⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Stay at Aqua Sunset, Gulhi We stayed at Aqua Sunset in Gulhi from August 29 to September 1 with full board, and we had such a wonderful experience. From the very beginning, the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. He guided us from A to Z, including transportation arrangements and ferry timing, which made our journey from Malé to Gulhi completely smooth and stress-free. The staff were also excellent — very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They picked us up and dropped us off at the port, making everything so convenient. I also requested vegetarian and low-salt fish meals, and they were kind enough to accommodate my preferences. The location is perfect if you want to escape the busy city life and enjoy a peaceful island atmosphere. The property is close to the public beach, and it’s only around 5 minutes to the bikini beach, which was very convenient for us. What made our stay even more special was the owner’s generosity. He allowed us to stay until 3:30 PM on our departure day and even provided complimentary lunch, which we truly appreciated. Overall, Aqua Sunset gave us not only a comfortable stay but also a very smooth and enjoyable island experience. The excellent service, helpful staff, thoughtful owner, and convenient location made our trip to Gulhi memorable. La habitación era amplia y la comunicación con el personal y su gestión rápida , eficiente y fluida.

Al ir a dormir nos encontramos con una larva x lo q sospechamos q pudiera haber más, y al retirar las sabanas observamos que el colchón estaba plagado de gusanos. Se lo hicimos saber al personal y nos cambiaron de habitación inmediatamente.

The location is really good. Right in front of the local beach, which we found really good despite all the sand bags. The corals are just right there and we snorkelled most of the time. Everyone was nice. What worries us a bit is that massive fake island resorts are being built all around, specially in front of the nice bikini beach, i cant stop thinking that this is not good for the marine life around it. Anyway this has nothing to do with the hotel. I really believe Aqua Sunset has the most privileged location on the small island. Right by the sea, by the port, by the very nice local beach with its corals and reef. We had all inclusive, which was nice.

Ons kamer had een enorm slecht geur. Er was geen sprake vaan roomservice (zelfs vuilbakken werden niet leeggemaakt). We hebben geen contact kunnen opnemen met de accommodatie voor we aankwamen. Ze namen ons telefoon niet op, er werd niet geantwoord op ons berichten. Toen we aankwamen in Gulhi was er niemand die ons kwam ophalen. We moesten zelf ons weg zoeken op het eiland. Een zeer teleurstellend punt voor ons was dat we GEEN gratis toegang hadden tot het bikinibeach. We moesten elke dag 15$ betalen.

Camera mai pulita in 3 notti, frigo non funzionante e molto sporco all'interno. Colazione con pochissima scelta (dolce solo pane e burro). Staff scortese all'accoglienza. Pagamento solo in contanti anche se diversamente segnalato. Insetti vaganti per la struttura e nella camera. La camera vista giardino non corrisponde alle foto di Booking.

La vista del mar desde la habitación. Aunque era un piso alto y había que subir por escaleras, para nosotros no es problema.

La atención recibida, los empleados no nos dieron respuesta a muchas de nuestras preguntas o fueron cambiantes (organizacion de ferry, posibilidad de comida o cena en el local, salidas en barco). Los empleados no tenían ningún interés en resolver dudas, directamente se retiraban al hacerles una consulta buscando a otro que lo resolviera y no regresaban. El desayuno era hasta las 9, y en el segundo día de nuestra estancia, retiraron todo a las 8, sin ninguna explicación, mientras estábamos desayunando.

Hrůza - Maledivy značka luxusu . Hotel komplet plesnivý , dostala jsem pokoj s výhledem do zdi , naštěstí mi byl vyměněn za lepší výhled . Blízké okolí hotelu bordel a špína ,všude odpadky , otevřené konzervy . Hnus . Budova komplet plesnivá !!

Осень грязный и старый отель. Обслуживания номеров нет вообще - нет уборки, выноса мусора, замены полотенец. Нет никаких индивидуальных принадлежностей. Рядом шумная стройка. На 4-й день по мне пробежала крыса и мы съехали.

