so gut umsorgt gefühlt und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis 12 von 10!

Probablement la meilleure expérience de notre voyage au Sri Lanka en terme d'accueil et de séjour. Nous avons été reçus comme de la famille avec notre bébé de un an. La famille est très sympathique et très accueillantes. La nourriture y est excellente, petit déjeuner au top, et si vous demandez le dîner alors vous êtes au bon endroit. Расположено в прекрасном тихом месте, вокруг наблюдали много красивых птичек. Номер просторный и чистый, есть маскитные сетки над кроватями. Спалось просто отлично, никакие комары не мешали. По приезду нас угостили кофе, было очень приятно.

Endroit formidable. Nos hôtes étaient d’une très grande gentillesse et à l’écoute. Nous avons organisé notre safari par leur intermédiaire. Les chambres très propres et spacieuses.

L’hôtel était très bien. La localisation est parfaite pour réaliser un safari. L’endroit est très calme, apaisant et le paysage sur les rizières est très beau ! Le personnel est au petit soin. Le repas était très bon. Le logement est très bien, très propre, et spacieux ! Nous recommandons cet hôtel !

The place is beautifully located in a rice paddy. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts were kind, helpful and lovely (x10). We found the home cooked meals (breakfast and dinner) better than what the restaurants in town could offer. We booked our Yala safari through them and everything went smoothly. I can not speak highly enough of the place and the owners.

We stayed for 2 nights at V Cabanas and absolutely loved the place and the warm, welcoming family. The home has a peaceful view over the paddy fields, and beautiful jackfruit trees and a well-kept garden surround the property. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, equipped with air conditioning. Every morning we were served a delicious Sri Lankan-style breakfast with hoppers, pancakes, fresh fruit, and tea – a perfect start to the day! From V Cabanas, we also arranged a safari to Yala National Park. Everything was excellently organized – the jeep was in great condition and the driver was experienced and friendly. We were lucky to see elephants, monkeys, deer, birds, and best of all – a leopard! Truly an unforgettable experience. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!

I had a great stay. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. There is a balcony to enjoy nature and reading. The internet is working well. The family is so helpful and always available. They organized the safari for me and brought me to a restaurant and the bus station. I can definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful family! Very accommodating, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Cool treehouse like structure overlooking a gorgeous rice field. They arranged a Safari in Yala Park, drivers, transportation to Ella and drove me to the bank. They also took me to a spot with a bat migration! Very safe, secure spot too. Great host family and space!

Best stay I had in Sri Lanka, very clean and isolated room (even if being by the rice field no insects inside), comfortable bed, extremly nice family running the business. Views and surrondings are very nice. Room is silent at night and has good airconditioning. They can help you arrange transports in a good car by a fair price. Felt very safe for a woman travelling alone. They adapted breakfast for my dietary needs (gluten free)

They can prepare dinner or lunch but only on demand, so you need to anticipate the request (in my case 1 day before was needed), they helped me reach a nice spot for dinner with their own car which was appreciated.
