A short walk to the carpark if you're in the back of the building, ie you can't park outside your unit, so luggage has to be taken to and fro. You have to phone reception outside office hrs (which for me entails a search for my phone!).

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026Located at the base and foot of the famed Te Aroha Soda springs on the Main Street of the township. A Good old fashioned clean spic and span motel. With daily change of towels plus a little kitchenette. 1 double and 1 single bed. Warm cosy though basic. Plenty of parking. Woolies 10m across the street also right next to a Hotel pub with delicious meals and quaint little bakeries, cafes, bottleo, dairy everything you could need shops up and down the Main Street.

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026Location just right on the main road, Woolworths, tavern, lotto shop across the road, ATMs a little further up the road. Cafe/bakery handy to Motel. The room was ample for 3 of us, the aircon and fan was put to use. We sat on the balcony in the sunshine and drank our wine. While the balcony was small, it was adequate with a small table and chairs provided. It is really cold at night, however, it was really warm in the room and the beds were nice and comfortable. Best place for fish and chips with salad - the local RSA!!
We were concerned with a leak in the toilet, however, the hosts apologized for the inconvenience and explained there was a new one on the way and provided a towel to place under the drip AND compensated with a couple of bottles of wine.

Sound insulation was good. AC unit was excellent. Above all, the owners are so friendly and kind and appreciative. Really enjoyed our 4 night stay while visiting family in Te Aroha.
