Wonderful experience

You will have to search very hard to find something you don't like. It's absolutely amazing. The hot tub and the fireplace were a joy! The view is incredible, and the Knysna Loerie that visits twice a day is a bonus. More than enough wood, coffee, sugar, etc. Available. All kitchenware and braai equipment was of good quality and functioning. It’s close to Sedgefield, but it's a bit far to travel every day, so stock up. Amazing place!!

We loved every moment!

The privacy and kindness shown by the hosts. The property has a lot to offer and everything that is needed was there- electric blankets for the cold night- perfectly pleasant Aircon.lovely games room and bar rate on site. Love it and generally don’t go back to the same place but will be back again.

Es war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Verwunschen gebaut, offen und doch gemütliche geschützte Schlafzimmer. Alles mitten in der Natur. Die Kinder waren begeistert! Es ist ein Ort zum Entspannen! Außergewöhnlich!

Due to very bad weather we got an Upgrade. This was fantastic and very generous. We enjoyed the beautiful cozy house and the stunning view . We love the place and coming back again. All cottages are unique and beautiful. Thank you to all of you.

Fabulous treehouse, glamping at it's best. Everything you could wish for and more!! Wi-fi, aircon, electric blankets, bath towels, swim towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap etc etc, tea, coffee, sugar, milk - all provided. Even the bath has a view!! Exceptional views, beautiful forests.

Great location. You are in the canopy of the forest, we love birding, and loved the Knysna Turacos visiting each day.

Wir waren sehr begeistert von der tollen Aussicht ins Tal und der ruhigen Lage der Unterkunft. Wir waren alleine auf dem Gelände haben uns aber gut betreut gefühlt. Für Naturliebhaber absolut zu empfehlen.

Absolut ruhige Lage. Ganz besonders schön gebaute Unterkünfte mit sehr viel Privatsphäre. Man hört nur die Natur. Tolle Ausstattung. Ganz besondere Dusche und Badewanne „with a view“.

The house is beautifully situated among the treetops, offering stunning views of the forest and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to cook your own meals. The grill was cleaned every morning. We highly recommend the hikes through the forest to the nearby Karatara River. It was certainly one of the most beautiful accommodations on our tour along the Garden Route.

WOW! What a gem! We had the best time ever, and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were fantastic, the room amazing, the view outstanding- but then the DIY food boxes- out of this world! You won't be disappointed. They literally think of everything!

Beautiful settings in the forest with a nice welcoming. Tents are extremely comfortable and well equipped.

Lovely treetop experience in the forest. Well equipped for a braai experience. Really enjoy the stay. Green beard tent has a great sunset. Beatrice is a star. I left my reading glasses and they are organising for them to be couriered back to me. Very kind of them!

The setting is beautiful, quiet and very private.

Just a suggestion that on a hot day, they should switch the aircon on before the client books in to cool the tent down a little bit. Seeing that it is off the grid, it would be nice to step into a cool tent and not a blazing oven. No waste of electricity.

Stunning views, well appointed and spacious cabin (Gorge View, number 6). Nice hot tub, good trails right from the door and, of course, Knysna Turacos visiting at breakfast!

It was unusually hot (37C) both days we were there. The cabin got roasting hot while we were out and the air conditioning took a long time to have an impact, although it got there in the end.

This is a 'total escape'! The cabin in the treetops was exactly what we were expecting, plus a little more. The cabin is relatively 'basic', especially the kitchen, but that is what we expected and provided us with everything we needed, and that added to the charm. There are two nice outside deck areas, one with a braai and dining table, which we used both nights, and one withe two loungers, which we also used for reading and to watch the sunset. The bedroom was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom was also spacious. The feeling of solitude and tranquility was wonderful. Plenty of birds singing in the trees, and the occasional chatter of the Vervet Monkeys out there somewhere! We hiked all the trails leading from the cabin through the forest, which was most enjoyable. The staff were wonderful, very friendly, helpful, and professional. We would certainly go back again and stay for 3 nights, rather than two!

Sehr schön eingerichtete Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht. Super Aussicht. Tiere kommen gerne zu Besuch. Davon zum Glück kaum Spinnen. Grillen auf der Terrasse möglich.

Baumhaus…das was man erwartet ist es !!! …die grüne Vielfalt und die Töne der Natur sind toll !! Sehr netter Empfang und ein herzliches Willkommen.

Leider war ein Sonnenschutz kaputt, der uns gut getan hätte…sollte aber kurzfr. reparabel sein !!

The terrain to and from the cabin was a bit worrying with a light motor vehicle (car)- especially when it started to rain. But managed to get out okay.

Such a peaceful place to stay. The tent is well equipped and very comfortable. The highlights of the visit were the sunset views the total dark sky, so amazing for stargazing and the visit from the Knysna Loerie. It was there at sunset and appeared first thing in the morning. We spotted it through the mosquito net from our bed.

Would have been good to see down into the gorge.

Only thing that could improve is to have sunnloungers at the pool and the pool was slightly green ( we still swam and it was lovely)

We stayed in Unit 8, I liked the quiet and the view, Was also nice to have Wi fi when needed. The owner was super friendly and professional. The shower facitilty was great. Bed was comfortable Lookout point was great to sit there and look beyond.

The outside sitting area could have been made bigger, with an outside table. Missed lighting a fire outside but understand the danger of causing a fire.

Fantastic setting, a little rustic but you feel like you in a treehouse. The staff are amazing.

Extremely hot in the unit. Unbearably hot in the afternoon. The bedroom does have an Aircon but not the lounge.

The location is spectacular The cabins was fully stocked, don't need to bring anything , everything u need is there Most comfy beds.

Unreal views over the gorge, simply stunning. Plus a visit from the resident kynsna lourie (beautiful local bird!). Hottub was fab. Have been recommending this to everyone since I left!!

Pool didn't look particularly inviting but understand its a rustic spot.

Great getaway in beautiful and quite unique setting. We loved the tented bedroom among the treetops. Opted for the DIY barbecue. Great choice and we enjoyed the heat from the Weber while gazing at the stars…

What a great experience! The tented cottages are great & everything you could need, was there. The gorest walks were interesting & amazing!!! Highly recommend Tenquila Treetops

It was absolutely beautiful and incredibly clean. Our room was so prepared with all the little things that we might need and so much attention to detail was paid. We wish that our stay had been longer.

What a beautiful stay! As our end date approached, we were seriously considering forefeiting our next booking to stay a bit longer. The staff were friendly and helpful when we saw them, but for the most part, we were left to enjoy the stillness of the forest. You feel fully immersed in the environment, and while the utilities are a bit rustic, they add to the charm. We especially enjoyed utilising the bathtub with a forest view and had a wonderful moment doing so while it rained. Can't wait to be back.

Easy to find location, the staff were so helpful and friendly. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfy and warm, the shower was nice and hot. The views were absolutely exceptional—we even had a bird come visit us for breakfast!

Unique, quiet and peaceful. Views over the gorge above the trees was excellent. We were lucky to have stayed on a clear night and we managed to see the Milky Way in the sky at night. Also in the morning, a loerie paid us a visit on our balcony!

We stayed in Greenbeard Treetop, which had the most amazing 180° views of the forest. Our accommodation was very comfortable, with all the kitchen equipment you require, great outdoor Braai, an incredible view from the bath. A minimum of 2 nights is a must. This is a real GEM in South Africa.
