We always stay there as it is a great place and location.
We must admit, the bed and pillows were really not good. It was uncomforatble and our sleep was not enjoyable. I would really recommend upgrading those.
Fantastic stay! Great location, spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Thank you so much to the staff who organised a braai area at the pool for use by me and my friends. It was very considerate and much a appreciated!
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Dinner was fabulous.
We had a great stay. A lot of that was your wonderful staff who were very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our week with you. OK the slightly less good . our room was not bad although the toilet lid is broken as is one of the clothes pegs. Not serious but not quite right. On the other hand the bed was very comfy and frequent changing of the bed linen was a big plus. On a different subject, I was very disappointed that the bar/dining room was not open on the wednesday of our stay although I realise that just for me is probably insufficient to open. This was our third or fourth stay and will probably not be our last. So, the most important part. Yours is the best value for money in Grayton and as long as you are in the driving seat, we shall come to stay. But something tells me that you may not still be in place this time next year. But I hope not . best regards. Quentin

The location and the staff very friendly. .
I missed one Heather because it was too cold.
Not much
The rooms were old and stuffy. Bedding not great. Very noisy
Helpful staff.
Shower and bathroom poor.
Location and comfort of the room, as well as the historic feel of the building
Access through side gate
Friendly and Helpful Staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff provided extra blankets. The electric blanket was also so lovely.
The floor was a bit weird(uneven) but it is an old building so it just added to the charm of the stay.
The Property is unique and centrally situated. This is a great place to stay in Greyton. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The charm of the original Farmhouse has not been lost. You will experience the culture of Greyton staying at The Old Potters Inn. Very good accommodation
not much
Amazing place with such friendly staff. Excellent location. Room very spacious and clean
electric blankets, bath, superb location, staff, cozy and viby, quiet.
my wife is fussy about her bedding and polyester linen doesn't cut it. I booked the accommodation so took responsibility
Electrics in one room were faulty, so lamps and electric blanket didn't work.
Clean, nice and warm in the winter, beautiful rooms, lekker beds, friendly staff, wonderful location, street cafe vibe, peaceful and quiet, very good food, love the lights and fireplace outside, VERY GOOD beer, such a vibe!! I'm someone that values privacy and peaceful surroundings but still like some small degree of people gathering and having a good time. This is the perfect place. You're sitting on the main street in this beautiful street cafe with fairy lights while the place is packed with mannerly people that likes good food and good company. It felt like Paris and Africa, with horses and cows in the street. Loved everything about this place.
Central. Clean
Room was not level. Noisy from street
Amy and her Team were the Perfect Hosts. Accommodation ticked every box and perfectly located in Greyton. I will def. Return.
Very friendly staff and great central location Lovely old Heritage Building
We regret not asking for extra blankets or a heater to warm the room
The staff were super friendly and very helpful! The facilities were very nuce as well and super clean and organized. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious, would recommend this stay to anyone coming to visit Greyton.
Always a pleasure staying at Potters. Staff are friendly and facilities are good.
Central location and good value for money. Comfy bed.and decent shower.
Room was in the main building above the restaurant/bar, with quite rickety stairs, and some noise from downstairs and from the road. Good that there is offstreet parking, but setup is a bit awkward.
The location.
It was raining when we checked in we had to park at the back, walk in rain and the room was upstairs with an outside staircase. That all was still fine but then the shower was cold and mattress horrible. We wanted to eat at the restaurant, and ask if they will make a "kaggel" , but they said no. Also with check in we asked until what time they are open but couldn't say, we got the vibe they want to close early. It could have be a wonderful evening with a fireplace, pizza and beer tasting, I am sure if the fire was on people in the cold, dark would have come in, because the set up could have been cosy
Staff was very friendly
It is right next to a very noisy pub and on a busy street, the pub had live music which started at 8pm. We actually decided to not spend the night and drove back to Cape Town as we realised we won’t be able to sleep in the noise and the bed was pretty uncomfortable.
location is nice..aswel as the food
Private off street parking is a bonus. It is centrally located and easy to find. Due to a storm we were allowed to depart later. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The electrical blankets were helpful.
We found the bed quite uncomfortable and too firm. The mattresses might be in need of replacement. There were no blankets, only two very small throws. The room was very cold on arrival. The on-suite bathroom is adequate, but the shower cannot comfortably be accessed.
Location and personell were good. The bed headrest trip the bed light and warm blanket all the time. The bed and coffee table next to it feels unstable. as if the head of the ved drops into a slope. The shower door space is uncomfortable. I moved hhe bed to sort out yhe electrical wiring and a lot of items lied below it. The extractor fan is dirty.
Location. Personell and restaurant and gargen and pool.
On the Main Street, delightful old building. Walking distance to good restaurants, coffee shops and the venues for the music festival we attended.
The beds and bedding were old, well used and tired. Only a thin summer duvet with 1 single sized polyester blanket supplied. There were electric blankets but we had to keep rolling over like rotisserie chickens to stay warm. We requested a blanket the next morning and another single was supplied but it wasn’t enough to beat the very cold night. There were no chairs. We could only shower for a minute or 2 because the water took long to drain.
Great location, spacious and comfortable apartment.
No tv.
The heated blankets were a nice touch since it was so cold
Quaint, clean cottage in a great central location. Lovely staff and lekker beer at the brewery.
The cottage is quite cold on colder winter days. The electric blanket on the bed was great, however. An extra space heater upstairs might help.
The place is amazing.
