It was the perfect stop over for us both honestly would be a wonderful place to stay for a longer period

Location Friendly staff Well equipped

A lovely welcome on arrival. Front of house ladies very friendly and helpful The room was provided with everything you might need, including midge-repellent. Excellent breakfast Secure parking

The room was very nice, we had an upgrade to a lovely suite. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of both warm and cold. The host was very helpful in finding a restaurant that we really enjoyed.

It was lovely, and the staff amazing!

Everything! P.S. Cleopatra is an absolute gem ...my Xhosa speaking aunt stayed here too a few days before this booking which was for a friend ...and they all spoke so highly of Cleopatra in particular, and of Pelican Lodge and how well looked after they were! Lovely rooms, and layout of entire establishment. All round - fantastic! Thank you!

Nothing!

My stay at Pelican Lodge was brief, as it was work-related, but I can't speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. The accommodations were comfortable and perfect for my intended purpose. The guest house had everything I needed, and I couldn't have asked for a neater space. The location is absolutely beautiful, adding to the overall charm of my stay. If you're looking for a cozy place to stay in Knysna/Sedgefield, I highly recommend Pelican Lodge. It’s an excellent choice whether you’re traveling for work or leisure.

We had all the facilities needed, the kitchen is very well equipped as well. Very clean, everything worked and the pool was a great bonus after a windy beach day

The wasn’t a security gate for our ground floor room, this is the only small thing that would have been nice, as then we could have slept with the door open at night. But it’s not a major inconvenience at all, just a possible nice to have.

Excellent service Swimming pool

We loved everything about Pelican Lodge. The location, the views, the place itself was amazing, it was clean and had everything that we needed. We received such a warm welcome on arrival. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious.

Nothing at all.

Peaceful location. Comfortable bed and overall service. Big shower.

Nothing

The rooms are stunning and well equipped . Cleopatra the receptionist is also exceptionally good with her hospitality . I will definitely be back

Nothing

The accommodation was super clean and in a great location. 👍

Nothing.

Everything was fantastic! Cleo is such a gem and runs an excellent show.

This didn’t detract from the quality nor enjoyment of my stay, but a fan in the room especially at night in summer would have been fantastic.

Breakfast expensive

Central location

Very spacious room upstairs with very comfortable bed and crisp white linen. Very friendly staff. Secure parking.

Peaceful

Super nettes, hilfsbereites Personal. Upgrade fürs Zimmer ohne Berechnung. Toller Aussenbereich mit wunderschönem, gepflegten Garten.

We’ve stayed previously and have never been disappointed and I’m pleased to say that this stay was no exception - brilliant as usual.

Nothing

De locatie was prima, heerlijk rustig, Cleopatra is een hele vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw en het ontbijt was prima, met iedere dag vers fruit erbij.

De waterdruk van de douch was iets aan de zwakke kant.

My second stay at Pelican lodge. It is beautifully furnished, clean and a great quiet location. Shops/restaurants are a two minute drive away, The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Fantastic host and perfect location

Friendly reception. Easy check in. Lovely room with attractive balcony with hillside view. Clean. Nice shower. Comfortable bed. A short walk into town. They offered us secure parking (although safe anyway).

The kettle - too small for even 2 cups of tea. The toilet cistern was noisy on refill

I love this place its really amazing . Very homey. The stuff is very friendly and amazing.

Parfait, j'y reviendrais avec plaisir

Great location, value for money . Great service , booked last minute but the caretaker answered and toke care of everything arrived at 8 and everything was perfect 😍 thanks to Cleo

The most comfortable beds ever. Pandora is so welcoming and helpful.

Nothing

The staff are friendly and welcoming, but not to the point of being too involved or annoying. The rooms are stunning, the beds are EXTREMELY comfortable, I like the fact that streaming services are included and the breakfast was perfect. Added benefit to me was the keyboard with headphones! :) Pelican Lodge is now my number 1 accommodation in Sedgefield and I will always stay here when I am travelling for work.

