The Nunnery is an excellent place to stay. There are a small number of beautifully presented bedrooms c/w basins, which share a shower room, toilet room with 2 toilets, and a very well appointed share living area with small kitchenette. The grounds are lovely.
Some people may not like sharing amenities but the excellent price per night reflects this. We had no trouble accepting this as it was clearly spelled out in the written description and we were impressed with the standard.
Use of comfortable lounge and kitchen. Also sunny deck.very happy with our choice
Great location, staff, facilities
Was very comfortable. Denise lovely & helpful
Everything had a studio room

Overall a very pleasant place to stay but sad it was only a short visit to Te aroha and loved the communal aspect as it starts a conversation with other guests
Locked myself out of my room at 6am after going to the toilet # lesson learned always carry your room key at all times lol
all good
had trouble trying to find how to access the code box
The room we had was warm and had great storage.
The bathroom needed some underfloor heating and heated towel rail.
The accomadation was clean, and I appreciated the warm dressing gown
It was so cold when we arrived, our room was icy. I thought that as our arrival time was known some prior heating would have been appreciated.
Nice coffee
The price and where it was great we would stay again anytime 😊 ❤️
There were some stray hair in bathroom and bed side table. Also the bed topper on left side felt like I was falling out all night but don't get me wrong loved the place
We loved the old hotel. It was well maintained and a very comfortable historical place to stay. We enjoyed the history and the lively restaurant in the evening.
We found the track to the pools needed a better surface to make it easier and less slippery to walk on
Convenient location, very clean, good price per night. Very comfortable bed and quiet location. Good parking on site.
Small room but fine for a night or 2.

I was curious about the experience of a night in a convent and it was great. The rooms were a reasonable size, with wooden built-ins of the 70’s and close to town. The staff were welcoming and helpful about my needs. All this in the foreground of mighty Mt Te Aroha
Lovely decor, comfy room
Our host was lovely, friendly and accommodating. the facilities were relaxing, clean and well maintained.
Value for money and cleanliness.
Friendly , helpful host
Very welcoming and a great place to rest
Nothing
Close to everything easy walking quiet relaxing.
Not able to enjoy the place with other people nit owning who they are.
Aloha, Place, Location, MGR Denise, exceptional, courteous and kind, TE AROHA, AWESOME🤙
LOCATION, Comfort, and no worries
Attention to detail, everything we could think of was provided
Close and clean
All good
Lovely unit. comfortable and the location was superb.
Washing dishes a bit of a nuisance as no kitchen sink. Needed to use a bowl. However this did not really detract from the overall feel.
Great location, easy walk to town for dinner. King room was excellent. Nice to sit outside to get a breeze. Good to have aircon as it was HOT!
The facilities were well appointed and tasteful.
The studio met our needs for a one night stay.
Washing dishes in a basin. I have had to do this before in a motel. Provide jugs etc that are easy to get under the bathroom basin tap.I
It was clean, very comfortable and well located in Te Aroha. We enjoyed using the shared kitchen. We will be back and would recommend it to anyone staying in Te Aroha, which is a great place with good walking tracks and very good hot pool options. Overall a charming little town.
Everything was very good.
Lovely staff and residents, would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Allowed us to charge our EV overnight as there are no charging stations in Te Aroha
Great central location with parking in front of the unit.
The bed was slanted near the door requiring me to sleep in the middle.
Cosy studio with a place to park your bicycle safely. We were staying one night on our two days Hauraki Rail Trail bicycle tour. The spa near by was a nice experience too.
It was a stormy night and we woke up two times for the alarm of the free fire brigade nearby. Of course it is not their fault but maybe it would be good to guide tourists who are not used to this, so they don’t get worried.
Die ruhige Lage und die Sauberkeit.
Spannender Mix von Gästen, man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause.
Das Bett ist sauber und bequem, aber wackelt wenn sich jemand bewegt.
Fantastic location to town, lovely unit and even fresh flowers :-)
Nothing - very happy with my stay and I will be back.
Fantastic place to stay. Totally recommend. Well definitely stay again if available.
The location and comfy bed
Friendly staff. Clean room. Well equiped kitchen. Safe bike lockup. Great location.
No breakfast, but we had lovely plunger coffee, I thought in the pictures we had a lounge to hang out in however turns out section is so big it's also tenanted. But a comfortable room and lovely just what we needed
No breakfast? Or lounge area. As I thought in pictures. Loved all else but I'm asked so referenced
We were most impressed with the unit and surroundings - highly recommend
No negatives whatsoever
Bed is comfortable.
It was a very nice room we found the bed a bit uncomfortable the next morning it was like we were sleeping down hill both sides we found out why there were to mattress other than that we enjoyed our stay
I want to ask were we the only ones in that huge place we never saw any other vehicles never heard anyone else. If u don't mind me asking do you get many in there, please don't take this the wrong way when I was shown in the other room and I had seen the hallway I was actually going to cancel my wife and I are Jehovah's witnesses with all the idols the crosses that was in there was far out over board I know it's called the nunnery but it was just about enough to turn me away if my wife came in she would have said no because there was no crosses or nun statues I was happy with our room please don't take this the wrong way but if you ain't getting many clients it might be a good idea to remove alot of that stuff and the statues change the name I see it's up for sale aswell all that stuff can scare alot of people the way it is we both enjoyed our nite bed bit uncomfortable but other than that thank you very much much love to you and your family ❤️🩷
Great location, just around the corner from the main-strip and mineral pools, but very quiet. It was very clean and comfortable
Clean and tidy communal space.
There was no breakfast. But tea making facilities good. The bed was comfortable and the unit was very clean. Good linen
Space was smaller than we envisioned , cramped. Lacked a kitchen sink . Shower water ran out around toilet and basin. afraid of slipping.
Excellent location and well built place, lovely rooms with color coordinated bedding and comfortable beds. Kitchen well supplied with crockery, linen and appliances, everything you need in a home away from home.
Had only one night there !
Good location, quiet room and nice owner.
