The communication from this facility was just horrible and upon arrival we had to wait more than 10 minutes at the gate buzzing nonstop and it was before close of day our room was an insult to us there where no cups in our rooms or soons but funny there was coffee of sugar to top it all off our sheets where dirty ventilation nightmare

Staff was friendly and kind . The kitchen staff was nice and catered to all our dietary requirements.

The aircon was not working. The TV was not working. My family was placed far from each other. The swimming pool was dirty. Room for 2 had only one towel.

The shower had dirty stains. Waited at the gate for almost 10 min until other guest assisted in opening the gate, then there was no one at the reception until we call their Head Office.

1.Room was a bit dark, Lighting was insufficient 2. I requsted an early checking in via booking.com and they responded I was granted early check-in with no extra fees. But was suprised when I arrived at the venue that I have to pay extra R250

Terrible experience at Ilawu. The staff were unfriendly, rude and engaged in gossip. Often the reception area was unmanned, requiring me as guest to go to the dining area to find someone who will help me. Even then, they had bad attitude - requiring multiple greetings before acknowledging me. My toddler accidentally broke a glass while we were having our breakfast the staff reaction was unacceptable. A chef wearing an apron with Amajuba logo gave me a disapproving look and a pregnant staff member questioned me why I hadn’t reported it sooner. I was with 2 toddlers and needed help, not blame. Unprofessional service and lack of empathy. Would not recommend!!

bad attitude from staff, from reception to kitchen. No one paid attention to us at breakfast, tables were dirty, not cleared after people had breakfast, no clean glasses. We had to wait about 15mins until I had to call someone for attention. Rooms are too small, bathroom is worse.

The bed was a little uncomfortable plus there was no top sheet just the duvet. The bed was right by the door and extremely close to the wall. You had to squeeze yourself past between the bed and the wall.

The 1 gig a day wifi. And we only got wifi for 2 of our 3days stay. That was a let down

The initial room had no space/room that we had to request a new room. The breakfast was blend, after waiting for over an hour waiting for it.

Comfortable room. Quiet area. The overall look and feel of the Lodge is quite good. Gardens neat

"Bar and Restaurant" overstated. There is no bar. The kitchen takes orders for breakfast and dinner for the following day. Our breakfast was late the first day and the kitchen had no milk.

I stayed there many times already but the quality is going down and also at the breakfast buffet some items was missing

Everything was good until we had to take a shower. You need to fix your drainage system.

The place was stunning. The garden was clean and nice. The view was beautiful. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Thandeka went an extra mile to make sure we enjoy our stay. The breakfast was delicious too.

There were coackroaches in the room am not happy shame I wake up in the morning my pizza was full of coackroach I ended up trowing it.

Location and friendly staff

The room should have been advertised as equipped with a tiny bathroom. I would have paid more for more comfort. The basin was right in front of toilet so it was uncomfortable. Also the wifi was tricky to log into. Once you connected to wifi it took you to a site that you need to put your code into for access but the whole screen was white and very tricky to find where to enter code. I tried it on my phone and laptop with the same results. I did get it right, but it was difficult.