I absolutely LOVED staying at Pelican Lodge. The well equiped rooms look onto a beautiful garden. Each room has a small covered terrace decorated with plants and flowers. The place is tranquil, quiet, and peaceful. Ideal venue to relax and recharge yourself. Room, kitchen, and bathroom beautifully done. Well equiped with modern stylish equipment. Best of all - the staff at this venue are such wonderful and friendly people. They love chatting to you and have lots of time to talk to you. The woman serving breakfast is the friendliest person l know! And her breakfasts are so good! This is absolutely one of the nicest places l have stayed!!

I have no complaints and were satisfied with my stay.

Everything was perfect

Cleo, has the warmest friendliest smile, and is the perfect hostess! What a treasure in the heart of the Garden Route. This guest house remembered gadgets & goodies, that we forgot to forget. True story! They think of everything that can possibily make your stay comfortable, professional and convenient. The breakfasts are am-a-zing, and the level of comfort was next level. We also loved that they share events in the area, and made lots of suggestions to make our stay in Sedgefield interesting. Thank you for being a 'home away from home'. We'll be back.

Nothing

Friendly host Ian and reception lady. Rooms very stylish. Great stay and will go back.

The hospitality was great! The place was very comfortable and nicely set up with lots of attention to detail

No aircon

I didn't like anything for the amount we paid

The room did meet the payment we made

Location close to N2, excellent facilities and Wifi in the room

Parking space on site a bit limited

Pelican Lodge is a great place. Cleopatra was very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Lovely garden. Wonderful breakfast.

Nothing. Everything was good

Super nice room with a great balcony, very clean and cozy. Cleopatra was very helpful. Ideal for paragliders, the street up to Sedgeview ist just across the main road :)

Excellent value for money and excellent service from Cleopatra

Look no further for a great place to stay in Sedgefield! Hands down the best guesthouse I've found in a long time. My room was so thoughtfully appointed, with everything needed for a comfy stay. Stylish too! A rarity was the good sized and private covered patio, with a pretty view and seating options that made it usable day and night. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, putting great care into this peaceful little haven. They've successfully raised the bar in Sedgefield😋

Although there was off street parking, it was not secured overnight.

Breakfast very good with great options! Garden really inspiring and calming to look at and parking inside property close to room very practical and easy to load luggage and shopping.

Mattress was a bit lumpy and I personally do not like the "heavier blanket" that was on the bed, but I still slept very well and enjoyed the quietness of the area.

I had a wonderful stay, the guest house was perfect. Lovely room, breakfast was delicious. So happy to have chosen to stay at Pelican Lodge. Thanks to Ian for making me feel so welcome!

The host was very friendly and helpful, the room small but comfortable with a nice patio onto the garden. The breakfast was excellent.

We travelled in March which is peak ant season in the region. It was annoying to find some snacks covered in ants in the morning. A warning would have avoided this. No kettle in the room as the establishment is solar powered. Hot water is provided in a flask but in our case was cold by morning. The explanation being that the system can't handle six kettles at the same time, This is a strange explanation as the rooms all have air-conditioning which can run 24/7 at the same time. There are better ways to manage this.

Great breakfast, & all staff.

Nothing, couldn't wish for more.

All good

Cleopatra the manager is fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Rooms are well equipped with back-up power, aircon and ceiling fans

We stayed in room 5 and it’s tiny no place to open your suitcase but on the bed. Shower should have a curtain to prevent toilet area getting wet.

The property was in a good location, no noise from N2, modern, comfortable room, swift check in, efficient staff, great breakfast.

Kulu Patra very nice 😅lady everything was good

Staff very friendly and helpful

Home away from home

I would have preferred to see the ocean

A really sweet little B'nB with everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony outside. Cleopatra was so sweet and made us feel very welcome, even organising an early breakfast for us. The breakfast was delicious and filling!

Everything about Pelican Lodge is value for money. I particularly like the courtesy of the lady hosting us. She was available to offer info about the sorroundings.

Nothing. Nothing. All was fine with me

The breakfast was very good, excellent fresh fruit and everything else was freshly cooked to order.

Due to the power outages the rooms no longer have kettles, hot water for tea and coffee is left in the room in a hot jug but unfortunately it’s cooled by morning

The ambiance is wonderful. Very upmarket. Finishing off touches.... 👍

There was nothing to complain about.