Myślę, że lokalizacja jest cudowna. Jest największym atutem tego miejsca! Podobało mi się również podejście personelu- każdy był tam bardzo miły i czuliśmy się tam świetnie! Na powitanie dostaliśmy nawet sok pomarańczowy

Drobne rzeczy, które nie zaważyły na mojej ogólnej ocenie. Nadal polecam to miejsce i wrociłabym tam ponownie. 1) łóżko podwójne to tak naprawdę połączone dwa łóżka, przez co materace czasami się rozsuwają/są na różnej wysokości 2) przez brak obniżenia ani żadnego odgrodzenia prysznica, podłoga w łazience jest przez większość czasu mokra 3) śniadanie jest bardzo monotonne, czasami zamiast bufetu jest przynoszone na talerzu bez pytania, kto jada co (np. ja nie jadam kiełbasek, więc ta, którą mi nałożono została zmarnowana) 4) w naszym pokoju był problem z wifi. Udało nam się znaleźć na to sposób, ale ogólnie byliśmy zbyt daleko od routera, więc gdyby nie położenie telefonu przy drzwiach i hotspotowanie internetu na inne urządzenia, nie moglibyśmy z niego korzystać

Posizione ottimale, essendo l’isola molto piccola. Il personale é gentilissimo. Ci hanno preso i bagagli appena arrivati con il Boat transfer e portati all’hotel con il tuo tuktuk, nonostante il porto sia di fronte all’hotel. Dopo il nostro check out sono stati così gentili da darci una camera in cui cambiarci dopo aver passato tutto il giorno in spiaggia.

A un minuto andando desde el puerto, muy céntrico, limpio, tranquilo. El personal muy amable y pendiente de ayudar en todo lo posible. La habitación y el baño amplios, cómodos y limpios.

El aire acondicionado de mi habitación no funcionaba y fue complicado poder dormir bien. El desayuno puede mejorar.

После подтверждения бронирования мне написали приветственное письмо, рассказали как добраться до острова. Помогли забронировать место на спидботе из Мале на Гули (цена 25$ с человека), подробно объяснили где находится причал и даже прислали фото лодки, что помогло мне быстро её найти. Встретили по прибытии, проводили при отъезде и помогли с багажом, всё бесплатно. Персонал дружелюбный, услужливый. Чисто, уборка номера и смена полотенец по запросу. Вода в номере бесплатно, ежедневно давали по 3 литра. Кормили хорошо. До бикини-пляжа 5 минут. Гест расположен прямо у береговой линии, приятно погулять вдоль моря. Рядом пирс, с которого вечером рыбаки прикармливают акул-нянек (вечернее развлечение)).

Мой номер был довольно старым, правда, это был самый дешёвый номер. Мешал постоянный шум от расположенной по соседству электростанции. На пляже с меня брали плату за шезлонг 5$, потому что я была постояльцем этого геста.

Нам понравилось все! Сразу после брони с нами связался Армен, и мы с ним обсудили все детали, мы бронировали на 3 дня, но Армен предложил доп скидку при бронирование 6 дней, мы согласились. Мы прилетели, подошли к назначенной стойки и уже через минуту 30-40 мы плыли на катере на остров, на берегу нас встречал работник отеля. Нас быстро оформили дали по стакану холодного сока,что очень приятно после долгой дороги и мы направились в номер. Брали полупансион, но потом пожалели что не взяли полный пансион по тому что по итогу питались здесь, пару раз ходили в другие места но нам там не понравилось, в одном ресторане отдали 60$ за две тарелки супа рис с креветками и жареную рыбу которую даже не дожарили и её есть невозможно (Ayala Ocean View) вот кстати его название!!! Один раз мы просили приготовить нам Шри ланкский Кари с тунцом, в меню этого нет, но ребята пошли нам на встречу и уже на следующий день в обед нам это приготовили, повар кстати из Шри Ланки. В заключение могу сказать следующее, еда Супер, персонал Супер, номера чисто уютно есть гель шампунь, кофе, чайник, холодильник,территория чистая, до бикини пляжа не спеша 10мин,обязательно вернусь снова и рекомендую другим, за такие деньги отдых был на высшем уровне, за 6 суток отдал 410$ включая трансфер!

