Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Due to the close nature of the rooms we were woken up several times by exceptionally loud guests talking at the top of their lungs as they arrived close to midnight. The talking continued for around an hour before we were allowed to go to sleep again. The rooms get the bare minimum. One does not even get the luxury of a small long life milk for coffee and tea - only powder milk. One would expect this type of experience at a SUN1 hotel not a guesthouse which is also not cheap.

From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly warm, friendly, helpful and hospitable, making us — and our little dog — feel completely at home. It is genuinely pet-friendly, which we particularly appreciated. Our dog was welcomed with open arms and could even join us for breakfast, which was such a lovely touch. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the coffee was fantastic — exactly what we needed before another long day on the road! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be back, and next time we'll make sure it's for more than one night. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and for making both us and our four-legged family member feel so welcome. ❤️🐾

The breakfast was great with so much variety we were well filled for our next expedition. Will definitely use again. Thank you.

The room was uncomfortable with light switches of "bed lamps" on the opposite side of the bed. The tree stump bedside tables are really to small to use There were guests that were very noisy outside till early morning hours...impossible to rest after 10 hours on the road!

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Breakfast was lovely. We loved the location, one of the main reasons we decided to book our stay here. Rooms were tidy; we loved the rusty theme.
Upon our arrival, we were shown to one room, and the gentleman wasn't aware that we had booked 2 rooms, so we had to go back to reception to validate the info. There room(s) next to ours seemed to have a party that went on until 11 pm. The music was too loud, the singing and the banging of the doors and walls were just unbearable. We found this to be very inconsiderate of the host, considering there were other guests right next door. Although we had planned a 2-night stay, we decided to forgo our last day and left after breakfast to complete the rest of our weekend elsewhere.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Extremely comfortable beds and crisp linen. Our room had a beautiful view - the sunset was breathtaking, so calm and relaxing. The BEST moment was seeing the impalas and other bucks grazing right outside. Stunning little kitchenette, very nice and neat. I would just prefer a little fresh milk over milk powder, and a rusk or two would finish it off perfectly. We cannot fault this beautiful place and will definitely be back!

Breakfast non- introduction. We were greeted and asked how we want out eggs done. We didnt know what was on the menu nor what was on offer. We went to look around and found yoghurt, toast and filtered coffee on 3 separate corners. The assistant that we asked seemed unsure as well. I had to ask what there was to drink besides filter coffee as juice or tea wasnt offered/displayed nor information voluntarily given that we could have that. Just felt difficult to get information as opposed to just having a page or menu saying what was on offer for breakfast and we could easily decide from that.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026Located just outside the busy town, it’s wonderful to see Springbok and Impala roaming freely around the rooms - they even have a black Impala. We also thoroughly enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast.
We stayed at this establishment twice, a week apart. Our first visit was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, during our second stay, the air‑conditioning remote did not work, the TV remote was also faulty, and the towels were worn and falling apart.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Checking in after hours was fairly simple, the security showed us to our rooms. Shower water was hot and pressure was good, but the shower rose was quite bad. The room had the essentials. Breakfast was good.
No drinking water provided. Room had very strong unpleasant smells on the bed. Pillows uncomfortable and super stained (the cover was clean but stains still showing from underneath). Location very inconvenient. The owner did not feel welcoming and pleasant when we saw her at breakfast.
