Not used to showering in bath...but it was not so bad after all.. My husband would have loved a tv for bokke game..but we sorted that out...3 restaurants in walking distance..with TV s as well.. One restaurant exactly opposite hotel...so all good..

We thought the bathrooms in the standard rooms were a little small...for a 3 night stay.The water in Room 2 could've been a few degrees hotter ... fine for summer, but lukewarm water not OK on a cold winter's morning!

The family room we booked, was beautifully decorated , spacious ,good linen,comfortable beds and pillows, bath and shower separately, all amenities you needed, coffee , tea, milk, biscuits. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We arrived ahead of time and we were booked in early without hesitation . The gardens and swimming pool are lovely. The breakfast was superb and the location perfect. We could walk everywhere and felt safe. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

L'ensemble est bien tenu mais ne comptez pas trop sur la piscine pas très attirante. La question ensuite : faut-il rester plusieurs nuits à Greyton, sauf si on est contemplatif ?

This is a gorgeous B&B positioned perfectly in the centre of the little town - and is bang oppo Rupert's bistro - which is a cracking place to eat. The B&B has a graceful lawned area with several rooms arranged looking onto the grass with chairs and tables- and tucked away further behind is the pool area. It exudes peace and calm. Much required in this crazy world.

The bed was not great but John promised to see to it. The mattress needed turning. Despite that we slept well. The breakfast, the atmosphere, the staff, the pool were all really good. We'll be back.

Reviewed Dec 30, 2025Everything is exceptionally well maintained—from the gardens to the pool and the rooms. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had to leave early for the Greyton-to-McGregor hike and couldn’t stay for breakfast, but they kindly offered to prepare a packed lunch for our trip. Every aspect of the Post House Hotel is outstanding. We’ll definitely return when we visit Greyton again.
The pillows were a bit hard.