Havia um vazamento no banheiro, o qual ficava sempre molhado. Na primeira noite não consegui dormir porque estava tendo uma obra de infraestrutura de ampliação da ilha (junho 2025), essa obra funcionava 24hs e era um barulho absurdo. Conversei com um funcionário do hotel que disse ser assim mesmo e deu de ombros. No segundo dia, apesar de ter solicitado café da manhã local, me trouxeram um café da manhã continental, o qual não queria, mesmo tendo informado que não comia a maioria das coisas que foram servidas, o funcionário do hotel me ignorou.

Its on the other side of the main beach but just a 5-10 minutes of walking distance. But the thing is, you will get you private beach here :) Very nice an quite environment, clean resort. Lots of trees and plants and seating arrangement beside the beach. Loved it a lot!

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the room was not properly cleaned. The bed linens appeared unchanged from the previous guest, and I found blood stains on the pillows. This was not only unacceptable but extremely concerning from a hygiene standpoint. I have attached photos as evidence to support my claim. While I did not expect luxury, I did expect a basic level of cleanliness and comfort, which was not met. This experience made my stay very uncomfortable and disappointing. I hope you take this matter seriously and ensure that other guests do not have to face a similar situation in the future.

Truly Value for Money – Great Stay! We had a very satisfying stay here. The hotel may not have 5-star facilities, but honestly, we got way more than what we paid for. It’s really great value for money! The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. One highlight was when our kids got so tired from the trip that we all accidentally fell asleep during lunch time and missed the buffet. Surprisingly, the hotel kindly prepared another lunch for us – such a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated! If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable stay with warm hospitality, this place is a great choice. Highly recommended!

Furniture and bathroom was kinda old as things were falling apart if you didn’t use them super carefully. Ordered breakfast at 7am turned out 7:30 with ferry coming just 15mins after which was annoying (we were the only guests at the time)

The washroom door got locked . I had to call from the window. They came running. I would recommend everyone to check the door before going and take the phone inside the washroom to make the call. Also, I would love if they give water bottles everyday

Great location, nice size rooms, plenty of food options and dietary requirements catered for - vegetarian, toddlertarian etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The host and his family made us feel very welcome and contributed to a wonderful feeling of zen on the island, which is a hidden gem. Airport transfers organised and did a few private excursions withthem as well, which were great fun and they took go pro films of under water adventures which was very cool.

Communication around excursions - at times the scope and cost of the excursions were not 100% clear. Make sure you are clear on what you are doing and costs beforehand.

The staff was very friendly specially the Manager Armeen kept checking on us. We were given early check in and late check out at our request. Food was delicious cooked by Ranjan. Would come back.

Close location to the marina, restaurants and the beach (which is amazing). The hotel is simple but comfortable.

Somewhat strange smell in the bathroom.

We stayed for 6 nights, family of four. Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the port. We were at the 101 room. Hotel is on the beach but it is not bikini beach. You have to walk around 10 minutes to reach bikini beach. We had full board. juice and water were provided with all meals. Breakfast was coffee, tea, jam, bread, butter, sausages ... mostly same every day. For lunch and dinner it was always two types of rice, some meat and salad, same every day. The staff were very polite, never pushy, they will provide you with everything you need. Very nice guys. also, you get towels for beach

Hotel is little out dated. It is more like boutique hotel. We booked for all inclusive, but instead we got full board. But it is worth the money. They do not have sun beads on the bikini beach, and others hotel had those.

They are very gracious in giving us early check-in and late check out. The AC in the room is perfect and you get exactly what they advertised. The owner did an extra mile in checking for my lost phone but unluckily, it was not returned as there was no CCTV in the restaurant that we dined in. We took half board. I love the nasi goreng. I hope they have dessert during dinner.

The location, Gulhi, doesn't have CCTV. Even the restaurant, Hotel Fulhoi, doesn't have CCTV. The local police are not helpful with the investigation. If you will decide to go to Maldives, do not choose this local island as it lacks security. But nevertheless, Aqua Sunset provides exceptional service.