The absence of a tv
It was a friendly and warm welcome from everyone there. Only issue was the hot water for someone who in general is a cold person and needs a warm shower 🚿. Turned the taps all the directions possible, completely and half way in the middle... Finally got some Luke warm but it was more like Luke cold water to just rinse atleast after soaping up outside the shower. Quite an experience... After freezing it was atleast made up with a warm electric blanky that was set before the shower and turned off when turning to bed. Also plus point, I had my warm water bottle with me knowing I'm a cold person. :)
Not open for breakfast. Their daily offerings and food are great!
Secure parking, easy check in, pool to cool down in, very friendly and competent staff, comfortable bed, lovely shower, kitchen has everything you need, location is walking distance from all restaurants.
The staff were all amazing! Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The accomodation was exactly what we needed for Fools and Fans Festival. Clean and comfortable.
Unfortunately breakfast is not included.
Basically everything. What a great stay. We absolutely loved it. Definitely will be back.
Bed could be a little more comfortable. But nitpicking here.
Friendly staff, nice accommodation, very reasonably priced, in a beautiful village. And an on site brewery. We loved it.
Nothing.
Garden and swimming pool.
Central location
We were unable to sleep... had we known place next door was having a live concert we would not have stayed...it is a very noisy stay over. And the mosquitos are awful - they should provide anti mozzie equipment.. Would not stay again however staff are superb and super friendly....
Staff was extremely kind and helpful. It’s location is perfect and we enjoyed our stay.
Friendly staff. Nice setup and clean room
That the brewery was closed😂🫣
Friendly staff and central location
Limited facilities
Central
Mattress was old and caved in.
Good location, friendly staff
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The cottage was squeaky, and the floor boards noisy.
Loved the pool
A lovely cottage in the centre of Greyton, safe, cosy and everything within reach. Pleasant communication with the staff and above very friendly! The restaurant of Potters Inn is a great place to meet local people.
I loved this place
Can definitely do with a tv in the rooms.
Zentral Lage
Perfect hosts, excellent location, on site restaurant, great beer, lovely staff, easy parking, just a stroll into the village and an easy drive to the Nature Reserve
Greyton is a lovely town with great atmosphere. The Potters Inn and it's cottages was a comfortable and central place. Beautiful garden with sun loungers and chaors to sit around the pool. Pub beer and food delicious. Amy was very responsive to any enquires and on our forst visit upgraded us to a cottage, we only had 1 night so we returned for another 3 at the end of our visit. We loved it and will return again!!
Nothing it was 10/10
Location, staff, comfort
Nothing
The rooms are beautiful, quaint, centrally located within walking distance of everything and well maintained. We will stay here again.
Maybe provide something for mosquitoes?
The hosts were kind and helpful. Everything was clean and tidy. It felt like a safe environment. The location was great because it was within walking distance of the restaurants etc.
A rusk or two would be nice to start the morning with the complimentary tea and coffee, and I would add two more sachets of milk if two people are sharing the room.
the pool
very rude host, not accommodating AT ALL for check out, threaten to call the police if not out by 10am, also the place is old, nasty and VERY noisy.
Vriendelijke ontvangst.
Toegang met auto tot accomodatie: afgesloten met hekwerk, maar niet gemakkelijk te openen.
It was great. The restuarant was all a plus and lots of locals were there. A great sign. Staff were excellent.
The music from the pub next door. We went on until 12pm Make sure you don't go to bed early! Rather join them at the pub
The staff was very kind and helpful.
The stairs to the room is not very safe for older people. Perhaps visitors could be informed about the access to the room.
The location. The garden was lovely
Bed, very hard. Shower a bit scary. Needs a bit of TLC to bring it up to standard.
Amazing place we loved the our stay Staff were very helpful and friendly. Thank you for hosting us will definitely be back. The pizzas are the best !!!!!
Nothing
Stayed in the self catering unit for one night. Friendly welcome by Amy. Nice little unit with a downstairs lounge/kitchen area and upstairs bedroom. Well laid out and furnished fitting in with the historic theme of the town. The restaurant and brewhouse was closed on the Sunday evening, but walked across the road for dinner. Will be back !
Staff are super helpful and the spare ribs were delicious. Wi-Fi reception very good and we did not miss the absence of a TV in the room at all. .
We waren hier voor de tweede keer en het beviel weer goed. Schoon en ruim huisje, lekker zwembad, centraal gelegen en zeer vriendelijk personeel.
Location
Bathroom was a bit small
The Bathroom had been recently painted using High VOC enamel. My wife is Asthmatic and found the fumes very difficult. The mattress seems a little worn out.
The room with the view over the main road. I felt at home. The old building with all its quirks. No cookie cutter franchise hotel, this one. The local hospitality. I wish it had been warm enough to swim in the pool, long and narrow enough to actually swim lengths. And my bicycle, Cleo, was delighted to be accommodated in the brewery!
Nothing.
The swimming pool to cool the heat. We visited during a very warm season.
The fact that there were no air conditioner and no fridge in our room.
Super friendly staff, had a really great time
The staff seemed nice, even if they were busy with the restaurant below. The location is great on the main road. The pool is great.
The facilities are not up to scratch. The ceiling fan was broken and extremely loud. Almost as if there were a few screws rolling around. The rooms are boiling and even though I tried to sleep without the fan, it was not possible. It wasn't possible properly sleeping with the fan either. I may have slept on and off for 3 hours the whole night. Needless to say, I was extremely angry in the morning. These things should be checked. There is no reception and since I found this issue too late, nothing could be done about it. Windows did not open properly either, but that did. It bother me anyway. There is also no service to store your luggage, at least not when I asked. Check out is early at 10am, and I had to carry my backpack after this. I really do hope they sort out these issues. It will be a great place otherwise.