Fantastic stay, small beautiful island with affordable prices, nice staff. They let us have an early check in and a late check out which was much appreciated. The food was interesting and traditional which was a nice change from the usual restaurants in the other countries we've been to. Overall price performace is great. Highlight was the staff.

So where to start,..for the price paid you can not expect anything better. The food is great, the place is clean and it has the best position on the island. Amazing sunset area where you can chill out coming from the beach, waiting for the dinner,.. However have in mind this isn't an all-inclusive resort. The rooms are very basic but clean and toilet and shower are small but we didn't miss anything. We were staying for 9 days alltogether and really enjoyed every second of it. Great service by the owner- always willing to help.

Sometimes you have to wait for some things at the breakfast- however do not be inpatient- go with the flow :)

We had an excellent stay in Aqua Sunset Gulhi. The island is beautifull and very affordable. The hotel itself isn't a 5* hotel, but you get a lot for the money paid. It is clean, food is good, staff is amazing. Especially the owner - trying all the time to help in anyway. They organize an excellent transfer - speedboat- from the airport.

To be constructive - we would wish for some more seafood for the lunch or dinner allthough the food was great- very simple and just delicous

Confirmation, communication, transportation to and from, location, excursions, welcome drink was delicious, food, friendly staff, quiet room, comfortable bed, nice shower, refrigerator for cold drinks, peaceful dining area.

Everything was wonderful. If you have mobility issues, ask for floor 1 or 2 when you book.

Nice Hotel with a comfy outdoor area directly at the beach. You can't swim there but the Bikini-Beach is only a few minutes away. The staff was very friendly. Dinner was tasty, for me it was a bit too much meat but it was delicious. Everything was very clean and our room had an ac.

Wifi was poor. The breakfast consist of Toast, Egg and sausages and was the same every day. I would have wished some vegetables or fruits. Except the last evening, there was no music or anything in the evening. It was very quiet on the island.

Overall the room was ok and bed was comfortable but many BUTs

This feedback is because i have comparison to other hotels in Maafushi, this Place is more expensive and much worse for what offers. No any welcome or explanation. No any excursion offer and the agency they work with we could not do any trip because you have to be in 8 people (fortunatelly we managed by ourself going to other hotel). Breakfast was very poor only eggs and wurstel. And last, when we left public ferry for Maafushi didn’t pass and they organized Transport for us but didn’t said they will charge us 30usd. Tip: stay in Maafushi and visit Gulhi only with day trip. I had to keep it because one month before it was not anymore free cancellation.

The hotel is great, comfy and well located on the side of the sunset that you can witness ervery evening. Food is good with a very good sri lankan chief The boss and the personal are very friendly and always happy to help; The hotel offers good sea excursions with a very friendly and kind team ( turtles, sharks and fish tank ) I really appreciated my stay there and wil come back for sure !

Amazing location,hart of the Gulhi

We enjoyed our stay so much here. We had the last night booked in another hotel and we ended up canceling it and booking another night in this hotel because of how much we loved it. The staff were all wonderful and the owner Mohamed Armeen was so helpful and kind. They have excursions; we booked one with them where we saw dolphins and reefs and swam with whale sharks, turtles, fish, and manta rays. We also visited a local island in the trip and lunch was provided. They also are able to provide transportation to and from Male airport for a fee. Bikini Beach was a 5 minute walk and it’s one of best beaches I’ve been to. Very clean, clear, and blue. The white sand was clean as well. Also, the food was amazing and the view was beautiful from the hotel.

The people that work there are very nice and they try to help you with everything, but unfortunately there’s no a reception 24hrs open

We had a lot of animals in the room and the food is always the same (rice and chicken) and you will get tired of it after a few days. Also we never understand why sometimes the meal was buffet and sometimes they choose for you and give you a plate already assembled.

The facility was vey comfortable and value for money. The staff were very nice and helped with various queries

The staff at Aqua Sunset was extremely friendly and helpful, they really made our stay so much better! They were always there to help and assist with any questions. The place was very clean, the food was super nice and the half board was excellent value for money. We would definitely recommend staying here. And the seaview from the room was beautiful.
